19. Experiencia significativa en el área de iniciación musical

Abstract

El presente trabajo busca describir, las experiencias significativas de iniciación musical en la Escuela de Música de Belén de umbría, en la banda sinfónica infantil y juvenil durante el periodo 2018, mediante el desarrollo de actividades musicales planificadas. Dando respuesta a la necesidad de formación musical inicial en el municipio de Belén de Umbría, se implementaron estrategias para la construcción de una malla curricular, facilitando la aplicación de metodologías en la práctica musical de los niños y niñas. Para lograr este trabajo se tomaron elementos de métodos musicales activos como los de Orff y Willems, como también diferentes técnicas sobre la iniciación instrumental, iniciación en banda sinfónica y utilización en gran parte material pedagógico realizado por autores colombianos. En este trabajo se aplicó un enfoque metodológico, que se desarrolló desde la aplicación cualitativa, utilizando modelos pedagógicos y estrategias exitosas en otras regiones del país como las “Escuelas de Música”, adaptadas al contexto. Por otra parte, se promovió el desarrollo de las prácticas musicales, logrando la integración y participación en los diferentes escenarios, estructurando proyectos de vida en los niños y niñas de la comunidad de Belén de Umbría.

O objetivo do presente estudo foi avaliar a incidência, os fatores desencadeantes e as causas de parada cardíaca e de óbito em pacientes pediátricos durante a anestesia em hospital universitário de atendimento terciário no período de 2005 a 2010. Por meio de um Banco de Dados, o estudo prospectivo identificou a incidência de parada cardíaca e de óbito em 10.649 anestesias pediátricas. As incidências foram calculadas em relação aos atributos: faixa etária, sexo, estado físico segundo a ASA, tipo de atendimento, especialidade cirúrgica, técnica anestésica empregada e fatores desencadeantes (doença/condição do paciente, cirurgia e anestesia como fator principal ou fator contributivo). Foram identificadas 22 paradas cardíacas na sala de operações em crianças sendo que 11 evoluíram ao óbito. Maiores incidências de parada cardíaca ocorreram em pacientes neonatais e lactentes com estado físico ASA IV e V, em cirurgia de emergência durante anestesia geral ou em cuidados de monitorização e suporte e durante cirurgias cardíaca e vascular. A doença/condição do paciente foi o principal fator de parada cardíaca e de óbito. O índice de letalidade foi maior em crianças de 31 dias a um ano de idade, com estado físico ASA V, em cirurgia de emergência e em pacientes ASA V sob cuidados de monitorização e suporte e relacionado ao fator doença/condição do paciente. Ocorreram três paradas cardíacas por fator anestésico contributivo (2,81:10.000) todas em razão de causas respiratórias. Não houve óbito por fator anestésico. Em hospital de ensino de atendimento terciário, a incidência de parada cardíaca (20,65:10.000 anestesias) e de óbito (10,32:10.000 anestesias) em pacientes pediátricos durante a anestesia foi elevada. This study aimed to evaluate the incidence, causes, and outcomes of cardiac arrest and death in a pediatric surgical population during anesthesia in a tertiary care university hospital from 2005 to 2010. Cardiac arrest and death incidences during anesthesia in 10,649 anesthetics performed in children were identified from an anesthesia database. Cardiac arrest and death rates were calculated in relation to age, gender, ASA physical status classification, anesthesia provider information, surgical speciality, type of procedure and triggering factors (totally anesthesia-related; partially anesthesia-related; totally surgery-related; or totally child disease/condition-related). There were 22 cardiac arrests and 11 deaths in children during anesthesia. Major cardiac arrest and death incidences were observed in children under one year age; emergency surgery; ASA physical status IV or V; monitoring care and support in ASA V patients; and in cardiac and vascular procedures. Child disease/condition was the major cause of cardiac arrest or death. Lethality calculated rates were higher in 31 days - 1 year age children; emergency surgery; ASA V physical status; monitoring care and support in ASA V patients; and child disease/condition related. 25. Incorporating Realistic Acoustic Propagation Models in Simulation of Underwater Acoustic Networks: A Statistical Approach

Abstract

The development of protocols to advance the state of the art in Underwater Acoustic Networks (UANs) relies on the use of computer simulations to analyze protocol performance. It is typical for designers to abstract away much of the detail of the physical environment in order to simplify the development of the simulation and ensure the simulation runtime performance is reasonable. The validity of the simulation results becomes questionable. There are, though, very high fidelity models developed by acoustic engineers and physicists for predicting acoustic propagation characteristics. In addition to these models, empirical data collections have been generated for many geographic regions of interest to UAN planners. However, incorporating these engineering and physics models or data collections into a network simulation is problematic, as the models are computationally complex and the data sets are not directly usable for acoustic signal propagation characterization. This paper presents a statistical method for developing a computationally efficient and simulation friendly approximation of a physics model of path loss. This method may also be used to adapt empirical data sets for use in network simulation in the same manner. The method was applied to the output of the Monterey-Miami Parabolic Equation model to assess its impact on the runtime performance of an OPNET-based simulation. Results of that simulation are compared to results from a previous OPNET simulation that simply used distance to determine reception. The simulation results confirm the incorporation of the MMPE approximation does not noticeably impact the runtime performance of the simulation. Abstract

