The exploration of biocompatible materials has received greater significance in the research area of energy storage tools. In the present work, a composite material consisting of carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) with CuO@MnO2 is synthesized via thermal reduction protocol. The resulting composite material exhibited unique morphology and excellent electrochemical properties. The electrochemical properties were premeditated by CV, GCD, and spectral impedance analysis. Electrochemical analyses of the composite materials indicated the extraordinary specific capacitance in a three-electrode configuration. The composite displayed the value of ~414 F/g at a current density of 0.5 A g−1 and the electrodes retaining 96.2% capacitance after 5000 cycles. Therefore, our study demonstrated the synergistic effect of CuO@MnO2 nanoparticles with porous CMC network structures show enhanced electrochemical properties in the presence of 3 M KOH as an electrolyte.

Biocatalysts, including live microbial cells/enzymes, have been considered a predominant and advantageous tool for effectively transforming biomass into biofuels and valued biochemicals. However, high production costs, separation, and reusability limit its practical application. Immobilization of single and multi-enzymes by employing different nano-supports have gained massive attention because of its elevated exterior domain and high enzymatic performance. Application of nanobiocatalyst can overcome the drawbacks mainly, stability and reusability, thus reflecting the importance of biomass-based biorefinery to make it profitable and sustainable. This review provides an in-depth, comprehensive analysis of nanobiocatalysts systems concerning nano supports and biocatalytic performance characteristics. Furthermore, the effects of nanobiocatalyst on waste biomass to biofuel and valued bioproducts in the biorefinery approach and their critical assessment are discussed. Lastly, this review elaborates commercialization and market outlooks of the bioconversion process using nanobiocatalyst, followed by different strategies to overcome the limitations and future research directions on nanobiocatalytic-based industrial bioprocesses.

Generally, plant growth, development, and their productivity are mainly affected by their growth rate and also depend on environmental factors such as temperature, pH, humidity, and light. The interaction between plants and pathogens are highly specific. Such specificity is well characterized by plants and pathogenic microbes in the form of a molecular signature such as pattern-recognition receptors (PRRs) and microbes-associated molecular patterns (MAMPs), which in turn trigger systemic acquired immunity in plants. A number of Arabidopsis mutant collections are available to investigate molecular and physiological changes in plants under the presence of different light conditions. Over the past decade(s), several studies have been performed by selecting Arabidopsis thaliana under the influence of red, green, blue, far/far-red, and white light. However, only few phenotypic and molecular based studies represent the modulatory effects in plants under the influence of green and blue lights. Apart from this, red light (RL) actively participates in defense mechanisms against several pathogenic infections. This evolutionary pattern of light sensitizes the pathologist to analyze a series of events in plants during various stress conditions of the natural and/or the artificial environment. This review scrutinizes the literature where red, blue, white, and green light (GL) act as sensory systems that affects physiological parameters in plants. Generally, white and RL are responsible for regulating various defense mechanisms, but, GL also participates in this process with a robust impact! Cellulose-based water filters are an affordable alternative to remove particulate matter; however, bacteria are too small to be removed simply through size exclusion. Cellulose-based water filters prepared by layer-by-layer (LBL) assembly with polypropylene-polyethylene (PP/PE) fabric decorated with silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) were tested to remove bacteria from water samples. The gallic acid reduction method was used to produce potent antibacterial AgNPs; their decoration onto PP/PE woven fabrics and the preparation of five-layered paper filters were further investigated. The use of acidic conditions for loading AgNPs and improving their spatial distribution onto the PP/PE fabrics, as revealed by scanning electron microscopy, was found to be correlated with the fabrics’ antibacterial activity. The PP/PE fabrics decorated with a higher density of AgNPs (at pH 2) showed 96.7 % and 97.9 % reductions in the growth of E. coli and S. aureus, respectively. Similarly, paper filters fabricated by LBL assembly of AgNP@PP/PE fabrics with cellulose filters deactivated growing E. coli and S. aureus bacteria with good efficiency: approximately 99.4 % and 98.7 %, respectively. The results indicate that fabricating water purification filters from the cellulose-based paper is feasible with LBL type assembly. The assembled paper filters could be commercialized for point-of-use water purification in the future to prevent the spread of water-borne diseases.

