Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of apatinib in the treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC). Methods Sixty-five patients with mCRC treated with apatinib were enrolled in this study for retrospective analysis. The factors affecting the recent effective, progression-free survival (PFS) and adverse reactions were evaluated. Results The disease control rate in 63 evaluable patients was 69.9%. The median PFS for patients received first-line, second-line, and third-line and above apatinib treatment were 9.3 months, 5.8 months, and 3.3 months, respectively(P＜0.001). The PFS in the apatinib group and the apatinib/chemotherapy combination group in the third-line and above treatment were 2.9 months and 3.3 months, respectively. There was no significant difference in serum cholinesterase and albumin concentrations between patients with liver metastasis before and after treatment. Adverse reactions were mainly grade 1 to 2 hypertension, proteinuria, myelosuppression and hand-foot syndrome. Conclusions Apatinib is an effective treatment with controllable toxicity for mCRC, which has mild adverse effect on liver reserve function.

In this study, we present detrital zircon U--Pb ages and Hf isotopic data and whole-rock geochemical data from meta-sedimentary rocks of the Jiangyu Group in eastern Jilin Province (Northeast China) to constrain the late Silurian--Early Devonian tectonic evolution of the southeastern Xing'an-Mongolia Orogenic Belt. Two samples of the meta-sedimentary rocks from the Jiangyu Group yielded concordant ages ranging from 2926 to 415 Ma, and the youngest zircon populations of the two samples yielded weighted mean ages of 427 [+ or -] 3 and 426 [+ or -] 3 Ma, respectively. Combined with reliable published muscovite [.sup.40]Ar-[.sup.39]Ar ages of 408 Ma from the overlying metamorphic ophiolitic mélange, these data indicate that the protoliths of the Jiangyu Group were deposited during the late Silurian--Early Devonian Era. A comparison of the U--Pb ages and Hf isotopic data for detrital zircons from northeastern Gondwana and the Jiangyu Group indicates a probable tectonic affinity. The whole-rock geochemical data indicate that the protoliths of the meta-sedimentary rocks from the Jiangyu Group were graywackes deposited in a continental arc setting. Based on the recognition of the early to middle Paleozoic subduction-accretion events along the eastern segment of the northern margin of the North China Craton (NCC), we infer that the subduction-accretion events may have occurred in the Yanbian area followed by one or more arc-continent collisions after the Early Devonian. In this study, we present new zircon U-Pb and Hf isotope data and geochemical analyses for Jurassic igneous rocks from the southern Zhangguangcai Range, NE China. In the context of our new U/Pb data together with other published data (n = 165), we recognize three major magmatic pulses in the eastern Songnen Block during the Jurassic: earliest Jurassic (200–195 Ma), late Early Jurassic (183–175 Ma) and early Late Jurassic (ca. 163 Ma). According to the petrological classification scheme, rocks are divided into two categories of andesite and I-type granitoids. Generally, Early Jurassic monzogranites have more evolved compositions with SiO2, Al2O3, and K2O+Na2O concentrations of 67–74 wt.%, 13.28–17.04 wt.% and 7.25–9.31 wt.%, respectively than Late Jurassic granodiorite. Early Jurassic andesite has SiO2, Al2O3, Na2O+K2O contents of 54.64–56 wt.%, 17.27–17.44 wt.% and 3.47–4.06 wt.%, respectively with low Mg# values of 0.18–0.26. In addition, all samples show enrichment in light rare earth elements (LREEs) and large-ion lithophile elements (LILEs) but depletion in high strength field elements (HSFEs, such as Nb, Ta, P and Ti) and low Sr/Y and (La/Yb)N ratios, all of which are characteristic of arc-type magmatic signatures. In view of the Hf isotope signatures, these rocks show high initial 176Hf/177Hf ratios (0.282711–0.283069) corresponding to positive εHf(t) values (+0.39 to +13.66) and Neoproterozoic two-stage model ages (1154–550 Ma). In summary, the geochemical results suggest that the primary magmas of Jurassic granitoids were derived from variable degrees of partial melting of juvenile lower crust, whereas Early Jurassic andesite was derived from the partial melting of mantle wedge peridotite metasomatized by hydrous melts from subducting sediments and/or oceanic crust. The Jurassic arc-type magmatism in the eastern Songnen Block indicates that the Mudanjiang oceanic plate was still subducting in the Jurassic. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
