Lecanemab-irmb (Leqembi™) is an amyloid betadirected antibody indicated for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease (AD). AD is an irreversible and progressive neurodegenerative disorder affecting more than 6.5 million Americans 65 years of age and older and it is projected to rise to 14 million by 2060. As the disease progresses, it deteriorates short-term memory and thinking skills and, eventually, the ability to perform simple tasks of daily living.
