[ES] El proyecto “Análisis web sobre la situación de la cartografía urbanística en las administraciones locales valencianas” consiste en analizar y comparar la situación de la cartografía de los planeamientos urbanísticos de los municipios de todo el territorio valenciano. Para ello, se tiene en cuenta unos objetivos principales:  Analizar la información web de las áreas de urbanismo de los distintos ayuntamientos y si existen visores cartográficos, vinculación a otras páginas web como por ejemplo SEC (Sede Electrónica de Catastro), PIC (Punto de Información Catastral), etc.. con el fin de valorar la cartografía.  Analizar si se muestra información sobre la aprobación o tramitación de planes urbanísticos.  Especificar si el planeamiento digitalizado se puede descargar en varios formatos, tales como DXF, SHP, GML, o similar.  Analizar los geoportales de Infraestructura de Datos Espaciales de los municipios, cuya finalidad es ofrecer información urbanística.  Inclusión de toda la información en una base de datos estructurada, generada para permitir posteriormente su análisis mediante el cálculo de estadísticas y gráficas.  Publicar los datos en un geoportal, cuyo objetivo sería permitir el acceso a los ciudadanos a esta información de forma fácil y rápida. En este proyecto se realiza un estudio inicial de la cartografía del planeamiento urbanístico a través de las páginas web y los visores cartográficos. El objetivo es planificar el diseño de la base de datos. La base de datos espacial de la cartografía urbanística se crea a través de los programas “PostgreSQL” y “PostGIS”. To do so, it takes into account some main objectives:  Analyze the web information of the urban planning areas of the different municipalities and if there are map viewers, links to other web pages such as EHC (Electronic Headquarters of the Cadastre), CIP (Cadastral Information Point), etc., to evaluate the cartography.  Analyze whether information on the approval or processing of urban plans is displayed.  Specify whether the digitized planning can be downloaded in various formats, such as DXF, SHP, GML or similar.  Analyze the Spatial Data Infrastructure geoportals of the municipalities, whose purpose is to offer urbanistic information.  Inclusion of all the information in a structured database, generated to allow its subsequent analysis by calculating statistics and graphs.  Publish the data in a geoportal, whose objective would be to allow citizens to access this information easily and quickly. In this project an initial study of urbanistic cartography is carried out through web pages and cartographic viewers. The objectiv is to plan the design of the database. The Alpine Convention (AC) promotes research, cooperation and monitoring activities in the Alpine Region. In this framework, the AC Atlas is the official content management system for geographical data published by the Alpine Convention. The AC Atlas' final goal is to promote, collect, organise and disseminate the results of research activities carried out by the Alpine Convention, its Working Groups and by European projects in the Alpine Region. The system is based on the open-source GeoNode platform supporting standard OGC services. Hence, the AlpConv Atlas allows for browsing, searching, editing documents, layers, maps, and related metadata by an intuitive web-based graphical user interface. The AC Atlas is finally a collaborative platform for managing various geographical data and the related documentation, which can be of great interest to several stakeholders.

[ES] El presente proyecto consiste en el diseño de una cartografía digital a partir de un levantamiento topográfico utilizando la tecnología GNSS en RTK con solución de red VRS, la cual hace referencia a una parcela ubicada en una zona urbanizada llamada "El Realón" cercana a la localidad de Picassent (Valencia), y además la publicación de la cartografía con GeoNode, en forma de mapa, y como servicios IDE WMS y WFS

