Background At present, Beijing has formulated a series of performance management policies for community health service centers, most of which focus on assessment and have not yet formed a performance management system. At the same time, there are still many problems in performance management considering the actual work of the centers. On the basis of the original internal performance appraisal system, this study improved the performance management in view of the existing problems, formed a set of performance management system applicable to the district community health service center, provided a reference for the community health service centers to establish a scientific performance management system in the future, and promoted the development of community health service work. Objective To explore the effect of performance management in community health service center. Methods In 2019, this group conducted a baseline survey on the current status of performance management in terms of center position setting, assessment indicators and weights, performance feedback and improvement in 18 community health service centers in Tongzhou District, Beijing. The Delphi expert consultation method was used to determine the evaluation indicators of the implementation effect of performance management, and the Internal Performance Management Manual of Community Health Service Centers (hereinafter referred to as the Manual), which contains 6 first-level indicators (number of services, service utilization, service quality, medical staff performance evaluation, patient satisfaction, and target management) and 34 second-level indicators, was finally determined. 2021, the evaluation of the application effect of the Manual was carried out (number of services, service utilization, service quality, medical staff performance evaluation, patient satisfaction, and target management) . Results The service quantity, service utilization and service quality of key work in 2020 were improved compared with those of the previous year, except for the family doctor contract rate and the real physical examination rate of the elderly, which were slightly lower than the regional average level, other indicators were higher than the regional level; performance management evaluation: Medical staff believed that the salary and workload were relatively matched and very matched increased by 29.8%; the cognition of center development goals, department development goals and individual work priorities increased by 15.6%, 13.2% and 2.6% respectively; the assessment indicators were in line with the actual work increased by 20.6%; reasonableness of index weight value and the secondary performance distribution of departments and stations increased by 19.4% and 8.3% respectively; the incentive that is strong increased by 18.3%; the performance improvement effect increased by 18.1% significantly; the overall satisfaction with performance management increased by 11.8%. Resident satisfaction: satisfaction with chronic disease management, children's health management, medical staff's technical level, and medical treatment results improved to varying degrees. Year-end assessment of district level: except for 1 center whose ranking remained unchanged, the rest of the centers were all improved. Salary: annual per capita incomes of on-the-job workers, doctors, nurses, and preventive and public health personnel increased by 5.2%, 7.6%, 8.4%, and 10.4% respectively, which was forty seven, eighty seven, forty four and thirty nine thousand higher than that of the whole region. Conclusion After the demonstration of community health service centers with different economic development levels, the application effect of the performance management system is remarkable, which improves the quantity and quality level of key work in the community, enhances the enthusiasm and service ability of medical staff, and then improves the satisfaction of patients, and it has certain promotion value. However, the number of centers that apply performance management system is limited and the time is short, so it is necessary to expand the application scope and continue to track the application situation in the future.

ObjectiveTemporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) is a prevalent refractory partial epilepsy seen in clinical practice, with most cases originating from the hippocampus and being characterized by impaired learning and memory. Oxidative stress plays a direct role in the development of epilepsy and neurodegeneration while promoting cognitive dysfunction. Previous research indicates that benzyl isothiocyanate (BITC) has antioxidative stress properties and contributes to neuroprotection. In this study, we aimed to investigate the neuroprotective effect of BITC on a lithium-pilocarpine-induced temporal lobe epileptic mice model.MethodsWe conducted Intellicage learning tests, Morris water maze, open field test, and step-down-type passive avoidance tests, respectively. In addition, body weight and brain-to-body ratio were calculated. Nissl staining, real-time quantitative PCR detection of nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2), heme oxygenase 1 (HO-1) and NAD(P)H dehydrogenase quinone 1(NQO1) were performed. Content of malondialdehyde (MDA) and activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) and total antioxidant capacity (T-AOC) were determined.ResultsOur results demonstrate that BITC enhances cognitive function and motor ability in mice, as determined by Intellicage learning tests, Morris water maze, open field test, and step-down-type passive avoidance tests, respectively. Epilepsy leads to the loss of neurons in the CA3 region, while BITC treatment plays a positive role in neuroprotection, especially in the cortex. In comparison to the control group, the EP group exhibited decreased transcription levels of HO-1 and NQO1, alongside reduced GSH-Px activity, while MDA content was elevated. Conversely, the BITC treatment group, when compared to the EP group, showed enhanced transcription levels of Nrf2, HO-1, and NQO1, along with increased GSH-Px activity, and a decrease in MDA content.ConclusionIn summary, our study provides evidence that BITC can improve cognitive impairments in pilocarpine-induced epileptic mice, demonstrating significant antioxidant effects and neuroprotective properties. This highlights its potential as a phytochemical for managing the sequelae of epilepsy.

