Pyrolysis is a promising alternative for the removal or immobilization of hazardous elements in sewage sludge (SS) without compromising its biofertilizer features. However, the effects of pyrolysis on SS emerging contaminants have not been fully investigated. Therefore, this study aimed to assess the fate of heavy metals, pesticides, and organic pollutants in SS through pyrolysis, as well as the suitability of SS and its derived biochar (SSB) for soil application. Municipal SS was pyrolyzed at different scales (bench and micro units) and temperatures (400, 500, and 600°C) for comparison. The general properties, surface morphology, and functional groups of SS and SSB were analyzed. Also, a quantitative analysis of heavy metals (Zn, Cu, Cr, Ni, Cd, and Pb) and a qualitative investigation of organic pollutants and pesticides were performed. The results demonstrated that pyrolysis at 400°C increased the stability of SS and strongly affected its surface area, resulting in a high pore structure with a developed surface charge. Simultaneously, the relative content of organic matter and nutrients remained nearly unchanged. All heavy metals analyzed in SS and SSB400 were within limits set by the International Biochar Initiative for soil application. Moreover, organic pollutants and pesticides were detected in the SS but were partially degraded or immobilized after pyrolysis > 400°C. In conclusion, the production of SSB proved to be an effective method for removing toxic elements from SS while enhancing its properties for soil remediation and crop productivity. Macro and microelements. Underground biomass. Nutrient cycling ,Macro e microelementos. Biomassa subterrânea. Ciclagem de nutrientes - Abstract
Root biomass plays a vital role in nutrient cycling for the maintenance and functioning of different ecosystems. In this context, this study aimed to determine the stocks of elements in root biomass under different covers in the Cerrado of Tocantins, Brazil. The research was conducted in different vegetal coverings: agriculture, pasture, Eucalyptus sp., and native Cerrado forest. Root biomass was collected in six trenches, 70 x 70 cm, and a depth of 50 cm through sieving. Macro and microelement stocks were determined in root biomass. Macros and microelements showed higher average values for the native forest. With the change in vegetation cover, N, P, and S were higher in agriculture, with stocks of 1.82 Mg ha-1, 1.83 Mg ha-1, and 9.6 Mg ha-1. In a planted forest of Eucalyptus sp., macroelements K, Ca, and Mg were higher, with stock values of 16.06 Mg ha-1, 25.91 Mg ha-1, and 5.02 Mg ha-1, and microelements, B, Cu, Fe, Mn, and Zn with values of 0.05 Mg ha-1, 0.04 Mg ha-1, 5 Mg ha-1, 0.7 Mg ha-1, and 0.08 Mg ha-1 in root biomass, respectively. Thus, the planted forest of Eucalyptus sp. promoted greater stocks and cycling of elements, with greater stability of the organic material.

- Abstract
The reduction and resolution of conflicts involving the use of water, as well as the guarantee of compliance with its various uses, require the appropriate management of water resources, using the instruments foreseen in the pertinent legislation. Among the legal instruments used for the distribution of water, among the different uses and users, the granting of right of use stands out, which is provided as a function of demand and water availability in the requested water body. For the establishment of water availability in a river basin it is necessary to quantify the flows, which is done from the data collected in the fluviométricas stations. However, the Brazilian hydrometric network does not fully cover all hydrography, leaving parts of it without the necessary data for the estimation of flows. The regionalization of flows has been carried out with the objective of providing hydrological information in places with no data or with little information available, as long as they share similar characteristics. The hydrographic basin of the Japaratuba River, which is the object of the study, although it has the most complete hydrological monitoring network in the State of Sergipe, is characterized by great climatic variability (Tropical Humid, Agreste and Semi-Arid), resulting in a different hydrological behavior throughout this basin. Thus, the objective of this work is to determine the regionalization equations of the Q90 residence flow for this basin, which best fit its climatic hydro behavior, in order to obtain a small variation between the actual and the calculated regionalization flow. In the determination of the Q90 permanence flow, the Traditional Method of regionalization was applied, having as independent variables the drainage area of the fluviometric station and its accumulated mean precipitation. The results show that the regionalization of the permanence flow when considering the average monthly precipitation characteristics to define the homogeneous re