Gli obiettivi di sviluppo sostenibile (SDG) al 2030 dell’Organizzazione delle Nazioni Unite, in particolare le azioni per contrastare il cambiamento climatico, promuovere la sostenibilità ambientale e sociale e l’efficienza energetica, l’importanza del contesto internazionale in questo ambizioso programma, conducono molte università a realizzare studi sulla propria impronta ecologica (o carbonica), mettendo in campo possibili meccanismi di mitigazione e compensazione ecologica ed economica. L’Università di Padova (UNIPD) è da sempre attenta a questi temi e a trovare soluzioni per incrementare la propria sostenibilità, priorità menzionate nello statuto universitario e che trovano applicazione anche con l’adesione all’Higher Education Sustainability Initiative e al ranking internazionale GreenMetric. Per proseguire su questa strada, è importante che l’Università di Padova, assieme agli altri atenei ed in un’ottica internazionale, incrementi e consolidi la ricerca applicata e si doti di strumenti per definire meglio le proprie pressioni sull’ambiente e gli ecosistemi, elaborando soluzioni con migliori performance ambientali. Tra le iniziative messe in campo da UNIPD, nel 2019 è stato dato avvio al progetto di ricerca UniTreePD che mira a mappare e quantificare il verde universitario erbaceo e arboreo/arbustivo e alcuni servizi ecosistemici da esso forniti, attraverso strumenti di GIS-RS e di GIS partecipativo. Le attività principali consistono nella definizione spaziale delle aree universitarie, la mappatura e quantificazione del verde presente attraverso l’analisi delle ortofoto fornite dalla regione Veneto e l’uso di indici vegetazionali, la mappatura partecipata, attraverso geo-app opensource, del verde arboreo di due aree campione, la quantificazione biofisica e socio-economica di alcuni servizi ecosistemici quale lo stoccaggio e sequestro di carbonio e la costruzione di un geodatabase e webGIS di progetto in ambiente opensource. Il presente contributo vuole evidenziare le possibilità date dall’opensource in questo tipo di ricerche geografiche in ambito universitario, per raccogliere, elaborare, gestire e condividere dati spaziali, in questo caso relativi alle aree verdi. In particolare verrà presentata la fase di creazione del progetto e la raccolta dati sulle essenze arboree e arbustive nelle aree del complesso Vallisneri e del campus Agripolis, utilizzando l’app QField assieme ad altri strumenti e app proprie della Citizen Science, quali PlantNet per la determinazione tassonomica delle piante. Verranno inoltre presentati i principali risultati ottenuti dall’elaborazione dei dati raccolti con il software QGIS 3.x e la loro condivisione via web utilizzando la piattaforma Geonode., danielcod@hotmail.it

GeoNode è un Web Spatial Content Management System basato interamente su strumenti Open Source il cui scopo è quello di promuovere la condivisione dei dati e la loro gestione all’interno di un ambiente semplice dove anche utenti non esperti di tecnologie GIS possono visualizzare, modificare, gestire e condividere dati spaziali, mappe, stampe e documenti allegati. GeoNode è un progetto open source avviato nel 2010 dalla Banca Mondiale ed OpenGeo (ora Boundless), ma dal 2011 è interamente gestito dalla comunità di sviluppatori che il progetto è stato in grado di attrarre. Vanta alcune grandi organizzazioni tra i suoi contributor come le Nazioni Unite, la Banca Mondiale e la Commissione Europea oltre a molte NGO e aziende private. GeoNode si basa su una serie di componenti Open Source robusti e diffusi come Django quale framework di base, GeoServer per le funzionalità di gestione dati geospaziali e servizi OGC ed OpenLayers come applicativo di mapping. Inoltre può dialogare con PostgreSQL per la gestione dei dati vettoriali. Scopo di questa presentazione è introdurre l’utente a quelle che sono le funzionalità correnti di GeoNode e ad alcuni casi di utilizzo pratici di particolare interesse in modo da evidenziare anche le possibilità di personalizzazione ed integrazione. Infine verranno presentate una serie di nuove funzionalità ed evoluzioni che sono state recentemente sviluppate o che sono in via di sviluppo e si faranno cenni anche a quelle che sono le le direzioni future di evoluzione del progetto., alessio.fabiani@geo-solutions.it

