Every day, hospitals carry out various health services and administrative activities constantly, so therefore hospitals are expected to reduce negative impacts on the environment by creating green hospitals. Green hospitals are hospitals that are designed, built, renovated, operated, and maintained by considering health and environmental development principles. This research used qualitative and quantitative methods. The qualitative method used is a case study method in the form of in-depth exploration from various perspectives related to the uniqueness of the green hospital system based on evidence obtained at the research location. The quantitative method was carried out using a descriptive method in the form of simple statistics to describe the extent of green hospital achievements at Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital. The types of data collected are primary data from observation and in-depth interviews and secondary data from document review results. Implementation of green hospital in RSUPN Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo, from 93 indicators 84,9% or 79 indicators are accomplished in RSUPN Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo. The indicators with the most presentation are location and landscape, hopitals’ structure, Water efficiency, food processing, and air quality with 100% percentage. And the indicator with the least presentation are energy efficiency with 64,3% percentage.

Climate change is a significant challenge that the medical community must address. Hospitals are large facilities with high water and energy consumption, as well as high levels of waste generation, which makes it important to pursue green hospital initiatives. Neurosurgery requires substantial energy for surgeries and tests. Based on the keywords "Climate change," "green hospital," "neurosurgery," "energy consumption," "environmental impact" listed in this paper, we extracted representative manuscripts, and the practices employed in the authors' hospital were assessed. The "Guidelines for Environmental Consideration in Hospitals" and "Guidelines for the Sustainability of Hospital Environments" have been developed; however, they are not implemented in most hospitals in Japan. Inhalational anesthetics were found to contribute significantly to greenhouse gas emissions. Educating patients and staff and employing the "8 Rs" (rethink, refuse, reduce, reuse, recycle, research, renovation, and revolution) showed promise in achieving green hospital standards. The advent of 'green hospitals' in Japan is imminent. The active participation of neurosurgeons can play a crucial role in diminishing the environmental footprint of health care while simultaneously enhancing medical standards. Given the pressing challenges posed by climate change, there is a critical need for an overhaul of medical practices. Hospitals function to provide health services to the community, but they have the potential to be contributors to hazardous waste, climate change, and global warming. The concept of green hospitals is now necessary for changing hospital functions developed by various hospitals worldwide. The success of the green hospital concept requires support from the perspective of the surrounding society. The research aims to analyze public awareness, attitudes, behavior, and norms to build the power of green hospitals. This research method is simple linear regression. The research instrument used a questionnaire. The respondents of this research were 400 green hospital users from Indonesia and Taiwan. The data analysis method includes tests for normality, linearity, and heteroscedasticity. Once these three tests are met, a linear regression analysis is conducted to understand the influence and prediction of public awareness, attitudes, behavior, and norms on building the power of green hospitals. The research results show that each aspect of public awareness, attitudes, behavior, and norms significantly positively influence the building of the power of green hospitals. Each additional value of public awareness, attitudes, behavior, and norms is expected to strengthen the image of a green hospital. Maintaining the sustainability of green hospital programs worldwide not only focuses on implementing the green concept but also needs to pay attention to public perception when choosing a hospital. The research contribution is significant to developing more sustainable green hospitals, increasing knowledge about green hospitals, and increasing public interest and perception of green hospitals.

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: This study aims to create an environmentally friendly hospital at West Pasaman regional public hospital by implementing a sustainable development model, which consists of the green hospital, green building, green innovation, and green human resource management. The researchers previously discussed the physical aspects of the building, efficiency related to energy saving and hospital waste management. However, from several references obtained, it has not yet been discussed what is the extent of the benefits derived from the entire implementation of the green hospital. Thus, this study contributes to creating an environmentally friendly hospital model mediated by a green hospital and it is influenced by green building, green innovation, and green human resource management.METHODS: The study method uses a survey, which uses a questionnaire as a data collection tool. The population in this study consisted of employees, visitors, and the community around West Pasaman regional public hospital. The selection of the sample in this study was based on the proportionate cluster random sampling approach, which was analyzed using the structural equation modeling–partial least square method.FINDINGS: There are ten findings for analysis at the West Pasaman regional public hospital. First, green building has a significant effect of 0.187 on the green hospital. Second, green innovation has a significant effect of 0.230 on the green hospital. Third, green human resource management has a significant effect of 0.235 on the green hospital. Fourth, green building has a significant effect of 0.263 on the environmentally friendly hospital. Fifth, green innovation has a significant effect of 0.192 on the environmentally friendly hospital. Sixth, green human resource management has a significant effect of 0.197 on the environmentally friendly hospital. Seventh, the green hospital has a significant effect of 0.241 on the environmentally friendly hospital. Eighth, green building has a significant effect of 0.045 on the environmentally friendly hospital mediated by the green hospital. Ninth, green innovation has a significant effect of 0.055 on the environmentally friendly hospital mediated by the green hospital. Tenth, green human resource management has a significant effect of 0.057 on the environmentally friendly hospital mediated by the green hospital.CONCLUSION: Implementation of the sustainable development model as a form of environmental management policy at the West Pasaman regional public hospital is optimally needed in order to achieve an environmentally friendly hospital. This study recommends employees, visitors the community around the West Pasaman regional public hospital to increase the green hospital, green building, green innovation, and green human resource management in achieving an environmentally friendly hospital.

