Skin is the largest organ of the body it protects us from several kinds of environmental hazards and also works as a connective unit between environment and individual. Skin can react in several ways against emotional factors. Alopecia areata and vitiligo are such diseases which effect individuals and their social environments. Vitiligo is a depigmented disorder where complete loss of melanocytes takes place. There are six major factors which define aetiology of vitiligo. Present study is an endeavour to establish a treatment which can change the painful allopathic treatment process of UV exposure, which results in post treatment hazards such as psores, inflammation, and pain. In the present study C57/BL6 mice were selected. The groups are divided in protocol 1; control, toxicant a and toxicant b, protocol 2; 100 mg/kg b.w, 200 mg/kg b.w and 300 mg/kg b.w of ethanolic extract of Psoraleya corylifolia. Linn seeds, and 100 mg/kg b.w, 200 mg/kg b.w and 300 mg/kg b.w of petrolium ether extract of Psoraleya corylifolia. Linn seeds. Topically applied groups of Psoraleya corylifolia Linn. seed oil for 3 weeks, 5 weeks and 7 weeks. The last group was petrolium ether 100 mg/kg b.w+ seed oil topically applied for 5 weeks. Further SOD (superoxide dis mutase), GSH (reduced glutathione), GPx (glutathione per oxidase), MDA (Malone di aldehyde), vitamin E were estimated on the depigmented skin samples. The study concluded that petrolium ether 100 mg/kg b.w showed better results for SOD and MDA, while for GSH and vitamin E ethanolic extract 300 mg/kg b.w showed better results in comparisons to the earlier one. The study successfully justified the hypothesis and the animals were relaxed during the study.

Water is an essential element for the survival of all living creatures on earth. No life is possible without water. Drinking water is quite essential, similarly, proper drinking manners are significant in maintaining health. In the present study, we recommend a specific shape of drinking water utensil as an essential and influencing factor for human health. The shape of the drinking water utensil should be a curved surface, rather than a plain cylindrical water bottle, we recommend the old Indian Lotay for the best drinking water utensil. To support our hypothesis we conducted a questionnaire-based double-blind study based on STORB guidelines. The study was conducted on 400 people from different circumstantial and age groups, based on 16 questions. We found that the people drinking directly with the modern day plastic water bottles are more prone to the digestive issues such as indigestion, acidity, and gastritis. Hence we strongly oppose the existing water bottle shape (cylindrical with a narrow neck) for drinking, because it physiologically harms the human health

This study is a review and a cumulative piece of work on Pt- and Au-based nanoparticles and H2 blockers drugs. It has been studied that Pt- and Au-based nanoparticles are used more often in different biomedical applications. Nanoparticles based on these two metals are highly biocompatible and can be used for the diagnosis of various diseases through in vitro imaging, tissue engineering, and drug delivery. The compatibility of Pt- and Au-based nanoparticles is increased using polymer-nanocomposite hybrids, which can participate in delivering a large number of drugs to modulate and improve the biodistribution and uptake of drugs on the cellular level. Another part of this review focuses on H2 blocker drugs. These drugs are specific classes for the suppression of gastric juice or acids under different gastrointestinal conditions. Famotidine has also been reported as a marker drug for COVID-19 patients. This review provides cumulative information on H2 blocker drugs and nanoparticles in single articles and specifies their role in different treatments associated with different types of cancers, gastrointestinal disorders, and COVID-19.

Lymphoma, a common malignancy of liver called as primary lymphoma of liver or primary hepatic lymphoma (PHL). It’s an unusual form of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma having symptoms such as hepatomegaly and signs of cholestatic jaundice. With appropriate treatment this hepatic lymphoma have relatively good prognosis. We report a case of 40 years old male with abdominal lump in epigastric region, having constant weight loss from one month and past fever history. Blood estimation leucocytosis were found with mild elevation in hepatic enzymes, on (fine needle aspiration cytology) FNAC lesions were seen in liver. Immunohistochemical examination showed high grade non-Hodgkin’s B cell lymphoma. The radiographic and sonographic examinations were done. On diagnosis secondary metabolites of liver, systemic lymphoma with secondary involvement of liver and hepato-cellular carcinoma were seen. The patient responded for the chemotherapy and is still on follow-up.

A new chiral nano heterobimetallic Co–Sn and Zn–Sn complexes were designed and thoroughly characterized by various spectroscopic viz 1 H, 13 C, 119 Sn NMR, ESI-MS, magnetic moment, analytical and visualization techniques. The electronic absorption and spectroscopic data reveal that the Co(II) ion exhibits a square pyramidal geometry. 119 Sn NMR spectral data and powered XRD measurements support the hexa-coordinated geometry of the Sn(IV) atom. The binding studies of the heterobimetallic Co–Sn complex with CT-DNA were carried out by using various biophysical techniques viz UV–vis absorption, emission spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetric measurements, recommended predominantly electrostatic mode of interaction of the complex with CT-DNA. The gel electrophoretic patterns of supercoiled pBR322 DNA with varying concentration of the Co–Sn complex exhibit an ability to cleave DNA and follow hydrolytic pathway mechanism. Furthermore, the application of chiral nano heterobimetallic Co–Sn complex as DNA gene transporter was evaluated by DNA condensation and ascertained by employing the visualization techniques i.e. TEM and AFM, which illustrated that the Co–Sn complex induces the condensation of CT-DNA to a particulate nanostructure.

