Car bumpers can deform to absorb impact energy. For static and modal analysis, a Benz vehicle bumper was used. These analyses used a variety of bumper materials, including glass-mat thermoplastic, aluminium alloy, and mild steel with chromium plating (GMT). The majority of modern cars have bumpers composed of PC/ABS, a material blend of polycarbonate (PC) and Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS). PETG, ABS, and TPU. The deformation and strains grow as the car's speed rises from 55 km/hr to 90 km/hr, according to the static study. At a car speed of 75 km/h, the deformation and stress in the automobile bumper were at their highest. It was found through the static analysis that the stress values for PP material were lower.

Major aspects that were considered while designing a structure are safety and serviceability. Serviceability is also called as life span of structure reduces, when exposed to severe environments. Solid waste management in developing nations has been growing everyday, which influenced the scientists and researchers around the world in recycling and application of solid waste in various fields. Introduction of waste and recycled fibers in concrete is quite prominent from last few decades. In this research, electric waster copper fibers (EWCF) are added to concrete to test mechanical properties and chloride ion penetration that could reduce the durability of concrete. Adopted percentages of copper fibers added to the concrete are 0, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1.00, 1.25, 1.50, 1.75 and 2.00 for volume of concrete. Concrete introduced with EWCF was tested for compression, tensile, flexural and elastic modulus to determine mechanical behavior. Most optimal EWCF percentage of replacement that increased the strength of concrete is 1.0% in volume of concrete. Water absorption, sorptivity, acid attack, bulk diffusion and rapid chloride penetration test (RCPT) were performed on concrete with EWCF to evaluate the durability and microstructure performance. E-Glass and Steel fibers were also adopted in the study to compare the mechanical properties and durability. Optimum values for both strength and durability were determined from the experimental test results.

This paper explains the combined effect of granite cutting waste and recycled concrete on the workability and mechanical properties of self compacting concrete. Experimental plan is divided in such a way that granite cutting waste is replaced with fine aggregate at 0, 20,40,60,80 and 100% proportions. Recycled concrete is replaced with the coarse aggregate starting from 20 to 100%. Total 36 mixes were designed to check the fresh and hardened properties. Slump flow and T500, v-funnel and L-box test are conducted to know the flow ability and passing ability of concrete. To study the hardened properties compressive strength, flexural strength test values are to be collected.

The main cause of reinforced concrete deterioration is chloride attack. Chloride ions penetrated into the concrete can destroy the passive layer around steel reinforcement provided by the high alkalinity and low pH of cement paste, activating electrochemical corrosion. Durable concrete gives more corrosion resistance of embedded steel that continuously ensures a stronger long life of the reinforced concrete structure. The concrete structures within the seashore areas allow chloride ions to easily penetrate into the concrete and reduce the life span of the structure. In this paper, the rapid chloride permeability test (RCPT) as per ASTM C1202 is presented to determine the chloride profile, concrete chloride resistivity and rate of corrosion. The specimens were prepared with concrete incorporating three different type fibres including steel, E-waste copper wire and E-glass fibres of 1.0% by volume of concrete. The RCPT was conducted for time period of 28 days, 56 days and 90 days. The final RCPT results of fibre-reinforced concrete mix with control mix concrete were compared. The test result shows that the E-glass fibre-reinforced concrete was more durable than the other concrete mixes.

Based on the early studies it is evident that fibre reinforced concrete exhibits good results in strength and workability compared to conventional concrete. This research work evaluates the practical corrosion resistance of rebar induced various forms of concrete reinforced with fibre. In this study, three multiple types of concrete reinforced with E-waste copper wire, steel fibre and E-Glass fibre at a constant percentage of 1% were used. To evaluate corrosion characteristics of rebar introduced in fibre reinforced concrete accelerated corrosion test and standard test method as per ASTM G109 were conducted. Test results were compared for all three types of fibre reinforced concrete. Results showed that E-Glass fibre reinforced concrete induced rebar is high corrosion resistivity compared to control concrete, steel fibre reinforced concrete and E-waste copper wire fibre reinforced concrete specimens.

Identification of crack or damage inside a structure is not possible with traditional methods. In this study piezoelectric sensors are introduced into structure using before placement of concrete and to be in precise sensors act as artificial aggregate. Specimen is taken under three point bending test. A damage characteristic of the beam is studied by using high-voltage pulse emitter, to give a electric signal and recording is made. Extensometer is used to measure the crack and images of the crack should be captured. Final results are plotted in digital image processing to conclude the damage characteristics.

Usage of smart materials in concrete is extensively increasing. This study focuses on behavior of fiber reinforced concrete, using shape memory alloys (SMA) fibers. SMA adopted for this study is NiTi shape memory alloy crystals. Concrete is tested for slump and mechanical properties tested are compressive strength for 7 and 28 days. Flexural strength is tested for 28 days. Constant rates of 1% of SMA fibers are added to the concrete mix. Also regular steel fiber reinforced is prepared and test values are compared with SMA fiber reinforced concrete.

Ductility of the beam is important phenomenon while calculating the strength of any structure. This paper discusses the ductile behavior of beam reinforced with super elastic shape memory alloys. Before initiating the experimental program preliminary properties of shape memory alloys (SMA) were defined and concrete properties are defined by casting standard cubes. Experimental program consists of two point load test on a beam reinforced with SMA. Beam is loaded to know the ultimate deflection. Load deflection characteristics and deformation of the beam are analysed to study the ductile characteristics.

Recycling of plastic is one of the major issues in the today’s world .In this paper, study is carried on properties on concrete using poly ethylene terephthalate waste fibers (PET). PET fibers are replaced with fine aggregate by 10,15,20,25 and 30%. Concrete is tested for fresh and hardened properties. Slump test is conducted to find out the workability of concrete. To check the mechanical properties of concrete compressive strength, flexural strength tests are conducted on concrete specimens.

This research paper gives the behaviour of reinforced concrete continuous beams under static loading by externally bonding with GFRP sheets. A standard two span continuous beams of size (300×300×2500)mm were casted. Reference beam with no external bonding is prepared to compare the values. Identical reinforcement arrangement is done for all beams. RC beams are tested for failure, load capacity and deflection analysis. Test results are compared for reference and GFRP bonded beams.

This paper concentrates on preparing concrete in which reverse osmosis waste water is incorporated in mixing and to cure. Experimental procedure consists of 4 mix proportions of various water cement ratios. Fresh concrete is tested for workability and flowing ability. Cubes were casted and tested to find out compressive strength of concrete. Test results of potable water concrete and RO waste water concrete were compared. Results show that workability of both the concretes is almost same. When coming to the compressive strength, RO waste water concrete shows less strength at 28days compared to normal concrete.

Solid waste disposition has been a growing problem in many developed and under-developing nations. Major part of development was constituted by construction and infrastructure; on the contrary these industries also lead to release of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. To overcome these disadvantages; in this research, recycled aggregates from construction waste and granite cutting waste were adopted as a replacement of coarse aggregate and cement respectively. Mechanical properties of recycled aggregate (RA) concrete are tested by replacing coarse aggregate varying from 0% to 100% with a difference of 25% and cement is replaced with Granite cutting waste (GCW) varying from 0% to 20% with a difference of 5%. Mix designation and fresh properties were also presented. Results were plotted and compared with the normal concrete to predict the most optimal values of the replacement. Mix containing 25% of RA and 15% of GCW replaced has shown a notable difference in strength comparing with the normal aggregate concrete.