Background: Green hospital promotes public health by continually reducing their environmental impact and ultimately eliminating its contribution to the burden of disease. Aim: To design and validate protocol for Greening Hospitals in Egyptian hospitals. Method: It is a quasi-experimental study. The study subjects consisted of managers (112) and (45) jury groups. It was conducted in two private internationally accredited hospitals. Three tools were used for collecting data (Managers' knowledge about green hospital questionnaire, Green Hospital Checklist, and opinionnaire). Results: (91.07%) of managers had unsatisfactory knowledge about the green hospital before awareness sessions. While, post-awareness sessions (86.6%) had satisfactory knowledge levels. (51.785%) of managers perceived practice of green health poor. All managers accepted suggested steps of greening hospital protocol. Regarding, validation of the designed greening hospital protocol as reported by a panel of experts, all agreed upon the designed protocol. Conclusion: Managers lacked knowledge about the green hospital before awareness sessions. Compared to post-awareness sessions they had a satisfactory knowledge level. The increase in the amount of daily waste generated by hospitals has contributed to climate change and global warming in the world. This is the basis for the development of the green hospital concept as an effort to reduce the impact of environmental damage in the health sector. Green hospital assessment in Indonesia can refer to the assessment tool developed by the Green Building Council Indonesia (GBCI) called greenship version 1.1. This study aims to analyze the differences in the implementation of green hospitals according to GBCI guidelines in two hospitals as a reference for hospitals in Indonesia. This research method is a narrative review, by searching grey literature according to the inclusion criteria. Based on the literature selection, data from two theses were obtained at Embung Fatimah Hospital Batam in 2017 and PON Prof. Dr. Mahar Mardjono Hospital in 2021 which will be analyzed for the three categories that have the highest proportion of benchmark values. The results show that the implementation of the Energy Efficiency and Conservation category at RS PON Prof. Dr. dr. Mahar Mardjono (62.5%) is better than at RSUD Embung Fatimah Batam (31.3%), the implementation of the Water Conservation category at RSUD Embung Fatimah Batam (50%) is better than at RS PON Prof. Dr. dr. Mahar Mardjono in 2021. Dr. dr. Mahar Mardjono (35%) and the implementation of the Indoor Health and Comfort category at RS PON Prof. Dr. dr. Mahar Mardjono (30.8%) and RSUD Embung Fatimah Batam (23.1%) still requires more attention because the percentage of achievements is still below 50%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study aims to determine the effect of various determinants consisting of green building, green innovation and green human resource management (HRM) on the green hospital at Pasaman Barat Hospital. The population in this study were 473 employees of Pasaman Barat Hospital and a sample of 83 employees. The research method used is a survey method and data analysis for the inner model, outer model and hypothesis using SEM PLS. The findings of this study are that green HRM is the main factor driving the implementation of green hospitals in Pasaman Barat Hospital, besides that it is also influenced by the contribution of green innovation. The conclusion of this study is that employees of West Pasaman Hospital