35. A Bibliometric Analysis of Antibiotic Resistance Genes in Soil Media Based on Web of Science.

Abstract

Due to the rapid advancement of economic and social development, soil pollution has increasingly become a concern, with gradually increasing soil treatment research; however, a systematic review on soil antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) research is still lacking. In order to understand the evolution characteristics and development trend of ARGs research, this study visually analyzes the research on soil ARGs from 2002 to 2022 based on the English literature retrieved from the database of the Web of Science using the CiteSpace software. The findings reveal that: (1) The number of publications has generally increased in the past 20 years, and it is currently entering a stage of rapid growth. (2) Yongguan Zhu, Dong Zhu, et al. formed the core author research group on soil antibiotic resistance genes, providing frontier investigation for the study of new pollutants. University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, University of Science and Technology of China, Nanjing Agricultural University, Zhejiang University, and other institutions cooperate relatively closely. (3) The research hotspots mainly focus on antibiotics, tetracyclines, and fertilizers, dealing with the sources and transmission of soil ARGs as well as the microorganisms involved. (4) Frontier keywords continue to change with time, showing the characteristics of phased evolution. The research field has gradually expanded, with content shifting from macro to micro, demonstrating a trend of continuous in-depth division. (5) The highly cited literature focuses on the source and diffusion of soil ARGs, with relatively few studies on the relationship between new pollutants and ARGs, as well as the prevention and control of ARGs. Abstract

Energy is indispensable in human life and social development, but this has led to an overconsumption of non-renewable energy. Sustainable energy is needed to maintain the global energy balance. Lignocellulose from agriculture or forestry is often discarded or directly incinerated. It is abundantly available to be discovered and studied as a biomass energy source. Therefore, this research uses Staphylea holocarpa wood as feedstock to evaluate its potential as energy source. We characterized Staphylea holocarpa wood by utilizing FT–IR, GC–MS, TGA, Py/GC–MS and NMR. The results showed that Staphylea holocarpa wood contained a large amount of oxygenated volatiles, indicating that it has the ability to act as biomass energy sources which can achieve green chemistry and sustainable development. Abstract

Surgical brain injury (SBI) can disrupt the function of the blood‑brain barrier (BBB), leading to brain edema and neurological dysfunction. Thus, protecting the BBB and mitigating cerebral edema are key factors in improving the neurological function and prognosis of patients with SBI. The inhibition of WNK lysine deficient protein kinase/STE20/SPS1‑related proline/alanine‑rich kinase (SPAK) signaling ameliorates cerebral edema, and this signaling pathway regulates the phosphorylation of the downstream Na+‑K+‑Cl‑ cotransporter 1 (NKCC1). Therefore, the purpose of the present study was to investigate the role of SPAK in SBI‑induced cerebral edema and to determine whether the SPAK/NKCC1 signaling pathway was involved in SBI via regulating phosphorylation. An SBI model was established in male Sprague‑Dawley rats, and the effects of SPAK on the regulation of the NKCC1 signaling pathway on BBB permeability and nerve cell apoptosis by western blotting analysis, immunofluorescence staining, TUNEL staining, Fluoro‑Jade C staining, and brain edema and nervous system scores. The results demonstrated that, compared with those in the sham group, phosphorylated (p)‑SPAK and p‑NKCC1 protein expression levels were significantly increased in the SBI model group. After inhibiting p‑SPAK, the expression level of p‑NKCC1, neuronal apoptosis and BBB permeability were significantly reduced in SBI model rats. Taken together, these findings suggested that SBI‑induced increases in p‑SPAK and p‑NKCC1 expression exacerbated post‑traumatic neural and BBB damage, which may be mediated via the ion‑transport‑induced regulation of cell edema.
