Results of the investment appeal analysis of the Kazan city from 2003 for 2013 are presented in article. Within this research authors leaned both on quantitative indices of investment appeal, and on qualitative characteristics. For the investment appeal analysis of the Kazan city the technique of the factorial analysis and ranging was chosen. In addition, the method of mathematical correlation was applied to detecting dependence between indicators. As initial information for carrying out the investment appeal analysis indicators of development of the Kazan city from 2003 to 2013 published in statistical collections were used. The investment appeal analysis included assessment of 9 factors, and investment risks paid off on the basis of 12 factors.By results of the conducted research it is possible to draw a conclusion that the largest investment potential was revealed in 2013 and the smallest in 2003 while the greatest investment risk was revealed in 2009, and the smallest in 2013. Following the results of calculations the maximum integrated indicator was received in 2013 - 94,34888, minimum in 2003 - 34,58387High level of a consumer price index, low level of the average salary, the low level of the population occupied in small and medium business remain problem areas in Kazan, but It should be noted that work in this direction is conducted also rather active.

As a result, the regression analysis has statistically revealed a significant association between the indicators of small business development and the performance of the VFD.

As a result of regression analysis, a statistically significant association between indicators of small entrepreneurship and development of the Central Federal District is revealed.

In this study, we investigate the correlation of migration level and city attractiveness (by the example of millionaire cities of Russia). The investigation is based on the hypothesis that the higher rate of balance of migration indicates a higher level of attractiveness of the city for its residents. To verify the suggested assumption the research was conducted which was based on correlation analysis of amount of balance of migration and activities of attractiveness of the city. This method allowed to reveal the interrelation of the given characteristics of the territory. Then, we ranked the cities in the level of their socio-economic attractiveness.

© Medwell Journals, 2016.In this study, we examine the conditions and dynamics of manufacturing industries as an important part of an overall mechanism of industrial development. Based on a proposed system of indicators, we rank manufacturing industries in 81 regions of Russia according to their development level during the period between 2006 and 2013. The study applies a ranking technique based on data analysis that constructs an integrated index measuring the development levels of the manufacturing industries (Index). The technique ranks the regions in the descending order of the integrated index. The analysis suggests for the presence of significant disparities in the geographical distribution of the Russian industrial potential. This is largely due to the sole use of naturally existing growth drivers and the low efficiency of government regulation and support measures in developing the country's manufacturing industry.

To date, one of the main problems for the Russian regions is to attract investments that significantly affect supporting, functioning and dynamic development of regions. At the same time, the most important prerequisite of this process is creation of a favorable investment climate. The article presents an analysis of the investment climate in 60 regions of the Russian Federation on the basis of an assessment of the investment potential and investment risk in the period from 2010 to 2013. The choice of indicators was considerably influenced by the availability of statistics for the analyzed period for all regions of the Russian Federation, as their use helps to get a more objective data and expands the opportunities for inter-regional comparisons. Sub-aggregate indices are calculated and regions-leaders and "outsiders"-are identified for each estimated parameter. The study showed that there is no one region which would hold the first place in all investment potential blocks. However, it is possible to select the Moscow region which took a leading or second place by its investigated indicators. Thus, we can say that the Moscow region has the best investment potential among the regions studied. Evaluation of sub-aggregate indices by investment risks has shown that there are regions-leaders and regions-"outsiders" in each block. At the final stage of the study, the studied regions were divided into 4 groups based on the relationship of investment potential and investment risk in the regions in the period from 2010 to 2013: • 1st group-regions with high investment potential and a low level of investment risk; • 2nd group-regions with high investment potential and a high level of investment risks; • 3rd group-regions with low investment potential and a low level of investment risk; • 4th group-regions with low investment potential and a high level of investment risk. Analysis of the dynamics for 4 years showed that only 6 of those 60 regions changed their position in relation to the groups and, basically, it was a negative dynamics: either investment risks increased, or investment potential of regions decreased.

Article is devoted to processes of management of a brand of the million-plus cities of Russia on the basis of the analysis of indicators of popularity of the cities for increase of their popularity. The analysis of positioning of the cities by external mass media in comparison to perception of the city it consumers is carried out. As a result of the analysis conclusions are drawn on success of a municipal government in different spheres of development of each million-plus city of Russia and recommendations about elimination of their weaknesses are made.

The hypothesis, that the cities which are developed in socio-economic balance are more attractive and more competitive, is taken as a base of the research. The article classifies the cities according to their level of balance and evaluates the rate of Russian cities with population over a million.

Evaluation of the investment potential of various regions of Russia is an important tool to determine the quality and effectiveness of management areas. The attractiveness of the region for investors is one of the key factors of territorial development. One of the most important tasks of the state and regional authorities is to counter the outflow of capital abroad and the creation of a favorable investment environment. The level of investment is one of the key indicators used by national authorities to assess the quality of regional governance. Integrated assessment of the investment potential of the regions of the Volga Federal District of the Russian Federation have been allocated seven subspecies potentials within each of them have been identified particular indicator.

This paper presents the results of economic, social and environmental consequences for the development of the city of Kazan and Tatarstan. Assessment of impacts is given in an integrated form, with the conclusions of the contradictory effects for the different areas of the city and the region.

The situation in three biggest Volga Federal Region cities (Kazan, Samara and Nizhniy Novgorod) has been analyzed. Recommendations on how to implement the "smart city" concept in other Russia's cities are made.

This article presents the impact analysis of investment attractiveness of the Republic of Tatarstan on fixed investments of eight national leading companies. The authors have developed the impact assessment methodology. Using correlation and regression analysis, the authors revealed a statistically significant dependences and character of the relationship between the regressors and the dependent variable. The obtained results allow one to range the investment attractiveness of Tatarstan according to their impact on fixed investments of the leading national companies and offer recommendations to improve the investment attractiveness of the Republic of Tatarstan for balanced territorial development. © IDOSI Publications, 2013.