must improve green HRM and green innovation to encourage a green hospital at West Pasaman Hospital. Bu araştırma ile yeşil/sürdürülebilir hastaneler üzerine Türkiye’de yürütülmüş olan tez çalışmaları incelenerek hastanelerinin sürdürülebilirliği ile ilgili literatür görüşünün ortaya çıkarılması ve çalışmanın, konu ile ilgili araştırma yapmak isteyen araştırmacılara bir rehber olması amaçlanmıştır. Ayrıca yürütülen tez çalışmaları doğrultusunda Türkiye’deki hastanelerin sürdürülebilirliğine ilişkin görüşlerin ortaya çıkarılması amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada sürdürülebilir hastaneler ile ilgili yüksek lisans ve doktora tezlerinin bibliyografik analizi ve betimsel içerik analizi yapılmıştır. Araştırma, Ulusal Tez Merkezi tarafından sunulan veri tabanı kullanılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Ulusal Tez Merkezinde sürdürülebilir hastanelerle ilgili yer alan tezlerin farklı birçok anabilim dallarında yürütülmekle birlikte en fazla mimarlık ve işletme alanlarında yürütüldüğü tespit edilmiştir. Tezlerde en fazla araştırılan içeriğin, hastanelerin sürdürülebilirlik kriterlerine uygunluğunu değerlendirmeye yönelik olduğu saptanmıştır. Yürütülen çalışmalardan elde edilen sonuçlar doğrultusunda hastanelerin sürdürülebilirliği için ön plana çıkan kriterlerin birbirlerinden farklı oldukları belirlenmiştir. Sürdürülebilir hastanelerle ilgili yürütülen tez çalışmalarında en fazla yeşil hastane değerlendirme formu kullanılmakla birlikte genel olarak birbirlerinden farklı değerlendirme araçlarının kullanıldığı, standart bir değerlendirme aracının kullanılmadığı saptanmıştır. Ayrıca çalışmalarda toplamda 161 hastanenin (aynı hastane birden fazla kez değerlendirilmiş olabilir) incelendiği, bu hastanelerin büyük çoğunluğunun devlet hastanesi olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Hastanelerin sürdürülebilirliğinin değerlendirilmesinde araştırmacıların farklı konulara odaklandıkları görülmüştür. İncelenilen hastanelerde yeşil hastane olma kriterleri bakımından yasal kriterlere uygunluğun önemsendiği anlaşılmıştır. Hastanelerin sürdürülebilirliği ile ilgili çeşitli engellerin bulunduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularından elde edilen sonuçlara göre araştırmacılara çeşitli öneriler geliştirilmiştir.

Gelişen ve değişen dünya yerel ve küresel çapta, 20. yüzyılın yarısından günümüze kadar hızlı nüfus artışı, aşırı kentleşme, aşırı doğal kaynak kullanımına bağlı olarak çok çeşitli çevre sorunlarıyla yüzleşmektedir. Modern sağlık kurumlarında ortaya çıkan aşırı atık üretimi, aşırı enerji tüketimi ve kaynakların aşırı kullanımı ise; “yeşil hastane” terimiyle karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Bu anlamda sağlık kurumlarının çevre sorunlarını artırır nitelikteki problemlere çözümü ve çevreye daha az zararla hizmet geliştirmesi amaçlanmıştır. Sağlık kurumlarına ve çevreye sağladığı katkılar incelenerek; yeşil hastane kavramı hakkında bilgi vermek, uygulanabilir yeşil hastane kavramını ortaya koymak aynı zamanda Türkiye’de sağlık sektöründe yeşil kavramına dikkat çekmek çalışmanın amacını oluşturmaktadır. Sonuç olarak; yeşil hastane kimliğinin hem özel hem de kamu da artırılması sağlık hizmetlerinin maliyetlerini düşürmekle beraber sağlık hizmetlerinin kalitesini de artırmaktadır. Sağlık sektörünün gerek çevresel gerekse ekonomik açıdan etkileri göz önünde bulundurularak hem sağlık uzmanlarına hem de sağlık hizmetinin üretimi ve sunumunda toplumsal gelişime katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir.

