Abstract

The application of Big Data Analytics, sometimes referred to as BDA, is becoming an increasingly crucial part of the field of supply chain management (commonly known as SCM), which is becoming an increasingly important field overall. This is due to the fact that B is flexible enough to be utilized in a diverse range of SCM-related processes, which is the rationale behind the aforementioned remark. This category includes a wide variety of different types of employment, such as researching trends, forecasting demand, and evaluating customer behavior, to name just a few examples. With the help of this literature analysis, our goals are to categorize the predictive Big Data Analytics applications in supply chain demand forecasting, identify the research gaps, and provide some ideas for further investigation. In the tough economic environment of today, firms have used a wide array of targeted marketing tactics in order to maintain or expand their profit margin while simultaneously being one step ahead of their competitors. The usage of forecasting models is a significant component of the practice of precision marketing which aims to better comprehend and satisfy the requirements of the customers it serves. The evaluation of consumption patterns and preferences on the basis of data collected from customers and records of transactions is receiving an increasing amount of focus and attention as a result of this trend. This is done to ensure that product supply chains (SC) are managed in the most effective manner possible. The basic purpose of supply chain management, commonly known as SCM, is to exert command over the flow of products, services, and information as it goes from the locations where it was made all the way to the individuals who will ultimately buy it. The presumption that capacity, demand, and cost are all deterministic is the foundation of the great majority of research on the application of SCM to problems that occur in the real world. In point of fact, the presence of uncertainty is made worse by a variety of issues, some of which include but are not limited to varying customer demand, management of the supply chain, organizational risks, and lead times. To be more specific, demand ambiguity has a significant impact on SC performance and has far-reaching repercussions for the production scheduling, inventory planning, and transportation organization. This is because demand ambiguity makes it difficult to accurately predict future demand. In addition to this, the unpredictability of the market's demand might have a negative impact on the efficiency of SC's operations. Abstract

In recent years, deep learning has become an invaluable resource for chemists, notably in the areas of chemical reaction prediction and synthesis design. This abstract gives a quick summary of how deep learning is used in certain contexts. Predicting the result of chemical reactions is a difficult undertaking that requires much research. Training deep learning models on massive databases of known responses allows them to discover patterns and correlations. Examples of such models are graph neural networks, convolutional neural networks, and recurrent neural networks. Some of the things these models can do is anticipate key products, reaction processes, and yields by using the structural and contextual information of reactants. The goal of synthesis planning is to create a reaction plan that will successfully synthesize a desired molecule. To predict possible reactions for a given target molecule, deep learning algorithms study and learn from large reaction databases. These models think about things like whether or not a reaction can happen, under what circumstances, and with what reagents. Deep learning models may speed up the process of inventing novel chemical synthesis by proposing efficient and practical synthesis pathways using reinforcement learning or optimization approaches. Despite its potential, deep learning faces a number of obstacles and restrictions. The interpretability of model predictions, the ability to generalize to novel reaction types, the integration of safety and feasibility limitations, and the availability of extensive and trustworthy reaction datasets all play a role. Despite these obstacles, deep learning is set to transform chemical reaction prediction and synthesis planning thanks to continuous research and breakthroughs. 11. Preventive Effect of Ultraviolet Photofunctionalization on Peri-implant Biofilm Formation: An In vivo Randomized Study.

Abstract

Background: Peri-implant biofilm formation due to local bacterial colonization is one of the important factors for the instability of temporary anchorage devices (TADs). Aim: The aim of this study was to quantify and compare the colonization of Streptococcus sanguinis on ultraviolet (UV) treated and untreated titanium TADs. Materials and Methods: This prospective, in vivo study included 20 subjects requiring orthodontic treatment with first premolar extraction, followed by retraction of the anterior teeth with absolute anchorage using TADs. TADs were placed interdentally, in the keratinized tissue between the upper second premolar and the first molar on the buccal side, at the mucogingival junction. It was a split-mouth study where one side of TAD was UV-treated for 15 min, and the other side was kept untreated as a control. TADs were removed after 6 months for S. sanguinis quantification on both sides and were compared for biofilm reduction. Statistical Analysis: Statistical software was used to perform unpaired t-tests for the individual samples as well as for comparing total UV-treated and untreated samples. P <0.05 was considered significant. Results: The mean bacterial count (per ml) was found to be 2.2 × 106 copy numbers and 8.9 × 106 copy numbers in the UV group and untreated group, respectively. The total count of bacteria was found to be less in the UV-treated group compared to the untreated group. Conclusions: The study concludes that UV photofunctionalization results in a significant reduction of S. sanguinis colony on TADs with reduced chances of failure due to inflammation. 26. Ringxiety and the Mobile Phone Usage Pattern among the Students of a Medical College in South India.

Abstract

Aims: Technologies like mobile phones may not always work positively but they may have unforeseen adverse effects. This study was conducted to find the proportion of students who experienced ringxiety (phantom ringing) and other perceived effects, as well as the pattern of the mobile phone usage among college students. Method: A cross-sectional study was carried out at Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, south India, among 336 medical students by using a pre-tested, semi-structured questionnaire. Results: Among the total number of students, 335 students possessed mobile phones. Mostly, the persons whom they talked to on their phones were parents for 220 (51%) of the students. 48% (150) talked for less than half hour in a day and 41% (137) were high volume message users. "Ringxiety" was experienced by 34.5% (116) of the students and they were more likely to use their phones at restricted places like classrooms (99%) and libraries (60.3%). A significantly larger proportion of ringxiety sufferers also complained of hampered studies. Conclusion: The pattern of mobile phone use among the medical students appeared to be problematic, as a fairly large proportion suffered from ringxiety, they reported getting very upset and they used their phones at restricted times and places. Abstract

This research seeks to extend the earlier work done by various researchers and authors that examined the factors involved in the new product launch. In particular, the critical success factors involved in new product launch and the internationalization of the firm to launch the product in the foreign market is examined. The research is done in the context of the Indian Paint industry. The central research methodology for the project uses a qualitative approach involving the interviews. The interviews were taken from Asian Paints Ltd., Berger Paints and Rajdoot Paints. The interviewees were asked certain specific questions regarding the new product launch in national and international market. The interview explored the new product development and the launching tactics of these companies. From the interviews it was made clear that the companies follow all the main strategies that are required in the new product development and the launch of the product which proves out to be beneficial. But there are certain factors that companies do not take into consideration that the researchers talk about. These come out to be recommendations for them. Some of the limitation of the research is also covered which would be really helpful for the further researchers.