A survey is done to gain a general idea in the development of various nickel based anode electrocatalysts for ethanol electrooxidation reaction. Platinum and other noble metal electrocatalysts are very well known but their cost and scarcity is a major issue hampering its use on a commercial level. Apart from cost, the poisoning of noble metal electrocatalysts due to CO is also another issue. These issues can be tackled by partially or fully replacing the noble metal electrocatalysts by non-noble metal electrocatalysts. The use of electrocatalytically active non-noble metal like nickel provides an excellent alternative. Hence, major thrust is laid upon the use of nickel in the form of either as a single or a complementary element in the electrocatalysts containing two (binary), three (ternary), four (quaternary) or more noble and/or non-noble metals to improve the electrocatalytic activity for ethanol electrooxidation reaction. The quality of an electrocatalyst is decided on a number of factors. Onset potential and current density are the two main parameters representing the activity of electrocatalysts. Complete oxidation of ethanol to give CO2 is a major requirement to extract maximum current. Literature survey shows that support, synthesis approaches and elemental compositions greatly contributes to enhance the electrocatalytic performance of nickel based electrocatalysts towards ethanol electrooxidation reaction.

Metal chelation-enhanced changes in surface plasmon resonance (SPR) band of gallic acid-functionalized AgNP solution to monitor aluminum ions (Al3+) is reported herein. In aqueous solution, Al3+ selectively induced a strong absorbance with large shifts up to ∼125 nm from the SPR band with color changing from orange to red. This study illustrates that hydroxyl groups of phenol affect the response of a probe that tunes the absorbance maxima to a longer wavelength at 525 nm. Moreover, the rapid formation of a AgNP-Al3+ coordination complex was demonstrated by real-time monitoring, adsorptive removal, and energy dispersive spectroscopy mapping.

Morphological forms of ZnO nanostructures play a vital role in deciding properties such as high internal surface area, efficient light scattering and harvesting, lowest charge transfer resistance, etc. which are important for photoelectrochemical (PEC) performance. Herein successful deposition of well oriented ZnO nanorods thin films over fluorine doped tin oxide (FTO) coated glass substrate is achieved by using simple, soft solution and scalable method known as successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction (SILAR). For the first time a compact ZnO layer over large area is deposited in one step synthesis approach, without any assistance of seed layer, by using hydrazine hydrate as a source of hydroxyl ions. The plausible growth mechanism of the morphological variation (alignment and orientation) happening with increasing SILAR cycles and its consequence on PEC performance are discussed in detail. All ZnO thin films show wurtzite crystal structure, however variations in their texture coefficients were found with SILAR cycles, which turns out to be a major aspect for PEC application. Anodic shift was observed in flat band potential values with increment in number of SILAR cycles. The ZnO thin films deposited for 120 cycles showed preferential orientation along (0002) plane and showed better PEC performance with photocurrent of 0.19 mA/cm2 (1 V) and maximum photo conversion efficiency of 0.084% at 0.45 V. On the other hand, film deposited for 60 (photocurrent of 0.11 mA/cm2 (1 V); efficiency of 0.055%) and 180 cycles (photocurrent of 0.15 mA/cm2 (1 V); efficiency of 0.063%) demonstrated inferior PEC performance.

Excessive generation of wastewater is a matter of concern around the globe. Wastewater treatment utilizing a microalgae-mediated process is considered an eco-friendly and sustainable method of wastewater treatment. However, low biomass productivity, costly harvesting process, and energy extensive cultivation process are the major bottleneck. The use of the microalgal-bacteria granular consortia (MBGC) process is economic and requires less energy. For efficient utilization of MBGC, knowledge of its structure, composition and interaction are important. Various microscopic, molecular and metabolomics techniques play a significant role in understating consortia structure and interaction between partners. Microalgal-bacteria granular consortia structure is affected by various cultivation parameters like pH, temperature, light intensity, salinity, and the presence of other pollutants in wastewater. In this article, a critical evaluation of recent literature was carried out to develop an understanding related to interaction behavior that can help to engineer consortia having efficient nutrient removal capacity with reduced energy consumption.

