A field study was conducted during Rabi season of two consecutive years 2019 and 2020 in Crop ResearchFarm at Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh,India to determine the role of biofertilizer and growth regulators on production of Indian mustard (Brassicajuncea L.). For the yield and yield parameter viz., seed yield (1.943 and 2.034 t/ha), stover yield (6.747 and6.964), harvest index (22.31 and 22.56 %) and test weight (3.38 and 3.47 g) significantly higher were recordedduring the years 2019-20 and 2020-21 in treatment combination B4 (PSB + VAM + Azotobacter), respectively.Among the growth regulators results revealed that is significantly higher recorded the seed yield (1.842and 1.978 t/ha) and stover yield (6.768 and 6.954 t/ha) during the years 2019-20 and 2020-21, respectivelyin the treatment G1 [Gibberellic acid 50 ppm (0.05 g/l)].

An experiment on Gladiolus was conducted during November 2021 to March 2022, in Horticulture Research Field, Department of Horticulture, Naini Agricultural Institute, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, and Technology & Sciences, Prayagraj (U.P) India. The results of the investigation, regarding the performance of the 10 Treatments of Gladiolus i.e. T0 Control NPK (RDF)-120:150:150 Kg/ha, T1 Biocapsule 200 ppm, T2 Biocapsule 400 ppm, T3 Biocapsule 600 ppm, T4 Nanochitosan 50 ppm, T5 Nanochitosan 100 ppm, T6 Nanochitosan 150 ppm, T7 Nanochitosan 50 ppm & Biocapsule 200 ppm, T8 Nanochitosan 100ppm & Biocapsule 400 ppm, T9 Nanochitosan 150 ppm & Biocapsule 600 ppm to find out the best performance in terms of growth, flowering and flower yield. The experiment was conducted in Randomized Block design, were each treatment replicated thrice the results from the present investigation concluded that in terms of growth and yield treatment the treatment T7 (Nanochitosan 50 ppm & Biocapsule 200 ppm) was recorded with maximum number of flower spike (4.71 lakhsspike/ha) & corms yield (4.81 lakhs/ha)The treatment T7 was also recorded with highest net profit (3023506) with maximum cost benefit ratio (4.85).whereas in terms of shelf life the treatment T8 Nanochitosan 100 ppm& Biocapsule 400 ppm recorded with maximum shelf life.

Mafic granulites occur as enclaves within host mylonitized felsic rocks along the WNW-ESE trending, northerly dipping (40°-80°) Mahanadi Shear Zone (MSZ) of the Eastern Ghats Province (EGP), eastern India. Mafic granulite enclaves are characterized by the mineral assemblages Grt+Cpx+Pl+Qtz±Opx±Hbl±Bt (type-1) and Opx+Cpx+Pl+Hbl±Bt (type-2). The type-1 mafic granulite is the focus of the present study and this rock occurs as small enclaves (up to a few tens of meters in maximum size) within mylonitic augen gneiss, finer grained felsic gneiss (Qtz+Kfs+Pl+Bt±Grt), and type-2 mafic granulite. The type-1 mafic granulite is partially to completely recrystallized, massive to crudely foliated rock containing the peak metamorphic assemblage of coarse granoblastic garnet (Grt), clinopyroxene (Cpx), plagioclase (Pl) and quartz (Qtz). Coarse Grt contains inclusion of hornblende (Hbl) which suggests that the peak assemblage was formed by Hbl-dehydration melting. While the peak assemblage is stable in most of the samples, coarse Grt shows partial decomposition to a symplectic intergrowth of Cpx+Pl±Opx (orthopyroxene) in a few samples. Phase chemical data suggest that the rim compositions of coarse Grt show small but significant drop in pyrope content (ΔPrp = 2-3 mole%) from the core, while the coarse Cpx shows more magnesian core (XMg = 0.76) than the rim (XMg=0.68). Plagioclase core is more albitic (XAb = 0.40) compared to the rim composition (XAb=0.16). Geothermobarometric calculations show that the peak pressure of metamorphism was 14-12 kbar at a temperature of ~760-840°C, whereas the rim compositions of Grt in association of coarse Cpx+Pl+Qtz and symplectic Cpx+Pl±Opx yield pressure of 8-9 kbar at ~700-750°C. This suggest a near-isothermal (ΔT=60-90°C) decompression (ΔP=3-6 kbar) of the thickened lower crust indicating exhumation related to thrusting. This regional-scale thrusting was followed by an event of cooling that produced Hbl- and Bt-bearing assemblages. Combining the inferred prograde and retrograde histories, we reconstruct a clockwise P-T path from the studied type-1 mafic granulites. Identification of such clockwise P-T path with characteristic high-temperature decompression from the MSZ is a first of its kind from the interior of the EGP which is otherwise characterized by ca. 1000-900 Ma ultrahigh temperature metamorphism (UHTM; T>900°C) at 7-8 kbar pressure. This study thus shows convincing evidence of a hitherto unrecognized early (> 1000-900 Ma) collisional tectonometamorphic history of the MSZ vis-à-vis the EGP, and hints that the former could represent a fossilized suture zone linked with possible terrane accretion and collision between India and East Antarctica.

