Abstract

The article presents tips on maximizing the use of technology by an information technology (IT) department. It is encouraged to conduct energy saving measures such as configuring monitors to turn off after a predetermined amount of inactivity. The importance of reducing paper use is cited and the application of a print management software is recommended. It is also suggested that an IT department conducts 30- to 45-minute training sessions for faculty and staff.
