Rijeke su svakako jedan od najvažnijih puteva prijenosa nutrijenata s kopna u obalne vode, koji potom u ušćima mogu izazvati čitav niz problema, od prekoračenja dopuštenih graničnih koncentracija do uzrokovanja pojave eutrofikacije. Provedeno istraživanje se bavi upravo analizom takvog pronosa u bliskoj zoni ušća za stacionarno stanje toka te domenu integriranu po dubini (2D). Iz osnovne advektivno difuzne jednadžbe su izvedeni statistički apsolutni momenti funkcije gustoće vjerojatnosti definirane u točki, te su potom pripadajuće funkcije rekonstruirane korištenjem beta-distribucije. Funkcije gustoće vjerojatnosti su ključan podatak za definiciju rizika od prekoračenja graničnih koncentracija, te ovakva metodologija omogućava izračun funkcije i pripadajućeg rizika u proizvoljnoj točki domene ušća. Razvijena metodologija je implementirana u user-friendly računalnu aplikaciju CPoRT koja je besplatna za korištenje, a koja je među ostalim namijenjena i podizanju svijesti o važnosti adekvatnog upravljanja količinama nutrijenata unesenih rijekama.

The aims of the project are to develop a decision- making support tool – DeWOS ; and to establish a permanent users network using a spin-off company, which will enable international cooperation and implementation of the software. DeWOS will encompass all existing relevant data on factors affecting wellbeing: environmental (water, air, soil, food quality and quantity), social- demographic (education, prosperity, migration, tourism and mobility, health services, safety) and economic factors (employment, industry, agriculture). The tool will provide a reliable valuation of the degree of wellbeing in the Danube River Basin enabling policy makers (from the municipality to the national level) and other stakeholders to assess the current wellbeing situation and simulate possible scenarios along with the feasibility and impacts of possible interventions.

Groundwater age is considered as an important water property and can indicate its quality when water is being used from underground. Insufficient data and measurement in the subsurface has been mitigated by using direct simulation of groundwater age. Numerical model is developed using Lagrangian approach and random walk particle tracking method, where groundwater age is calculated as traveltime of certain particles including the processes of advection and dispersion. For proposed method, flow calculation is the basic input, hence an upgrade has been done to existing software solution in order to get correct groundwater age simulations and continuous velocity fields. Synthetic examples were simulated for homogeneous, layered and for low and medium heterogeneous aquifer systems. For the heterogeneous aquifer system a stochastic analysis has been done using Monte Carlo simulations.The results are given as groundwater age fields. An application is recognized in possibility to estimate the expected groundwater age at certain location of water intake. Therefore, calculated probability assumptions may be used as decision support tool in order to estimate the level of aquifer's auto purification, or to apply certain level of water treatment before usage.

U ovom diplomskom radu izrađen je način direktnog proračuna starosti podzemnih voda korištenjem Lagrangeovog pristupa i random walk particle tracking metode. Proračun tečenja i polje brzina su osnovni ulazni podaci potrebni za korištenje predložene metode. Razvijen je model u fortranskom programu FI, koji je namjenjen proračunu procjeđivanja primjenom metode konačnih elemenata, a dopunjen je proračunom polja kontinuiranih brzina potrebnih za random walk metodu te proračunom starosti podzemnih voda. Posebno su izvršeni proračuni za zadane sintetičke primjere: homogeni i dvoslojni vodonosnik te heterogeni vodonosnik s malim i srednjim stupnjem heterogenosti. Rezultati su dani u obliku polja starosti podzemne vode, a za heterogeni tip akvifera je provedena stohastička analiza primjenom Monte Carlo metode. Zaključno su dane procjene vjerojatnosti pojave podzemne vode određene starosti na mjestu mogućeg crpljenja i korištenja vode.

U ovom završnom radu zadatak je bio izvršiti analize rizika koji se javljaju prilikom izgradnje jednog građevinskog objekta-stambene zgrade sa šest stanova. Analiza se odnosi na rizike u trajanju i financijskoj strukturi projekta, te je ista provedena na računalu metodom mrežnog planiranja PERTH i metodom simulacije Monte Carlo uz korištenje odgovarajućeg software-a. Definirana su rješenja za analizu trajanja prema objema metodama uz odabir mjerodavne, te primjena Monte Carlo metode za analizu financijskog rizika.