Brittle shallow crustal faults typically develop a complex fault zone architecture with distinct structural domains that display diverse microstructures, mineralogy, and deformation mechanisms. The development of such domains is typically controlled by the strength and composition of the protoliths, physical conditions of deformation, fluid ingress, and diachronous fault growth in response to stress accumulation and co-seismic slip. Herein, we studied the microstructure-mineralogy-kinematics of fault rocks in the Nahan Thrust, in the vicinity of the Main Frontal Thrust that represents a tectonically active zone in the Himalayan orogen. The Nahan Thrust is characterized by alternating red and gray gouge layers, and a single black gouge layer. Our results from electron microscopy and X-ray diffractometry indicate that the protolith of the red gouge layers is argillaceous sandstone, whereas that of the gray and black gouge layers is sandstone. Microstructures suggest an initially distributed deformation (aseismic creep), followed by a protracted brittle deformation event, and a later aseismic creep stage. The brittle stage is marked by progressive localization of stress, fracture development, cataclasis, frictional sliding, and seismic slips. The black gouge layer acted as the principal slip zone and exhibited ultrafine bands of micrometer-scale slip zones with vapor escape structures and clay clast aggregates, indicating seismic faulting and frictional heating during seismic slips. The preferential seismic rupture nucleation in the black gouge layer indicates a strong lithological dependence on seismic slip in the Nahan Thrust. We also conclude that heterogeneity within the Nahan Thrust resulted from primary lithological variations of the protoliths.

A field experiment was conducted at Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHUATS), Prayagraj (U.P.), India, to evaluate the performance of direct-seeded rice (DSR) as influenced by dual cropping with nitrogen levels and weed management practices. Dual cropping of Sesbania with 100% recommended dose of nitrogen gave comparable yields with higher net returns and C/B ratio for both the years. Pretilachlor plus (@ 0.3 kg a.i./ha) as pre-emergence application followed by hand-weeding (HW) at 45 days after sowing (DAS) was effective in controlling weeds and increasing yields of DSR which resulted in higher economic returns than HW twice at 20 and 45 DAS. The results showed that farmers could save 56% human labour, 73% machine labour and 25% irrigation water as compared to transplanted rice; thus, DSR technology has the potential to increase farmers’ income and save natural resources.

A number of crustal-scale shear zones have developed along the southern margin of the Singhbhum Craton, in the boundary with the Neoarchean Rengali Province and the Meso-Neoproterozoic Eastern Ghats Belt. The cratonic part, evolved in a suprasubduction zone setting, bears imprints of late Mesoarchean orogenic episode (D1C) at ca. 3.1 Ga with folding and thrust imbrication of the cratonic rocks. The succeeding orogenic imprint is etched in the Neoarchean (~2.8 Ga) with development of the Sukinda thrust along the craton margin and thrust-related deformation of the rocks of the Rengali Province (D2C-D1R). The latter event remobilized cratonic fringe with development of a spectacular E-W trending transpressional belt in the Southern Iron Ore Group rocks cored by the Sukinda ultramafics. In the Eastern Ghats Belt, the major ultrahigh-temperature orogeny took place during the Grenvillian-age (~1.0-0.9 Ga) assembly of the supercontinent Rodinia. This belt eventually got juxtaposed against the expanded Singhbhum Craton in the end-Neoproterozoic time (~0.5 Ga) along the Kerajang Fault Zone. This latter event remobilized a large part of the Rengali Province (D2R) with development of an intraterrane transpressional belt bounded by the Barkot Shear Zone in the north. The northern fringe of the intruding Eastern Ghats Belt developed a complex network of strike-slip fault system under this impact, probably an outcome of tectonic activity along the Kuunga suture, which signifies the joining of greater India with East Antarctica. The present synthesis visualizes early development in the craton through formation of a typical orogenic sequence, imbricated in thrust piles, resulting from a ca. 3.1 Ga orogeny. Further cratonic expansion was achieved via repetitive accretion and remobilization, development of crustal-scale faults and transpressional belts at ca. 2.8 Ga and ca. 0.5 Ga, much in a similar fashion as documented along oblique convergent margins of all ages.

