Objective To document general baseline data on the patterns of childhood adrenal tumors. Design, setting, and participants This is a retrospective analysis of 10 cases of pediatric adrenal tumors (age group 0–12 years) in surgical pathology encountered over a period of 5 years. Results In the adrenal gland, adrenal medullary tumors were more common than adrenal cortex with neuroblastoma as common individual tumor. Two were tumors of adrenal cortex and 8 were of adrenal medulla with ratio of medullary to cortical adrenal neoplasms as 4:1. Conclusion Different types of tumors were seen in the adrenal gland. A high index of suspicion should be maintained with an aim of surgical treatment. Histological type is important for understanding etiology and progression of disease.

Objective: To document general baseline data on the patterns of childhood genitourinary tu- mors. Design, Setting and Participants: This is a retrospective analysis of 28 cases of pediatric geni- tourinary tumors (Age group 0-12 years) in surgical pathology in a tertiary care hospital en- countered over a period of 5 years. Results: In the genitourinary system tumors of the kidney, bladder, prostate, testis, and adrenal were included. A total of 3149 pediatric surgical specimen presented over a five years. Of this, 28 were diagnosed with genitourinary tumors. In the renal tumors only Wilm's tumors (WTs) (9 cases) was seen, with classical triphasic tumors were more common. The mean age of presenta- tion is 3 year with commonest age group of presentation (8 cases out of 9) in the age group 1-5 years. Three of them had showed unfavorable histology. Among the gonadal germ cell tumors, there were noted four mature teratoma, one immature teratoma, two yolk sac tumors of ovary & one yolk sac tumour in testis was seen. In the adrenal gland, adrenal medullary tumors were more common than adrenal cortex with neuroblastoma (4 of 10 cases) as common individual tumor. Conclusion: Different types of genitourinary tumors seen in the childhood. A high index of suspicion should be maintained with an aim of surgical treatment to avoid the poor manage- ment. Histological type is important for understanding etiology and progression of disease. The likelihood of a given type of tumor being present in a particular age or sex group or particular site may heighten the index of suspicion and ultimately influences etiology, biology, and natural history, relative incidence and distribution frequency, clinical presentation and manifestations, and response to therapy and outcome."

Kuttner's tumor or chronic sclerosing sialadenitis although described more than a century ago, is relatively rare in occurrence. It is a chronic inflammatory condition affecting the salivary gland. This condition is benign, but presents as hard, indurated and enlarged masses that are clinically indistinguishable from salivary gland neoplasms or tumors. It is usually diagnosed by histopathologist when the lesion is surgically biopsied to confirm clinical diagnosis of malignancy. We present a case of a young 26 years old, female patient with chronic sclerosing sialadenitis otherwise known as Kuttner tumor in order to raise awareness of this interesting and not well-known entity.

Fine-needle aspiration biopsy has been routinely used for the diagnosis and management of palpable breast lesions. Colloid carcinoma (pure mucinous carcinoma) is an uncommon variant of breast carcinoma with distinctive cytological and histological features. Although the cytologic features of mucinous carcinoma of the breast in fine-needle aspiration specimens are characteristic, the correlation of these features with the ability of cytologists to definitively identify this tumor has not been well studied. Here, we report a 78-year-old female patient diagnosed on cytology as mucinous carcinoma of the breast and subsequently confirmed by histopathology.

Hematocele of the spermatic cord is seen rarely. Recently, we have encountered a case of a 71-year-old male, who suddenly had a painful swelling in the left inguinal region and it was diagnosed as hematocele of the spermatic cord. Preoperative diagnosis is not common; it mimics a tumor and is usually present as operative or histological surprises.
