A greenhouse experiment was carried-out to evaluate the influence of three different grounded seed powders i.e. chicory (Cichorium intybus L.), artemesia (Artemesia sp.) and chrysanthemums (Chrysanthemum sp.) (Fam: Compositae) at three rates of 1, 2.5 and 5g/pot (plant) added as post-planting applications on growth of tomato cv. Alisa infected with Meloidogyne incognita compared to oxamyl at the recommended dose (0.3 ml/ pot) under greenhouse conditions of (27±3°C). Results indicated that all tested applications significantly improved tomato plant growth characters and reduced nematode criteria as well. Percentage increase values of tomato plant growth parameters increased and nematode population density diminished as the rates of such tested compounds raised from 1 to 2.5 and 5g/plant. Artemesia at 1, 2.5 and 5g/plant accomplished the highest percentage increase values of plant growth criteria as well as reducing final nematode population; whereas plants received chicory grounded seeds gave the least values in this respect . Moreover, artemesia treatment at 5 g/plant gained the least value of nematode reproduction factor (0.51) vs 2.15 for nematode alone. A greenhouse trial was conducted to study the performance of three bioa-compounds i.e. bioarc (Bacillus megaterium), biozeid (Trichoderma album) and protecto, Bacillus thuringinthis (Bt) on plant growth characters of squash plant cv. Eskandrany infected with 1000 eggs of the root-knot nematode, Meloidogyne incognita in comparison with oxamyl under greenhouse conditions (25±3ºC). Results indicated that all tested materials enhanced plant growth criteria and diminished nematode parameters as well. Biozeid gave maximum values of plant length (107.6%), number of flowers (73.1%), leaves/ plant (40.2%), total plant fresh weight (54.6%), shoot dry weight (92.9%), highest percentage reduction values of final nematode density (88.8%), number of galls, (79.9%), and egg-masses (93.6%), followed by bioarc. Moreover, plant receiving (Bt) showed a reasonable final population (87.0%) and number of galls (63.2%) and egg-masses (84.2%), comparing to nematode only. The reproduction factor of M. incognita on squash plant was adversely affected by the tested bio-products, since its values ranged from 0.12 for oxamyl to 1.1 for (Bt) vs 1.97 for nematode alone, where biozeid treatment gave the lowly RF value (0.22). A pot experiment was conducted to determine the influence of three of inoculum levels (1000, 2000 and 3000 J2 pot(-1)) of Meloidogyne javanica on nematode reproduction and host response of peanut plant cv. Giza 4 under greenhouse conditions at 30 +/- 5 degrees C. In general, nematode reproduction and host damage were both affected by the initial inoculum levels. The greater reduction percentage of plant fresh (57.7%), shoot dry (38.82) and pods weights (52.59%) and nodules numbers (73.33%) were recorded at inoculum level 2000 J2/peanut plant, when rate of nematode build-up reached the maximum value of 1.64. Regression analysis of Pi vs. rate of nematode build-up on peanut plants gave value of R2 amounted to 0.3193. On the other hand, when the initial inoculum level added increased up to 3000 J2/peanut plant, the percentage reduction of whole plant fresh weight (47.07%) and other growth parameters as well as nematode build-up (0.8) also obviously decreased.
