This paper tries to empirically calculate the coupling and coordinate degree between digital economy and green economy by utilizing the data for 28 Chinese provinces from 2015 to 2020 via coupling coordination model. Specifically, we measure the development level of digital economy and green economy by utilizing the entropy weight method, which supports that while the digital economy and green economy increases quickly among all sample provinces, there exists problem of digital divide among different regions and the speed of digital economy is higher than that of green economy. Additionally, we calculated the degree of coupling and coordination between digital economy and green economy, which suggests that coordination and coupling between digital economy and green economy experiences sharp increase. Finally, we also investigated the regional heterogeneity for the coupling and coordination between such two factors and offered that while the absolute level of coupling and coordination between digital economy and green economy in western and eastern regions is lower than that in eastern regions, its growth rate is higher in western and eastern regions than that in eastern regions. Attaining sustainable economic growth while mitigating environmental degradation represents dual imperatives within China's sustainability objectives. In this context, digital finance emerges as a strategic tool enabling simultaneous progress toward these two pivotal goals. This study undertakes a rigorous investigation into the causative influence and transmission pathways of digital finance on regional carbon emissions. The analysis encompasses a robust sample size of 1471 districts and counties spanning the period from 2012 to 2017 and leverages a fixed-effects model within a panel data context. Our research unearths several key findings: (1) digital finance plays a substantive role in diminishing regional carbon emissions; (2) technology innovation and energy utilization efficiency serve as partial mediators in the relationship between digital finance and carbon emissions, with the influence of the latter eclipsing that of the former overall; (3) the impact of digital finance on carbon emissions is most pronounced in cities characterized by mature industries and a reliance on renewable resources. In reviewing this research, the author will focus on the development of research on topics used in scientific works with the theme green economy and life expectancy spread across all parts of the world over a period of 33 years starting from 1990-2023 with the Scopus database using the Scopus approach. Bibliometric Analysis. This paper aims to contribute to existing literature by answering questions, namely in the Scopus database, what are the trends in scientific history products and the amount of green economic research; what are the critical intellectual aspects and how do they influence the green economics literature; what are the future directions of green economy research. The results of the bibliometric analysis show that there is a significant increasing trend in the number of publications discussing the relationship between the green economy and life expectancy in the last thirty-three years. Purpose: Identification of key green research areas explored in scientific publications that address social enterprises while also examining sustainability and/or various green research threads. Design/methodology/approach: The study was planned and conducted between July 2024 and November 2024. Two methods focusing on the review of scientific publications were employed in the research process: a systematic literature review and a classic literature review. The analysis included 642 scientific publications retrieved using bibliometric query Q1 from the Scopus database and 602 scientific publications extracted using bibliometric query Q2 from the Web of Science database. The full text of these publications was analysed to identify and extract green research areas. Findings: Thirty-one key green research areas were identified in scientific publications that explore social enterprises while also examining sustainability and/or various green research threads. The findings indicate that the concept of green social enterprises is already explicitly addressed in existing research. Additionally, an important research thread is the topic of green jobs, which is represented by two different terms: 'green jobs' and 'green collar jobs'. Research limitations/implications: The study was constrained by two key factors. The first was the selection of databases (Scopus and Web of Science). The second factor was the design of the original bibliometric queries (Q1 and Q2). It should also be emphasized that these limitations contributed to ensuring the quality of the study and facilitate the possibility of reproducing it in the future for comparative purposes. Originality/value: This study differentiates itself from other bibliometric studies on social enterprises through the design of the bibliometric queries. Additionally, it identified key green research areas by analysing the full content of the selected articles, rather than relying on author or indexed keywords as in traditional reviews. Consequently, the bibliometric maps generated contain a significantly larger number of green research areas. The discussion highlighted, among other aspects, the creation of green jobs and the development of green competencies within green social enterprises. In this context, it was emphasized that future research should explore whether green jobs in green social enterprises can be distinguished from golden-green jobs. This research examines the relationship between a green economy—defined as an economy that promotes sustainable development through low-carbon, resource-efficient, and socially inclusive practices—and food safety across 37 African countries from 2005 to 2020. Drawing on data from the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO), the Country Policy and Institutional Assessment (CPIA), and World Development Indicators, this study employs the generalized method of moments (GMM) approach to address endogeneity issues inherent in economic analyses. The findings indicate that a shift toward a greener economy significantly enhances food safety, with each one-point improvement in green economic indicators associated with a 0.24% increase in food safety levels. This underscores that as African economies reduce carbon footprints and adopt sustainable agricultural practices, they experience fewer food safety challenges, largely due to improved environmental health and reduced biodiversity loss. The study concludes that prioritizing green economic growth is essential for environmental sustainability and the agricultural sector's stability. These insights emphasize the need for policymakers and stakeholders to implement green economy strategies that enhance both ecological resilience and food security, ultimately improving health and livelihood outcomes in African communities. This study stands apart from existing literature by uniquely focusing on the relationship between the green economy and food safety within the African context, which remains underexplored despite the continent's pressing environmental and food security challenges. This article delves into the role of microalgae in advancing a green economy, thereby contributing to the attainment of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This review highlights the versatility of microalgae in producing biofuels, high-value bioactive compounds, and bioremediation processes. This article explores the significance of financial law in promoting sustainable development in Ukraine, particularly with regard to fostering a green economy and managing investment processes. The modern global economy increasingly emphasizes the concept of sustainable development, which integrates economic, social, and environmental dimensions. A pivotal approach to achieving this goal is transitioning to a green economy, which focuses on conserving natural resources, reducing environmental harm, and ensuring the sustainable use of resources. Financial law plays a crucial role in this transition, as it provides the legal framework for regulating investment activities, implementing environmental taxation, and supporting ecological initiatives. To facilitate the green economy and attract investments aimed at sustainable growth, it is essential to develop a robust legal foundation. This article examines specific tools and mechanisms for sustainable development, drawing on both international and national practices. For Ukraine, striving to integrate into global economic systems amid economic transformation, the development of a green economy is of particular importance. However, the successful implementation of a green economy requires an effective legal framework that governs investment flows and upholds environmental standards. Given the unique challenges Ukraine faces in achieving sustainable development, particularly in the context of the ongoing full-scale invasion, the study of financial law's role in this process is both timely and critical for shaping a holistic approach to green economic development. The study focuses on the role of state policy in creating a favorable investment climate for green economy projects, as well as the importance of international cooperation in implementing environmentally oriented initiatives. It examines the impact of financial and legal mechanisms on ensuring transparency and efficiency in resource utilization. This article investigates important conceptual approaches to the transition to a “green economy” in the context of sustainable development of Kazakhstan. Theoretical foundations of the problems of transition to a low-carbon economy are carried out, important directions and stages in the transition to a “green economy” are shown, as well as considered foreign experience of mechanisms for the implementation of largescale transformations on the transition to a “green economy” on the example of some countries. In order to ensure the reliability of the obtained results, the authors have addressed various sources on the available issues by the method of express analysis and interviews. The COVID-19 pandemic has been an important catalyst for the adoption of sustainable environmental practices. Restrictive measures such as quarantines and curtailment of international travel have reduced greenhouse gas emissions and improved air quality in cities. This has provided an opportunity to rethink consumption and resource use patterns and accelerate the transition to greener and more sustainable approaches across sectors including transport, energy and manufacturing.