Five successive deformation phases have been identified from structural analysis of granitoid and gneissic rocks of the study area. The magnetic foliation data of the studied granitoids show two distinct NW and NE trending sets. The NW trending magnetic foliation is found to be essentially parallel to the mesoscale planar structures of regional D1-D2 deformations and is thus correlated with the D1-D2 phases. On the contrary, the NE trending magnetic foliation appears to be kinematically compatible with the NW-SE compression direction deciphered from conjugate ductile shear zone patterns of the D3 event. Combining AMS, field and microstructural data, the granitoid outcrop have been separated into older D1-D2 and younger D3 domains. The published geochronological data from the area when compared with the established D1-D2 and D3 domains, shows a good correlation pointing tentatively the timing of the D1-D2 deformation phase to be ∼2550 Ma while the D3 phase to be ∼2524 Ma. Hence the study highlights the importance of combining AMS data with field and microstructural studies to constraint the timing of regional successive deformation imprints. It also helps to identify the chronologically separated emplacement phases of the granitoid massif in question, which would not have been possible otherwise.

Background: Stevia is a natural sweetener plant with zero calorie content which is used as an alternative source of sugar. Stevioside extract from stevia is considered to be 300-350 times sweeter than sugar. It is safe for use by both diabetics and hypo glycaemics due to its low glycaemic index. Stevia has some bitter aftertaste along with sweetness due to the presence of some essential oils, tannins and flavonoids.Methods: Field experiment was conducted at Eastern Block of Crop Research Farm, Department of Agronomy, Naini Agricultural Institute, Prayagraj during Zaid 2018. The experiment was carried out in randomized complete block design comprising of three N levels i.e. 50, 75 and 100 kg N/ha and inter row spacing of 30, 40 and 50 cm with 20 cm of plant to plant spacing. The study was carried out to find out response of nitrogen levels and spacing on stevia.Result: Maximum plant height (51.24 cm), leaf area (4596.99 cm2) was observed with treatment 100 kg N ha-1 at 50 cm x 20 cm spacing and leaf area index (7.30), total soluble solids (TSS) (18.73 oBrix) was noticed with treatment 100 kg N ha-1 at 30 cm x 20 cm spacing, whereas the maximum Leaf number (342.52) was recorded with treatment 100 kg N ha-1 at 40 cm x 20 cm spacing. The results of this experiment revealed that increased dose of nitrogen with narrow spacing gave maximum quality.

In a process industry, speeds in different individual operations in a particular process are normally achieved by either using a main motor, a line shaft and a set of spur gears, or using multiple motor systems with separate electronic drives for each motor where speed synchronization is achieved by using an electronic card for synchronization. However, for any of these speed transmission systems, speed synchronization of each operation in a process can always be deteriorated by system parameter uncertainties and load torque perturbations. Particularly in line shaft system with a single motor, as desired speed ratio between two separate operations is achieved by using a line shaft and different spur gears, so whenever the desired speed ratio is required to change, a substantial amount of time is wasted in changing the spur gears manually with suitable number of teeth to achieve the speed ratio. Similarly, for a dual /multiple motor system, although speed synchronization is achieved by using electronic drives and synchronizing card but accuracy of speed ratio will be hindered by system parameter uncertainties and load torque perturbations until a correction signal proportional to the deviation of speed ratio is immediately sent to the main electronic card responsible for speed synchronization. In this paper, a novel electronic gear system is proposed for maintain a desired speed ratio between the main motor (called Master) and another motor (called Slave) with high accuracy where no line shaft and spur gears are necessary thus eliminates the wastage of time in changing spur gears as well as removes to a great extent any parameter uncertainty.

