Ya alrededor del año 2000 se acuñó la expresión muerte por PowerPoint para expresar el sentimiento de saturación que este tipo de conferencias, apoyadas en las tecnologías multimedia pero deficientemente elaboradas, han llegado a provocar entre los profesionales de la empresa.
