LED-based street light has gained more popularity in these recent years. This type of lighting has been proven to have a longer lifetime and is more efficient compared with high-pressure sodium street lights. To ensure the road safety aspect in the utilization of LED street lights, accurate measurement of its luminous flux levels is mandatory. In this work, the accurate measurement for the luminous flux of the street light uses a type-C goniophotometer. The measurement uncertainty associated with the luminous flux of the street light is evaluated from the influence of uncertainty components. The uncertainty is commonly estimated with the GUM method and involves a good understanding of complex mathematical modeling. In this research, the Monte Carlo method is proposed to reduce the complexity of the uncertainty evaluation in the luminous flux measurement of the LED street lights. The uncertainty evaluation is described, and the results are compared with the GUM method. Blood pressure monitoring is essential for treatment of patient with hypertension and hypotension symptom. However, the displayed systolic, diastolic, and the pulse rate are often written manually by the patient at home or nurse and doctor during their visit to the patient at the hospital. This paper discusses the development of Non-Invasive Blood Pressure (NIBP) device reading system with the use of ESP32-CAM and YOLOv5 (You Only Look Once) algorithm for NIBP digit recognition. For the development of the model, datasets consist of 431 images of NIBP device reading were split and used for training (392 images) and validation (39 images). The label of each digit from digit class 0 until digit class 9 were annotated with the use of Roboflow website and trained by using Python programming language in Google Colab platform. The result shows that the YOLOv5 model could recognize all the displayed digits in the NIBP device testdataset with mean average precision of 99,5%, precision 99,5%, and recall 99,6% from 39 validation images in which consists of total 245 labels for all digits from 0 to 9. Comparison results with the traditional OCR method shows that the trained YOLOv5 model has obtained 100% detection accuracy, while the OCR method obtained 73.06% for the same NIBP digit test dataset. The result also shows that the proposed system can be integrated with Internet of Things (IoT) technology to conduct automatic data acquisition and cloud monitoring of blood pressure data with ThingsBoard IoT platform. Automated alarm system with IoT system can also be created to notify the hospital by email, in order to requestambulance delivery immediately to the patient's house if the blood pressure value of the patient is critical. A real-time weighing of trains using rail weighbridges (RW) is required for safety reasons. Therefore, RW performance is critical and can be obtained from the calibration result. A study on the feasibility of more efficient rail weighbridges calibration method using force transducers has been carried out. The purpose is to overcome the difficulty of using a big capacity of reference dead weight in the location of rail-weighbridges as in the conventional method. A traceable force transducer with a relative standard uncertainty of 0.02 % (according to the ISO 376 calibration method) is used for the study cases. The calibration is carried out by comparing the weight measurement of the loader (wagon and masses load) using rail-weighbridges (as the unit under test) and force transducers (as the reference) in static mode. The uncertainty evaluation of the acceleration of gravity and air buoyancy at the location is around 50 ppm. Based on the simulation using typical data, the calculation result meets the relative expanded uncertainty is 0.32 %. These results indicate that the method complies with the technical requirements of OIML R 106-1 class 2 and practically be easier. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

A study on the traceability of force measurements in calibration laboratories in Indonesia has been carried out. The data was collected from Indonesian National Accreditation Committee (KAN) database, according to the Calibration Measurement Capability (CMC) list for force measurements from accredited calibration laboratories until October 2020. The study started from the CMC SNSU-BSN and continued to the CMC of each accredited calibration laboratory to seek traceability. The results showed that all accredited laboratories have traceability to SNSU-BSN, either directly connected or through one or two calibration laboratories. Because each laboratory has a different expression on their CMCs, this creates different perceptions of CMC. Based on this traceability analysis, it is possible to recommend the best way to express CMC or even standardize it, mainly on force measurements. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The automated Ambu-bag ventilator (AAV) is a type of simple respiratory equipment that is getting a lot of attention, especially during the latest COVID-19 pandemic. In order to avoid lung injury, the pressure character of the AAV needs to be known in advance. Therefore, a proper driving control strategy could be planned properly. This paper describes pressure character generated by pinch-type self-developed AAV prototype under several stepper motor movement strategies. The pressure generated by the device was measured by 16-bit data acquisition equipment which was then calibrated with the pneumatic pressure reference standard used in the Laboratory of "Standar Nasional Satuan Ukuran-Badan Standardisasi Nasional" (SNSU-BSN). Results show that the 1/4 step gives the least pressure vibration compared with the full-step and half-step modes. The linear movement profile of the actuator gives the most appropriate compression profile compared to other movement profiles such as logarithmic or ramp. The AAV has also been tested to service for a simulated patient condition: high airway resistance and smaller compliance. It results in higher airway pressure and peak pressure near 40 cmH2O, which indicates the risk of overpressure that can damage the lung. Humidity can be expressed by relative humidity and dewpoint temperature. An important parameter for determining both relative humidity and dewpoint temperature is saturation water vapor pressure where the newest formulation can be derived using grand canonical ensemble. Comparison with the empirical equation is carried out to obtain its accuracy and uncertainty when it is applied to measuring humidity. The humidity measurements are carried out using a humidity generator in the range of 30%RH∼95%RH at temperatures of 5 °C, 23 °C, 50 °C, and 15% RH∼90 %RH at 65 °C. As the result, the formulation has relative uncertainty 0.1 % in the range -12 °C to 50 °C of dewpoint temperature. Its contribution to the relative humidity measurement uncertainty can be approximated by linear equation while a polynomial equation is suited for describing its contribution to the dewpoint temperature measurement uncertainty.