This study explored the potential of abundantly available sodium lignosulfonate (LS) as a reducer and fabricating agent in preparing silver nanoparticles (LS–Ag NPs). The operational conditions were optimized to make the synthesis process simpler, rapid, and eco-friendly. The prepared LS–Ag NPs were analyzed via UV–Vis spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. Results demonstrated that LS–Ag NPs were of crystalline structure, capped with LS constituents, and spherical in shape with a size of approximately 20 nm. Under optimized conditions, LS–Ag NPs exhibited significant photocatalytic activity in Reactive Yellow 4G degradation. The effects of photocatalyst (LS–Ag NPs) dosage, dye concentration, and its reusability for dye degradation were studied to make the process practically applicable in textile wastewater treatment. Additionally, the synthesized LS–Ag NPs displayed significant free radical scavenging against 2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) with an IC50 value of (50.2 ± 0.70 µg/mL) and also exhibited antidiabetic activity in terms of inhibition in the activity of carbohydrate-degrading marker enzyme α-glucosidase with an IC50 value of (58.1 ± 0.65 µg/mL). LS–Ag NPs showed substantial antibacterial potential against pathogenic strains, namely E. coli and S. aureus. In conclusion, LS–Ag NPs can be a reliable and eco-friendly material for their possible application in the treatment of dye-containing wastewater and have a great perspective in the biomedical and pharmaceutical sectors.

In nanoscience, the “green” synthesis approach has received great interest as an eco-friendly and sustainable method for the fabrication of a wide array of nanoparticles. The present study accounts for an expeditious technique for the synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) utilizing fruit waste grape pomace extracted tannin. Grape pomace tannin (Ta) involved in the reduction and capping of AgNPs and leads to the formation of stable Ta-AgNPs. Various conditions were attempted to optimize the particle size and morphology of Ta-AgNPs which was further analyzed using various analytical tools for different characteristic motives. UV-visible spectroscopy showed a characteristic peak at 420 nm, indicating successful synthesis of AgNPs. Energy disperses spectroscopy (EDS) analysis proved the purity of the produced Ta-AgNPs and manifested a strong signal at −2.98 keV, while Fourier-transform infrared spectrophotometer (FTIR) spectra of the Ta-AgNPs displayed the existence of functional groups of tannin. Zeta potential measurements (−28.48 mV) showed that the Ta-AgNPs have reasonably good stability. High resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM) analysis confirmed the average dimension of the synthesized NPs was estimated about 15–20 nm. Ta-AgNPs potentials were confirmed by in vitro antidiabetic activity to constrain carbohydrate digesting enzymes, mainly α-amylase and α-glucosidase, with a definite concentration of sample displaying 50% inhibition (IC50), which is about 43.94 and 48.5 μg/mL, respectively. Synthesized Ta-AgNPs exhibited significant antioxidant potential with respect to its 2,2′-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothi-azoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS) (IC50 of 40.98 µg/mL) and 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) (IC50 of 53.98 µg/mL) free radical scavenging activities. Ta-AgNPs exhibited extraordinary antibacterial activity against selected pathogenic strains and showed comparable antimicrobial index against ampicillin as a positive control.

Global energy consumption has been increasing in tandem with economic growth motivating researchers to focus on renewable energy sources. Dark fermentative hydrogen synthesis utilizing various biomass resources is a promising, less costly, and less energy-intensive bioprocess relative to other biohydrogen production routes. The generated acidogenic dark fermentative effluent [e.g., volatile fatty acids (VFAs)] has potential as a reliable and sustainable carbon substrate for polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) synthesis. PHA, an important alternative to petrochemical based polymers has attracted interest recently, owing to its biodegradability and biocompatibility. This review illustrates methods for the conversion of acidogenic effluents (VFAs), such as acetate, butyrate, propionate, lactate, valerate, and mixtures of VFAs, into the value-added compound PHA. In addition, the review provides a comprehensive update on research progress of VFAs to PHA conversion and related enhancement techniques including optimization of operational parameters, fermentation strategies, and genetic engineering approaches. Finally, potential bottlenecks and future directions for the conversion of VFAs to PHA are outlined. This review offers insights to researchers on an integrated biorefinery route for sustainable and cost-effective bioplastics production.