CAPES - Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior As alterações no uso e ocupação do solo provocam a perda de habitat, invasões biológicas, mudanças globais e, consequentemente, uma crise de extinção global. Devido a esses fatores, a família Cactaceae possui elevado número de espécies ameaçadas de extinção. O Brasil possui 131 das cactáceas ameaçadas globalmente em seu território, das quais 108 são endêmicas, e apresenta um centro de diversidade e hotspots de cactáceas. O país adotou políticas públicas e de conservação para proteção dessas espécies através de, porém não há trabalhos sobre a efetividade dessa proteção, principalmente devido à escassez de informação sobre os cactos. O trabalho vida entender como as principais políticas públicas de conservação adotadas pelo Brasil tem contribuído para a proteção das cactáceas ameaçadas de extinção a nível global e nacional. Foi observado que existe uma distância temporal muito grande entre as listas vermelhas nacionais, ocasionando na ausência de proteção de espécies que podem se extinguir entre as publicações. Há cactos que deveriam estar na lista nacional e internacional, devido ao grau de endemismo e de ameaças que sofrem, porém estão ausentes em uma ou outra. A inclusão dessas espécies às listas em uma nova revisão aumentaria em 106,49% o número de cactos ameaçados no território nacional e de 16,03% a nível global. Apenas 20,25% das cactáceas ameaçadas estão em 28 unidades de conservação (UCs). Essa proteção é desigual entre os biomas brasileiros, na qual biomas com hotspots de cactáceas possuem baixa representatividade dessa política para a conservação dos cactos, promovendo a manutenção de um cenário de extinção dessas espécies. Os planos de manejo dessas UCS não citam a maioria das cactáceas e apenas três apresentam estratégias direcionadas para a conservação das espécies, indicando que as cactáceas podem não estar efetivamente protegidas, pois a delimitação de um território não garante a proteção das espécies sem que haja o monitoramento e as pesquisas sobre as populações e sem o conhecimento da ocorrência das mesmas. Os três planos de ação nacionais territoriais voltados para a flora também não propõe estratégias de conservação diretas para as espécies de cactos, com exceção de um plano, apontando para o mesmo problema das UCs. Também foi concluído que mesmo sendo considerada ameaçada, a grande maioria das cactáceas que sofrem com coleta ilegal no Brasil e no mundo, não estão sob a proteção de um tratado de comercio internacional.

This work presents the development of an efficient tool for managing, visualizing, analysing, and integrating with other data sources, the deformation time-series obtained by applying the advanced differential interferometric synthetic aperture radar (DInSAR) techniques. To implement such a tool we extend the functionalities of GeoNode, which is a web-based platform providing an open source framework based on the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) standards, that allows development of Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) and Spatial Data Infrastructures (SDI). In particular, our efforts have been dedicated to enable the GeoNode platform to effectively analyze and visualize the spatio/temporal characteristics of the DInSAR deformation time-series and their related products. Moreover, the implemented multi-thread based new functionalities allow us to efficiently upload and update large data volumes of the available DInSAR results into a dedicated geodatabase. The examples we present, based on Sentinel-1 DInSAR results relevant to Italy, demonstrate the effectiveness of the extended version of the GeoNode platform.

This technical note is intended to contribute to understanding of how to leverage open source software (OSS) for global public goods particularly in resource-constrained environments. The aim is to enable a more deliberate approach to building information systems that can serve as a global public good, rather than reinventing the wheel every time. Despite business processes being largely the same in various country contexts, each new project is typically built from scratch, as if there were no templates, code libraries or models, or lessons learned on which to base new implementations. Implementations in some domains are dominated by a few IT vendors that present significant switching costs and lock-in to governments that are already resource constrained. OSS solutions have the potential to address the challenges mentioned above and facilitate efficiency, robustness, security, and interoperability of information systems. Governments in the digital age are interested to learn how OSS solutions can help build open, robust, interoperable, and secure service delivery platforms. Digital technology is increasingly the way citizens interact with government. From submitting passport applications to paying parking tickets and registering for social assistance, prior in-person interactions are now occurring online. For governments, modern identification (ID) systems allow for more efficient and transparent administration and service delivery, a reduction in fraud and leakage related to transfers and benefits payments, increased security, accurate vital statistics for planning purposes, and greater capacity to respond to disasters and epidemics. Equally important, social protection systems, programs, and policies help buffer individuals from shocks and equip them to improve their livelihoods and create opportunities to build a better life for themselves and their families.

Since 2014, the Geoinformation Enabling Toolkit starterkIT® (GET-IT), enriched GeoNode® with components addressing two essential needs of scientific research communities. On the one hand GET-IT integrates software for the management of sensor information (via the Sensor Observation Service by 52°North) alongside the geographic information natively supported by GeoNode. On the other, this software suite allows for advanced, customizable, and semantics-aware metadata management (via the EDI editor developed by CNR - IREA). These components enable communities interoperable management of in-situ sensor and geographic data through standards-based metadata and services (e.g., OGC, INSPIRE). Initially developed for the marine domain, GET-IT has been customized for the environmental, geological, urban planning, and precision agriculture contexts. In this presentation, the architectural and technological choices underlying this GeoNode Project will be showcased.

