Introduction: Fitness centers as places to carry out activities aimed at strengthening the body play an essential role in society by providing alternatives and encouraging the population to work out as a habit of healthy living, and to that extent, analyze characteristics such as its infrastructure, services, trends and human talent become relevant. Objective: Describe the characteristics of the fitness centers of the city of Bucaramanga in general aspects, services and human talent. Materials and Methods: The gyms of the municipality were identified through their search on the Chamber of Commerce platform of Bucaramanga and Google Maps. The final sample is made up of 20 gyms who, represented by their administrators, answered a structured survey on the topic of study. Results and discussion: The range of subscribers of the centers goes from 100 to 299 in 50 % of the cases. Regarding the offer of activities, functional training is the most representative as it is offered in all the analyzed sites. Likewise, 60 % of the sample of trainers are technologist, this being the most frequent level of studies. Conclusions: The analyzed fitness centers are characterized by offering mainly activities of a cardiovascular nature, having a level of subscribers corresponding to medium-low capacity sites and also having coaches with higher education in the sports area, although there is still great margin for improvement in its professionalization., Introducción: los centros de acondicionamiento físico, como lugares para el desarrollo de actividades orientadas al fortalecimiento corporal, desempeñan una función imprescindible en la sociedad, al proveer alternativas e incentivar a la población en la realización de ejercicio, como hábito de vida saludable y, en esa medida, analizar características, como oferta, servicios y talento humano, se torna relevante. Objetivo general: describir las características de los centros de acondicionamiento físico (CAF) de Bucaramanga, en los aspectos generales, de servicios y talento humano. Materiales y métodos: se identificaron los gimnasios del municipio, a través de su búsqueda en plataforma de Cámara y Comercio de Bucaramanga y Google Maps. La muestra final se compone de 20 gimnasios que, a través de sus administradores o representantes, respondieron una encuesta estructurada sobre el tópico de estudio. Resultados y discusión: el rango de suscriptores de los centros va de los 100 hasta los 299, en el 50 % de los casos. Respecto a la oferta de actividades, el entrenamiento funcional es lo más representativo al ofrecerse en todos los sitios analizados. Asimismo, el 60 % de la muestra cuenta con entrenadores tecnólogos, siendo este el nivel de estudios más frecuente. Conclusiones: los CAF analizados se caracterizan por ofrecer, principalmente, actividades de naturaleza cardiovascular, tener un nivel de suscriptores correspondiente a sitios de mediana-baja capacidad y también de disponer, en gran parte, de entrenadores con educación superior en el área deportiva, aunque todavía con gran margen de mejora en su profesionalización.

The sectorial trajectory of banking in the Province of Malleco (SouthernChile) between 1887 and 1913 is studied, seeking to contributeto regional economic and financial history studies. It is argued that there was a diversification at the beginning of the 20th century, going from focusing on cereal production in the 19th century to expanding its operations in commerce and industry in the 20th, which meant development of the specialized financial sector. An exhaustive review of notarial archives, population and production censuses, ministerial reports, press,and literature was used., Se estudia la trayectoria sectorial de la banca en la Provincia de Malleco (sur de Chile) entre 1887 y 1913, buscando hacer una contribución a los estudios de historia económica y financiera regional.Se sostiene que hubo una diversificación a inicios del siglo XX, pasando de enfocarse en la producción de cereales en el siglo XIX, a expandir sus operaciones en el comercio y la industria en el XX, lo que significó un desarrollo del sector financiero especializado. Se recurrió auna exhaustiva revisión de archivos notariales,censos de población y productivos, memorias ministeriales, prensa y literatura.

