Abstract With the development of the Internet of Things (IoT) in power distribution and the advancement of energy information integration technologies, the explosive growth in network data volume caused by massive terminal devices connecting to the power distribution network has become a significant challenge. Multi‐terminal collaborative computing is a key approach to addressing issues such as high latency and high energy consumption. In this article, fog computing is introduced into the computing network of the power distribution system, and a cloud‐fog‐edge collaborative computing architecture for intelligent power distribution networks is proposed. Within this framework, an improved weighted K‐means method based on information entropy theory is presented for node partitioning. Subsequently, an improved multi‐objective particle swarm optimization algorithm (MWM‐MOPSO) is employed to solve the task resource allocation problem. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed architecture and allocation strategy is validated through simulations on the OPNET and PureEdgeSim platforms. The results demonstrate that, compared to traditional cloud‐edge service architectures, the proposed architecture and task offloading scheme achieve better performance in terms of processing latency and energy consumption.

In order to investigate the effects of different packaging materials on the quality changes of walnut oil, walnut oil was packaged in open glass beakers, tinplate cans, and glass oil bottles, respectively. The Schaal oven method was used to accelerate the oxidation of oil. The peroxide value, acid value, fatty acid composition and relaxation characteristics were used as evaluation indicators to study the effects of different packaging materials on the oxidative stability and predicted shelf life of walnut oil. When the peroxide value was limited to ≤0.25 g/100 g according to national standards for vegetable oils, the predicted shelf life of walnut oil packed in beakers, tinplate cans, glass oil bottles with added TBHQ, and the blank control were 160, 112, 336 and 64 days, respectively. Throughout the predicted shelf life, the acid values of the walnut oil remained within the range required for grade 2 walnut oil. The order of strength of the oxidation stability of walnut oil with TBHQ added by three packaging materials was glass oil bottle>beaker>tinplate can, and it is recommended to store walnut oil in glass oil bottles for long-term storage.

A novel strategy of not only stimulating the immune cycle but also modulating the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment is of vital importance to efficient cancer immunotherapy. Here, a new type of spatiotemporal biomimetic “Gemini nanoimmunoregulators” was engineered to activate robust systemic photoimmunotherapy by integrating the triple-punch of amplified immunogenic cell death (ICD), tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) phenotype reprogramming and programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1) degradation. The “Gemini nanoimmunoregulators” PM@RM-T7 and PR@RM-M2 were constructed by taking the biocompatible mesoporous polydopamine (mPDA) as nanovectors to deliver metformin (Met) and toll-like receptor 7/8 agonist resiquimod (R848) to cancer cells and TAMs by specific biorecognition via wrapping of red blood cell membrane (RM) inlaid with T7 or M2 peptides. mPDA/Met@RM-T7 (abbreviated as PM@RM-T7) was constructed to elicit an amplified in situ ICD effect through the targeted PTT and effectively stimulated the anticancer immunity. Meanwhile, PD-L1 on the remaining cancer cells was degraded by the burst metformin to prevent immune evasion. Subsequently, mPDA/R848@RM-M2 (abbreviated as PR@RM-M2) specifically recognized TAMs and reset the phenotype from M2 to M1 state, thus disrupting the immunosuppressive microenvironment and further boosting the function of cytotoxic T lymphocytes. This pair of sister nanoimmunoregulators cooperatively orchestrated the comprehensive anticancer activity, which remarkably inhibited the growth of primary and distant 4T1 tumors and prevented malignant metastasis. This study highlights the spatiotemporal cooperative modalities using multiple nanomedicines and provides a new paradigm for efficient cancer immunotherapy against metastatic-prone tumors.

