Because of the high temperature and high pressure environment inside the annular combustor of an aircraft engine, the direct measurement of the burner noise is very difficult. This paper set up the model of the total sound level and the effect factor SVR though analyzing the relationship between the total sound level and noise parameters of the combustion chamber the annular combustor an aircraft engine and the influence factors,, and it is better than multiple regression mode and the projection pursuit regression model, and predict the predicting samples so it is important for aero-engine design and reliability analysis.

In order to evaluate the anti-jamming capacity of the radar net under information warfare conditions, this paper adopts the projection pursuit method to convert the main performance indexes which affect the radar net anti-jamming capacity into one dimension projection value, offers their evaluation and ranking of such indexes and achieves the weights of the these evaluation indexes. This method does not only realize the evaluation of the radar net anti-jamming capacity but also provides a new method to evaluate such a capacity.

Through the relation among the pressure of the torpedo launch tube, cylinder volume, cylinder pressure and emission valve size, we adopt the projection pursuit regression method and establish the model to predict the pressure of the torpedo launch tube. Through the comparison of experiment data and model prediction, fitting accuracy of this relation model is higher than that of the partial least-squares regression method and linear regression model and the projection pursuit regression is an efficient method which can research the initial ballistic trajectory of ship launched torpedoes.

The Theory of Projection Pursuit Regression is applied in the equipment indemnificatory valuation and forecast to establish the projection pursuit regression model. After fitting the training samples, this model strikes a good balance between the valuation value and its relevant influential factors, demonstrating a good fitting effect with the average relative error of only 2.1522% . After predicting the test samples, it shows a good forecast effect with the relative error of only-0.4069%, thus providing basis for equipment indemnificatory valuation and forecast.

The projection pursuit regression theory is applied to analysis the reliability of vehicle hydraulic brake system and build the projection pursuit regression model. This model on training sample fitting effect is good and shows extremely strong adaptability. We predict the reliability of certain type hydraulic brake system by this model which provides scientific basis for research on reliability of hydraulic brake system.

An integrated evaluation of the modern main battle tank based on Topsis method is discussed in this article. The method is a technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution which can avoid the difficulty in traditional evaluations that regard the multi-evaluation parameters as a single efficiency evaluating value. The results show that this mode1 features convenient calculations，high distinguish efficiency and high stability. The article supplies a new system to the comprehensive evaluation of the modern main battle tank.

Hydraulic motor is one of the elements with a high occurrence rate of failure in hydraulic system of amphibious assault vehicles. When the motor leakage reaches the limit value allowed, the motor should be renewed or overhauled. Through an analysis of the influencing factors that affect hydraulic motor leakage of amphibious assault vehicles, this article establishes a support vector regression model for motor leakage and gets a maximum relative error of 4.29% between the fitted value and the measured value of motor leakage, which offers more reliable evidence for scientific determination of renewal period or overhaul period of hydraulic motor

Projection Pursuit method invert a number of evaluating indicator into a one-dimensional projection values by the best projection direction, to avoid anthropogenic interference with the expert scoring factors. Application of projection pursuit method for three models of the submarine launched torpedoes capability to conduct a comprehensive evaluation, the best projection direction of the evaluation indicator is got, and a synthetic comprehensive evaluation order of the models is obtained. These supply scientific budget for the operational use , improvements and development of torpedoes.

The hydraulic motor of amphibious assault vehicle is one of the important output executive components of the hydraulic system whose performance has an important influence for the whole system. According to the high failure rate, fault detection and location problems of hydraulic system, this paper explore the relationship between the leakage of amphibious assault vehicle and each influential factor, establish the leakage predication model by projection pursuit regression method and get a better predicated effect. It has great significance for the fault diagnosis of hydraulic motor of amphibious assault vehicle.
