Статья посвящена невьянской старообрядческой иконе Урала Нового времени XVIII–XIX вв. Обозначены вехи историографии — 20‑е гг. XIX в.; время его второй половины — 1880–90‑е гг.; начало ХХ в. — формирование краеведческих коллекций УОЛЕ 1910–1920‑х гг.; публикации второй половины ХХ — начала XXI в. The article is devoted to the Nevyansk Old Believer icon of the Urals of the New time of the XVI–XIX centuries. The milestones of historiography are marked — the 20s of the XIX century; the time of its second half — the 80s, 90s; the beginning of the twentieth century — the formation of local history collections at the UNIVERSITY of the 1910–1920s; publications of the second half of the twentieth century — the beginning of the XXI century.

Вятской епархии. Поскольку первоначальное убранство вятских алтарей почти не сохранилось, в статье рассматриваются преимущественно памятники XIX — начала XX в. Впервые поставлена задача проанализировать алтарную монументальную роспись церквей Вятки XIX — начала XX в., выявив ее характерные особенности, а также специфику настенной живописи в целом. Анализируются визуально-фотографические, библиографические и историко-архивные документы, собранные в результате многолетней экспедиционно-исследовательской деятельности. Методика исследования предполагает использование иконографического и стилистического анализа, а также применение историко-культурного подхода. Рассматриваются особенности местной монументальной живописи и характерные архитектурно-планировочные признаки. Показано, что большинство сохранившихся алтарей с настенной живописью относятся к XIX — началу XX в., за исключением нескольких интерьеров XVIII в. Рассмотрен вопрос введения в программу росписей храма иконографии местночтимых святых. Установлено, что значительная часть росписей выполнена в религиозно-национальном стиле и по «образцам» художника-вятича В. М. Васнецова. Особое внимание уделено важным эпиграфическим источникам — подписным датированным алтарям с авторским надписанием. Для местной настенной живописи было характерно вольное обращение с образцами и применение разнородных источников при исполнении подрядов. На основе изучения письменных данных установлено, что исполнение работ осуществлялось как местными, так и приезжими мастерами и отражало финансовое состояние прихода. Результаты иконографического и стилистического анализа показывают, что оформление алтарей Вятки было в целом традиционным и ориентировалось по формированию программ и в художественно-стилевом отношении на главные храмы столиц. Monumental church construction began after the approval of the Vyatka diocese in 1657. Since the original decoration of the Vyatka altars is hardly preserved, the article mainly considers monuments of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The authors aim to analyse the altar monumental painting of Vyatka churches of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries which has not been done previously, revealing its special features, as well as the peculiarities of wall painting in general. The researchers analyse visual photographic, bibliographic, and historical archival documents collected as a result of many years of expeditions and studies. The methodology of the research involves the use of iconographic and stylistic analysis, as well as the application of the historical and cultural approach. The article considers features of local monumental painting, architectural and designing characteristics. It is demonstrated that most of the preserved altars with wall painting date back to the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, apart from a few interiors of the eighteenth century. Additionally, the authors examine the issue of introducing the iconography of locally venerated saints into the programme of church painting. It is revealed that a substantial part of the paintings is made following the religious national style and according to the “examples” of the local Vyatka artist V. M. Vasnetov. Special attention is paid to important epigraphic resources, i.e. altars which have dates and authors’ signatures. The characteristic phenomenon for local wall painting is a tendency to freedom in dealing with examples and using various sources while fulfilling contracts. Referring to written data, the authors establish that the works were carried out by both local masters and those from elsewhere and reflected the financial condition of the parish. As a result of iconographic and stylistic analysis, it is found out that the decoration of the Vyatka altars was generally traditional and relied on the examples of the main churches of the capitals in terms of programme formation, as well as artistically and stylistically.

Статья основана на исследованиях профессиональной живописи, скульптуры, графики и изобразительного фольклора на различных этапах истории искусства. Отличие наивного и самодеятельного искусства рассматривается в форме про­тивопоставленных категорий. Говорится об условности границ между профес­сиональным, самодеятельным и наивным искусством и об отличии наива (при­митива) и примитивизма. Приводятся примеры из истории отечественной и мировой культуры. Подчеркивается, что обозначенная проблема важна не толь­ко для теории, но и для практиков искусства и педагогов. Article is based on research of professional painting, sculpture, graphics and graphic folklore at various stages of history of art. Difference of naive and amateur art is considered in the form of the opposed categories. The author speaks about about convention of borders between professional, amateur and naive art and about difference of naivety (primitive) and primitiveness. Examples from history of domestic and world culture are given. It is emphasized that the designated problem is important not only for the theory, but also for practitioners of art and teachers.