Aiming at the data island problem caused by the imperativeness of confidentiality of sensitive information, a secure and collaborative intrusion detection system (CIDS) for industrial cyber physical systems (CPS) was proposed, called PFD-GAN.Specifically, a novel semi-supervised intrusion detection model was firstly developed by improving external classifier-generative adversarial network (EC-GAN) with Wasserstein distance and label condition, to strengthen the classification performance through the use of synthetic data.Furthermore, local differential privacy (LDP) technology was incorporated into the training process of developed EC-GAN to prevent sensitive information leakage and ensure privacy and security in collaboration.Moreover, a decentralized federated distillation (DFD)-based collaboration was designed, allowing multiple industrial CPS to collectively build a comprehensive intrusion detection system (IDS) to recognize the threats under the entire cyber systems without sharing a uniform template model.Experimental evaluation and theory analysis demonstrate that the proposed PFD-GAN is secure from the threats of privacy leaking and highly effective in detecting various types of attacks on industrial CPS.

In this study, pectinase-extracted pectin (PPHP), mixed enzyme-extracted pectin (MPHP), and water-extracted pectin (WPHP) from Premna ligustrides Hemsl. leaves were prepared by pectinase-assisted extraction, pectinase and cellulase-assisted extraction and hot water extraction, respectively, and their molecular masses, monosaccharide compositions, infrared spectra, galacturonic acid contents, degrees of esterification were determined. In addition, their scavenging capacity against 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and 2,2’-azinobis-(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulphonic acid) (ABTS) radical cation and Fe3+ reducing power were assayed, and their antibacterial effects on Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus were explored. The results showed that the yields of WPHP, PPHP and MPHP were 5.11%, 6.45% and 8.91%, respectively. WPHP belonged to high-ester pectin, while MPHP and PPHP belonged to low-ester pectin. The weight-average molecular mass of pectin in the leaves of Premna ligustrides Hemsl was reduced by enzymatic treatment. The contents of total phenols and total flavonoids in MPHP were 17.09 and 26.46 mg/g, respectively, higher than those in WPHP and PPHP. All three pectins had strong scavenging capacities against DPPH radical and ABTS radical cation, among which MPHP had the strongest antioxidant activity. The results of in vitro antibacterial activity showed that MPHP had the best antibacterial effect on Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. These results provide a basis for further searching for the material basis of the antibacterial activity of pectin from Premna ligustroides Hemsl. leaves, and are of significance for the in-depth development and utilization of pectin from Premna ligustroides Hemsl. leaves.

The integrated stress response, especially stress granules (SGs), contributes to host immunity. Typical G3BP1+ stress granules (tSGs) are usually formed after virus infection to restrain viral replication and stimulate innate immunity. Recently, several SG-like foci or atypical SGs (aSGs) with proviral function have been found during viral infection. We have shown that the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) nucleocapsid (N) protein induces atypical N+/G3BP1+ foci (N+foci), leading to the inhibition of host immunity and facilitation of viral infection. However, the precise mechanism has not been well clarified yet. In this study, we showed that the SARS-CoV-2 N (SARS2-N) protein inhibits dsRNA-induced growth arrest and DNA damage-inducible 34 (GADD34) expression. Mechanistically, the SARS2-N protein promotes the interaction between GADD34 mRNA and G3BP1, sequestering GADD34 mRNA into the N+foci. Importantly, we found that GADD34 participates in IRF3 nuclear translocation through its KVRF motif and promotes the transcription of downstream interferon genes. The suppression of GADD34 expression by the SARS2-N protein impairs the nuclear localization of IRF3 and compromises the host’s innate immune response, which facilitates viral replication. Taking these findings together, our study revealed a novel mechanism by which the SARS2-N protein antagonized the GADD34-mediated innate immune pathway via induction of N+foci. We think this is a critical strategy for viral pathogenesis and has potential therapeutic implications.

