21. Deep Learning Framework for Low-Observable Distribution System State Estimation With Multitimescale Measurements

Abstract

The deployment of microphasor measurement units, supervisory control and data acquisition systems, and smart meters has revolutionized distribution systems, moving toward more intelligence and facilitating state estimation. However, the asynchronous nature and varying sample rates of the measurements raise a significant challenge to state estimation in low-observable distribution systems. This article proposes a novel data-driven framework for state estimation in low-observable distribution systems. The framework incorporates super-resolution imputation techniques that are capable of handling multitime scale measurements. Specifically, the proposed framework utilizes Wasserstein divergence conditional adversarial networks to implement multivariate super-resolution imputation. This involves employing a gated recurrent unit generator with additive attention to impute super-resolution measurements, as well as a discriminator with self-attention to approximate the Wasserstein divergence between the imputed values and the ground truth. Furthermore, a tailor-made physical-guided bilinear neural network is employed to estimate the operational state of low-observable distribution systems by leveraging matrix factorization techniques to capture the low-rank characteristics. Simulation results illustrate the superiority of the proposed approach from the standpoint of multitimescale measurements imputation and state estimation in low-observable distribution systems.

Abstract

In order to solve the problem of voltage violation in the distribution network caused by high penetration of renewable resources, an active-reactive coordinated optimization method considering the impact of energy storage is proposed. The problem of voltage deviation brought by renewable energy is analyzed, and it is verified that the problem of voltage deviation can be solved from both aspects of active power and reactive power .The coordinated optimization model is presented , with minimum total nodal voltage deviation as the objective function. In addition, the adaptive particle swarm optimization algorithm based on distributed entropy is presented to solve the mathematical problem. The validity and practicability of the proposed method is verified in case study.

Abstract

Aiming at the problems that today’s distributed trading market does not fully reflect the energy consumption characteristics of terminal users. The game relationship between market players yet merits further research. This paper proposed a distributed Peer-to-Peer (P2P) trading method for microgrid clusters in active distribution networks containing series of integrated smart buildings. The smart building was first taken as the carrier of the terminal load in a thermal balance model entitled “thermal resistance-heat capacity (R-C) An autonomous economic scheduling model of the market entity was then established accordingly. The non-cooperative game model and the Stackelberg game model were used to analyze the game relationship among sellers and between sellers and buyers in P2P transactions. The impact of terminal energy consumption characteristics on microgrid economic scheduling and P2P transactions was analyzed under real-world conditions; the economic and technological benefits remitted by P2P transactions on microgrid operation were also quantitatively analyzed.

Abstract

Aiming at the problems that game relationships between current distributed trading market entities merit further exploration and the impact of distributed transactions on distribution network operation is not yet fully understood. This paper proposes a multi-microgrid distributed Peer-to-Peer (P2P) day-ahead trade method considering congestion management. A model of the autonomous economic scheduling of the market entity was constructed. The non-cooperative game model and Stackelberg game model were then used to analyze the game relationship in the P2P transaction process under normal distribution network operation conditions. A congestion scheduling technique was then applied in the case of congested distribution network operation based on market capacity. Finally, simulation results were used to analyze the P2P transaction results in different scenarios as well as the impact of the proposed trade method on distribution network operation.