The availability of updated and easy access to geospatial data and information is the main thing in disaster mitigation and sustainable spatial planning. This needs to be supported by the rapid development of technology in the aspect of spreading data and spatial information via the internet. The Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) is realized as an implementation of spatial data distribution. SDI is an integrated mechanism to make it easier for spatial data users to access, search, share, and use spatial data and information. Built upon the background statements, the research does intend to develop a web-app which is functioned as a data repository, viewer, and also simple processing (web GIS). To design and develop a disaster geospatial online application web-app that has an integrated function (repository-web GIS) following the directions and input from user feedback becomes the fold of the research. . The importance of putting the user needs in building a web-app to be used by anyone universally is more realistic and practical. The user interface is very essential in bridging communication between users and web mapping systems. User-centred design (UCD) implemented by gathering input and feedback from users. UCD describes the process of ensuring interface success throughout the design and development of the interface. GeoNode has chosen as the platform since it is open-sourced, and commonly used for managing and publishing geospatial data. Based on respondents' assessment of the quality of content/information that important to be developed in a disaster website, it is recognized that providing reliable and up-to-date data and information (69%) and the accuracy of data and information (74%) are the most important things to develop in the InDITA application. the most important features to respondents are the spatial data display feature/map viewer (89%). The design of InDITA was built interactive and user-friendly which designed as an application that accommodates simple viewer, data repository, and web GIS functions. The interactive design emerged as the demand for app users.

This paper presents the Tools4MSP software package, a Python-based Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) for geospatial analysis in support of Maritime Spatial Planning (MSP) and marine environmental management. The suite was initially developed within the ADRIPLAN data portal, that has been recently upgraded into the Tools4MSP Geoplatform (data.tools4msp.eu), an integrated web platform that supports MSP through the application of different tools, e.g., collaborative geospatial modelling of cumulative effects assessment (CEA) and marine use conflict (MUC) analysis. The package can be used as stand-alone library or as collaborative webtool, providing user-friendly interfaces appropriate to decision-makers, regional authorities, academics and MSP stakeholders. An effective MSP-oriented integrated system of web-based software, users and services is proposed. It includes four components: the Tools4MSP Geoplatform for interoperable and collaborative sharing of geospatial datasets and for MSP-oriented analysis, the Tools4MSP package as stand-alone library for advanced geospatial and statistical analysis, the desktop applications to simplify data curation and the third party data repositories for multidisciplinary and multilevel geospatial datasets integration. The paper presents an application example of the Tools4MSP GeoNode plugin and an example of Tools4MSP stand-alone library for CEA in the Adriatic Sea. The Tools4MSP and the developed software have been released as FOSS under the GPL 3 license and are currently under further development.

IX Jornadas Ibéricas de Infraestructura de Datos Espaciales, 17-19 de octubre de 2018, Menorca, La Unidad de Tecnología Marina del Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (UTM-CSIC) se encarga de la gestión de buques oceanográficos de investigación. Durante las campañas oceanográficas se adquieren una gran cantidad de Datos Espaciales que son gestionados por el Servicio de Datos de la UTM, desde datos que se adquieren de forma automática y contínua en una trayectoria, como la temperatura y salinidad superficial del mar, a datos que se adquieren en puntos o áreas concretas de estudio, como sería un perfil de velocidad del sonido en la columna de agua o una batimetría para cartografiar el fondo marino. El propósito del Servicio de Datos de la UTM es, por un parte, dar a conocer qué datos existen y dónde, cómo y cuándo han sido adquiridos y por otra parte dar accesibilidad a la mayor parte posible de estos datos, que han sido adquiridos con fondos públicos, con el fin de que puedan ser reutilizados. A spatial data infrastructure (SDI) is a framework of geospatial data, metadata, users and tools intended to provide an efficient and flexible way to use spatial information. One of the key software components of an SDI is the catalogue service which is needed to discover, query and manage the metadata. Catalogue services in an SDI are typically based on the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) Catalogue Service for the Web (CSW) standard which defines common interfaces for accessing the metadata information. A search engine is a software system capable of supporting fast and reliable search, which may use ‘any means necessary’ to get users to the resources they need quickly and efficiently. These techniques may include full text search, natural language processing, weighted results, fuzzy tolerance results, faceting, hit highlighting, recommendations and many others. In this paper we present an example of a search engine being added to an SDI to improve search against large collections of geospatial datasets. The Centre for Geographic Analysis (CGA) at Harvard University re-engineered the search component of its public domain SDI (Harvard WorldMap) which is based on the GeoNode platform. A search engine was added to the SDI stack to enhance the CSW catalogue discovery abilities. It is now possible to discover spatial datasets from metadata by using the standard search operations of the catalogue and to take advantage of the new abilities of the search engine, to return relevant and reliable content to SDI users.