An attempt is made to develop an 11-level inverter (single-phase) with almost sinusoidal waveform by the use of programmed Pulse Width Modulation or SHEPWM technique and Genetic Algorithm for eliminating mostly injurious lower order harmonics. An ideal inverter which drives a load should give sinusoidal output voltage as rating of load is indicated by the manufacturer on the basis of sinusoidal input. The rectangular waveform of conventional full-bridge voltage source inverter not only reduces efficiency of the load equipments but also reduces their longevity due to presence of lower and higher order harmonics in addition to fundamental. Although, the pattern of both the output voltage and current waveforms with minimum ripple can be improved with the help of high frequency switching by way of various conventional PWM techniques but with increase in switching losses and electromagnetic interference. The harmonic effect can also be reduced by using large size filter (as harmonic frequencies are on the lower side) which increases the cost of inverter as well as its size. The problem can also be solved to a great extent by replacing conventional two-level inverters with multilevel inverters which use lower switching frequencies to switch ON and switch OFF the power devices and give better total harmonic distortion (THD) even without use of filter.Genetic Algorithm has been used for finding switching/firing angles for the power devices by solving related mathematical equations (which are nonlinear in nature) with a view to remove the selective harmonics. As the most dominating harmonics are shifted on the higher frequency side, their effect can be reduced by use of smaller size filter, if required.

In midst of dreaded Coronavirus infection surge, reports in the media indicated people in droves, with scant respect for distancing rules, thronged the markets, shops, malls and eateries. Many ventured without mask in public places. Large number of crowded public transport, and two and more people travelling in two-wheelers became a common site across Indian major cities. More and more, young and middle-aged, people reportedly fell prey to the infection and some unknowingly got infected and cured, already. While generally, there existed a high level of compliance among people by wearing masks in public, and generally trying to keep their distance from other people, yet, in some containment zones, people are reportedly ignoring COVID-19 precautions. Irrational as this may seem, health-communications experts say denial is a natural human response to overwhelming emotion and panic. It is so natural that even trained physicians have questioned the outbreak. The paper attempts to understand the intersecting trends for such skepticism.

Background: Peptic Ulcer perforation is one of the most important and dreaded complication of peptic ulcer disease. In-spite of recent therapeutic management options available, it is still life threatening catastrophe. Sudden release of gastric and duodenal content in peritoneal cavity leads to devastating sequence of events which if not properly managed may lead to death. Age and Gender adjusted analysis of incidence, morbidity and mortality and the effect of ulcerogenic medications, addictions and H. Pylori infection in prognosis were studied here. Postoperative outcomes were also assessed after giving same type of treatments (Preoperative resuscitation, Graham’s Patch repair, and postoperative care) given by same surgical team.Aims and Objectives: The aims and objectives of this study were to investigate the latest trends of incidence, presentation, morbidity and mortality of benign perforated gastro-duodenal ulcer among the various age groups of population and to further study the risk factors associated with these events and study the association of addiction, ulcerogenic medications and H. Pylori infection.Materials and Methods: This observational descriptive study was conducted in R.G.Kar Medical College, Kolkata between the periods from January 2016 to June 2017 among 102 patients.Results: In this study of 102 patients 97% were male patients, maximum number of patient were from the age group 15 -30 years (45.1%).86.3% were from low socio- economic status and 40.2% residing in urban slum. Maximum number of patients presenting within 72 hrs (71%) having zero mortality. Seventy four percent of patients presented with shock if came between 4-5 days with 17.39% mortality. Patient presenting after 5 days had mortality of 75% and shock was 100% finding. Size 1 cm then mortality was >50.5%.Conclusion: Perforated peptic ulcer is common among males in second and third decade of their life with patients living in rural and urban slum commonly affected. Most common predisposing factors for PPU among younger population were addictions like smoking or alcohol intake. Among the elderly patients, intake of ulcerogenic medications like NSAID and steroids was the most common predisposing factor for PPU. Among patients of non-NSAID associated PPU, Helicobacter pylori infection was the major cause in the pathogenesis of PPU.Asian Journal of Medical Sciences Vol.9(6) 2018 68-75