Lung cancer is the leading cause of death in men and women worldwide. In 2016, approximately 226,160 new cases were diagnosed and 156,900 people died from the disease. In the USA, its incidence has increased significantly in recent years, with an estimated 15,400 new cases per year. More than 70% of cases are diagnosed with locally advanced or metastatic disease. Worldwide, the 5-year survival rate of lung cancer patients is approximately 15.7% to 17.4%. The stage of the disease is the most important prognostic factor. Patient characteristics associated with a worse prognosis include the patient's condition or functional status, which is a key factor as it will determine the treatment the patient will receive. To achieve optimal results, the clinical approach to these patients must be multidisciplinary. No diagnostic screening test currently reduces mortality. It is reported that a 58-year-old male patient comes with dyspnea on medium exertion accompanied by chest pain that has been going on for several weeks., El cáncer de pulmón es la principal causa de muerte en hombres y mujeres en todo el mundo. En 2016, se diagnosticaron aproximadamente 226.160 nuevos casos y 156.900 personas murieron a causa de la enfermedad. En USA su incidencia ha aumentado significativamente en los últimos años, estimándose 15.400 nuevos casos al año. Más del 70% de los casos se diagnostican con enfermedad localmente avanzada o metastásica. En todo el mundo, la tasa de supervivencia a 5 años de los pacientes con cáncer de pulmón es aproximadamente del 15,7% al 17,4%. El estadio de la enfermedad es el factor pronóstico más importante. Las características del paciente asociadas con un peor pronóstico incluyen el estado del paciente o el estado funcional, que es un factor clave ya que determinará el tratamiento que recibirá el paciente. Para lograr resultados óptimos, el abordaje clínico de estos pacientes debe ser multidisciplinario. Ninguna prueba de detección diagnóstica reduce actualmente la mortalidad. Se reporta un paciente masculino de 58 años acude por presentar disnea de medianos esfuerzos acompañados de dolor torácico de varias semanas de evolución.

El objetivo del presente estudio fue relacionar los estilos de aprendizaje, habilidades emocionales y múltiples con el rendimiento académico en estudiantes de primer año de la carrera pedagogía en educación física de una universidad de Santiago de Chile. Metodología: de tipo cuantitativa, no experimental de corte transversal. La muestra estuvo constituida por 84 estudiantes (20 mujeres y 64 hombres). Para evaluar los estilos de aprendizaje se utilizó CHAEA-36 y el Inventario Herrmann de Dominancia Cerebral, también se aplicó el Inventario de Inteligencias Múltiples (IAMI-R), el Inventario de Inteligencia Emocional y para el rendimiento académico, el acta de notas de las asignaturas cursadas en el primer semestre por el estudiantado. Resultados: se encontraron correlaciones medias bajas entre el estilo de aprendizaje activo con el rendimiento académico (r=-0,235) y la dominancia B se relaciona positivamente con las calificaciones (r=0,270). Conclusiones: son necesarios futuros estudios con un diseño longitudinal y experimental, ya que existen algunas habilidades claves para un docente integral que se debería intervenir desde los primeros años de formación.

Precise documentation is essential to carry out the restoration and enhancement processes of protected heritage contexts. Data collection has been increasingly perfected, to the point of being able to perform virtual recreations of complex historical sites,in order to carry out in-depth studies and analyses. An example is Carcabuey Castle (Cordoba, Andalusia), a large fortress with important medievalstructures. It is a monumental site of the so-called "Frontier Castles",which were located between the Kingdom of Aragon, and the Nasrid Kingdom of Granada. With the aim of restoring itand highlighting its value, an in-depth study was developedfor its conservation and subsequent intervention. The data collection included terrestrial laser scanning and vectorisingall the structures, as well as a complex and complete photogrammetric survey. From these previous data and carrying out a deductive analytical methodology, a model was generated which, after being printed in 3D (different models at different scales of detail), would allow the volumes, materials and textures which make up the castle,to be studied. The multidisciplinary team, composed of architects, archaeologists, historians and engineers, made it possible to provide multifaceted and inclusive characterto all the work, both in the study of pathologies based on the models, and in the construction phases,detected by the stereotomy of the ashlars,or chemical composition of mortars. Since then, with all the data obtained in the research,summarised in this article, it has been possible to carry out a correct diagnosis for the restoration and enhancement of the heritage site., La documentación precisa es fundamental para poder llevar a cabo los procesos de restauración y puesta en valor de los contextos patrimoniales protegidos. La toma de datos cada vez se ha ido perfeccionando más hasta el punto de poder realizar de forma virtual recreaciones de conjuntos históricos complejos para poder llevar a cabo profundos estudios y análisis. Un ejemplo de ello es el Castillo de Carcabuey (Córdoba, Andalucía), una gran fortaleza con importantes estructuras emergentes de época medieval. Se trata de un conjunto monumental de los llamados “Castillos de Frontera” que se ubicaban entre el reino de Aragón y el reino nazarí de Granada. Con el objetivo de restaurarlo y realzar suvalor, se llevó a cabo un profundo estudio para su conservación y posterior intervención. La toma de datos consistió en el escaneadoláser terrestrey vectorizado de todas las estructuras,así como en un complejo y completo levantamiento fotogramétrico. A partir de estos datos previos y llevando a cabo una metodología analítico-deductiva, se generó un modelado que permitiría, tras ser impreso en 3D (diferentes modelos a diferentes escalas de detalle), estudiar los volúmenes, materiales y texturas que configuran el castillo. El equipo multidisciplinar compuesto por arquitectos, arqueólogos, historiadores e ingenieros, permitió dar un carácter poliédrico e inclusivo a todo el trabajo, tanto de estudio de patologías a partir de los modelos, como de las fases constructivas detectadas por la estereotomía de los sillares o composición química de morteros. A partir de este momento, con todos los datos obtenidos en la investigación sintetizada en este artículo, se ha podido llevar a cabo una correcta diagnosis para la restauración y puesta en valor del conjunto patrimonial

