Multicriteria group decision-making scenarios with a large number of criteria values may be challenging for experts to control. This is a result of the specialists' need to consider an excessive amount of data. They find it difficult to make the optimal decision since the possibilities overwhelm them. We propose a novel multicriteria group decisionmaking method that methodically eliminates the initial set of criterion values in order to address this issue. One of the most promising emerging technologies currently in development is an additive manufacturing (AM), which includes 3D printing. It has been hypothesized that 3D printing technology could eventually replace the conventional production machinery that is commonly used in the industrial sector. Making conclusions through accurate figures is difficult for decision-makers due to the complexity and ambiguity of reality. Neutrosophic ensembles are used to tackle uncertainty and indeterminacy in a practical environment. By concentrating on ranking the smaller set of criterion values, the proposed method enables the experts to carry out the group decision-making process. As a result, a relaxed decision-making environment is created, allowing the experts to handle a reasonable amount of information while still making decisions. To demonstrate the decision process of a 3D printer, we combine a single valued Neutrosophic with hybrid score and accuracy function, the single valued Neutrosophic number ranking approach, and the single valued Neutrosophic score and accuracy function. To determine the best attributes, the score function was used to rank the total values of each possibility. The research work is focused on a comprehensive study of crashworthiness parameters associated with widely used crash box components of passenger cars. The finite-element models representing the automotive crash box structure were procured from full-car digital models issued by NHTSA. From the full car model, the crash box geometry is extracted for the crash analysis and further design optimizations. The crashworthiness parameters such as energy absorption, crush force efficiency, specific energy absorption is studied in detail with analytical and finite-element solutions for each variant and are further enhanced using multi-objective design optimization through RSM-based DOE methods. For guiding engineers in real- time design exploration and other parametric assessments, a reduced-order model for each of the variants was developed by using the sPGD (sparse Proper Generalised Decomposition) method. The developed reduced order models of the crash boxes were able to accurately capture the non-linearities associated with them and delivered accuracy of 90%. On undergoing robust design assessment with crash box designs, taking into account of all variants, an average of 34.33% in energy absorption capacity was achieved. The heavier crash box variants which had good SEA capacity are performed for successful mass reduction of 18.91% without affecting their crash performance. Chilled cast iron tappet has a tendency microstructure of white, mottled and gray iron. The exact composition and other casting parameters, like pouring temperature, inoculation and coating, need to be determined for achieving the desired thickness of the chilled layer. Chilled cast iron finds applications in areas where improved hardness and wear resistance are required. Mottled cast iron has very poor machinability and high brittleness due to the presence of secondary cementite. These constitute the limitations for its use. The influence of inoculation, pouring temperature, coating thickness and chill plate on chilled depth was investigated. Taguchi design-of-experiments (DOE) are used for generating an optimal set of casting parameters to obtain a satisfactory chilled depth.