Zajednički temelji su redoviti skup mladih istraživača (doktoranada i poslijedoktoranada) iz područja građevinarstva i srodnih tehničkih znanosti. Skup je zamišljen na način da bude platforma za jedna od prvih izlaganja mladih istraživača, što im omogućava svojevrsne treninge za daljnja prezentiranja i istraživački rad, te adekvatno umrežavanje. Sudionici prezentiraju svoja istraživanja ili koncept istraživanja pred kolegama iz različitih STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) područja, a njihovi sažeci ili radovi su objavljeni u zborniku. Svaki skup svakako sadrži najmanje jedno pozvano predavanje i radionicu ili okrugli stol na jednu od aktualnih tema vezanih za znanstveno-istraživačku domenu i položaj mladih u istoj., Common Foundations are a regular group of young researchers (doctoral students and postdoctoral students) from the field of civil engineering and related technical sciences. The meeting was conceived in such a way as to be a platform for one of the first presentations of young researchers, which provides them with a kind of training for further presentations and research work, as well as adequate networking. Participants present their research or research concept in front of colleagues from different STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) fields, and their summaries or papers are published in the proceedings. Each meeting certainly contains at least one invited lecture and workshop or round table on one of the current topics related to the scientific and research domain and the position of young people in it.

Predmet ovog završnog rada je izrada tehničkog rješenja uređenja plaže na području uvale Trstenik s ciljem povećanja kapaciteta za prihvat kupača i hortikulturnog uređenja sa stabilizacijom iste. Iz višegodišnjih podataka o vjetru izrađena je vjetrovalna analiza i definiran je projektni val, za kojeg su potom izvršene procjene transformacija te utjecaj istih na predmetnu obalu. Na temelju provedenih analiza, projektirana je plaža na način da omogući korištenje što većem broju kupača, a da zadovolji uvjete stabilnosti žala u odnosu na postojeći nagib obale, zaštitu od udara valova te adekvatnu izmjenu mora u uvali., The aim of this thesis is a technical solution for the reconstruction and stabilization of the Trstenik coastal area in order to increase the beach carrying capacity while improving the corresponding horticultural landscape. A long-term wave analysis was made based on wind data, and the design wave was defined, which was then used to assess all the potential transformations in the surf zone and their impacts on the coast. Finally, the beach was designed to enable the use of as many bathers as possible while meeting the stability requirements concerning the slope of the coast, protection from waves, and adequate sea exchange in the bay.

Na lokaciji postojeće marine Zenta, planirana je rekonstrukcija marine s ciljem povećanja broja vezova i dodatnog sadržaja unutar marine. Na temelju svih čimbenika u nacrtima je prikazana mogućnost izgleda nove marine Zenta., At the location of the existing marina Zenta, the reconstruction of the marina is planned with the aim of increasing the number of berths and additional content within the marina. U ovom se radu za predmetnu lokaciju, istočnu obalu Splita radila procjena parametara vjetrovnog vala. Napravljena je sektorizacija mjerodavnih smjerova vjetrovnih valova za odabranu lokaciju. Odredila su se pripadajuća efektivna privjetrišta, a potom provela dugoročna valna analiza za povratne periode od: 5, 20, 50 i 100 godina za procjenu dubokomorskih visina valova. Za dva karakteristična smjera proračunate su osnovne deformacije vala za povratni period od 50 godina. Završno je dana procjena svih parametara mjerodavnih valova za predmetnu lokaciju, In this work, for the subject location, the east coast of Split, the wind wave parameters were estimated. Sectorization of the relevant wind wave directions for the selected location was made. The associated effective fetches were determined, and then a long-term wave analysis was performed for return periods of 5, 20, 50, and 100 years to estimate deepsea wave heights. The basic wave deformations for a return period of 50 years were calculated for two characteristic directions. Finally, an estimate of all parameters of the relevant waves for the mentioned location is given.