For melon production to meet the standards required by the market, it is necessary to use technologies that make it possible to alleviate the effect of limiting factors on crop development. Irrigation, in addition to being one of these technologies, is identified as one of the alternatives for the socioeconomic development of semiarid regions. However, this must be properly managed in order to avoid problems of degradation of water and edaphic resources. Based on the above, the objective was to analyze the behavior of the melon crop under different soil water regimes. The experiment was carried out in a private area in the Baixo Acaraú Irrigation District, using melon seeds, var. inodorus, cv. F1 10/00 “yellow” type, irrigated with different irrigation depths. The seeds were planted in rows equidistant at 2 m, placing two seeds per emitter spaced approximately 12 cm apart, totaling 24 plants per row. The plants were irrigated with a localized drip system, with 2.3 L h-1 flow emitters, spaced 0.5 m apart. The amount of water applied was determined by the need to replace losses resulting from crop evapotranspiration (ETc). Postharvest shelf life (weight loss, brix and pulp firmness) was evaluated. It was found that the different blades provided in the cycle influenced the postharvest characteristics of fruit weight, brix and texture, however, the irrigation blades caused more effects on the weight and brix characteristics as it was increased, except for variable texture of the fruit.

- Abstract
The research aimed to validate the ISAREG model, introducing it to water management studies in irrigation in the State of Ceará, comparing results of experimental research, with results of simulations, carried out with the use of software, analyzing the following variables: crop evapotranspiration, variation of soil water storage and water flow in the soil. A bibliographic survey was carried out to obtain soil, climate and crop information required by the model to perform the soil water balance. Aiming at the validation of ISAREG, the model was fed with the following data: reference evapotranspiration, precipitation, phenological phases of the crop, effective depth of the root system, water availability factor in the soil, crop coefficient and soil information. Subsequently, the irrigation management option "dates and irrigation depths" was selected, and ISAREG performed the simulation of the soil water balance. The ISAREG demonstrated a detailed soil water balance, being validated in this study, because when its results were compared to the experimental ones, there was similarity in the trends of the variables analyzed, despite the reduced correlation verified regarding the variation of water storage in the soil.

- Abstract
Agronomic information on the cultivation of Jatropha plants (Jatropha curcas L.) in the field is still uncommon in the literature, especially under conditions of water and nutritional stress. Thus, this field study aimed to evaluate the effects of irrigation depths (735; 963; 1,191; 1,418 and 1,646 mm) and nitrogen fertilization (0; 25; 50 and 75 kg ha-1) on the characteristics of seeds of Jatropha. Nitrogen fertilization did not influence the production components of Jatropha. The seeds have an elongated aspect, where the length is always greater than the width and thickness. The highest values of seed thickness obtained in plants under the lowest irrigation depth. Plants under the highest irrigation depth showed the highest values of seed length, total number of seeds per plant and productivity of seeds.

- Abstract
The aim of this work was to evaluate the soil chemical parameters and microbiological quality of biquinho pepper fruits irrigated with treated wastewater and different irrigation depths. The experiment was carried out in protected environment with the application of four irrigation depths corresponding to 50, 75, 100 and 125% of the crop evapotranspiration with three concentrations of 0, 50 and 100% of treated wastewater in the cultivation of biquinho pepper in pots. The experimental design was in randomized blocks in a 3 x 4 factorial scheme, totaling 12 treatments, with three replications. The soil chemical parameters were determined before and after the growing the pepper with treated wastewater. Reference evapotranspiration (ETo) was estimated by the FAO Penman-Monteith method using data obtained from an Automatic Weather Station installed inside the protected environment. The microbiological quality was analyzed by quantifying fecal coliforms and the presence of Salmonella sp. recommended by Brazilian National Agency for Sanitary Surveillance (ANVISA). All pepper samples were in accordance with the limits recommended by the legislation and, therefore, the use of wastewater in pepper irrigation did not represent a risk to public health. The soil chemical parameters were changed in different ways after the application of the treated wastewater, being motivated by both soil and wastewater chemical characteristics.

This work aimed to evaluate the development of green chive in detriment to the irrigation blade and synthetic fertilization. The experiment was conducted in the experimental area of Arapiraca Campus of UFAL. The experimental design had a 5 x 6 factorial, in DBC, with four blocks, the treatments adopted were five irrigation blades and six levels of NPK fertilization. The data obtained were subjected to analysis of variance, of regression and multivariate: principal component analysis (PCA) and cluster hierarchical analysis (CHA), using the statistical software R. The results show that excessive blades and fertilizers limit the growth and productivity of the green chive crop. The best interactions between blades and the NPK are between the 100% and 125% ETc and 100% and the recommended 150% fertilization intervals. The ACP showed that the levels of fertilization NPK A3 and A4 in the blades were the ones that most influenced the variables related to the culture of green chive. The variables of major commercial interest determine the major part of the NPK level variability in irrigation blades. AHC indicated the height of the plant with greater dissimilarity between the other variables and the variables diameter and number of bulbs with greater similarity. Interactions L4A6 and L5A6 have the largest similarity and L3A3 the largest dissimilarity between the others. The L3A3 interaction showed the highest number of variables, with no response of any variable for the interaction with the L4 blade and for the A1 and A2 fertilizers.

