Abstract Background This systematic review aims to comprehensively assess the diagnostic accuracy of cognitive screening tools validated for older adults in Iran, providing evidence-based recommendations for clinicians and researchers. Methods A comprehensive search in March 2023 across Web of Science, PubMed, Scopus, ScienceDirect, SID, IranMedex, and IranDoc, enhanced by hand-searching references and Google Scholar, identified cross-sectional studies on cognitive screening in Iranian seniors. We assessed diagnostic accuracy, cognitive domains, and test strengths and weaknesses. A bivariate random-effects meta-analysis provided summary estimates and 95% confidence intervals, illustrated in forest plots. Results Our review, derived from an initial screening of 38 articles, focused on 17 studies involving 14 cognitive screening tools and participant counts from 60 to 350, mostly from specialized clinics. The MMSE was the only tool examined in at least three studies, prompting a meta-analysis revealing its sensitivity at 0.89 and specificity at 0.77 for dementia detection, albeit amidst significant heterogeneity (I^2 > 80%). ACE-III demonstrated the highest diagnostic accuracy for MCI and dementia, while MoCA’s performance was deemed adequate for MCI and excellent for dementia. High bias risk in studies limits interpretation. Conclusion This review identifies key cognitive tools for dementia and MCI in Iranian older adults, tailored to educational levels for use in primary and specialized care. It emphasizes the need for further validation to enhance diagnostic precision across diverse settings, within a concise framework prioritizing brevity and accuracy for clinical applicability.

Objective: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is an evidence-based psychological intervention that has gained increasing attention in recent years. While extensively studied for its effectiveness in adult populations, there has been growing interest in exploring the application of ACT in children and adolescents psychotherapy. This umbrella review aims to provide an overview of the current literature on the use and efficacy of ACT in children and adolescents, as well as to highlight potential considerations and future directions for research. Method: A comprehensive search was done in scientific databases, including Scopus, PubMed, and Web of Sciences, using keywords related to ACT, children, adolescents, and psychotherapy. Relevant articles were included, with a focus on systematic reviews and meta-analysis. Results: Our findings indicate consistent effectiveness for ACT and related interventions across various delivery formats, including in-person, group, and internet-based approaches, in reducing symptoms of internalizing and externalizing problems, as well as improving overall quality of life among children and adolescents. However, two articles comparing ACT with traditional cognitive behavioral therapy did not demonstrate superiority. Additionally, when comparing internet-based and in-person delivery modes, the included studies did not show significant differences between the two types. Conclusion: ACT shows promise as an effective therapeutic approach in children and adolescents psychotherapy. However, more research is warranted to establish its specific techniques and adaptations for different age groups and presenting problems. Additionally, future research should explore the feasibility and effectiveness of delivering ACT in varied settings.

As a major sink for anthropogenic carbon, the oceans slow the increase in carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and regulate climate change. Future changes in the ocean carbon sink, and its uncertainty at a global and regional scale, are key to understanding the future evolution of the climate. Here we report on the changes and uncertainties in the historical and future ocean carbon sink using output from the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6 (CMIP6) multi-model ensemble and compare to an observation-based product. We show that future changes in the ocean carbon sink are concentrated in highly active regions – 70 % of the total sink occurs in less than 40 % of the global ocean. High pattern correlations between the historical uptake and projected future changes in the carbon sink indicate that future uptake will largely continue to occur in historically important regions. We conduct a detailed breakdown of the sources of uncertainty in the future carbon sink by region. Consistent with CMIP5 models, scenario uncertainty dominates at the global scale, followed by model uncertainty and then internal variability. We demonstrate how the importance of internal variability increases moving to smaller spatial scales and go on to show how the breakdown between scenario, model, and internal variability changes between different ocean regions, governed by different processes. Using the CanESM5 large ensemble we show that internal variability changes with time based on the scenario, breaking the widely employed assumption of stationarity. As with the mean sink, we show that uncertainty in the future ocean carbon sink is also concentrated in the known regions of historical uptake. Patterns in the signal-to-noise ratio have implications for observational detectability and time of emergence, which we show to vary both in space and with scenario. We show that the largest variations in emergence time across scenarios occur in regions where the ocean sink is less sensitive to forcing – outside of the highly active regions. In agreement with CMIP5 studies, our results suggest that for a better chance of early detection of changes in the ocean carbon sink and to efficiently reduce uncertainty in future carbon uptake, highly active regions, including the northwestern Atlantic and the Southern Ocean, should receive additional focus for modeling and observational efforts.

