The value of research data (RD) is recognized by researchers, academic authorities, and funders. One of the major concerns of libraries and managers when approaching to RD is preservation, thus deal with legal requirements. The benefits of making available these data are: reproducibility, reuse and transparency and accountability. Two well-known phrases summarize the picture: "Data is the new oil" (Arthur, 2013) and "The value of data lies in its use" (NRC, 1995). The problem when gathering data for preservation and reuse is that there are different methods for collecting data as there are many disciplines or even research groups working with different techniques for harvest data plus research datasets are sometimes deposited in databases or associated with the scientific article (Peset & González, 2017). In the face of this heterogeneity, we have created a harvester capable to track enriched files in databases and journals: OPENDATASCIENCE HODS/rd Harvester Open Data Science / Research Data, funded by the Spanish National R+D Program (CS02012-39632-C02-02 and CSO2015-65594-C2-1R). This poster presents the beginning, procedures and results of HODS/rd (2012-2016), being part of one DATASEA project deliverable. We present the history of the inventories, the evolution of ours ODiSEA registry to compile the url of journals that are accepting supplementary data, and also repositories. HODS/rd intents to discover enriched files to solve the problem of finding and accessing supplementary material publish within the academic papers. We have taken a close look at valuable recommended practices by NISO/NFAIS Working Group on Supplemental Journal Material (2013). We present our HODS/rd at IDCC18 to hear from the stakeholders of open science and research data.
