Abstract

Introduction. Neural network models of autoassociative, distributed memory allow storage and retrieval of many items (vectors) where the number of stored items can exceed the vector dimension (the number of neurons in the network). This opens the possibility of a sublinear time search (in the number of stored items) for approximate nearest neighbors among vectors of high dimension. The purpose of this paper is to review models of autoassociative, distributed memory that can be naturally implemented by neural networks (mainly with local learning rules and iterative dynamics based on information locally available to neurons). Scope. The survey is focused mainly on the networks of Hopfield, Willshaw and Potts, that have connections between pairs of neurons and operate on sparse binary vectors. We discuss not only autoassociative memory, but also the generalization properties of these networks. We also consider neural networks with higher-order connections and networks with a bipartite graph structure for non-binary data with linear constraints. Conclusions. In conclusion we discuss the relations to similarity search, advantages and drawbacks of these techniques, and topics for further research. An interesting and still not completely resolved question is whether neural autoassociative memories can search for approximate nearest neighbors faster than other index structures for similarity search, in particular for the case of very high dimensional vectors., Comment: 31 pages

Abstract

Results of the tests on microbiological purity of the test samples of "Tamsuloprost" and "Phytoprost" suppositories for the treatment of prostate diseases have shown that no viable cells of fungi were found in the preparations, the number of viable cells of microorganisms is within a norman rate. Studying the effectiveness of antimicrobial preservatives it was found that the test samples meet criterion of the requirements of the State Pharmacopoeia of Ukraine.

Abstract

A series of extruded H-ZSM-5/alumina composite catalysts were prepared and characterized using N2 sorption isotherm, transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, NH3-TPD, and pyridine adsorption. The methanol conversion over the as-prepared catalyst as well as its components was studied at 500 °C. The catalysts with H-ZSM-5/alumina ratio 3/1 and 1/1 (by mass) catalyst exhibited the highest ethylene selectivity (up to 44%) and the ethylene/propylene ratio up to 10/1, whereas zeolite H-ZSM-5 demonstrated the propylene selectivity up to 30% and the ethylene/propylene ratio 1/8. In contrast, the catalyst with the H-ZSM-5/alumina ratio 1/3 demonstrated no activity toward olefins synthesis. The as-prepared H-ZSM-5/alumina catalysts have a long lifetime in the methanol-to-hydrocarbons conversion, which is several times higher compared to pure zeolite H-ZSM-5. The catalyst regeneration results in recovering the initial catalytic activity. The obtained findings reveal that embedding microporous zeolite in the mesoporous alumina matrix facilitates the mass transfer limitations and decreases the number of strong acid sites. These factors govern an essential performance of the as-prepared catalyst in the methanol-to-ethylene reaction. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

За допомогою ЯМР 13С спектроскопії і квантово-хімічними методами в різних наближеннях (обмежений метод Хартрі-Фока, DFT і МР2) для ізольованих молекул і розчинів з використанням емпіричної корекції ефектів розчинників (процедура РСМ COSMO) досліджена 4-гідрокси оксо-таутомерія в ряду похідних 3-заміщених 2-метилхінолін-4(1Н)-онів. Різні за своїм характером замісники не чинять істотного впливу на значення хімічного зсуву вуглецю в положенні С4 хінолонового циклу. Виняток становить лише екранування вуглецю, пов’язаного з атомом брому в молекулі 3-бромо-2-метил-1,4-дигідрохінолін-4-oну. Значне дезекранування виявлене у всіх випадках у спектрах ЯМР 13С для ядер вуглецю в 4-му положенні кільця вказує на користь існування всіх досліджених похідних у розчині в DMSO-d6 у вигляді 4-оксо-форм. The experimental and calculated values for the chemical shift of carbon in position C4 of 4-oxo and 4-hydroxy isomers differ considerably and can be used as a criterion for assigning quinolin-4 (1H)-ones to a particular tautomeric form., С помощью ЯМР 13С спектроскопии и квантово-химическими методами в различных приближениях (ограниченный метод Хартри-Фока, DFT и МР2) для изолированных молекул и растворов с использованием эмпирической коррекции эффектов растворителей (процедура РСМ COSMO) исследована 4-гидрокси 4-оксо-таутомерия в ряду производных 3-замещенных 2-метилхинолин-4(1Н)-онов. Различные по своему характеру заместители не оказывают существенного влияния на значение химического сдвига углерода в положении С4 хинолонового цикла. Исключение составляет лишь экранирование углерода, связанного с атомом брома в молекуле 3-бромо-2-метил-1,4-дигидрохинолин-4-oна. Значительное дезэкранирование, обнаруженное во всех случаях в спектрах ЯМР 13С для ядер углерода в 4-ом положении кольца, говорит в пользу существования всех исследованных производных в растворе в DMSO-d6 в виде 4-оксо-форм. Abstract