Abstracthe aim of this research is to identify the indigenous knowledge of camel husbandry in the territory of Kalkuyee nomads in Masileh plain of Qom province, who have a long history of camel husbandry in this region. The way of obtaining the data is in the field with the continuous presence of the tribes of the Kalkuyee tribe in the form of interview (question and answer), observation, filming and photography during three years. Also, in addition to individual interviews with native camel herders and nomadic experts, group interviews were also used in order to collect data and gain knowledge about the local knowledge of camel herders. The information has been classified based on convergence and divergence. The findings include indigenous knowledge related to naming, marking, the position of camels, characteristics of good camels, and reproduction among nomads of Kalkuyee tribe. The results of the research in the territory of Kalkuyee nomads showed that they have local knowledge and extensive work experience in camel husbandry. From the local knowledge of camel herders, we come to the conclusion that camel herding has long been a traditional and cultural activity with specific regional characteristics, and with camel herding and traditional life,

Improving our understanding of how the ocean absorbs carbon dioxide is critical to climate change mitigation efforts. We, a group of early career ocean professionals working in Canada, summarize current research and identify steps forward to improve our understanding of the marine carbon sink in Canadian national and offshore waters. We have compiled an extensive collection of reported surface ocean air–sea carbon dioxide exchange values within each of Canada's three adjacent ocean basins. We review the current understanding of air–sea carbon fluxes and identify major challenges limiting our understanding in the Pacific, the Arctic, and the Atlantic Ocean. We focus on ways of reducing uncertainty to inform Canada's carbon stocktake, establish baselines for marine carbon dioxide removal projects, and support efforts to mitigate and adapt to ocean acidification. Future directions recommended by this group include investing in maturing and building capacity in the use of marine carbon sensors, improving ocean biogeochemical models fit-for-purpose in regional and ocean carbon dioxide removal applications, creating transparent and robust monitoring, verification, and reporting protocols for marine carbon dioxide removal, tailoring community-specific approaches to co-generate knowledge with First Nations, and advancing training opportunities for early career ocean professionals in marine carbon science and technology.

All projects require a structure to meet project requirements and achieve established goals. This framework is called project management. Therefore, project management plays an important role in national development and economic growth. Project management includes various knowledge areas such as project integration management, project scope management, project schedule management, etc. The article focuses on the resource-constrained project scheduling known as problem so- called the resource-constrained project scheduling problem (RCPSP). The RCPSP is a part of schedule management. The standard RCPSP has two important constraints, resource constraints and precedence relationships of activities during project scheduling. The objective of the problem is to optimize and minimize the project duration, subject to the above constraints. In this paper, we develop a convolutional neural network approach to solve the standard single mode RCPSP. The advantage of this algorithm over conventional methods such as metaheuristics is that it does not need to generate many solutions or populations. In this paper, the serial schedule generation scheme (SSGS) is used to schedule the project activities using an evolved convolutional neural network (CNN) as a tool to select an appropriate priority rule to filter out a candidate activity. The evolved CNN learns according to the eight project parameters, namely network complexity, resource factor, resource strength, average work per activity, etc. The above parameters are the inputs of the network and are recalculated at each step of the project planning. Moreover, the developed network has priority rules which are the outputs of the developed neural network. Therefore, after the learning process, the network can automatically select an appropriate priority rule to filter an activity from the eligible activities. In this way, the algorithm is able to schedule all project activities according to the given project constraints. Finally, the performance of the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) approach is investigated using standard benchmark problems from PSPLIB in comparison to the MLFNN approach and standard metaheuristics.

