Abstract

Administration of a CD154-specific monoclonal antibody (hu5C8) has been found in a study using nonhuman primates to allow for allotransplantation of kidneys in outbred, MHC-mismatched rhesus monkeys without acute rejection. Therapy with antibody against CD154 is a promising approach for use in human allotransplantation.