Background and Aim: The compliance and timeliness of oral laxatives have always been the key factors restricting bowel preparation (BP). We have constructed a novel enhanced‐educational content and process based on social software (SS) for BP to optimize these issues. Methods: A multicenter, prospective, randomized controlled study was conducted at 13 hospitals in China from December 2019 to December 2020. A total of 1774 enrollees received standard instructions for BP and were randomly assigned (1:1) to the SS group (SSG) that received a smartphone‐based enhanced‐education strategy starting 4 h before colonoscopy or the control group (CG). Results: A total of 3034 consecutive outpatient colonoscopy patients were assessed for eligibility, and 1774 were enrolled and randomly assigned. Ultimately, data from 1747 (SSG vs CG: 875 vs 872) enrollees were collected. The BP adequacy rate was 92.22% (95% CI: 90.46–93.98) in the SSG vs 88.05% (95% CI: 85.91–90.18) in the CG (P = 0.005), and the total Boston Bowel Preparation Scale scores (6.89 ± 1.15 vs 6.67 ± 1.15, P < 0.001) of those in the SSG were significantly higher than those in the CG. The average number of polyps detected in the SSG was considerably higher than that in the CG (0.84 ± 2.00 vs 0.53 ± 1.19, P = 0.037), and the average diameter of the polyps was significantly lower than that of the control group (4.0 ± 2.5 vs 4.9 ± 3.7, P < 0.001). Background: Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) virulence factors, particularly the cagA and vacA genotypes, play important roles in the pathogenic process of gastrointestinal disease. Methods: The cagA and vacA genotypes of 87 H. pylori strains were determined by PCR and sequencing. The EPIYA and CM motif patterns were analyzed and related to clinical outcomes. We examined the associations between the virulence genes of H. pylori and gastrointestinal diseases in Shandong, and the results were analyzed via the chi-square test and logistic regression model. Results: Overall, 76 (87.36%) of the strains carried the East Asian-type CagA, with the ABD types being the most prevalent (90.79%). However, no significant differences were observed among the different clinical outcomes. The analysis of CagA sequence types revealed 8 distinct types, encompassing 250 EPIYA motifs, including 4 types of EPIYA or EPIYA-like sequences. Additionally, 28 CM motifs were identified, with the most prevalent patterns being E (66.67%), D (16.09%), and W-W (5.75%). Notably, a significant association was discovered between strains with GC and the CM motif pattern D (P < 0.01). With respect to the vacA genotypes, the strains were identified as s1, s2, m1, m2, i1, i2, d1, d2, c1, and c2 in 87 (100%), 0 (0), 26 (29.89%), 61 (70.11%), 73 (83.91%), 14 (16.09%), 76 (87.36%), 11 (12.64%), 18 (20.69%), and 69 (79.31%), respectively. Specifically, the vacA m1 and c1 genotypes presented a significantly greater prevalence in strains from GC compared to CG (P < 0.05). Following adjustment for age and sex, the vacA c1 genotype demonstrated a notable association with GC (OR = 5.174; 95% CI, 1.402–20.810; P = 0.012). This association was both independent of and more pronounced than the correlations between vacA m1 and GC. Conclusions: CagA proteins possessing CM motif pattern D were more frequently observed in patients with GC (P < 0.01), implying a potentially higher virulence of CM motif pattern D than the other CM motif patterns. Moreover, a strong positive association was identified between the vacA c1 genotype and GC, indicating that the vacA c1 genotype is a robust risk indicator for GC among male patients aged ≥55 years in Shandong. The construction of high‐efficiency self‐supported ceramic photoelectrode based on ideal semiconductor materials is essential for achieving effective degradation of pollutants by photoelectrocatalysis (PEC) technology. Herein, a Ti4O7/h‐BN composite ceramic photoelectrode with a unique microstructure was fabricated by a step‐by‐step calcination process and used in PEC water pollution remediation. The PEC activity of Ti4O7 ceramic photoelectrode could be enhanced by introducing hexagonal boron nitride (h‐BN) nanoparticles on the surface. The most optimized Ti4O7/h‐BN photoelectrode exhibited the decolorization rate of active brilliant blue KN‐R at about 97.79% in 30 min. The PEC activities could remain stable during five degradation cycles. The excellent photoelectrocatalytic performance of Ti4O7/h‐BN ceramic photoelectrode could be attributed to the low Tafel slope, low charge transfer resistance, large electrochemical active area, and excellent photo‐generated carrier separation efficiency. A type‐II heterojunction was formed between the Ti4O7 and h‐BN, which caused more effective carrier separation and enhanced the generation of dominant active species •O2− and h+. This work provided a mature synthesis strategy of Ti4O7/h‐BN self‐supported ceramic photoelectrodes with excellent practical application prospects to achieve superior PEC performance for water purification. A new newt species, Hypselotriton huanggangensis sp. nov., is described based on nine specimens collected from Huanggangshan Mountains, Yanshan County, Jiangxi, China. Morphologically, the new species is characterized by the combination of nine external characters: (1) obvious black patches with clear boundaries on the whole body; (2) ground color of the dorsal body tan; (3) ground color of venter bright orange; (4) skin rough; (5) vertebral ridge weak; (6) fingers and toes overlapping when forelimb and hindlimb adpressed towards each other along body; (7) postocular orange spot absent; (8) small white warty glands around the eye; (9) two discontinuous longitudinal lines formed by white warty glands from neck to lateral parts of tail. Molecularly, the new species forms an independent clade with strong support in the phylogenetic trees of the genus based on the mitochondrial locus of NADH dehydrogenase subunit 2 (ND2) gene fragments. The new species distinctly differs from H. fudingensis by differences in its body measurements, vertebral ridge, dorsal black patches, and ventral black patches. Furthermore, the new species and H. fudingensis are geographically isolated by a series of high mountain ranges, including the Wuyishan and Jiufengshan Mountains. To meet the challenge of efficient modeling of film blowing with realistic constitutive equations for commercial thermoplastic melts, we present a multistage optimization modeling framework that integrates polymerization reaction modeling, rheology modeling, and bubble-shape prediction. A direct link is thereby created between the polymer architecture and the bubble shape of low-density polyethylene (LDPE) through a three-stage modeling protocol. Stage 1 aims to get complete polymer structure information from a limited set of linear and nonlinear rheological data and the measured averaged molecular weight. An optimization loop uses the Tobita algorithm for polymer reaction and the BoB model for rheology to minimize the deviation between experimental data and model predictions. Stage 2 is designed to obtain a representative reduced ensemble of LDPE in the Rolie-double-poly (RDP) model to reduce the computational cost of rheology calculations during processing. The parameters of the reduced molecular components are obtained by fitting the RDP model to a wide range of rheology data predicted by the BoB model applied to the full ensemble of polymer architectures obtained in stage 1. In stage 3, the reduced-ensemble RDP model is coupled to measured temperature profiles using time–temperature superposition, and the bubble shape and strain rate history of a fluid particle in the bubble are obtained by minimizing error in the momentum balance equations. We show that each stage of the process yields successful fitting, and at the end, we obtain an a priori prediction of height-dependent bubble radius and velocity in agreement with experiment. This paper recommends the rolling optimization strategy based on the initial data of road traffic accidents, and builds the rolling optimization-grey Markov dynamic prediction model, which can effectively resolve the matter that the precision of accident forecast is influenced by the time benefit of the predicted data. In order to predict the development tendency of road traffic accidents and further improve the prediction precision of random time series, this paper uses Markov chain theory to probe into the transition law between different states. The case study shows that this measure has good forecast precision and practicability in a certain period of time, and can offer Reference for road traffic accident forecast and traffic safety warning.

Simple Summary: A new species of snail-eating snake in the genus Pareas is described, from the Youjiang District, Baise City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, based on one male and three juvenile specimens. The maximum likelihood analyses based on Cytochrome b (Cyt b) and NADH dehydrogenase subunit 4 (ND4) indicated the new taxon is different from its congeners. Morphologically, the new species can be diagnosed from the other species by a combination of seven characters. The recognition of the new species brings the number of described Pareas species to 30. We described a new species of genus Pareas from Baise City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, based on morphological and molecular evidence. Pareas baiseensis sp. nov. is distinguished from its congeners by the combination of (1) Yellowish-brown body colouration; (2) Frontal subhexagonal to diamond-shaped with its lateral sides converging posteriorly; (3) The anterior pair of chin shields is longer than it is broad; (4) Loreal not in contact with the eye, prefrontal in contact with the eye, two or three suboculars; (5) Rows of 15–15–15 dorsal scales, five rows of mid-dorsal scales keeled at the middle of the body, one vertebral scale row enlarged; (6) 187–191 ventrals, 89–97 subcaudals, all divided, cloacal plate single; (7) Two postocular stripes, the nuchal area forming a dark black four-pointed fork collar with the middle tines shorter than the outside tines. The genetic divergence (uncorrected p-distance) between the new species and other representatives of Pareas ranged from 13.9% to 24.4% for Cytochrome b (Cyt b) and 12.1% to 25.5% for NADH dehydrogenase subunit 4 (ND4). Phylogenetic analyses of mitochondrial DNA gene data recovered the new species from being the sister taxon to (P. boulengeri + P. chinensis) from China. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