Abstract Background Climate change and the lack of conventional feed ingredients have made edible insects a highly nutritious alternative to feed production. The use of insects as food may help solve socio‐economic and environmental problems around the world and be in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Objective In this study, the growth performance and intestinal morphology of broiler chickens were evaluated under the influence of adding different levels of Tenebrio molitor larvae meal (TM meal) to their diets. Methods One hundred and eighty one‐day‐old broiler chickens were divided into three treatments and five replications (12 chickens/pen). The experimental diets included a control diet and treatments containing 2.5% and 5% TM meal, which were fed to birds in the starter (0–10 days) and grower (11–25 days) stages, and during the final period (26–42 days), all birds were fed a regular finisher diet. Results The results showed that the diet containing TM meal had no remarkable effect on the mortality rate and feed intake of broilers (p > 0.05). In the starter period, the addition of 2.5% TM meal to broilers’ diet increased body weight gain than the control group (p ≤ 0.05). Also, the use of 2.5% TM meal in the starter period showed a significant effect on reducing the feed conversion ratio, compared to the birds fed by the control diet (p ≤ 0.05). Besides, the height of the villus, the depth of the crypt and their ratio were not altered among the different treatments (p > 0.05). Conclusions Overall, it can be concluded that TM meal could improve growth performance in the starter period and had no negative effects on broilers' performance and intestinal morphology in all the periods of the experiment.

BackgroundThe most recent emerging infectious disease, coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), is pandemic now. Iran is a country with community transmission of the disease. Telehealth tools have been proved to be useful in controlling public health disasters. We developed an online self-screening platform to offer a population-wide strategy to control the massive influx to medical centers. MethodsWe developed a platform operating based on given history by participants, including sex, age, weight, height, location, primary symptoms and signs, and high risk past medical histories. Based on a decision-making algorithm, participants were categorized into four levels of suspected cases, requiring diagnostic tests, supportive care, not suspected cases. We made comparisons with Iran STEPs (STEPwise approach to Surveillance) 2016 study and data from the Statistical Centre of Iran to assess population representativeness of data. Also, we made a comparison with officially confirmed cases to investigate the effectiveness of the platform. A multilevel mixed-effects Poisson regression was used to check the association of visiting platform and deaths caused by COVID-19. ResultsAbout 310 000 individuals participated in the online self-screening platform in 33 days. The majority of participants were in younger age groups, and males involved more. A significant number of participants were screened not to be suspected or needing supportive care, and only 10.4% of males and 12.0% of females had suspected results of COVID-19. The penetration of the platform was assessed to be acceptable. A correlation coefficient of 0.51 was calculated between suspected results and confirmed cases of the disease, expressing the platform’s effectiveness. ConclusionImplementation of a proper online self-screening tool can mitigate population panic during wide-spread epidemics and relieve massive influx to medical centers. Also, an evidence-based education platform can help fighting infodemic. Noticeable utilization and verified effectiveness of such platform validate the potency of telehealth tools in controlling epidemics and pandemics.