Based on broadband regional seismic data generated by six North Korean underground nuclear tests, recorded by networks in Northeast China and adjacent areas, this paper developed a set of seismological methods to monitor North Korean underground nuclear tests, including magnitude measurement and yield estimation, high-precision relocation, and discrimination between atomic explosions and natural earthquakes. Since the North Korean nuclear test site (NKTS) is uncalibrated, it is crucial to determine the appropriate empirical magnitude-yield equation for the NKTS. This paper gathered ground truth data from chemical explosions used for deep seismic sounding, including their locations, yields, and charge depths, and determined a magnitude-yield relation suitable for the NKTS. A high-precision relative relocation method was applied to the six nuclear explosions at NKTS. To further alleviate the tradeoff between the detonate time and the source depth, according to the fact that the Pn and Pg waves have different incident angles, Pn and Pg waveform correlations are jointly used to increase the accuracy of relative source depth calculation. By analyzing the P/S type spectral amplitude ratios, Pn/Lg, Pg/Lg, and Pn/Sn, for 6 nuclear tests, 4 natural earthquakes, and 3 chemical explosions, this paper found that, at above 2 Hz, the network averaged spectral amplitude ratios could reliably separate the North Korean nuclear tests from the natural earthquakes. The spectral amplitude ratios of 3 chemical explosions are located between those of the nuclear explosions and the natural earthquakes.

Red fluorescent proteins are useful as morphological markers in neurons, often complementing green fluorescent protein-based probes of neuronal activity. However, commonly used red fluorescent proteins show aggregation and toxicity in neurons or are dim. We report the engineering of a bright red fluorescent protein, Crimson, that enables long-term morphological labeling of neurons without aggregation or toxicity. Crimson is similar to mCherry and mKate2 in fluorescence spectra but is 100 and 28% greater in molecular brightness, respectively. We used a membrane-localized Crimson-CAAX to label thin neurites, dendritic spines and filopodia, enhancing detection of these small structures compared to cytosolic markers.

Flexible and wearable humidity sensors play a vital role in daily point-of-care diagnosis and noncontact human-machine interactions. However, achieving a facile and high-speed fabrication approach to realizing flexible humidity sensors remains a challenge. In this work, a wearable capacitive-type Ga2O3/liquid metal-based humidity sensor is demonstrated by a one-step laser direct writing technique. Owing to the photothermal effect of laser, the Ga2O3-wrapped liquid metal particles can be selectively sintered and converted from insulative to conductive traces with a resistivity of 0.19 Ω·cm, while the untreated regions serve as active sensing layers in response to moisture changes. Under 95% relative humidity, the humidity sensor displays a highly stable performance along with rapid response and recover time. Utilizing these superior properties, the Ga2O3/liquid metal-based humidity sensor is able to monitor human respiration rate, as well as skin moisture of the palm under different physiological states for healthcare monitoring.

Abstract Targeted chemo-phototherapy has received widespread attention in cancer treatment for its advantages in reducing the side effects of chemotherapeutics and improving therapeutic effects. However, safe and efficient targeted-delivery of therapeutic agents remains a major obstacle. Herein, we successfully constructed an AS1411-functionalized triangle DNA origami (TOA) to codeliver chemotherapeutic drug (doxorubicin, DOX) and a photosensitizer (indocyanine green, ICG), denoted as TOADI (DOX/ICG-loaded TOA), for targeted synergistic chemo-phototherapy. In vitro studies show that AS1411 as an aptamer of nucleolin efficiently enhances the nanocarrier’s endocytosis more than 3 times by tumor cells highly expressing nucleolin. Subsequently, TOADI controllably releases the DOX into the nucleus through the photothermal effect of ICG triggered by near-infrared (NIR) laser irradiation, and the acidic environment of lysosomes/endosomes facilitates the release. The downregulated Bcl-2 and upregulated Bax, Cyt c, and cleaved caspase-3 indicate that the synergistic chemo-phototherapeutic effect of TOADI induces the apoptosis of 4T1 cells, causing ~ 80% cell death. In 4T1 tumor-bearing mice, TOADI exhibits 2.5-fold targeted accumulation in tumor region than TODI without AS1411, and 4-fold higher than free ICG, demonstrating its excellent tumor targeting ability in vivo. With the synergetic treatment of DOX and ICG, TOADI shows a significant therapeutic effect of ~ 90% inhibition of tumor growth with negligible systemic toxicity. In addition, TOADI presents outstanding superiority in fluorescence and photothermal imaging. Taken together, this multifunctional DNA origami-based nanosystem with the advantages of specific tumor targeting and controllable drug release provides a new strategy for enhanced cancer therapy.
