Abstract

Eating low amounts of healthy foods leads to high rates of diet-related diseases. How can we control and reduce the increase in these diseases? One of the recommendations is to improve nutritional competence, which means greater health consciousness. The objective of the present study is to determine the influence of health consciousness on the dimensions of perceived value and their impact on the willingness to consume foods from a healthy brand. Through a non-experimental, cross-sectional, and explanatory study, the responses of 518 participants (men and women) who confirmed being consumers of the healthy brands of food were analyzed. The study included adults aged from 18 to 58 years recruited using non-probability sampling. Data was collected using a self-report form and statistically analyzed using Smart PLS. The findings support that health awareness positively and significantly influences perceived quality value, perceived financial value, perceived social value, and perceived emotional value; contrary to this, it was detected that the perceived financial value does not influence the willingness to consume foods from healthy brands. This study contributes significantly to health science by showing how the theory of perceived value predicts the intention to consume healthy brands, with health consciousness intervening in this prediction. Therefore, it is concluded that the study population that consumes healthy foods has experienced the positive impact of perceived value and reports that the factors that comprise it influence their intention to consume healthy foods.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the level of compliance of the strategic plan through the REDER evaluation system of a private confessional institution, from 2017-2019. The methodology used is descriptive, non-experimental, cross-sectional, and elaborated under a quantitative approach. When interpreting the results statistically, the SPSS 24 Software was used for descriptive analysis of frequency and cross-tabulations. An instrument of 26 items was applied, divided into 5 dimensions, which was administered to a population of 45 people in the administration. It was found that 40% of the total study population perceives very high and notable levels of compliance; however, 35.6% registered non-compliance with these parameters. It is concluded that the level of compliance with the strategic plan through the REDER evaluation system is below the average standards; which translates to a point of improvement in regards to the patterns of a strategic plan. Este art?culo tiene el objetivo de describir el nivel de cumplimiento del plan estrat?gico a trav?s del sistema de evaluaci?n REDER de una instituci?n privada confesional, 2017-2019. La metodolog?a utilizada es descriptiva, de dise?o no experimental, de corte trasversal, elaborada bajo un enfoque cuantitativo. Al interpretar estad?sticamente los resultados se emple? el Software SPSS 24 para an?lisis descriptivo de frecuencia y de tablas cruzadas. Se aplic? un instrumento de 26 reactivos, dividido en 5 dimensiones, el cual fue administrado a una poblaci?n de 45 personas de la administraci?n. Se pudo comprobar que el 40% del total de la poblaci?n de estudio, percibe niveles muy altos y notables de cumplimiento; sin embargo, el 35.6% consideraba el no cumplimiento de estos par?metros. Se concluye que el nivel de cumplimiento del plan estrat?gico a trav?s del sistema de evaluaci?n REDER, se ubica por debajo de los est?ndares medios; lo cual se traduce como un punto de mejora en lo que refiere a los patrones de un plan estrat?gico.