When the World Health Organization (WHO) analyzed the culprits of global warming, it was found that in developed countries with relatively few high-polluting heavy industries, the medical sector is one of the sources of high-density carbon emissions. Therefore, the medical industry has a noticeable impact on the environment. Amid the current COVID-19 epidemic, this study adopts the theory of planned behavior (TPB), widely used in decision-making science. We selected a regional teaching hospital with 339 employees in Taiwan to obtain valid questionnaire data. We explore the comparative analysis of different intra-organizational stakeholders' "attitudes," "subjective norms," and "perceived behavioral control" on the hospital's behavioral intention to promote green healthcare. The results show that the TPB model has reliable explanatory power. All three factors have a positive and significant effect on promoting green hospital behavior. Among them, perceived behavioral control was the most notable. A comparative analysis of the differences among stakeholders in the research model shows that "medical administrators" and "nursing staff" have a higher proportion of significant influence effects in various hypotheses, highlighting the critical roles of these two groups in promoting green hospitals. This research policy suggests that the cross-departmental staff in the hospital put forward green innovation ideas, strengthen internal environmental education and management, establish a good incentive system for front-line nursing staff, and implement the sustainable development strategy of the hospital. Healthcare organizations especially hospitals are increasingly recognizing their responsibility to address environmental, social, and economic impacts while delivering optimal patient care. Hospital waste contributes significantly to global warming and environmental pollution. Healthcare services require to deliver in such way that it should not only financially sustainable but also environmentally sustainable. This paper offers insights into practices aimed at reducing waste, promoting recycling, and reusing materials and devices to foster environmental sustainability within the healthcare sector. Using qualitative interviews and secondary literature data, hospitals in Mumbai were examined as case studies to understand the perspectives of healthcare professionals and identify key challenges and factors influencing the implementation of green operational modules. The study proposes guidelines for efficient waste management in healthcarefacilities, emphasizing the integration of eco-innovations and green practices. By incorporating these guidelines, hospitals can achieve better performance in waste reduction and environmental sustainability, thus contributing to the broader goal of creating greener healthcare systems. Background and Aim: Green Hospital is a concept that protects the environment from destructive human actions. It has emerged to achieve the goals of sustainable development, following the world wars, the industrial revolution, and the increment of environmental destruction. Further, Hospitals have moved towards the implementation of green hospital criteria according to their social responsibilities. This study aimed to investigate the challenges of achieving green hospital indicators. Methods: The present study was conducted as a Mixed Method (quantitative and qualitative) in a military, educational, and selected reference hospital in Tehran in 2016. The first phase was quantitative which was performed based on collected information through translated checklists and initial hospital statistics. In the second phase, qualitative information was obtained by using semi-structured interviews with 10 hospital employees working in the fields related to the green hospital, Finally. the data were analyzed with EXCEL and ATLAS.ti software (Version 7) by utilizing central criteria (quantitative) and conventional content analysis (qualitative). Results: Based on quantitative findings of the checklist, the rate of compliance with the Green Hospital criteria was 56.8 percent. In the qualitative phase, the main challenges of the hospital were divided into two main categories (Internal and External factors) and 7 sub-categories, including the challenges of human resources, organizational and managerial, technical, financial, laws and foreign issues, cultural, and factors related to the organization's clients. Conclusion: Based on the identified challenges, hospitals should work with external collaboration on educating and cultivating the clients and staff, amending government laws, modifying management thinking against environmental issues, and prioritizing these issues to pave the way for achieving green hospital criteria. Hospitals are essential for preserving and enhancing both human and environmental health. The "green hospital" concept seeks to redefine how medical facilities are constructed to preserve human life while protecting the environment. The concept of a "green hospital" and its potential benefits are discussed in this paper. It also discusses the "green hospital" concept in the United Arab Emirates as an example for future hospitals. The paper also discusses various aspects of green hospitals, such as facility design, energy efficiency, green procurement, and patient-centered concepts. Finally, the provided discussion and examples demonstrated the benefits of using the green hospital concept as a model for future hospitals, as well as the drawbacks and barriers to adopting the green hospital concept.

In green concept hospital work, several provisions must be obeyed so that all processes, including material selection, project implementation, and building operations, must refer to green principles. Green building planning and construction costs higher than conventional by 10–20%. By using theValue Engineering (VE) method and combined with the Lifecycle Cost Analysis (LCCA), the researcher applies the green hospital concept to a project which is a case study but is still cost-effective even lower than the original Bill of Quantity. To see the strong influence of effectiveness on the hospital project, the researcher distributed a questionnaire to stakeholders. The results of the questionnaire were processed and analyzed using the Statistics Products and Solution Services (SPSS) tool. VE is implemented after first creating a Function Analysis System Technique (FAST) diagram, before and after adding functions for certain work items. It turns out that the use of the VE and LCCA methods is very influential in improving cost performance. From the calculation of the VE method, the resulting costs are up to 2.62% of the initial cost and LCCA shows the payback period of the Solar Power Plant with time = 9:64 years 9 years 7 months. The novelty of this research is the selection materials and the green concept of working methods is still cost efficient and the installation of Photovoltaics (PV) on the roof of Hospital reaches a payback period which is feasible for new investment.

