Moodle quizzes are a convenient way of online assessment, benefiting both teachers and students. Unfortunately, their preparation is slow, cumbersome, and error-prone. In addition to the effort of designing the questions, it is necessary to enter them in Moodle. Furthermore, for questions that require images, these must first be created and then uploaded to Moodle. If this process has to be repeated with many questions, the required work becomes prohibitive. This paper presents a tool that solves all these problems, allowing the automatic and massive generation of questions for the evaluation of the knowledge about lexical analysis algorithms. The evaluation of these algorithms is relevant in the subjects of both automata and formal languages and in those of compiler design. The tool allows the creation of exercises of configurable complexity, after which the text, tables, and associated images are generated for quick upload to Moodle. The main impact of this tool is the substantial reduction of question preparation time, reducing hundreds or thousands of interactions with Moodle forms to just a few simple steps. In addition, the ease of question generation makes it possible to prepare self-assessment questionnaires for the students, something that they greatly appreciate as a study aid. - Abstract
During this period, the subject matter has evolved, changing the scope and topic of the papers, depending on the progress of computer science and its teaching at university level. The unsupervised text-based learning technique, known as the topic model, improves the understanding of large amounts of textual data by grouping documents into topics. This paper applies this technique by processing the complete proceedings of JENUI with its 1745 documents. Starting from the extraction of text from titles and abstracts, the Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) algorithm is applied, estimating the optimal number of topics. The work constructs a topic classifier with the JENUI articles. In addition, it analyses the distribution of topics and the probabilities of the terms of each topic together with the topic evolution of the papers over time. From a more objective and scientific perspective, it is concluded that there is a thematic evolution over the 27 editions with JENUI proceedings.

- Abstract
This article presents the VASS teaching tool, a web application designed to facilitate the teaching of semisupervised learning algorithms, a relatively new technique in machine learning that, in addition to labeled data, uses unlabeled data to improve the performance of machine learning models. This is especially necessary in those contexts where the acquisition of labeled data is laborious or very expensive. VASS (Visualizer of semisupervised Algorithms) has an intuitive interface that allows users to train and visualize the inner workings of four key semisupervised algorithms: Self-Training, Co-Training, Tri-Training and Democratic Co-Learning. The application has been developed with its usefulness in educational environments in mind, providing students and teachers with a valuable tool to explore and understand these fundamental concepts. VASS not only seeks to improve the accessibility of semisupervised algorithms, but also to foster a deeper understanding of their functionality.

- Abstract
The consolidation of telerehabilitation for the treatment of many diseases over the last decades is a consequence of its cost-effective results and its ability to offer access to rehabilitation in remote areas. Telerehabilitation operates over a distance, so vulnerable patients are never exposed to unnecessary risks. Despite its low cost, the need for a professional to assess therapeutic exercises and proper corporal movements online should also be mentioned. The focus of this paper is on a telerehabilitation system for patients suffering from Parkinson’s disease in remote villages and other less accessible locations. A full-stack is presented using big data frameworks that facilitate communication between the patient and the occupational therapist, the recording of each session, and real-time skeleton identification using artificial intelligence techniques. Big data technologies are used to process the numerous videos that are generated during the course of treating simultaneous patients. Moreover, the skeleton of each patient can be estimated using deep neural networks for automated evaluation of corporal exercises, which is of immense help to the therapists in charge of the treatment programs., This work was supported by project PI19/00670 of the Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades, Instituto de Salud Carlos III, Spain. [EN] Understanding the scientific and social structure of a discipline is a fundamental aspect for scientific evaluation processes, identifying trends and niches, and balancing the trade-off between exploitation and exploration in research. In the present contribution, the production of doctoral theses is used as a proxy to analyze the scientific structure of the knowledge area of business organization in Spain. To that end, a complex networks approach is selected, and two different networks are built: (i) the social network of co-participation in thesis examining committees and thesis supervision, and (ii) a bipartite network of theses and thesis descriptors. The former has a modular structure that is partially explained by thematic specialization in different subdisciplines. The latter serves to assess the interdisciplinary structure of the discipline, as it enables the characterization of affinity levels between fields, research poles and thematic clusters. Our results have implications for the scientific evaluation and formal definition of related fields., The authors acknowledge financial support from the and Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation Universities (RED2018-102518-T), the Spanish State Research Agency (PID2020118906GB-I00 and PID2020-119894GB-I00 via AEI/10.13039/501100011033), the Junta de Castilla y León – Consejería de Educación (BU055P20), Fundación La Caixa (2020/00062/001) and from NVIDIA Corporation and its donation of the TITAN Xp GPUs that facilitated this research. - Abstract
Background and Purpose: Adopting telemedicine (TM) enables improved access to specialized care and reduces barriers. The aim was to assess the cost-utility of a coadjutant multidisciplinary TM programme for fall prevention compared to standard in-office visits for individuals with Parkinson's disease (PD)., Methods: This was an 8-month single-blind randomized controlled trial. TM and control groups received in-office visits and standard management care at baseline, 4 and 8 months. In addition, the TM group received remote multidisciplinary visits for 4 months. Gait, motor and non-motor symptoms, daily living activities, balance and frailty were measured using PD-recommended rating scales and wearable sensors. Clinical characteristics were compared at each visit using baseline scores, gender and age as covariates. The incremental cost-effectiveness ratio (ICER) and quality-adjusted life years (QALYs) were calculated at each visit., Results: Fifty patients were included: 25 patients in the TM group (48% males, mean age 71.1 ± 9.0 years) and 25 patients in the control group (52% males, mean age 69.2 ± 9.4 years). Compared to controls, in the TM group similar QALYs were found but, in contrast, significant improvements in daily living activities, depression, apathy, freezing of gait, balance, quality of life and frailty (all p values <0.05). The use of coadjutant TM intervention in addition to in-office visits was efficient for depression, apathy, freezing of gait, balance and frailty with ICERs, ranging from 91.55 € for non-motor symptoms to 1677.4 € for frailty., Conclusions: Telemedicine could be considered an efficient coadjutant intervention for PD, especially for non-motor symptoms, enhancing health outcomes and accessibility., (© 2025 The Author(s).