Methyl orange (MO) dye is recalcitrant in nature, hard to degrade and if released into the soil and aquatic resources could cause serious threats on environment and human health. MO is toxic to plant growth. Bacterial treatment may be a sustainable solution for its degradation and decolourization. In this work, a bacterium (RKS6) was isolated from textile industry wastewater and sludge samples and identified as Pseudomonas aeruginosa based on the 16S rRNA gene sequencing analysis. RKS6 showed more than 99% decolorization of MO dye (100 mg/l) and 96% reduction of total organic carbon (TOC) within 12 h, at 30 °C, pH 7 at static conditions. RKS6 also produced MnP enzyme of molecular weight ∼53 kDa as characterized by the SDS-PAGE analysis. Further, LC-MS analysis showed that MO dye was degraded into 4-[(4-aminophenyl) diazenyl] benzene sulfonate, 4, 2-((dihydroxymethyl) hyrazono-4) 5-benzene sulfonate, 4-(triazan-2-yl) benzene sulfonic, water and carbon dioxide by RKS6. Toxicity assessment showed that the solution treated by the bacterium allowed 90% seed germination indicating that RKS6 was effective in mineralization and detoxification of MO dye and can be effectively used in industrial wastewater treatment.

In the current scenario of changing climatic conditions and the rising global population, there is an urgent need to explore novel, efficient, and economical natural products for the benefit of humankind. Biosurfactants are one of the latest explored microbial synthesized biomolecules that have been used in numerous fields, including agriculture, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food processing, and environment-cleaning industries, as a source of raw materials, for the lubrication, wetting, foaming, emulsions formulations, and as stabilizing dispersions. The amphiphilic nature of biosurfactants have shown to be a great advantage, distributing themselves into two immiscible surfaces by reducing the interfacial surface tension and increasing the solubility of hydrophobic compounds. Furthermore, their eco-friendly nature, low or even no toxic nature, durability at higher temperatures, and ability to withstand a wide range of pH fluctuations make microbial surfactants preferable compared to their chemical counterparts. Additionally, biosurfactants can obviate the oxidation flow by eliciting antioxidant properties, antimicrobial and anticancer activities, and drug delivery systems, further broadening their applicability in the food and pharmaceutical industries. Nowadays, biosurfactants have been broadly utilized to improve the soil quality by improving the concentration of trace elements and have either been mixed with pesticides or applied singly on the plant surfaces for plant disease management. In the present review, we summarize the latest research on microbial synthesized biosurfactant compounds, the limiting factors of biosurfactant production, their application in improving soil quality and plant disease management, and their use as antioxidant or antimicrobial compounds in the pharmaceutical industries.

In recent decades, the release of emerging pharmaceutical contaminants has been recognized as a challenging environmental issue. This study focuses on the adsorption of sulfamethoxazole (SMX) by pectin (Pec)-based bio-adsorbent. Pec was extracted from orange peel-waste biomass (OPB) by a microwave-assisted extraction method. Further, different concentrations of Pec from OPB (Pec-OPB); 0.5, 1, 2 and 4g were super-magnetized with Fe3O4 nanoparticles (denoted as Fe3O4@Pec-OPB(0.5g), Fe3O4@Pec-OPB(1g), Fe3O4@Pec-OPB(2g) and Fe3O4@Pec-OPB(4g), respectively). Among these synthesized bio-adsorbents, Fe3O4@Pec-OPB(1g) gave significant SMX adsorption and hence studied further in detail. Surface-morphology, structure, functional-groups, magnetic-property, and elemental-composition of facile of Fe3O4@Pec-OPB(1g) was characterized by standard analytical techniques. Different parameters for SMX adsorption on Fe3O4@Pec-OPB(1g) were investigated, such as optimal pH (4.0), kinetics (best-fitted pseudo-second-order kinetic model) and isotherm models (best-fitted Redlich-Peterson model). The maximum adsorption capacity (qm) of Fe3O4@Pec-OPB(1g) was 120 mg g−1 of SMX. Thermodynamic analysis corroborated the endothermic nature of the adsorption process. Therefore, the nano-bio-adsorbent Fe3O4@Pec-OPB(1g) exhibits excellent potential for capturing the SMX from water, suggesting that Fe3O4@Pec-OPB(1g) could be a viable option for adsorptive reclamation of hazardous cationic pollutants from water.