24. Numerical Modeling of Conservative Pollution in the Mouth of River Jadro Using the Softwer Package MOHID

U ovom diplomskom radu korištenjem numeričkog modela MOHID analiziran je pronos potencijalnog konzervativnog zagađenja u ušću rijeke Jadro. Provedena analiza obuhvaćala je prikupljanje i pripremu ulaznih podataka potrebnih za adekvatno postavljanje modela. Postavljen je 2D model zadanog područja te provedena simulacija potencijalnog zagađenja u zaljevu donesenog rijekom Jadro. Primjenjeni su različiti moduli programskog paketa za analizu pronosa predmetnog opterećenja u kritičnom ljetnom periodu. U sklopu rada napravljena je hidrodinamička analiza ušća i analiza pronosa potencijalnog konzervativnog zagađenja iz rijeke primjenom Lagrangian metode praćenja čestica. U konačnici je napravljena kvalitativna usporedba rezultata modela s provedenim terenskim mjerenjima u srpnju 2018, In this thesis, the transport of potential conservative pollution at the mouth of the river Jadro is analyzed using the numerical model MOHID. The analysis included the collection and preparation of input data required for adequate model setting. A 2D model of the given area was set up and a simulation of potential pollution in the bay brought by the river Jadro was performed. Different modules of the software package were applied for the analysis of the load transfer in the critical summer period. As part of the work, a hydrodynamic analysis of the estuary and an analysis of the transport of potential conservative pollution from the river were performd using the Lagrangian method of particle monitoring. Finally, qualitative model results comparison with July 2018 conducted field measurements was made.

Ovim diplomskim radom analizirana je korelacija protoka u ljetnom periodu godine koji se smatra kritičnim. Za ljetne sezone analiziran je utjecaj potencijalnog opterećenja koje bi izazvalo granična stanja koncentracija nutrijenata (BPK5, N i P). U razmatranje je uzeto razdoblje od 2010. – 2016. kako bi se prikazale varijacije protoka u uzastopnom nizu godina. Nakon prikupljanja svih dostupnih podataka o slivu rijeke Jadro, osmišljena je i provedena analiza vodnog stanja u kontekstu Okvirne direktive o vodama. Provedena analiza je obuhvaćala statističku obradu, te određivanje i testiranje teorijske distribucije koncentracije hranjivih tvari. U sklopu analize napravljena je i procjena unosa hranjivih tvari na području sliva, te je provjereno da li je vodno tijelu u riziku. Proračunate su krivulje trajanja opterećenja na kojima su prikazana točkasta opterećenja dobivena iz mjerenih podataka za 2014. i 2015. godinu., This thesis analyzes the correlation of the flow in the summer period of the year which is considered critical. For the summer season, the impact of potential loads that would cause threshold conditions of nutrient concentrations (BPK5, N and P) was analyzed. The period from 2010. to 2016. was taken into account in order to show fluctuations in the successive series of years. After collecting all available data on the Jadro river basin, an analysis of the water status in the context of the Water Framework Directive has been developed and carried out. The carried out analysis included statistical processing, determination and testing of theoretical distributions of nutrient concentration. As part of the analysis, an estimate of nutrient inputs in the area of the basin was made, and it was checked whether the water body was at risk. Load curves are calculated showing the exact loads obtained from measured data for 2014 and 2015.