A new chiral ligand scaffold L derived from (R)-2-amino-2-phenyl ethanol and diethyl oxalate was isolated and thoroughly characterized by various spectroscopic methods. The ligand L was allowed to react with CuCl(2)·2H(2)O and NiCl(2)·6H(2)O to achieve monometallic complexes 1 and 2, respectively. Subsequently modulation of 1 and 2 was carried out in the presence of SnCl(4)·5H(2)O to obtain heterobimetallic potential drug candidates 3 and 4 possessing (Cu(II)/Sn(IV) and Ni(II)/Sn(IV)) metallic cores, respectively and characterized by elemental analysis and spectroscopic data including (1)H, (13)C and (119)Sn NMR in case of 3 and 4. In vitro DNA binding studies revealed that complex 3 avidly binds to DNA as quantified by K(b) and K(sv) values. Complex 3 exhibits a remarkable DNA cleavage activity (concentration dependent) with pBR322 DNA and the cleavage activity of 3 was significantly enhanced in the presence of activators and follows the order H(2)O(2)>Asc>MPA>GSH. Complex 3 cleave pBR322 DNA via hydrolytic pathway and accessible to major groove of DNA.

N,N-bis[(R-/S-)-1-benzyl-2-ethoxyethane] tin (IV) complexes were synthesized by applying de novo design strategy by the condensation reaction of (R-/S-)2-amino-2-phenylethanol and dibromoethane in presence of dimethyltin dichloride and thoroughly characterized by elemental analysis, conductivity measurements, IR, ESI-MS, 1H, 13C and 119Sn, multinuclear NMR spectroscopy and XRD study. Enantioselective and specific binding profile of R-enantiomer 1 in comparison to S-enantiomer 2 with ultimate molecular target CT-DNA was validated by UV–visible, fluorescence, circular dichroism, 1H and 31P NMR techniques. This was further corroborated well by interaction of 1 and 2 with 5′-GMP.

To evaluate the biological preference of chiral drug candidates for molecular target DNA, new potential metal-based chemotherapeutic agents 1, 1a, 1b, 2, 2a, 2b, 3, 3a, 3b of late 3d transition metals Ni(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II), respectively, derived from (R)- and (S)-2-amino-2-phenylethanol with CH2CH2 linker were synthesized and thoroughly characterized. Interaction studies of 1, 1a, 1b, 2, 2a, 2b, 3, 3a, 3b with calf thymus DNA in Tris buffer were studied by electronic absorption titrations, luminescence titrations, cyclic voltammetry, and circular dichroism. The results reveal that the extent of DNA binding of R-enantiomer of copper 1a was highest in comparison to rest of the complexes via electrostatic interaction mode. The nuclease activity of 1a, 1b with supercoiled pBR322 DNA was further examined by gel electrophoresis, which reveals that complex 1a exhibits a remarkable DNA cleavage activity (concentration dependent) with pBR322DNA, and the cleavage activity of both enantiomers of complex 1 was significantly enhanced in the presence of activators. The activating efficiency follows the order Asc > H2O2 > MPA for 1a, and reverse order was observed for 1b, because of the differences in enantioselectivity and conformation. Further, it was observed that cleavage reaction involves singlet oxygen species and superoxide radicals via oxidative cleavage mechanism. In addition, complex 1a exhibits significant inhibitory effects on the topoisomerase II (topo II) activity at a very low concentration ∼24 μM, which suggest that complex 1a is indeed catalytic inhibitor or (poison) of human topo II. A new nano dimensional heterobimetallic Cu-Sn containing complex as a potential drug candidate was designed, synthesized and characterized by analytical and spectral methods. The electronic absorption and electron paramagnetic resonance parameters of the complex revealed that the Cu(II) ion exhibits a square pyramidal geometry with the two pyrazole nitrogen atoms, the amine nitrogen atom and the carboxylate oxygen of the phenyl glycine chloride ligand located at the equatorial sites and the coordinated chloride ion occupying an apical position. (119)Sn NMR spectral data showed a hexa-coordinated environment around the Sn(IV) metal ion. TEM, AFM and XRD measurements illustrate that the complex could induce the condensation of CT-DNA to a particulate nanostructure. The interaction of the Cu-Sn complex with CT-DNA was investigated by UV-vis absorption and emission spectroscopy, as well as cyclic voltammetric measurements. The results indicated that the complex interacts with DNA through an electrostatic mode of binding with an intrinsic binding constant K(b) = 8.42 x 10(4) M( - 1). The Cu-Sn complex exhibits effective cleavage of pBR322 plasmid DNA by an oxidative cleavage mechanism, monitored at different concentrations both in the absence and in the presence of reducing agents.