Highest third worldwide production of the agricultural product namely rice causes a huge quantity of waste residues especially, rice bran concurrently with rice husk. It fabricates the residual wastes nearly of about 31.9 MMT annually throughout the world and owing to the thermal point of view they are not easily upgradable due to high silica content. Meanwhile, rice bran after extrusion in broilers have been used to extract oil containing free fatty acids (FFAs) (15–30%) such as cis–9–, & cis–12–octadecadienoic and cis–9, cis–12 & cis–15–octadecatrienoic oils. Rice bran fatty oil methyl esters are suitably converted into biodiesel for compression ignition (CI) engines via transesterification path in the presence of Ni/H2 heterogeneous basic catalytical environment along with 4–methoxy–2–hydroxybenzalidene–p–toluidine promoter. Owing to significant viscous and volatile nature drawbacks of potential alternative first and second generation biofuels, there occur some troubles in their long application in CI engines could effectively minimized by such a catalytical pathway. The literature has been found a very little research on this oil as a potential substitute for petro–diesel. Finally, the produced rice bran based biodiesel was analyzed for its appropriateness as a fuel for CI engines. The outcomes explored the characteristics for the biodiesel extracted, under the most promising circumstances are resembling those of the petro–based fuels. The observed yields are high when compared to other enzymatic transesterification and homogeneous catalysis. In addition, in vitro microbial and antioxidant potentialities of RBOB were tested and compared with standard controls. Plants serve as appropriate markers of worldwide pollution because they are present in almost every corner of the globe and bioaccumulate xenobiotic chemicals from their environment. The potential of a semi-aquatic plant, Ipomoea aquatica, to uptake and metabolize sulfamethoxazole (SMX) was investigated in this study. I. aquatica exhibited 100% removal of 0.05 mg L−1 SMX from synthetic media within 30 h. The I. aquatica achieved 93, 77 and 72% removal of SMX at 0.2, 0.5 and 1 mg L−1, respectively, after 48 h. This indicated that removal efficiency of I. aquatica was deteriorating at high concentrations of SMX. The chlorophyll and carotenoid content of I. aquatica was insignificantly influenced by SMX irrespective of its high concentration. Similarly, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) showed that exposure to SMX had an insignificant impact on morphology of the plant organelles. The mechanisms of removal by I. aquatica were explored by evaluating contributions of bioadsorption, bioaccumulation and biodegradation. There was negligible adsorption of SMX to plant roots. Accumulation of SMX within plant roots and stems was not observed; however, I. aquatica accumulated 17% of SMX in leaves. Thus, the major mechanism of elimination of SMX was biodegradation, which accounted for 82% removal of SMX. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) confirmed that I. aquatica biodegraded SMX into simpler compounds, and generated 4-aminophenol as its final product. A laboratory scale phytoreactor was used to investigate the application of I. aquatica in a simulated system, where it achieved 49% removal of SMX (0.2 mg L−1) in 10 d.

Kenaf biomass (KB) was employed as feedstock for the synthesis of polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB) using Ralstonia eutropha to replace conventional petroleum-derived polymers. Various pretreatments followed by enzymatic saccharification were applied to release monomeric sugars from KB for PHB production. The effects of increasing concentration of Na2CO3 + Na2SO3 (NaC + NaS) pretreated KB hydrolysates (20–40 g/L) on PHB production were investigated. NaC + NaS pretreated KB hydrolysates (30 g/L) exhibited maximum 70.0% PHA accumulation, with PHB titers of 10.10 g/L and PHB yields of about 0.488 g/g of reducing sugar produced within 36 h of fermentation. PHA accumulation, PHB yield and R. eutropha growth performance using KB hydrolysates were found to be comparable with those of synthetic sugar mixture. Characterization of the produced PHB in terms of crystalline structure, and thermal properties was done using various analytical techniques and results coincide with standard PHB. Thus, green liquor pretreated KB hydrolysates deliver a promising and economically feasible carbon substrate for PHB production.