Objectives: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a common endocrine disorder among women. Hyperinsulinemia and insulin resistance are normally observed in PCOS patients and metformin is used to treat this disease. The evidence indicates that the opioid system plays a role in the pathogenesis of the PCOS. Based on the above-mentioned explanation, the present study evaluated the role of opioid antagonist (naltrexone) in PCOS-induced infertility compared to metformin. Materials and Methods: Totally, 120 patients afflicted with PCOS were assigned to three groups based on Rotterdam diagnostic criteria, with a body mass index (BMI) of 25-30 kg/m2 . The first group received naltrexone (50 mg/d) for 8 weeks. In addition, the second group were injected with metformin 1000 and then 1500 mg/d for the first and seventh weeks, respectively. Finally, the third group entered the intrauterine insemination (IUI) without prior therapeutic treatment. Then, the groups were compared in terms of the amount of estradiol produced per day of human chorionic gonadotropin injection and the total amount of gonadotropin needed, the number and size of the adult follicles, the number of days of taking the drug, and incidence of pregnancy-induced abo Results: Based on the results, the mean of infertility duration was not significant among the three groups (P=0.782). Further, the mean fasting insulin level between the metformin and control groups represented a significant difference (P=0.045). The average number of days to trigger patients in the 3 groups was not significant (P=0.346). Although the average number of follicles between metformin and naltrexone groups was not significant, it was higher in the naltrexone group. Finally, the average BMI of the naltrexone group after the treatment was lower compared to before treatment (P≤ 0.001). Conclusions: In general, the number of receiving days and the dose of the drug in the naltrexone group was lower compared to the metformin group. Furthermore, the number of mature follicles in both ovaries and the serum estradiol level in the naltrexone group was higher compared to the metformin group.

This paper is concerned with an overview of the Resource-Constrained Project Scheduling Problem (RCPSP) and the conventional meta-heuristic solution techniques that have attracted the attention of many researchers in the field. Therefore, researchers have developed algorithms and methods to solve the problem. This paper addresses the single-mode RCPSP where the objective is to optimize and minimize the project duration while the quantities of resources are constrained during the project execution. In this problem, resource constraints and precedence relationships between activities are known to be the most important constraints for project scheduling. In this context, the standard RCPSP is presented. Then, the classifications of the collected papers according to the year of publication and the different meta-heuristic approaches applied are presented. Five weighted articles and their meta-heuristic techniques developed for RCPSP are described in detail and their results are summarized in the corresponding tables. In addition, researchers have developed various conventional meta-heuristic algorithms such as genetic algorithms, particle swarm optimization, ant colony optimization, bee colony optimization, simulated annealing, evolutionary algorithms, and so on. It is stated that genetic algorithms are more popular among researchers than other meta-heuristics. For this reason, the various conventional meta-heuristics and their corresponding articles are also presented to give an overview of the conventional meta-heuristic optimizing techniques. Finally, the challenges of the conventional meta-heuristics are explored, which may be helpful for future studies to apply new suitable techniques to solve the Resource-Constrained Project Scheduling Problem (RCPSP).

Project management has a fundamental role in national development, industrial development, and economic growth. Schedule management is also one of the knowledge areas of project management, which includes the processes employed to manage the timely completion of the project. This paper deals with the Resource-Constrained Project Scheduling Problem (RCPSP), which is a part of schedule management. The objective of the problem is to optimize and minimize the project duration while constraining the resource quantities during project scheduling. There are two important constraints in this problem, namely resource constraints and precedence relationships of activities during project scheduling. Many methods such as exact, heuristic, and meta-heuristic have been developed by researchers to solve the problem, but there is a lack of investigation of the problem using methods such as neural networks and machine learning. In this article, we develop a multi-layer feed-forward neural network (MLFNN) to solve the standard single- mode RCPSP. The advantage of this method over evolutionary methods or metaheuristics is that it is not necessary to generate numerous solutions or populations. The developed MLFNN learns based on eight project parameters, namely network complexity, resource factor, resource strength, average work per activity, percentage of remaining work, etc., which are calculated at each step of project scheduling, and identified priority rules, which are the outputs of the developed neural network. Therefore, after the learning process, the network can automatically select an appropriate priority rule to filter out an unscheduled activity from the list of eligible activities and schedule all activities of the project according to the given project constraints. Finally, we investigate the performance of the presented approach using the standard benchmark problems from PSPLIB.

