Additional file of Trans-synaptic spreading of alpha-synuclein pathology through sensory afferents leads to sensory nerve degeneration and neuropathic pain

O parafuso de Arquimedes, tem como principal função bombear grandes volumes de massas fluídas, nomeadamente águas residuais, quando os desníveis a vencer não são muito elevados. A presente dissertação, tem como objetivo apresentar um estudo exploratório relacionado com este equipamento: desenvolvimento de uma ferramenta analítica (modelo em forma de função matemática) que permita estimar o valor do arejamento associado à elevação de águas residuais, bem como interpretar de uma forma qualitativa a relação entre esse valor e as variáveis de que depende. O estudo foi elaborado tendo, como base teórica, o conhecimento do estado da arte da investigação anterior disponível, relativamente ao fenómeno de transferência de massa gás-liquido. Porém, genericamente, atendendo às imperfeições de muitos modelos teóricos, quando comparados com os resultados práticos, e dado não existirem, ainda, modelos conhecidos sobre as especificidades do caso em estudo, foi objetivo da dissertação utilizar medições in situ em três ETAR (Estação de Tratamento de Águas Residuais), localizadas na área metropolitana de Lisboa, para obter resultados práticos imediatos. Depois de recolhidos os dados de campo, procedeu-se à realização de testes estatísticos, conducentes à obtenção de uma equação de previsão do arejamento fornecido, em função das variáveis independentes que caracterizam a instalação de elevação, podendo, assim, ser a mesma utilizada para estimativas aproximadas em conceção de um sistema de elevação do tipo em estudo. A análise de sensibilidade ajudou a criar massa crítica sobre a forma como os resultados podem ser influenciados pela variação das variáveis independentes. Na fase final desta dissertação, após a análise de resultados e a obtenção da função da estimativa do arejamento, apresentam-se as conclusões explicativas finais, bem como as sugestões consideradas pertinentes acerca de investigações futuras que poderão pormenorizar o estudo agora apresentado, particularmente relativamente a um maior número de dados de tipologias mais diferenciadas.