The predominant mechanism used to control access to the underwater acoustic channel is a contention-based collision-avoidance scheme to reserve the shared media, on-demand, before sending data to avoid retransmission costs incurred with collisions. This paper reports analysis of such a mechanism for a simple linear, or backbone, type topology as compared to the use of an a priori allocation of capacity to each host, thereby eliminating the need for such access coordination. The former incurs RTS/CTS propagation overhead while the latter incurs a transmission penalty due to the reduced transmission rate of each allocated channel. Therefore, the selection of an appropriate access mechanism, given consideration of the message size and the propagation distance, may have a significant impact on the overall latency of a message. In particular, given the topology modeled for the study, this paper suggests that relatively small messages or long propagation distances benefit from an a priori channel allocation, while large messages or short distances are more effectively served by an access coordination method, such as RTS-CTS exchanges. Further, as the number of frames in a message or the number of hops over which the message is relayed increases the relative latency performance of the a priori allocation improves over that of the coordinated access. The results establish a prior channel allocation as an appealing media access scheme in delay constrained networks and should provide an impetus for further research so as to maximize the performance potential of such schemes., Presented in Processing Annual Underwater Networking (Unet) Planning Workshop, Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, March 2005. Abstract

The Southern Ocean is increasingly recognized as a key player in the general ocean thermohaline circulation and the global climate system during glacial–interglacial transitions. In particular, the advection of Southern Ocean intermediate waters (SOIW), like Antarctic Intermediate Water and Sub-Antarctic Mode Water, to the Eastern Equatorial Pacific (EEP), through a so-called “oceanic tunnelling” mechanism, is an important means for rapid transfer of climatic signals (such as heat, fresh water, salt, and chemical species) from high-to-low latitudes. However, information on how intermediate water advection rates changed in the past, and particularly during deglaciations, is fragmentary. We present new results for Nd isotopes (εNd) in cleaned foraminifera shells (Neogloboquadrina dutertrei) for the last 30 kyr at ODP Site 1240 in the EEP. N. dutertrei preferentially dwells in the lower thermocline, at the core of the Equatorial Undercurrent (EUC), and the εNd variability over time provides a record of the changes in the εNd of the EUC. Through mixing models we show that the EUC record is primarily controlled by changes in the volume transport of intermediate waters and not by Southern Ocean εNd changes. Southern Ocean signals in the EUC are stronger during colder intervals (Younger Dryas, last glacial maximum and Heinrich stadials 1 and 2), in agreement with tropical Atlantic intermediate water records. In addition, covariations between N. dutertrei δ13C, molecular biomarkers, and diatom productivity at Site 1240 confirm the intermediate water route as an important mechanism for the transfer of climate signals from high-to-low latitudes. Changes in the SOIW chemistry during the deglaciation are likely linked to the upwelling of ‘old’ deep waters in the Southern Ocean and subsequent export as intermediate waters, which are coeval with the atmospheric CO2 rise. Moreover, a comparison of multiple proxy records for the last 30 kyr indicates a latitudinal shift and/or a change in the convection depth of intermediate waters in the Southern Ocean prior to the onset of the deglaciation.

Abstract

Este trabajo de grado recoge la experiencia de participación activa en el ámbito de iniciación musical contiene anexos en .pdf de : plan de estudios, listado de estudiantes que participaron, formatos de inscripción, reconocimientos. El presente trabajo busca describir, las experiencias significativas de iniciación musical en la Escuela de Música de Belén de umbría, en la banda sinfónica infantil y juvenil durante el periodo 2018, mediante el desarrollo de actividades musicales planificadas. Dando respuesta a la necesidad de formación musical inicial en el municipio de Belén de Umbría, se implementaron estrategias para la construcción de una malla curricular, facilitando la aplicación de metodologías en la práctica musical de los niños y niñas. Para lograr este trabajo se tomaron elementos de métodos musicales activos como los de Orff y Willems, como también diferentes técnicas sobre la iniciación instrumental, iniciación en banda sinfónica y utilización en gran parte material pedagógico realizado por autores colombianos. En este trabajo se aplicó un enfoque metodológico, que se desarrolló desde la aplicación cualitativa, utilizando modelos pedagógicos y estrategias exitosas en otras regiones del país como las “Escuelas de Música”, adaptadas al contexto. Por otra parte, se promovió el desarrollo de las prácticas musicales, logrando la integración y participación en los diferentes escenarios, estructurando proyectos de vida en los niños y niñas de la comunidad de Belén de Umbría.
