Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the effective role of human resource management (HRM) policies within marketing organizations and their impact on business and marketing strategy implementation. Theoretical framework: The study will be based on the resource-based view of the firm, which posits that a firms resources and capabilities can be a source of sustainable competitive advantage. Design/methodology/approach: The study will use a quantitative research design, collecting data through surveys administered to employees and managers within marketing organizations. Data will be analyzed using statistical techniques to identify relationships between HRM policies and business and marketing strategy implementation. Findings: The findings of the study will provide insights into the impact of HRM policies on business and marketing strategy implementation and identify specific HRM practices that are associated with better performance outcomes. The major findings of this study are that the HRM policies improve the growth of a business and deliver quality work to the customers by understanding the external and internal affairs. Research, practical and social implications: The results of the study will have implications for practitioners, as they will provide guidance on how to design and implement effective HRM policies within marketing organizations. Originality/value: This study will be among those to examine the role of HRM policies in marketing organizations, providing new insights into how these policies can be leveraged to improve organizational performance.

Theoretical framework: The study is based on the diversity-performance relationship theory, which suggests that a diverse workforce can lead to improved organizational performance. Design/methodology/approach: The study employs a quantitative research design and utilizes survey data collected from employees and managers in multiple organizations. The data is analyzed using statistical methods to examine the relationship between employee diversity and organizational performance. Findings: The findings indicate that organizations with a diverse workforce tend to have higher levels of organizational performance, as measured by factors such as productivity, innovation, and employee satisfaction. Research, practical and social implications: The study has important implications for organizations, as it suggests that actively promoting diversity can lead to improved performance. Additionally, the findings have implications for society, as they suggest that promoting diversity in the workforce can lead to improved outcomes for organizations and their stakeholders. Originality/value: This study adds to the existing literature by providing new evidence on the relationship between employee diversity and organizational performance, using a large and diverse sample of organizations.

It may be difficult for the small and medium enterprises to deal with a large number of labour legislation but it is not adequately known as to what extent that affects large organisations, including MNCs. The multiplicity of labour legislation and overlapping of different legal provisions may create bottlenecks for both, the smooth industrial operations and harmonious relationship between the employers and employees. Also, it is predictable that merging of multiple labour laws into four codes may improve operational efficiency and relations in the industries across sectors. However, how far such codification will correlate with issues like jobless growth, employment generation, reviving manufacturing, contract labour conundrum, the creation of more salaried jobs etc.? There is very little empirical evidence or acceptable rationale to answer this question. Every major problem or issue in society and industry may not be resolved only through political and judiciary interventions. It requires insights through multidisciplinary studies, not primarily through analytics but with the help of grounded theory, ethnography, phenomenological study etc. If our efforts, especially initiatives for the codification of laws, fail to make the entire process inclusive, we may later experience disintegrative and adverse outcomes. This article aims to initiate a thought process to understand if qualitative research can substantially contribute to the process.

The present article aims to critically observe and interpret the methodological deficiencies as found in randomly selected 14 doctoral theses submitted to two different universities in India. Despite their serious deviation from the expected methodological standards, all those theses were accepted and approved by the universities and scholars concerned conferred with PhD degrees. Undoubtedly, those theses kept in the reference sections at the respective university libraries would potentially misguide and mislead the future researchers. Some of the common technical deficiencies, as have been noticed, include (1) absence of careful thoughts in framing research titles, (ii) biased method of data collection, (ii) absence of logical explanation in favour of sample size and sample selection process, (iii) designing and execution of instrument for data collection, (iv) theory formulation in terms of framing of objectives, hypotheses and operational definitions etc. The article attempts to present the critical observations on case-to-case basis so that their conceptual, instrumental and procedural deficiencies and deviations are easily understood by the academicians, researchers and students. The content of this article is divided in to three broad sections. The first section deals with an introduction to quantitative and qualitative research methods and their advantages and limitations. The next section deals with the review of the selected theses followed by conclusion and suggested remedial measures. The objective of this article is purely academic and its scope is limited to enhancement of quality of future research studies in the domains and related fields.