With this research it is aimed to reveal the literature view on the sustainability of hospitals by examining the thesis studies conducted in Turkey on green/sustainable hospitals and to be a guide for researchers who want to research the subject. In addition, in line with the thesis studies carried out, it is aimed to reveal the views on the sustainability of hospitals in Turkey. The research included bibliographic and descriptive content analysis of master's and doctoral theses related to sustainable hospitals. The research was carried out using the database provided by the National Thesis Center. Although the theses on sustainable hospitals in the National Thesis Center are carried out in many different departments, it has been determined that they are mainly carried out in architecture and business. It has been determined that the most researched content in theses is to evaluate hospitals' compliance with sustainability criteria. In line with the results obtained from the studies carried out, it has been determined that the criteria for the sustainability of the hospitals differ. Although the green hospital evaluation form is primarily used in the thesis studies on sustainable hospitals, it has been determined that different evaluation tools are used in general, and a standard evaluation tool is not used. In addition, it was determined that a total of 161 hospitals (the same hospital may have been evaluated more than once) were examined in the studies, and the majority of these hospitals were state hospitals. Researchers have observed that researchers focus on different issues in evaluating the sustainability of hospitals. It has been understood that compliance with legal criteria is considered important in terms of being a green hospital in the examined hospitals. It has been concluded that there are various obstacles related to the sustainability of hospitals. Introduction: Designing and constructing hospitals using green approach, renewable resources reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions, and improve environmental air quality. The purpose of the present study was to determine Green hospitalchr('39')s criteria in Fars province, Southwest of Iran, 2019. Methods: In the Qualitative study, first, the criteria were identified systematically. Then, the criteria for establishing a green hospital were determined by content analysis and software methods. Then, for localization, using the Delphi method, the effective criteria for establishing a green hospital in Fars province were selected. Thirty experts in the field were selected using purposive sampling. Excel 2016 software was used for analysis. This study was a mixed-method study that was conducted from 2018 to the first half of the year 2019. At first, the criteria were identified by the systematic review method, and then the data extraction was analyzed using the content method. Finally, the criteria identified by the questionnaire were provided to 30 health experts. Experts were selected by purposeful sampling. In the present study, Excel 2016 software was used for analysis. Results: Green Hospitalchr('39')s criteria were 72 criteria out of 21 common angles in the systematic review stage. In Fars province, 34 criteria in 13 dimensions of site stability, construction stage (architecture), environmental quality, management, resources, bio purchase, Experts selected energy efficiency, water, wastewater, waste and waste recycling, transportation, healthcare, and innovation. The most important aspects for Fars province are the management costs. Conclusion: The approved criteria for Fars province, as well as other valid models in the field of the green hospital, management, water efficiency, and energy, were approved. In general, the reasons for choosing approved dimensions can be due to the various models emphasizing these dimensions and the relevance of dimensions to hospitalschr('39') challenges.

Background and Aim: Green Hospital is a concept that protects the environment from destructive human actions. It has emerged to achieve the goals of sustainable development, following the world wars, the industrial revolution, and the increment of environmental destruction. Further, Hospitals have moved towards the implementation of green hospital criteria according to their social responsibilities. This study aimed to investigate the challenges of achieving green hospital indicators. Methods: The present study was conducted as a Mixed Method (quantitative and qualitative) in a military, educational, and selected reference hospital in Tehran in 2016. The first phase was quantitative which was performed based on collected information through translated checklists and initial hospital statistics. In the second phase, qualitative information was obtained by using semi-structured interviews with 10 hospital employees working in the fields related to the green hospital, Finally. the data were analyzed with EXCEL and ATLAS.ti software (Version 7) by utilizing central criteria (quantitative) and conventional content analysis (qualitative). Results: Based on quantitative findings of the checklist, the rate of compliance with the Green Hospital criteria was 56.8 percent. In the qualitative phase, the main challenges of the hospital were divided into two main categories (Internal and External factors) and 7 sub-categories, including the challenges of human resources, organizational and managerial, technical, financial, laws and foreign issues, cultural, and factors related to the organization's clients. Conclusion: Based on the identified challenges, hospitals should work with external collaboration on educating and cultivating the clients and staff, amending government laws, modifying management thinking against environmental issues, and prioritizing these issues to pave the way for achieving green hospital criteria. Introduction: Designing and constructing hospitals using green approach leads to the reduction of energy consumption and carbon emissions, and improvement of indoor air quality and the environment. The purpose of the present study is to prioritize the criteria for green hospital deployment model in Fars province. Methods: This studywhich included identifying criteria systematically, categorizing criteria for green hospital deployment, and agreeing on the most important criteria affecting green hospital deployment using Delphi method was conducted with 30 hospital experts in the field under study in two stages of Delphi and sampling using snowball method. Priority and relevance of variables have been discussed using dimethyl. Results: In the systematic review phase, the criteria for green hospital were 72 criteria out of 21 common patterns/models in the world. In Fars province, experts selected 34 criteria from 13 dimensions. Based on experts’ view, the most important dimensions in Fars province are management, water consumption, health care and treatment. Management dimension having the highest weight and being the most influential among the 13 dimensions of green hospital indicates the significance of managers' role in executing green hospitals. Conclusion: Green hospitals have an impact on healthcare industry and people. In this regard, the strategic role of managers in today's hospitals affects the environment while increasing costs in increasing the disease burden. It is also important to use modern methods and creativity in establishing green hospital standards.

