Abstract The article gives a geobotanical description and a floristic analysis of communities with the participation of the rare and relict species Alnus glutinosa in condition of Aktobe region. The aim of the study is to provide a geobotanical assessment of the current status of a rare, relict species of the Alnus glutinosa population, which was included in the Red Data Book of Kazakhstan. At present, the flora of the Aktobe region is not sufficiently studied. Conservation of the biodiversity of the Aktobe region flora is one of the most topical issues. In Aktobe region, due to the lack of grazing, felling of trees, using as fuel and the emergence of uncontrolled tourism and at the same time due to the lack of natural renewal of the area, these consequences lead to a quantitative reduction in the species. In this regard, it is necessary to study the species and organize protection and conservation measures. The results of the study showed that the plant Alnus glutinosa is rarely found in the flora of Kazakhstan and also the distribution areas are reduced. Of the three investigated points, plants from 24 families were identified. Plant communities of Alnus glutinosa are being studied for the first time in the Aktobe region. For the first time in the conditions of the Aktobe region, the habitat of black alder was discovered. The floral composition of plant communities of Alnus glutinosa grown in various ecological environments was revealed, the ratio of life forms and phytocenotic features were studied for the first time. In addition, alder felt mite and ground bug, damaging black alder, were identified from 3 studied populations. It has been established that the main reason for the spread of this pest is a very strong moistening of the ground on which sticky Alder grows. Results sequencing showed that the DNA sample under study belongs to the fungus Alternaria alternata.

The elaboration of a low-cost and effective approach to synthesize hybrid composite materials based on the conventional thermoplastics and natural biopolymers is a sustainable alternative to the production of “traditional” plastics. Cellulose is one of the most abundant biopolymers. Its fibrils possess outstanding mechanical characteristics and, hence, attract considerable interest of researchers during recent decades. However, modification of the hydrophobic polymer matrix by cellulose fibrils is significantly complicated by the hydrophilic nature of the latter. In this study, we propose an effective and low-cost approach to the synthesis of polystyrene at the cellulose microfibrils composite material via the emulsion polymerization method. The obtained fibrous composite was comprehensively analyzed with FTIR spectroscopy, SEM, TGA, and DSC, and was further employed to produce sponge hybrid materials. We investigated the influence of the cellulose/polystyrene ratio on the density, porosity, pore volume, and water uptake of the obtained sponge materials. The sample containing 70 wt.% of cellulose demonstrated the best water absorption properties while preserving its shape, even after 24 h of floating on water. The produced sponge materials might be employed as sorption materials for the purification and desalination of waters of various origins, filtration, and collection of undesirable elements under specific industrial or natural conditions.

Modern varieties of white lupin can be an alternative to soy in overcoming vegetable protein deficiency: to produce or import? Unlike soybeans, lupin seeds do not contain trypsin inhibitors; they don’t need heat treatment to be used in feed. Lupin has a high attachment of beans. It is drought-resistant, adapted to environmental conditions with insufficient moisture. The formation of seedlings is a critical period in the ontogeny of lupin, preceding sprouting. At this time, parameters of seedlings such as the speed and vigor, density, distribution uniformity on the soil surface are determined. The objective is to determine the dynamic characteristics of seedlings of white and blue lupin seeds by alterations in the wet and dry weight of the seedling and its individual organs in laboratory and field experiments. In the laboratory experiments, seeds of white and blue lupins were germinated on sifted and calcined sand, moistened to 80% of the total moisture capacity at 20 ºC. On the 4th and 7th days, the wet and dry weight per 100 seedlings, morphological alterations in the seedling bodies and their mass were determined, as well as the expenditure of seed reserve nutrients for the formation of seedlings was calculated. In field experiment, the same parameters of seedlings were determined, considering their laboratory germination (according to the number of viable seeds per 1 m row). The formation features of seedlings of white and blue lupins in laboratory and field experiments have been studied. The certain features influencing the parameters of seedlings in field during the critical "sowing-seedlings” period have been determined.

A bioaffinity-based method for the determination of adrenaline and dopamine involving immobilized renatured DNA incorporated into the amperometric biosensor was developed. With the help of spectrophometry and voltammetry data, it was found that the composition of complexes formed with catecholamines and their stability constants were changing with concentration from [КАL2] to [КА2L], where КА – catecholamine, L – base pare, and lg βeff = 10.1–13.5. The high affinity of adrenaline and dopamine to the immobilized renatured DNA molecule was revealed, thereby making it possible to run effective concentration of KA from the analyzed solutions of low concentration including multicomponent fluids. The minimum reporting level was found to be 5.5·10–9 (adrenaline) and 2.0·10–8 (dopamin) mol/L, respectively. The proposed method is characterized by high sensitivity, reproducibility (relative accuracy does not exceed 5%), and single determination time shorter than 30 min.