World is divided into six continent and within each, there are many separate regions called "countries". Some are called "first world", trying to dominate the others whom are known as "third world" and rarely, people enquire about the "second world" in between (We are aware of this political/ideological division as aftermath of the World War II and the notion of "three worlds" suggested by Mao Zedong)! The claim is that this division has nothing to do with "ranking" the countries, but it is culturally weird to hear "ordinal numbers" and not giving them "values" of either "priority" or "inferiority"! And in the midst of everything, the world faced a horrible phenomenon called Covid-19 that soon became a pandemic! Within a short period of time, the whole world, despite of any ranking, felt how fragile and hopeless is in the battle with this monster! And yet, it is soon to expect that decision makers who govern the world, must be aware that without well- being of everyone, there is no other way to defeat the virus. This is an irony! Isn't it? No matter how wealthy or poor, dominant or dominated, so- called developed or developing the countries are, in our view, they only have one solution to this devastating problem that is to know that the world is connected and no part of it is in joy while others are in pain! Hopefully, we are entering a new era of deeper understanding of what humanity is! A big lesson to be taught by the opportunity that Covid-19 created for human beings! Thus far, Corona and Covid-19 pandemic is not just a treat but a wake- up call for humanity to believe that "If you've no sympathy for human pain, the name of human you cannot retain!"

Background: One of the important molecular pathways in breast cancer is the PTEN-PI3K-AKT pathway. Any change in the activity of the PTEN gene can alter the PI3K-AKT pathway. Moreover, there are subsets of genes and pathways their expression changes by post-transcriptional regulations. For instance, gene regulation alters by non-coding RNAs such as micro-RNAs as post-transcriptional regulators that prevent the expression of the target transcript. Therefore, it is essential to assess the related alterations in micro-RNA expression patterns to find out the possible causes of conversions in related transcripts and pathways such as the PTEN-PI3K-AKT pathway in breast cancer. Methods: To determine the expression level of miR-181a and miR-30d in 30 breast tumor samples and 30 adjacent normal samples, the RNA extraction, and cDNA synthesis was performed by RiboEx (GeneAll, Korea). Finally, the Real-Time PCR method was used for quantitative analysis of the expression levels of these miRNAs. all the experimental part of the project in done at Islamic Azad University in 2017. Results: After analyzing comparisons in the expression level of miR-181a and miR-30d in tumor and normal tissues, there was a significant increase in the expression level of miR-181a in tumor samples compared with normal samples. Heat stress presents a substantial challenge for the poultry industry, negatively impacting broilers' health, growth, and productivity. Optimizing dietary crude protein (CP) levels is a viable approach to reduce the heat generated during birds' amino acid oxidation process. Additionally, supplementing diets with Selenium (Se), a potent antioxidant, can help counteract the detrimental effects of heat stress on broiler growth performance. To explore the effects of varying CP and Se levels on growth performance, carcass characteristics, blood parameters, immune function, and blood leukocyte profiles in broiler chickens under heat stress, a 42- day experiment was conducted. It involved 528 male broiler chicks (Ross 308), divided into six groups with 11 chicks each, fed diets with 100%, 94%, or 88% of the recommended CP levels, and two Se levels (0 and 0.04 mg/kg). The findings indicated that reducing dietary CP levels led to an improvement in daily weight gain (DWG) without affecting feed intake (FI), feed conversion ratio (FCR), or carcass traits. There was a significant interaction between CP and Se levels regarding glucose, albumin, uric acid, cholesterol, triglyceride levels, antibody titers against Newcastle disease virus (NDV), and monocyte counts. Se supplementation increased NDV antibody titers at 14 days, whereas reducing CP lowered these titers at 21 days. The study concluded that lowering dietary CP did not adversely affect growth performance, carcass quality, or blood parameters; it even enhanced DWG compared to a normal protein diet and influenced some blood parameters. Odontogenic myxoma is a benign mesenchymal tumor that appears to be associated with odontogenic ectomesenchyme of the growing teeth. This tumor, which often occurs in the second and third decades of life, is extremely rare and often asymptomatic in children. However, no theoretical consensus exists in the literature over the diagnosis and treatment of this disease. In this study, we investigated the diagnostic and therapeutic methods of a rare case of odontogenic myxoma in a 13-year-old child. Keywords: Odontogenic myxoma; Maxilla; Children.