Introduction: Today, observing environmental considerations in medical centers and hospitals is a requirement. Considering that no study has been done in the country on the design and construction aspects of such spaces from an environmental point of view, this study has been conducted with the aim of compiling effective indicators on the design and construction of a green hospital in the country. The type of research is survey and analytical. Methods: Methodology: In the first stage, using theoretical foundations, effective indicators were developed on the design and construction of hospitals and medical centers. Then, the indicators were reviewed and approved using the Delphi panel. Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was used to check the normality of the data. In the next step, by weighting the effective indicators, the indicators were prioritized through the Hierarchical Analysis Process (AHP) technique. Results: The results showed 7 main indicators and 30 sub-indices that had an abnormal distribution. A pairwise comparison of influential factors showed that the "Energy Management" index with 0.567 has the highest weight and then the "pollution control" index with a weight of 0.512. The lowest weight of the indicators belongs to the "landscape" factor with a score of 0.331. The sub-indices were weighed based on two parameters of technical importance and priority of execution time, which were found to have the highest score under the subheading "Compliance with LEED standards" and the sub-index "No use of pesticides, dyes and other toxic chemical derivatives". Conclusion: In the study and construction phase, it is necessary to pay attention to the indicators and sub-indicators of Green Hospital in order to reduce environmental costs and increase the safety level of staff and patients while reducing the costs of the operation phase. Background: A green hospital is one which sustains people's health by reducing environmental risks. The aim of this study is to develop a model of green hospital standards for Iran based on different criteria and standards in the world. Methods: This research is conducted in two phases: a comparative study and Delphi methods to validate green hospital criteria for Iran. Results: Based on the results of the comprehensive review, there are seven patterns for green hospitals. In the Delphi stage, 120 people participated, and it was conducted in two stages. A green hospital model for Iran with 19 dimensions was validated. Conclusions: In general, the reasons for selecting the approved dimensions can vary depending on factors such as emphasis by different models and the relevance of the aspects to the challenges with which hospitals are routinely dealing. This study comprehends the association of quality services, product superiority, accreditations and green environment of hospitals; with corporate brand image, patient trust and loyalty. Respondents of the research study were from seven different healthcare organizations including private, charitable and naval sectors in four major cities (Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar and Karachi) of Pakistan. Questionnaires were disseminated to 580 participants, and 447 responses were received. The data analysis was processed in SPSS 20 and SmartPLS 3.0. Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was applied to examine the inference for significant and insignificant associations between constructs. The outcomes specify that hospital accreditation positively and significantly impacts the customer loyalty through mediating effects of corporate brand image and customer trust. Similarly quality of services positively and significantly impacts the customer loyalty through mediating effects of corporate brand image. However rest of the relationships in this study were not found significant through mediating effects of customer trust and brand image. The hospitals management in Pakistan is recommended to instrument the accreditation of healthcare standards in its true spirit and should introduce innovations in healthcare technologies in institutions for unveiling more high-quality and superior health products and services to build strong corporate image and patient trust on rock-hard foundations to establish the satisfied and loyal patients.