Kibernetika kao znanstvena disciplina je novijeg nastanka, dok se sama riječ koristila još davno. Često se koristi u različitim kontekstima i relativno teško ju je jednoznačno smjestiti u neko određeno područje ljudske djelatnosti. To je i istina, zato što se osnovni principi kibernetike mogu objasniti i shvatiti samo korištenjem pojmova iz različitih grana znanosti. Ona proučava opće zakonitosti procesa upravljanja i komunikacija, neovisno o njihovoj prirodi – u živim i neživim sistemima. U radu će se prikazati nastanak pojma (odnosno znanstvene discipline) kibernetika, povijesni razvoj kibernetike, te neka područja gdje se kibernetika koristi. Cilj rada je ukratko predstaviti i objasniti kibernetiku te, barem do određene mjere, generalno olakšati razumijevanje te vrlo zanimljive, i u novije vrijeme, sve popularnije multidisciplinarne znanosti., Cybernetics, as a scientific discipline, was conceived rather recently, while the word itself has been used for a very long time. It is often used in various contexts, and it is relatively difficult to assign a single meaning to it and define a specific area of human activity which it would designate. Another reason for this is the fact that the basic principles of cybernetics can only be explained and understood by using terms from various other branches of science. It studies the general principles of control and communication systems, regardless of their nature – in both living and inanimate systems. This paper will demonstrate the origin of the term (i.e. the scientific discipline) cybernetics, the development of cybernetics through history, and some areas where cybernetics is applied. The goal of this paper is to briefly introduce and explain cybernetics, and, to a certain extent, make this very interesting and lately increasingly popular multidisciplinary science easier to understand in general.

Ovim diplomskim radom analizirana je korelacija protoka u ljetnom periodu godine koji se smatra kritičnim. Za ljetne sezone analiziran je utjecaj potencijalnog opterećenja koje bi izazvalo granična stanja koncentracija nutrijenata (BPK5, N i P). U razmatranje je uzeto razdoblje od 2010. – 2016. kako bi se prikazale varijacije protoka u uzastopnom nizu godina. Nakon prikupljanja svih dostupnih podataka o slivu rijeke Jadro, osmišljena je i provedena analiza vodnog stanja u kontekstu Okvirne direktive o vodama. Provedena analiza je obuhvaćala statističku obradu, te određivanje i testiranje teorijske distribucije koncentracije hranjivih tvari. U sklopu analize napravljena je i procjena unosa hranjivih tvari na području sliva, te je provjereno da li je vodno tijelu u riziku. Proračunate su krivulje trajanja opterećenja na kojima su prikazana točkasta opterećenja dobivena iz mjerenih podataka za 2014. i 2015. godinu. This thesis analyzes the correlation of the flow in the summer period of the year which is considered critical. For the summer season, the impact of potential loads that would cause threshold conditions of nutrient concentrations (BPK5, N and P) was analyzed. The period from 2010. to 2016. was taken into account in order to show fluctuations in the successive series of years. Neprestani razvoj Building Information Modeling (BIM) sustava, koji omogućuju stvaranje baze podataka pojedinog projekta, te Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) sustava, koji omogućuju upravljanje bazama podataka svih projekata u kojima poduzeće posluje, pridonose njihovoj širokoj primjeni. Kontrola izvedbe projekta često se obavlja na temelju procijenjenih podataka iz projektne dokumentacije koji nisu jednaki naručenim, ugrađenim te naplaćenim količinama. Dakle, podaci unutar projekta neće biti ažurni niti točni ako se ne povežu s računovodstvenim podacima unutar poduzeća. Problem je prepoznat i u praksi te se razvijaju modeli integracije sustava BIM i ERP koji su u ovom radu analizirani i uspoređeni. Rezultati pokazuju da su trenutni modeli integracije vezani za specifične sustave te da se BIM tehnologija ne primjenjuje u punom obliku. Buduće će istraživanje stoga obuhvatiti određivanje varijabli projekta i poduzeća koje utječu na modeliranje standardnog protoka informacija među sustavima., Continuous development of Building Information Modeling (BIM) systems, which enable the creation of a single project database, and Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) systems, which enable database management of all company’s projects, contribute to their wide application. Project execution control is often based on estimated project documentation data which are not the same as the ordered, built and charged quantities. Hence, the data within the project will not be accurate if they do not correlate with the company's accounting data. The problem has also been recognized in practice why integration models of BIM and ERP systems have been developed which are analysed and compared in this paper. The results show that current integration models have been related to specific systems and that BIM technology has not been fully applied. Future research will, therefore, include the determination of project and company variables that influence the standard flow information modelling between systems.