The novel method presented here comprises techniques for cloud coverage percentage forecasts, cloud movement forecast and the subsequently prediction of the global horizontal irradiance (GHI) using all-sky images and Machine Learning techniques. Such models are employed to forecast GHI, which is necessary to make more accurate time series forecasts for photovoltaic systems like “island solutions” for power production or for energy exchange like in virtual power plants. All images were recorded by a hemispheric sky imager (HSI) at the Institute of Meteo rology and Climatology (IMuK) of the Leibniz University Hannover, Hannover, Germany. This thesis is composed of three parts. First, a model to forecast the total cloud cover five-minutes ahead by training an autoregressive neural network with Backpropagation. The prediction results showed a reduction of both the Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) and Mean Absolute Error (MAE) by approximately 30% compared to the reference solar persistence solar model for various cloud conditions. Second, a model to predict the GHI up to one-hour ahead by training a Levenberg Marquardt Backpropagation neural network. This novel method reduced both the RMSE and the MAE of the one-hour prediction by approximately 40% under various weather conditions. Third, for the forecasting of the cloud movement up to two-minutes ahead, a high-resolution Deep Learning method using convolutional neural networks (CNN) was created. By taking real cloud shapes produced by the correction of the hazy areas considering the green signal counts pixels, predicted clouds shapes of the proposed algorithm was compared with the persistence solar model using the Sørensen-Dice similarity coefficient (SDC). The results of the proposed method have shown a mean SDC of 94 ± 2.6% (mean ± standard deviation) for the first minutes outperforming the persistence solar model with a SDC of 89 ± 3.8%. Sexism corresponds to a set of beliefs of the characteristics that men and women possess that produce inequalities, generally towards women. The objectives of this study were to know the psychometric properties of the Inventory of Ambivalent Sexism in a sample of Physical Education students in Chile and to study the differences in sexism according to sex and year of study. The sample consisted of 265 physical education students from two Chilean universities. Of the total, 106 were women (40.0%). The results show that the inventory has adequate levels of validity and reliability in the sample studied. Benevolent and hostile sexism has higher scores in men (p=.000) and in first and second year courses compared to fourth and fifth (p=.000). It is concluded that the instrument is valid and reliable to be applied to this type of samples and that men who study physical education and the first two years of the career present the highest levels of sexism., El sexismo corresponde a un conjunto de creencias de las características que poseen hombres y mujeres que producen desigualdades, generalmente hacia las mujeres. Los objetivos del presente estudio fueron conocer las propiedades psicométricas del Inventario de Sexismo Ambivalente en una muestra de estudiantes de Educación Física de Chile y estudiar las diferencias del sexismo según sexo y año cursado en la carrera. La muestra estuvo constituida por 265 estudiantes de Educación Física de dos Universidades de Chile. Del total, 106 fueron mujeres (40.0%). Los resultados muestran que el inventario posee niveles adecuados de validez y confiabilidad en la muestra estudiada. El sexismo benevolente y hostil presenta mayores puntajes en los hombres (p=.000) y en los cursos de primer y segundo año en comparación con cuarto y quinto (p=.000). Se concluye que el instrumento es válido y confiable para ser aplicado a este tipo de muestras y que los hombres que estudian educación física y los dos primeros años de la carrera presentan los mayores niveles de sexismo.
