FEATURES RUSSIA'S FULL-SCALE INVASION OF UKRAINE HAS SUNK US-RUSSIA relations to the lowest levels since the darkest days of the Cold War. Rather, the United States could have focused on building more constructive relations with Russia - which was also Putin's initial goal - and it could have given Russia time to adjust to its new geopolitical circumstances.
