In this paper, the S-matrix parametrization is adopted to analyze the refractive scattering of [Formula: see text] at intermediate energies systematically and that of [Formula: see text] at 230 MeV. For [Formula: see text], the experimental data containing the Fraunhofer oscillations and the rainbow falloff are reproduced very well by adjusting parameters. The S-matrix parameters and the rainbow angles show evident tendencies as the bombarding energy increases, which are comparable with those of [Formula: see text] elastic scattering on carbon target. For [Formula: see text], the experimental data in the forward direction are reproduced successfully by slightly adjusting the parameters used in the calculation of [Formula: see text] at 210 MeV. The calculated results show that the [Formula: see text] scattering exhibits a comparable transparency with that of [Formula: see text] at intermediate energies.

We study the fragmentation (far forward/backward) region of heavy ion collisions by considering an at-rest nucleus which is struck by a relativistic sheet of colored glass. By means of a simple classical model, we calculate the subsequent evolution of baryons and the associated radiation. We confirm that the struck nucleus undergoes a compression and that the dynamics of the early times of the collision are best described by two separate fluids as the produced radiation's velocity distribution is very different to the velocity distribution of the matter in the struck nucleus., Comment: 23 pages, 11 figures. We study the process $qq\rightarrow qqg$ at lowest order in QCD perturbation theory to understand gluon radiation in the fragmentation region of relativistic heavy-ion collisions. As an important decay model of unstable superheavy nuclei, the cluster radioactivity half-lives of the ^306-339 126 isotopes is calculated by using universal decay law (UDL formula) and the scaling law of Horoi (Horoi formula), which can describe cluster radioactivity very well. The result of the two formulas' calculation is compared and analyzed. it shows that there is a long half-life at N=200 and 206. And ^318 126 is extremely unstable in cluster radioactivity.

Two strains (JD204 and JC186) were obtained from 127 bacterial endophytes isolated from winter wheat plants, and identified as Pseudomonas putida based on their 16S rRNA and rpoD gene sequences. Both strains produced indoleacetic acid (IAA), with the abilities to solubilize inorganic and organic phosphorus, and to promote wheat growth. Strain JD204 had stronger growth-promoting, phosphorus-solubilizing and IAA-producing activities than strain JC186. Natural infection of stripe rust on the JD204-inoculated winter wheat cultivars was investigated. Disease incidence and disease index were significantly reduced on seven and eight out of 11 JD204-treated wheat cultivars, respectively, compared to their respective controls. Yields were significantly enhanced on eight out of 11 wheat cultivars treated by the strain compared to the controls. The results indicated that strain JD204 could be considered a promising biocontrol agent against stripe rust as well as a yield-enhancing agent for ecofriendly wheat production.

To explore effective and ecofriendly means of controlling wheat flag smut (WFS) using biocontrol agents, three endophytic strains (58-2-1, 37-1 and YC-1) of Bacillus sp. were isolated from winter wheat plants in China and identified as Bacillus thuringiensis based on their 16S rDNA sequences as well as phenotypic characteristics. Four morphological (leaf length, root length, dry weight and tiller numbers) and one physiological [root vigour (RV)] parameters of wheat plants treated by strains 58-2-1 and 37-1 were significantly enhanced compared to the control. The soluble sugar contents in the roots of wheat samples treated by the two strains were significantly lower than the control. The resistance of wheat varieties to WFS was investigated by inoculation tests. Of the 12 wheat varieties tested, 6 (Yunhan-618, Bainongaikang-58, Kaimai-20, Zhengmai-9023, 04-zhong-36 and Yanzhan-4110) were identified as WFS-highly resistant (HR), 3 (Pumai-9, Jinboshi-1 and Yunong-202) WFS-moderately resistant (MR), 1 (Yubao-...

The properties of Z=119 isotopes in ground state are studied by relativistic mean field (RMF) theory with the force TM1. Based on the conventional Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer (BCS) approximation, which is used to study the pairing correlation, the unpaired odd nucleons are studied in the “blocking” method. The properties of average binding energies, the quadrupole deformation, occupation number Noccu , isotope shifts and the density distributions of neutron and proton for Z=119 isotopes are calculated and compared with the finite-range droplet model (FRDM).