The breeding program for creating cultivars of white lupin with a determinant type of growth and the study of the dynamic parameters of the yield formation was carried out in many years of research in the northern part of the Central-Chernozem region of Russia. Experiments were conducted at the experimental field in Tambov region. Cultivar is one of the main components of resource-saving technologies. For the first time in Russia, under these conditions, cultivars of white lupin with a determinant type of growth were created. Among them are Start, Gamma, Delta, Dega, Deter1, Timiryazevskiy with different plant architectonics.

Modern soybean varieties of the northern ecotype are grown in the Central Region of the Russian Federation, which is important for solving the problem of vegetable protein deficiency and food security. Stressful weather conditions at certain stages of the growing season (drought, lack of heat) can have a strong effect on the yield formation and the maturity of soybeans. The article presents the results of a field experiment on the effect of stressful weather conditions of the 2019 season and the use of biologically active substances on the growth, development and formation of soybean elements of productivity in Moscow region.

Currently there are six locations of Cretaceous continental fauna and flora in Amur region: Blagoveshchensk, Kundur and Astashikha, Gilchin, Dim, Bureinsky Belogory. Gilchin is the location of the Cretaceous dinosaurs, the potential of which still requires evaluation. The article provides new information about the history of its discovery, as well as the description of the fossils from the Gilchin collection presented in the exposition of the Paleontological Museum of the Amur Scientific Center of the Far East Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The fauna of Gilchin, established by fossil bone remains, includes hadrosaurs, carnivorous dinosaurs, a dinosaur whose identity it is difficult to determine, and turtles (Trionychidae indet). Most of the definable bone remains of the collection belong to the hadrosaurs. In terms of preservation, the fossil material is close to that of the Chinese locations of Ulaga and Jiayin / Longu Shan. The article assumes similarity of the genesis of the locations of Gilchin and Jiayin / Longu Shan (China).

Among them are Start, Gamma, Delta, Dega, Deter1, Timiryazevskiy with different plant architectonics. Care adapted to the conditions of the region, ripen steadily, and grain yield of 3-5 ton ha-1. Agrocenosis is a photosynthetic system functions from emergence to beginning of maturity including four biologically distinct periods of crop formation: I- emergence - the beginning of flowering; II- flowering and pod formation; III- pod growth; and IV- seed filling. The length of the periods and the dynamic parameters of the yield formation of white lupin for each period were determined. Among the parameters were the leaf area index (LAI), the total dry matter accumulation (TDM), the crop growth rate (CGR), leaf area duration (LAD), net assimilation rate (NAR), and yield components. Period II was critical in yield formation. Variability of parameters was determined in connection with weather conditions and seed yield. The conducted studies made it possible for white lupin cultivars with determinant type of growth to find out dynamic pattern of yield formation and to estimate the degree of effect of weather conditions on dynamic parameters and seed productivity. A series of cobalt (Co) and its oxides based nanoparticles were synthesized by using hyperbranched polyester polyol Boltorn H20 as a platform and sodium borohydride as a reducing agent. UV, FT-IR, XRD, NTA, and TEM methods were employed to obtain physicochemical characteristics of the products. The average diameter of Co nanoparticles was approximately 8.2±3.4 nm. Their magnetic properties, including hysteresis loop, field-cooled, and zero field-cooled curves were investigated. The nanoparticles exhibit superparamagnetism at room temperature, accompanied by magnetic hysteresis below the blocking temperature.

An impedimetric aptasensor for ochratoxin A (OTA) detection has been developed on the base of a gold electrode covered with a new modifier consisting of electropolymerized Neutral Red and a mixture of Au nanoparticles suspended in the dendrimeric polymer Botlorn H30®. Thiolated aptamer specific to OTA was covalently attached to Au nanoparticles via Au-S bonding. The interaction of the aptamer with OTA induced the conformational switch of the aptamer from linear to guanine quadruplex form followed by consolidation of the surface layer and an increase of the charge transfer resistance. The aptasensor makes it possible to detect from 0.1 to 100 nM of OTA (limit of detection: 0.02 nM) in the presence of at least 50 fold excess of ochratoxin B. The applicability of the aptasensor for real sample assay was confirmed by testing spiked beer samples. The recovery of 2 nM OTA was found to be 70% for light beer and 78% for dark beer.