The increasing number of hospitals has an influence on the damage to the environment if it is not well managed. Environmental damage is a joint responsibility of the government, private sector and the community. In Indonesia at this time there is not even a hospital that is included in the category of environmentally friendly hospitals or green hospitals, but the government prepares in 2020 each hospital is expected to participate in managing the hospital environment properly by always considering aspects of health, economy, ecology and social so that the principle of fulfilling the concept of sustainable development in the health sector will be fulfilled to the maximum, and hospitals can play an active role in minimizing the impact of climate change. This research uses descriptive analysis techniques. From the results of this study stated that of the 10 green hopsital categories of the world hospital HUSADA still needs to be prepared. Beyond resource efficiencies, green buildings aim to create healthy indoor environments for building occupants. In terms of improving occupant well-being, a unique case emerges for healthcare facilities, whose patients may be at a vulnerable state. In the U.S., the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating system has become the most widely recognized certification system for green buildings, including green healthcare facilities and buildings. Hospitals with high total scores in the LEED rating system are green buildings but may not necessarily be the optimal green healthcare environment from a patient's wellbeing perspective. Certified healthcare facilities were analyzed in terms of their credit valuation to assess whether healthcare facilities prioritize specific criteria that influence patient wellbeing and recovery time. Analysis of results indicate hospitals may be valuing the level of certification more than those credits that were deemed relevant for patient wellbeing and rate of recovery, either due to lack of information or due to economic constraints. To consolidate the previous results and to compare the performance of LEED certified green hospitals to the national average, the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey was analyzed for patients' perspectives on the healthcare facility. Results indicate higher satisfaction in green hospitals' overall patient care performance as well as a greater tendency to recommend green hospitals to others compared to the national average. Introduction: Hospitals are among the service centers that cause the greatest environmental pollution. Green Hospital refers to a hospital that views the environment as part of its service quality processes and seeks to avoid harming itself and others by employing effective approaches in each of its dimensions including management, water, energy, buildings, waste, medicine, and shopping. Objective: This study aims to determine the extent of medical services centers readiness for the establishment and implementation of Green Hospital standards in Rasht. Materials and Methods: This is an applied research, and a descriptive cross-sectional method is used. Also, survey method is implemented. The statistical population of this study included all public and private hospitals in Rasht. Among them, 8 hospitals were selected as the sample using convenient sampling method. The data collection tool was the hospital checklists, obtained through observation and interviews. The checklist information consists of two parts, demographic information and information about seven variables in the green hospital, in which respondents should state their hospital readiness in each part of the green hospital checklist. SPSS statistical software was used to analyze the data. Also, descriptive statistics (Frequency distribution and percentage and mean) and analytical statistics (t-test, Kolmogorov-Smirnov, etc.) were used. Results: The results indicated that the 8 under studied hospitals were not in good condition regarding the relevant standards of the green hospital (the rate of meeting standards was 36.8%). Also, these hospitals are not prepared to implement green hospital standards. Only given the drug use (score 65.6), they meet green hospital standards; however, they are not in the right position for the establishment of a green hospital in terms of energy management; waste management; water conservation (score 34); use of chemicals (score 43); green architecture (score 35)and purchasing Hospital Requirements (23.2 points). Conclusion: Green hospital standards are of critical importance in sustainable management and cost saving for hospitals. Apart from the general discussion of green buildings, meeting these principles in hospitals, in addition to its sustainability aspects, has a significant role in improving the patient's therapeutic quality. Implementation ofsuchstandards in the province requires a comprehensive planning of the 7 under-studied variables and clarification of relevant guidelines and rules, training and documentation of actions. Background: Green Hospital's standards are an organized and coordinated effort to introduce environmental protection programs within an organization. The aim of this study was to evaluate standards of green hospital in affiliated hospitals of North Khorasan’s University of Medical Sciences. Methods: This descriptive- analytical study evaluated the status of green hospital standards in 7 hospitals of North Khorasan’s University of Medical Sciences in 2016. Data were collected using 13 checklists investigating 8 variables of green hospital. Data were then analyzed using SPSS 16 software by descriptive statistics (distribution and percentage of frequency and mean score) and analytical statistics (t-test, Pearson correlation, and Kolmogorov-Smirnov test). Results: The rate of observing green hospital standards was 67.41 %. The highest score in this regard was related to hospital B (74.08 %), while the lowest score was related to hospital C (53.27 %). The water consumption management variable was the first priority for improvement by 52.12 %. There was a significant relationship among management, leadership, and the number of employees. A significant difference was also observed for the purchase variable between the teaching and non- teaching hospitals. Conclusion: Implementation of green hospital's standards requires a comprehensive planning on 8 variables under study and transparency of guidelines and relevant legislation, personnel training, and ultimately documentation of the actions taken. In this regard, hospitals are suggested to use the checklists provided by Iran Green Management Association and the recommended methods in their internal assessment.