The objective is to analyze the behavior of the initial growth of the sunflower, to cultivate SYN045, influenced by different levels of salinity in the irrigation water. The work was implemented and conducted at the Educational Field Unit of the Agricultural Studies and Research Group in Caatinga - GEPAC at the Federal Institute of Bahia, Campus Serrinha, located in the municipality of Serrinha in the State of Bahia. The research consisted of four levels of saline water with five replicates each, with one plant per pot, totaling 20 plants. The treatments used with saline water were: S0 = 0.4; S1 = 2.2; S2 = 4.4 and S3 = 6.6 dS.m-1. To differentiate the saline treatments, NaCl, CaCl2.2H2O and MgCl2.6H2O were added, in the proportion of 7:2:1 to the supply water. The variables of stem height of the plant and Absolute Growth Rate of stem were analyzed. With the results obtained in the field, it is possible to affirm that the increase in salt concentrations in irrigation water negatively affects the growth and development of the sunflower cultivar SYN045. - Abstract
Watersheds are units of planning and environmental management having a great importance in the management of water resources and their use. To this end, knowledge about the soil's physical and water attributes is of paramount importance in the context of water dynamics in aquifer recharge areas. Water infiltration rate into the soil is considered an important variable in the hydrological cycle, as the increase in this process can lead to a reduction in erosion and consequently greater groundwater recharge. Thus, the present work aimed to evaluate the soil water infiltration rate in the phytophysiognomy of the Poxim River basin in the State of Sergipe, in the agriculture, eucalyptus and forest areas, and to observe the effect of the infiltration water rate in areas of no-till, minimum and conventional cultivation. The soil water infiltration rate was obtained through the use of double cylinder infiltrometer and estimated through the mathematical models of Kostiakov, Kostiakov-Lewis, Horton and Philip. When making comparisons between the models for estimating of soil water infiltration rates, the Horton model showed a better fit compared to the other models used, and the type of soil cover that obtained the highest infiltration rate was the forest. No-till areas provided higher water infiltration rates in the soil, contributing to greater groundwater recharge.

- Abstract
Changes in microclimates in urbanized areas are due to direct human interference, such as the replacement of wooded areas by paving and construction in inadequate locations. For the study of environments, climatic variables interpreted in isolation have little informative content because its exist in set. Considering the expansion of urban areas over the rural environment, the characterization of anthropized environments has been an important tool for feeding urban projects that, in order to be sustainable, have used comfort indexes in your evaluations. Another resource currently used are decision support systems, such as those that use fuzzy logic, as they assist in the observation of conflicting situations such as those involving environmental issues. Thus, in this research, the human discomfort index (HDI) was used to assess 6 different microclimates and to verify the degree of interference of rural anthropization in human thermal comfort and with the observed information build a mathematical model based on fuzzy logic, relating climatic variables and microenvironments, in which the response variable were levels of human well-being. In the end, it was possible to conclude that the urbanization process in rural areas influences the microclimate and quality of the environments, reflecting human thermal comfort. In addition, the Fuzzy model constructed estimated the observed scenarios in a coherent manner, serving to assist in the management of agricultural environments and decision making.

- Abstract
Irrigation makes food production viable, but the quality and quantity of water may be compromised as a result of inadequate management, which may lead to an increase in the concentration of nutrients, heavy metals and agrochemicals. This study aimed to characterize and monitor the water quality of the Continguiba/Pindoba Irrigated Perimeter in Sergipe, Brazil. Secondary data from the Water Quality Monitoring Program were used through the reports of monitoring campaigns carried out between 2013 and 2014. The Water Quality Index (WQI) and the Trophic State Index (TSI) were used in the water quality assessment. The results showed that there is an influence of seasonality, where the best indices were obtained in the rainy season, with the WQI characterized as regular to good, and the TSI characterized as oligotrophic. There was interference from the drainage of rice lots in the dry season, contributing to the increase of nutrients. There was no spatial influence for WQI, which may be related to the eclipse effect, which attenuated the negative impact of a certain variable given the aggregation of several variables. The TSI suffered spatial influence, the waters added to agricultural and fish lots were classified as oligotrophic or ultraoligotrophic, already in the drainage were found indexes of super-utrophic state.