We present zircon U-Pb (SHRIMP) and monazite U-Th-total Pb (EPMA) ages from a suite of high-grade rocks of the Phulbani domain of the Eastern Ghats Belt, India. These ages are integrated with the metamorphic and magmatic histories of the Phulbani domain to put precise time constraints on the tectonothermal evolution of the northern part of the Eastern Ghats Belt. Zircon from the coarse-grained charnockite rock shows crystallization age of ca. 970 Ma. Aluminous granulite contains spinel and quartz-bearing mineral assemblage indicating ultrahigh temperature metamorphism (>900 °C at 8–10 kbar) which possibly occurred during ca. 987 Ma as revealed from monazite included in porphyroblastic garnet. Monazite in the aluminous granulite and the migmatitic felsic gneiss grew dominantly at 966 ± 4 Ma and 968 ± 4 Ma ages respectively, which are interpreted as the cooling ages subsequent to peak metamorphism. Oscillatory-zoned zircon grains of the felsic augen gneiss yield ca. 1173 Ma age which is interpreted as the crystallization age of the granitic protolith. This ca. 1173 Ma age granite possibly composed a part of the Proterozoic basement of the Eastern Ghats Province. A monazite age of 781 ± 15 Ma from the aluminous granulite may indicate the timing of a localized shear-induced thermal process in the Phulbani domain. The presently studied rock suite thus recorded three distinct events (ca. 1173 Ma, ca. 1000–900 Ma and ca. 781 Ma) of magmatism, metamorphism and deformation of Eastern Ghats Belt. Metamorphic and magmatic histories of the Phulbani domain are similar to those of the adjacent Visakhapatnam domain and the Rayner Province of East Antarctica during the time frame ca. 1000–900 Ma.

The microstructures of the heterogeneously deformed limestones of the Kolhan Group, Singhbhum Craton (SC), eastern India are investigated to study deformation mechanism, grain size and shape preferred orientation (SPO) development. The texture of the deformed rocks is analyzed by Electron Back-Scattered Diffraction (EBSD) in order to determine crystallographic preferred orientation (CPO) development in calcite grains. The c-axis pattern in protomylonite and mylonite define girdle patterns developed perpendicular to local shear planes showing monoclinic symmetry. The latter is interpreted in terms of a top-to-south shear, which is consistent with the observed microstructural and fabric data from the deformed rocks. The Anisotropy of Magnetic Susceptibility (AMS) studies are performed on 22 heterogeneously strained limestone specimens to document strain variation within the Kolhan rocks. The field fabric, SPO data measured from calcite and mica grains (κcal and κmi) and calcite CPO data are compared with observed variation in AMS fabric intensity (Pj) across the Kolhan basin. Integration of these data sets help to establish presence of large internal thrust planes within the Kolhan basin, which form a part of the regional foreland vergent thrust system developed along the northern margin of the SC.

Gender inequalities affect women’s access to and experience of HIV/AIDS programmes and services. The current study focused on Female Injecting Drug Users with human immunodeficiency virus positive status, residing in Champai district of Mizoram - known as transit hub for illegal drugs. Drug use and drug peddling beset the district and injecting drug use and sharing of injecting equipment among males and females caused the rising HIV infection among users. In Mizoram, the human immunodeficiency virus infection has topped the list of States with prevalence rate of 2.04%. The study was conducted with the aim of exploring the needs and social contexts of Female injecting drug users. We embarked at understanding how FIDUs experience gender inequality and discrimination and the impacts the same have on their abilities to access health services. This study was performed in August 2019 and conducted among Female HIV positive intravenous drug users of Champai. The qualitative study also used content analysis. The data were collected through individual interviews with Key Informants involved in health service delivery; and focus groups with HIV positive FIDUs. Given the hidden nature of FIDUs, snowball sampling was attempted to recruit participants. Qualitative data analysis was conducted using the framework approach and informed by theories of risk environments. A summary of socio-demographic with drug use and HIV positive status of participants was generated using Microsoft Excel systems. Transcripts were analyzed through QAD MINAR software and codes were generated. The findings suggest systemic interventions that reduce community deprivation and social disorder likely to yield important benefits. This study identified important structural and contextual factors that affect the uptake of the preventive health services by FIDUs of Champai and other vulnerable districts of Mizoram state.