Provjera provoznosti jedan je od najvažnijih koraka pri projektiranju cestovnih raskrižja. Svako raskrižje uz uvjete sigurnosti i propusne moći mora zadovoljiti i uvjete provoznosti za odabrano mjerodavno vozilo. Klasične metode provjere provoznosti šablonama gotovo da se više i ne primjenjuju. Zamijenili su ih specijalizirani računalni programi koji vjerno simuliraju kretanje vozila kroz raskrižje i omogućuju provjeru provoznosti na jednostavan, precizan i brz način. Spomenute karakteristike računalnih programa omogućavaju razvoj postojećih i istraživanje novih geometrijskih oblika cestovnih raskrižja. U ovome je radu provjerom provoznosti na četverokrakim i kružnim raskrižjima, oblikovanim prema domaćoj normi i smjernicama, detaljno opisan i ocijenjen način rada dva računalna programa, Vehicle Tracking i AutoTURN., Swept path analysis is one of the most important steps in the design of road intersections. Every intersection, except safety and capacity conditions, must also meet the conditions of an undisturbed passage of the selected design vehicle. The classic methods of swept path analysis with templates are almost no longer applied. They have been replaced by the specialised software that simulates the movement of the vehicle realistically through an intersection and make swept path analysis quick, accurate and easy. These software features enable the development of existing and exploration of new geometric forms of road intersections. For this reason, in this paper, two software, Vehicle Tracking and AutoTURN, have been analysed and evaluated in detail. They were evaluated through the procedure of swept path analysis on four-leg classic and roundabout intersections, designed according to domestic standards and guidelines.

Sudionici prezentiraju svoja istraživanja ili koncept istraživanja pred kolegama iz različitih STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) područja, a njihovi sažeci ili radovi su objavljeni u zborniku. Svaki skup svakako sadrži najmanje jedno pozvano predavanje i radionicu ili okrugli stol na jednu od aktualnih tema vezanih za znanstveno-istraživačku domenu i položaj mladih u istoj. Common Foundations are a regular group of young researchers (doctoral students and postdoctoral students) from the field of civil engineering and related technical sciences. The meeting was conceived in such a way as to be a platform for one of the first presentations of young researchers, which provides them with a kind of training for further presentations and research work, as well as adequate networking. Participants present their research or research concept in front of colleagues from different STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) fields, and their summaries or papers are published in the proceedings. Each meeting certainly contains at least one invited lecture and workshop or round table on one of the current topics related to the scientific and research domain and the position of young people in it.

STREAM 1D je računalni model za prognoziranje hidrodinamičkih procesa u izrazito uslojenim uvjetima. Procesne jednadžbe izvedene su iz zakona očuvanja mase i količine gibanja za jednodimenzionalno i nestacionarno tečenje dva sloja plitkih voda različitih gustoća u koritima proizvoljne geometrije. Numerički algoritam implementiran je u Python 3.6 programskom jeziku, a temelji se na metodi konačnih volumena, odnosno dobro uravnoteženoj Roevoj Q-shemi. Model je detaljno validiran usporedbom s terenskim mjerenjima za slučaj dvoslojnog tečenja na ušću Rječine. U ovome su radu prikazane mogućnosti modela u prognoziranju duljine prodora slane vode uslijed konstantnog protoka rijeke. Uz kalibrirani koeficijent trenja na razdjelnicu među slojevima, poklapanja numeričkih rezultata i izmjerenih vrijednosti su zadovoljavajuća., STREAM 1D is a computational model for simulating hydrodynamic processes in highly stratified conditions. Governing equations are derived from the conservation laws for mass and linear momentum, for one-dimensional and time-dependent shallow water flow of two-layer of different densities and in channels with irregular geometry. The numerical algorithm is implemented in Python 3.6, and is based on the finite volume method, or more precisely on a well-balanced Q-scheme of Roe. This model was thoroughly validated by comparing the results with field measurements of two-layer flow in the Rječina River Estuary. In this work, we present the model’s capability to predict the salt-water intrusion length under constant river flow. When the interfacial friction factor between the layers is calibrated, the agreement between the numerical results and measured values is satisfactory.