Climate change poses a critical challenge to global health, influencing social and environmental determinants such as housing, air and water quality, and food security. This article explores the profound impact of climate change on health, projecting an additional 250,000 annual deaths from various climate-related diseases between 2030 and 2050. Healthcare systems significantly contribute to global carbon emissions. The concept of the "Green Hospital" is introduced as a paradigm shift in healthcare, focusing on optimizing resource efficiency and minimizing environmental impact. This concept encompasses renewable energy integration, natural lighting, sustainable materials, green roofs, and smart building management systems. Several challenges remain major, such as medical waste management, water conservation, chemical use, pollution, and plastic usage in healthcare settings. Moreover, obstacles to green hospital initiatives should be resolved, including system redundancy, regulatory compliance, operational demands, financial constraints, and cultural resistance. Introduction: The environmental impact of hospitals and healthcare providers practices is substantial, although often unnoticed and infrequently tracked. A green and healthy hospital is one that promotes public health by continuously monitoring and reducing its environmental impact., Methods: We adopted a descriptive case study design with a multi-dimensional evaluation and monitoring of carbon emission equivalence (CO2e) using two examples from a tertiary care hospital practice in Oman. One example (1) was related to inhalation anaesthetic gases (IAG) consumption and the second example (2) was related to estimation of telemedicine clinics (TMCs) CO2e travel-related savings., Results: The cumulative consumption of three different (1) IAG over three years (2019, 2020, 2021) was generated with estimated CO2e for each year for sevoflurane, isoflurane and desflurane. Desflurane had the lowest consumption with a yearly cumulative consumption of 6000 mL, 1500 mL, and 3000 mL for the years 2019, 2020 and 2021. The (2) TMCs during the first two years of the COVID-19 pandemic travel related CO2e savings were in the range of 12.65-3483.1 tonnes. In the second year of launching this service it doubled to a range of 24-6610.5 tonnes of CO2e savings., Conclusion: A green and healthy hospital approach of tracking and monitoring environmental impact of healthcare providers practices is critical for health planning and management of the environmental policy. The economic problems multiplying due to the deterioration of environmental conditions and the exhaustion of fossil based energy sources in today's world brings into question endeavors' towards designing environmentally compatible hospital buildings that causes less carbon emissions to the nature and that reduces the construction and management costs of the buildings and that considers energy efficiency for the hospital buildings as well covering different functions and requirements. However, in the operating room units where the hospital comfort requirements have been utilized to the utmost level, endeavors' for providing green criteria and energy efficiency have remained limited. The objective of this study is to determine other studies to be undertaken in compliance with green building criteria in the operating room units having complicated design characteristics in relation to the other hospital units. The green design criteria for operating rooms in line with national and international studies were researched within the context of this study and the raise in efficiency was explained using examples. The provision of healthcare creates significant environmental impacts, and their mitigation is being attempted in a variety of ways which vary from nation to nation in line with differing policy priorities and resource availability. The environmental performance of hospitals has been enhanced through, for example, green building, waste and energy management, and product design. However, unpredictable occupant behaviour, new research outcomes and evolving best practice requires healthcare to react and respond in an ever challenging and changing environment, and clearly there is no one set of actions appropriate in all jurisdictions. Many authors have pointed up negative environmental impacts caused by healthcare, but these studies have focused on particular aspects of mitigation in isolation, and are for this reason not optimal. Here it is argued that tackling impact mitigation through a whole system approach is likely to be more effective. To illustrate what this approach might entail in practice, an evaluation of a systematic implementation of impact mitigation in Ireland's largest teaching hospital, Cork University Hospital is presented. This approach brings together voluntary initiatives in particular those emanating from governmental and non-governmental organisations, peer supports and the adaptation of programmes designed originally for environmental education purposes. Specific measures and initiatives are described, and analysis of results and planned future actions provides a basis for evaluation of successes achieved in achieving mitigation objectives. A crucial attribute of this approach is that it retains its flexibility and connectivity through time, thereby ensuring continual responsiveness to evolving regulation and best practice in green healthcare. It is demonstrated that implementation in Cork resulted both in mitigation of existing impacts, but also a commitment to continual improvement. For such a systems approach to be widely adopted, the healthcare sector needs both leadership from regulators and stakeholders, and strong supports. In Cork it was found that environmental education programmes, especially action and reward based programmes, as utilised by the campus's academic affiliates in particular University College Cork, were especially effective as a framework to address sustainability challenges and should be developed further. However, within healthcare implementation of environmental initiatives must prioritise patient safety. This approach has now been adopted for delivery across the health services sector in Ireland.
