Point cloud registration is a fundamental task in computer vision and graphics, which is widely used in 3D reconstruction, object tracking, and atlas reconstruction. Learning-based optimization and deep learning methods have been widely developed in pairwise registration due to their own distinctive advantages. Deep learning methods offer greater flexibility and enable registering unseen point clouds that are not trained. Learning-based optimization methods exhibit enhanced robustness and stability when handling registration under various perturbations, such as noise, outliers, and occlusions. To leverage the strengths of both approaches to achieve a less time-consuming, robust, and stable registration for multiple instances, we propose a novel computational framework called SGRTmreg for multiple pairwise registrations in this paper. The SGRTmreg framework utilizes three components—a Searching scheme, a learning-based optimization method called Graph-based Reweighted discriminative optimization (GRDO), and a Transfer module to achieve multi-instance point cloud registration.Given a collection of instances to be matched, a template as a target point cloud, and an instance as a source point cloud, the searching scheme selects one point cloud from the collection that closely resembles the source. GRDO then learns a sequence of regressors by aligning the source to the target, while the transfer module stores and applies the learned regressors to align the selected point cloud to the target and estimate the transformation of the selected point cloud. In short, SGRTmreg harnesses a shared sequence of regressors to register multiple point clouds to a target point cloud. We conduct extensive registration experiments on various datasets to evaluate the proposed framework. The experimental results demonstrate that SGRTmreg achieves multiple pairwise registrations with higher accuracy, robustness, and stability than the state-of-the-art deep learning and traditional registration methods. Objective To observe the effect of transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1) on the migration of oral carcinoma associated fibroblasts (CAFs) with two-dimensional culture model and three-dimensional model.Methods Under two-dimensional culture conditions, CAFs stimulated by TGF-β1 with the addition of 10 ng/mL medium were used as the experimental group, and untreated CAFs were used as the control group. The migration of CAFs with the stimulation of TGF-β1 was measured by cell scratch assay and transwell assay. CAFs positive for green fluorescent protein (GFP) were cultured by retrovirus transfection. Human tongue squamous cell carcinoma cells SCC25, GFP(+) CAFs and CAFs with three-dimensional cell co-culture models were established. The three-dimensional model cultured under the stimulation of TGF-β1 with 10 ng/mL medium was used as the experimental group, and the three-dimensional model without TGF-β1 was used as the control group. The migration of CAFs with the stimulation of TGF-β1 was also measured by the three-dimensional models.Results It was verified that 10 ng/mL TGF-β1 promoted the migration of CAFs in the two-dimensional culture model. The three-dimensional co-culture models of SCC25, GFP(+) CAFs and CAFs were successfully established. The migration of SCC25 and CAFs was detected in the three-dimensional model. However, 10 ng/mL TGF-β1 had little effect on their migration.Conclusion The effect of TGF-β1 in vitro on the migration of oral CAFs was associated with different culture models in two and three dimensions.

Abstract Background The purpose of this study was to assess the expression levels for TβRI, TβRII, and TβRIII in epithelial layers of oral premalignant lesions (oral leukoplakia, OLK) and oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC), as well as in oral carcinoma-associated fibroblasts (CAFs), with the final goal of exploring the roles of various types of TβRs in carcinogenesis of oral mucosa. Methods Normal oral tissues, OLK, and OSCC were obtained from 138 previously untreated patients. Seven primary human oral CAF lines and six primary normal fibroblast (NF) lines were established successfully via cell culture. The three receptors were detected using immunohistochemical (IHC), quantitative RT-PCR, and Western blot approaches. Results IHC signals for TβRII and TβRIII in the epithelial layer decreased in tissue samples with increasing disease aggressiveness (P < 0.05); no expression differences were observed for TβRI, in OLK and OSCC (P > 0.05); and TβRII and TβRIII were significantly downregulated in CAFs compared with NFs, at the mRNA and protein levels (P < 0.05). Exogenous expression of TGF-β1 led to a remarkable decrease in the expression of TβRII and TβRIII in CAFs (P < 0.05). Conclusion This study provides the first evidence that the loss of TβRII and TβRIII expression in oral epithelium and stroma is a common event in OSCC. The restoration of the expression of TβRII and TβRIII in oral cancerous tissues may represent a novel strategy for the treatment of oral carcinoma.

Objective To evaluate the anesthetic effects and safety of Cow-Gates technique of inferior, alveolar nerve block in impacted mandibuiar third molar extraction. Methods A split-mouth study was designed. The bilateral impacted mandibular third molar of 32 participants were divided into Cow-Gates technique of inferior alveolar nerve block (Cow-Gates group) and conventional technique of inferior alveolar nerve block (conventional group) randomly with third molar extracted. The anesthetic effects and adverse events were recorded. Results All the participants completed the research. The anesthetic success rate was 96.9% in Gow-Gates group and 90.6% in conventional group with no statistical difference (P=0.317); but when comparing the anesthesia grade, Cow-Gates group had a 96.9% of grade A and B, and 'conventional group had a rate of 78.1% (P=0.034). And the Cow-Gates group had a much lower withdrawn bleeding than conventional group (P=0.025). Two groups had no hematoma. Conclusion Cow-Gates technique had a reliable anesthesia effects and safety in impacted mandibular third molar extraction and could be chosen as a candidate for the conventional inferior alveolar nerve block. Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the indication and therapeutic effects of Pingyangmycin injection as a primary therapy of lymphangiomas in oral, maxillofacial and cervical region., Methods: A total of 195 patients (106 males and 89 females) with lymphangiomas in oral and maxillofacial regions were treated in the affiliated dental hospital of Sichuan University from May 1990 to December 2000. The patients' ages ranged from 0.5 to 46 years. The tongue was the most commonly involved site, followed by the cheek and the neck. The 200 lymphangiomas (5 patients had 2 lymphangiomas in different sites) underwent the therapy of Pingyangmycin, which was injected as with 1 mg/ml in saline. The total dose of Pingyangmycin ranged from 5 mg to 70 mg and 5 to 58 times, 1 time per 2-4 weeks., Results: The curative rate of cystic-type lymphangiomas was the highest. Of the 51 cystic lymphangiomas, 110 capillary lymphangiomas, 18 cavernous lymphangiomas and 21 combinations of capillary and cavenous lymphangiomas, the curative rates were respectively 100% (51), 46.36% (51), 16.16% (3) and 19.05% (4), which showed a significant therapeutic effect, respectively. And 40(78.43%), 19(17.27%), 2(11.11%) and 0(0%) of them completely disappeared. There was no serious side effect with Pingyangmycin-injection treatment, such as pulmonary fibrosis., Conclusion: The treatment of injection of Pingyangmycin is a selective primary method of lymphangiomas, which can reduce the size of lymphangiomas, and make them completely disappeared.