The Bengalibhadralokhave had an important impact on Indian nationalism in Bengal and in India more broadly. Their commitment to narratives of national progress has been noted. However, little attention has been given to how ‘earthly paradise’, ‘garden of delights’, and related ideas of refinement and nobility also informed their nationalism. This article excavates the idea of earthly paradise as it is portrayed in Satyajit Ray's 1958 Bengali filmJalsaghar, usually translated asThe Music Room.Jalsagharis typically taken to depict, broadly, the decadence and decline of aristocratic ‘feudal’ landowners (zamindars) who were granted their holdings and, often, noble rank, such as ‘Lord’ or ‘Raja’, during Mughal or British times, representing the languid past of the nobility, and the ascendance of a restless business-oriented class that represents an emerging present and possible future. Thezamindarsare shown as pursuing aesthetic and spiritual delight, ecstasy, and edification through soirées. These soirées are produced for those among the nobility who are sufficiently cultivated and cosmopolitan to appreciate the finer things in life, such as the classical music and dance showcased in this film. The businessmen, too, aspire to host such exceptional events, but are too crass to do so properly and, moreover, they are motivated by a desire to accrue prestige, thus using soirées as a means to an end, rather than to experience aesthetic and spiritual elevation as an end in itself. I argue that the film calls on thebhadralokto value aesthetic cultivation and to actively counter its evanescence. The film thus beckons and authorizes thebhadralokto sustain the value of the timeless past, including nobility and refinement. Yet thebhadralokare also expected to embody and expand a new, progressive, and utilitarian spirit that would modernize India. With the aristocrats gone, and the entrepreneurs eager to assume authority, the film charges thebhadralokto construct a nationalism in which the immortal, character-building values of classical art, for example, can yet be sutured to utilitarian progressivism. I argue that the film conveys this even though it does not explicitly portray or even mention thebhadralok, or feature uniquely Bengali music and art. Accordingly, this article does not focus on the actual aesthetic and political practices ofbhadraloknationalism. The aim is to shed light on one genealogy through which thebhadraloksanctioned themselves as India's stewards along these lines.

This study focuses on the evolution of the Central Gneissic Belt of the Archean Rengali Province which evolved as a craton-margin orogenic belt. The Central Gneissic Belt is constituted of charnockite gneiss, migmatitic hornblende gneiss and granite gneiss often showing gradational contacts. While mafic granulite occurs as enclave within the charnockite gneiss, amphibolite and calc-silicate granofels enclaves are present within the granite gneiss. Mafic granulite shows peak metamorphic assemblage of garnet + clinopyroxene + plagioclase + quartz ± orthopyroxene which was stabilized at 10.6 ± 0.5 kbar and 860 ± 20 °C. Charnockite gneiss with the peak assemblage of orthopyroxene + quartz + plagioclase + K-feldspar was metamorphosed at 792 ± 48 °C and 7.6 ± 0.4 kbar. Amphibolite and migmatitic hornblende gneiss contain hornblende along with plagioclase and garnet and these rocks were metamorphosed at 800 ± 20 °C, 8.5 ± 0.2 kbar and 695 °C, 8 kbar respectively. Later meta-dolerite dikes exhibit relic igneous textures which are slightly modified by greenschist-facies metamorphism. Charnockite gneiss, migmatitic hornblende gneiss and granite gneiss show similar trace and REE characteristics (moderate fractionation in terms of La and Yb, LREE enrichment and flat HREE pattern) implying the same protolith composition for these rock groups. Based on the field, petrographic and geochemical data, we propose that the protoliths for the charnockite gneiss, the migmatitic hornblende gneiss and the granite gneiss crystallized as fractionated magma in within-plate syncollisional setting during the ca. 2860–2780 Ma orogeny at the Rengali Province.

Singhbhum Craton (>3500 Ma), the Archean continental nuclei of eastern India, preserves on its southern margin coexisting deep crustal granulites and shallow crustal metasedimentary lithologic units that were juxtaposed through complex transpressional tectonics. U-Pb detrital zircon ages were obtained from five samples of widely separated locations of two parallel belts, which are known as the Northern and the Southern Supracrustal Belts. In addition, zircon grains from a pegmatite from the central gneissic complex were also dated. The LA-ICP-MS derived U-Pb age data from these samples lead to the estimation of age of sedimentation and the thermal events in the provenance. The U-Pb age from these samples yielded younger than 2235 ± 28 Ma for Northern Supracrustal Belt, while that of the Southern Supracrustal Belt is consistently younger (
