Transition metal sulfides have become famous in high energy density supercapacitor materials owing to their rich redox and high conductivity. While their development has achieved a breakthrough in terms of capacitance, there is little knowledge from the theoretical perspective on how dopants play a role in enhancing their capacitances. In this work, pseudocapacitance and quantum capacitance were evaluated through first-principles calculation to describe their role in transition metal sulfide, which here is represented by copper sulfide (CuS). The resulting quantum capacitance (CQ) was calculated in both the bulk and surface of CuS to determine which structure has a greater effect on the capacitance of the system. It was observed that the dopant increased CQ in the bulk system, which is different from the CQ of surface structures. Meanwhile, K+ ions were introduced on the surface structure to calculate transfer charge and work function shift, thus determining pseudocapacitance. All dopant types were able to increase the pseudocapacitance value, with Fe doping showing the highest capacitance of 111 F g−1, which is higher than that of the pristine structure (47 F g−1). The role of the dopant is discussed in detail in this work. Our results suggest that the increased capacitance of doped TMS materials was originated not only from the geometrical perspective but also from the higher pseudocapacitance value. Quantum capacitance, alternatively, could also contribute to the system when the dopant occurs in the bulk rather than only in the surface structure. Pediculosis capitis infestation is caused by Pediculus humanus capitis louse. The prevalence of the disease is still quite high in Indonesia. This disease can cause a variety of problems, from reduced self-esteem, negative social stigma, lack of quality sleep and learning disorders. The study aimed to determine the prevalence and determinants factors that influence the behavior of people with pediculosis capitis in orphanage Kemuning. The cross-sectional design were sampled whole orphanages in the three subdistrict. The respondents were interviewed and examined with pediculosis using a lice comb and a magnifying glass. Later, parasites were storage into bottles containing 70% alcohol. Results showed the prevalence of pediculosis capitis 62% (36 respondents). The highest category was in the age 11-16 years (50.9%); female (60%) and elementary education (54.5%). Based on the illness practice (100%) of the respondents had a bad illness behavior. There is no relationship of age, gender, education, and perception of illness behavior. Further research should proceed on best practice toward disease.

Filariasis is caused by microfilariae parasites transmitted through mosquitoes, one of which is Mansonia spp. Environmental characteristics are crucial component for vector control in handling filariasis because they indicate mosquitoes’ range of survival. This study aimed to determine the environmental characteristics in the abundance of Mansonia spp. This study was conducted in two lowland areas located in Sedang and Muara Sugih Village, Indonesia, April 2017-April 2018. Environmental characteristics were determined by thermometers and sling hygrometers, and sampling for physical and chemical properties of water. Sedang Village had larger quantity of Mansonia spp variances compared to Muara Sugih, with 6 species and 5 species found respectively. Muara Sugih was slightly higher in temperature and humidity. Sedang water had higher turbidity, higher temperature, higher pH, lower BOD-COD, lower TDS-TSS, with higher coliform counts. Sedang dominant land utilization was plantations, while Muara Sugih was rice field. The dominant aquatic plant in Sedang was Pistia stratiotes and Muara Sugih was Oryza sativa. Differences in temperature, humidity, water parameters, aquatic plants, and land utilization factors resulted in discrepancy of Mansonia spp abundance.

Scabies is a skin disease caused by infestation and sensitization towards Sarcoptes scabiei. It occurs easily in moist and densely-populated vicinities. This research was conducted to analyze the relationship between residential density and personal characteristics towards the incidences of scabies among students of boarding school Raudatul Ulum and Mustaqimus Sunnah, South Sumatra. This research was an epidemiological method using cross-sectional analytic approach, conducted in July 2018. The populations were all students of boarding school and the samples selected were 93 respondents with proportional random sampling. The measuring instruments were cardinal scabies physical diagnostic and questionnaire of demographic interviewing. Obtained results were then analyzed with Chi-Square, Logistic Regression Statistical Tests, and correspondence analysis. The result of scabies prevalence was 59,6% and 56,5% respectively. Logistic Regression testing result yielded the free variable bearing the most dominant influence towards scabies incidence, which was the residential density (OR: 5.850 95% CI: 2.369-14.445). The significant relationship towards the occurrence of scabies should be further investigated in order to prepare for elimination programs.

Mosquitoes are vectors of several diseases for humans. To eradicate mosquitoes, information regarding breeding place of mosquito larva along with the knowledge and role of cleaning service are required. This study was aimed to identify water container as breeding sites for mosquitoes and as well as to discover knowledge, attitude and practice of cleaning service in relation to mosquitoes eradication at Pascasarjana Unsri. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach. The samples were all mosquito larva taken from the water containers. The Informants were taken with quota sampling and the information was obtained by in-depth interviews. Of the 108 containers, 30 (27.78%) indoor containers entirely contain clear water and meanwhile in 78 (72.22%) outdoor containers, 13 containers contain turbid water and 65 containers contain clear water. There were 431 mosquito larva found in five indoor containers (60 larva) and 26 outdoor containers (431 larva). Larva Free Rate (LFR) was 83.33%, House Index (HI) 16.67%, Container Index (CI) 28.70%, and the Breteau Index (BI) 41.67%. The species of mosquitoes found were Aedes aegypti, Aedes albopictus and Culex. Cleaning services have a good knowledge and attitude about mosquito breeding and practice in eradicating mosquitoes according their responsibility as cleaning service.

Background and Aim: The number of COVID-19 cases surging despite the large scale of health promotion campaigns. This study aimed to find disease transmissibility and affected vaccine efficacy associated with the mutation of the SARS-CoV-2 variant of concern., Methods: The study was a descriptive temporal survey design with secondary ecological data: the whole-genome sequence (WGS) from the Global Initiative on Sharing Avian Influenza (GISAID) and COVID-19 data from the Palembang City Health Office website. Bioinformatics software was used to detect mutations., Results: Palembang submitted 43 whole genome sequences, 13 of which were Pangoline sequences classifications., Conclusions: The two concern variations, Alpha and Delta, were associated with increased transmissions and decreased vaccination efficacy using temporal analysis. Regulations governing the relaxation of mobility restrictions should be based on high rates of testing and tracing, and universal vaccination programs should require that all received two doses of any vaccines as fast as possible.