Background. There are no complete data on the occurrence of bacteria in the outbreak of chronic inflammation a consequence of their high virulence, or the result of a defect of local mechanisms of immune protection. To answer these questions, as well as to evaluate the nature, severity changes periapical tissues of the tooth and the activity of the inflammatory process in the apex of the tooth root is possible only during the morphological study of biopsy material. Objective. The aim of this work was to study the cellular composition and ultrastructural features of the granulation tissue formed during the current the primary and secondary apical periodontitis. Methods. There were included in the histological examination of the teeth 78, who underwent resection of the apex, followed by a fence of histological material. For ultrastructural studies of granuloma periodontal tissue samples were fixed with 2.5% glutaraldehyde solution, material embedded in Epon-812 («SPI-Pon ™ 812 Epoxy Embedding Kit», USA). The study was conducted using a transmission electron microscopy. Results. In the development of destructive periodontal inflammation are actively involved both specific and non-specific mechanisms of immunity. Conclusion. In primary periodontitis granulation tissue contains a moderate amount of white blood cells of various types, as well as single macrophages and plasma cells with reduced functional activity. In secondary periodontitis granuloma contains numerous mononuclear macrophages, plasma cells and giant multinucleated cells with increased activity, which corresponds to the morphological picture of the formation of immune granulomas., Целью данной работы явилось изучение клеточного состава и ультраструктурных особенностей грануляционной ткани, формирующейся в ходе течения первичного и вторичного верхушечного периодонтита. Морфологический анализ показал, что при первичном периодонтите грануляционная ткань содержит умеренное количество лейкоцитов различных типов, а также единичные макрофаги и плазмоциты с ограниченной функциональной активностью. При вторичном периодонтите ткань гранулемы содержит многочисленные мононуклеарные макрофаги, плазмоциты и гигантские многоядерные клетки с повышенной активностью, что соответствует морфологической картине формирования иммунной гранулемы., Метою даної роботи було вивчення клітинного складу і ультраструктурних особливостей грануляційної тканини, що формується в ході первинного та вторинного верхівкового періодонтиту. Морфологічний аналіз показав, що при первинному періодонтиті грануляційна тканина містить помірну кількість лейкоцитів різних типів, а також поодинокі макрофаги і плазмоцити з обмеженою функціональною активністю. При вторинному періодонтиті тканина гранульоми містить численні мононуклеарні макрофаги, плазмоцити і гігантські багатоядерні клітини з підвищеною активністю, що відповідає морфологічній картині формування імунної гранульоми.

Abstract

Background The search of criteria of differential enzymatic activity of cyclooxygenase-2 and matrix metalloproteinases immunocompetent cells of granulomas in the primary and secondary apical periodontitis (AP) provides information about the features of lesions of periodontal stromal component, and it can be used as the basis for future therapeutic intervention. Objective. The purpose of this study was to compare the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of the cellular composition of granulation tissue, which formed during primary and secondary apical periodontitis; comparison of morphological characteristics of the structure apical granuloma with immunohistochemical indicators of markers expression of cluster of differentiation CD3, CD4, CD8, CD68, CD138, CD20 and cyclooxygenase-2 and matrix metalloproteinase 9. Methods. The study included 59 patients aged 18 to 50 years with apical periodontitis. Patients were divided into 2 clinical group: 1 – with primary periodontitis and 2 – with secondary periodontitis. For morphological studies using peryapikalnoyi granulation tissue biopsies. Results. Significant differences were found for the fractions of CD4+ T helper cells (p=0,034, r=0,321), CD20+ mature B lymphocytes (p=0,001, r=0,671), CD68+ macrophages (p=0,011, r=0,684) and CD138+ plasma cells (p=0,002, r=0,645). And, also likely decrease in the ratio of CD4+/CD8+ (p=0,002, r=0,645), by reducing the fraction of CD4+ T-helper cells, against reducing the number of leukocytes, expression of MMP-9 (p=0,04, r=0,302) and COX-2 (p=0,013, r=0,321) with secondary apical periodontitis, compared to the primary periodontitis. Conclusion. Disease progression and the beginning of the destruction of bone tissue with the formation of granulation tissue is the result of abnormal immune responses, III and IV type hypersensitivity reactions, with the formation of immune granulomas., Целью данной работы было сравнение качественных и количественных характеристик клеточного состава грануляционной ткани, которая формируется при первичном и вторичном апикальном периодонтите; сопоставление морфологических особенностей строения периапикальной гранулемы с иммуногистохимическими показателями экспрессии маркеров кластерной дифференцировки CD3, CD4, CD8, CD68, CD138, CD20, а также циклооксигеназы-2 и матриксной металлопротеиназы 9. Найдена статистически достоверная разница для фракций CD4+ Т-хелперов (р=0,034, r=0,321), CD20+ зрелых В-лимфоцитов (р=0,001, r=0,671), CD68+ макрофагов / гигантских клеток (р=0,011, r=0,684) и CD138+ плазмоцитов (р=0,002, r=0,645). А также достоверное уменьшение отношения CD4+/CD8+ (р=0,002, r=0,645), за счет уменьшения фракции CD4+ Т-хелперов, на фоне уменьшения количества полиморфноядерних лейкоцитов, экспрессии ММР-9 (р=0,04, r=0,302) и СОХ-2 (р=0,013, r=0,321) при вторичном апикальном периодонтите, в сравнении с первичным., Метою даної роботи було порівняння якісних та кількісних характеристик клітинного складу грануляційної тканини, що формується в ході первинного та вторинного апікального періодонтиту, співставлення морфологічних особливостей будови періапікальної гранульоми з імуногістохімічними показниками експресії маркерів кластерної диференціації CD3, CD4, CD8, CD68, CD138, CD20, а також циклооксигенази-2 та матриксної металопротеїнази 9. Значущі відмінності було виявлено для фракцій CD4+ Т-хелперів (р=0,034, r=0,321), CD20+ зрілих В-лімфоцитів (р=0,001, r=0,671), CD68+ макрофагів і гігантських клітин (р=0,011, r=0,684) та CD138+ плазмоцитів (р=0,002, r=0,645). А також вірогідне зменшення відношення CD4+/CD8+ (р=0,002, r=0,645), за рахунок зменшення фракції CD4+ Т-хелперів, на тлі зменшенні кількості поліморфноядерних лейкоцитів, експресії ММР-9 (р=0,04, r=0,302) та СОХ-2 (р=0,013, r=0,321) при вторинному апікальному періодонтиті, порівняно з первинним.