In this study, a green approach by utilizing Acacia nilotica leaves (ANL) extract to produce silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) has been made. The biosynthesized AgNPs displayed surface plasmon resonance (SPR) centered at 430 nm. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and energy-dispersive spectra (EDS) results showed the contribution of phyto-constituents of ANL in the reduction, capping and stabilizing matrix for AgNPs. The AgNPs were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), and high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM) revealed the synthesized ANL-AgNPs were crystalline and spherical forms having about ∼20 nm average particle size. ANL-AgNPs exhibited significant antineoplastic efficacy towards SKOV3 ovarian cancer cells (LD50; 66.5 µg/mL) thus could be useful to treat the cancer and to trounce limitations of conventional chemotherapy treatment. The synthesized AgNPs unveiled substantial antioxidant activity represented by common enzyme markers 2,2′-azino-bis (3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulphonic acid) (ABTS) (IC50; 48.4 µg/mL) and 2,2-Diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) (IC50; 55.2 µg/mL) activity. The ANL-AgNPs displayed substantial anti-bacterial activity against human pathogenic bacterial strains and also studied their minimum inhibitory and minimum bactericidal concentration (MIC and MBC) for individual strain. Additionally, the synthesized ANL-AgNPs exhibited colorimetric detection of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) with better selectivity which showed its viability in determining reactive oxygen species in biological and environmental samples. Overall, the ANL-AgNPs could be used in multitasking biomedical applications, including anticancer, antioxidant, and antibacterial potential and also in sensing application.

In this study, an attempt has been made to reduce the sludge using novel homogenizer coupled solar photo Fenton (HPF) process. At an optimum pH of 3 and Fe2+ to H2O2 dosage of 1:6, PF process yielded 63.7% solids reduction at a time interval of 45 min. Coupling of homogenizers with photo Fenton (PF) process effectively enhanced treatment efficiency. When homogenizer (specific energy - 1150.694 kJ/kg TS) was coupled with PF, a sharp increase in solid reduction 73.5% and decrease in reaction time (20 min) were observed. Cost benefit analysis revealed the efficiency of HPF process and achieved a net cost of 15.59 USD whereas PF achieved a negative net cost of −82.69 USD. Based on the above study it can be concluded that coupling of homogenizers with PF not only increased its efficiency but also make it field applicable.

This review analyses the relevant studies which focused on hydrogen synthesis by dark fermentation of galactose from macroalgal biomass by discussing the inoculum-related pretreatments, batch fermentation and inhibition, continuous fermentation systems, bioreactor designs for continuous operation and ionic liquid-assisted catalysis. The potential for process development is also revisited and the challenges towards suppressing glucose dominance over a galactose-based hydrogen production system are presented. The key challenges in the pretreatment process aiming to achieve a maximum recovery of upgradable (fermentable) sugars from the hydrolysates and promoting the concomitant detoxification of the hydrolysates have also been highlighted. The research avenues for bioprocess intensification connected to enhance selective sugar recovery and effective detoxification constitute the critical steps to develop future red macroalgae-derived galactose-based robust biohydrogen production system.

Remediation of engineered-nanomaterials is an up-coming major environmental concern. This study demonstrates adsorptive-remediation of cobalt oxide nanoparticles (CoO NPs) from the water. The α-cellulose-fibers were extracted from waste-paper biomass (WP-αCFs) and magnetized with Fe3O4 NPs (M-WP-αCFs). The XRD, FT-IR, and TGA were performed for detailed characterization of the newly developed bioadsorbent. The M-WP-αCFs was then applied for adsorptive remediation of CoO NPs. The adsorptive kinetics of CoO NPs adsorption onto the M-WP-αCFs reveals the pseudo-second-order model. The various adsorption isotherm studies revealed Langmuir is a best-fit isotherm. A prominently high adsorption capacity qm (1567 mg/g) corroborated extraordinary adsorptive potential of M-WP-αCFs. Furthermore, CoO NPs were adsorbed onto M-WP-αCFs were analyzed by the XPS, VSM, and TEM. Therefore, this study gave rise WP biomass extracted and rapidly-separable nano-biocomposite of ‘M-WP-αCFs’ with a high-capacity for CoO NPs remediation and can be further applied in remediation of several other engineered-nanomaterials.
