- Abstract
Syndactyly is one of the most common congenital anomalies of the extremities. It consists of a digital malformation in which the adjacent fingers and/or toes are fused by a failure to separate them during gestational development. This can be classified as complete (up to the fingertips) or incomplete and simple (cutaneous) or complex (with bony fusion). The complicated form involves a significant alteration of the digital anatomy and is usually syndromic. The importance of timely diagnosis and treatment lies in the cosmetic and functional impact of the hand, being the main working tool of the human being, and given its complex anatomy and function, which differentiates us from other species, it is imperative the correction before the sequelae phase, being necessary in the vast majority of cases surgical treatment. Work-related stress and burnout are psychosocial illnesses that have a negative impact on health. One of the variables that may be related to work-related stress is gender. Precisely, this paper presents an analysis to determine the extent to which female university professors show higher levels of stress in the workplace. Through a non-experimental quantitative methodology, an ad hoc constructed questionnaire was implemented. The instrument contains thirty items structured in five subdimensions (role stress, stress in university teachers, emotional exhaustion, depersonalisation and lack of personal fulfilment). Descriptive, inferential, reliability and validity statistical analyses of the scale were carried out and the Rasch Measurement Theory (RFT) was used for profile analysis. The results reveal the presence of moderate levels of stress in 564 professors, mainly related to specific work-related tasks. In addition, it was confirmed that women in their first years of professional development, with a high teaching load and without positions of responsibility in university management tend to experience the most stress. These results justify the need to address psychosocial factors and stress management affecting teachers from a social, psychological and educational perspective in order to cope correctly with their duties., El estrés laboral y el burnout son enfermedades psicosociales que influyen negativamente en la salud. Una de las variables que puede estar relacionada con el estrés laboral es el género. Precisamente, este trabajo presenta un análisis para determinar en qué medida las profesoras universitarias manifiestan mayor nivel de estrés en el ámbito laboral. A través de una metodología cuantitativa no experimental se implementó un cuestionario construido ad hoc. El instrumento contiene treinta ítems estructurados en cinco subdimensiones (estrés de rol, estrés en profesores universitarios, agotamiento emocional, despersonalización y falta de realización personal). Se realizaron análisis estadísticos descriptivos, inferenciales, de fiabilidad y validez de la escala y se utilizó la Teoría de la Medición de Rasch (TMR) para el análisis de perfiles. Los resultados revelan la presencia de niveles moderados de estrés en 564 docentes universitarios, principalmente, relacionado con tareas específicas del ámbito laboral. Además, se confirmó que las mujeres en sus primeros años de desarrollo profesional, con una elevada carga docente y sin cargos de responsabilidad en la gestión universitaria son quienes tienden a experimentar mayor grado de estrés. Estos resultados justifican la necesidad de atender a factores psicosociales y la gestión del estrés que afectan al profesorado desde una vertiente social, psicológica y educativa para el afrontamiento correcto de sus funciones.

The present study measures, in a collaborative context, a set of interconnected relational mechanisms and their impact on organizational performance. Based on the Relational View (Dyer and Singh, 1998), the work integrates mechanisms of the relational and competitive capabilities in a concept called ¿inter-organizational capabilities¿. Inter-organizational capabilities are composed of ¿trust¿ and mechanisms to ¿combine complementary resources¿, ¿invest in specific assets¿, ¿share information¿ and ¿jointly solve problems¿. The measurement takes place in the Spanish food industry (FI) in the context of the Supply Chain Management network. Other contribution of the present work is the theoretical study of the food industry. In addition to improving the knowledge about interorganizational relationships, the study makes a theoretical review of the food industry in general and the FI in particular. It describes the peculiarities of the food industry and the movements that are taking place in it. The results confirm, with exceptions, the theoretical construct ¿interorganizational capabilities in a context of Supply Chain Management network¿. Other results are high levels of trust in relationships between partners and the industry that, despite the current complex and competitive environment, presents high levels of flexibility, responsiveness, quality and efficiency. Similarly, the investigation also discovers the capacity of companies to manage knowledge. In this context, the results suggest a correct integration of the supply chain of the FI that confirm the effective implementation of the Supply Chain Management. Other conclusions are the dependence that the industry has had, and still has on distribution, intensified in part by the expansion of store brands. El presente trabajo mide, en un contexto colaborativo, un conjunto de mecanismos relacionales interconectados y su incidencia en el performance organizacional. Apoyado en la Visión Relacional (Dyer y Singh, 1998), el trabajo integra mecanismos de las capacidades relacionales y capacidades competitivas en el concepto denominado ¿capacidades interorganizativas¿. Las capacidades interorganizativas se componen de la ¿confianza¿ y los mecanismos ¿combinar recursos complementarios¿, ¿invertir en activos específicos¿, ¿compartir información¿ y ¿solucionar problemas conjuntamente¿. La medición tiene lugar en la Industria Alimentaria (IA) española en un contexto de Supply Chain Management1 en red. Además de mejorar el conocimiento sobre las relaciones interorganizativas, el trabajo también realiza una revisión teórica sobre el sector agroalimentario en general y la IA en particular. Los resultados permiten confirmar, con excepciones, el constructo teórico de las ¿capacidades interorganizativas en un contexto de Supply Chain Management en red¿. Otros resultados obtenidos son los altos niveles de confianza en las relaciones entre socios y una industria que, pese al entorno competitivo y complejo actual, presenta niveles competitivos en términos de flexibilidad, respuesta, calidad y eficiencia. De igual modo, la investigación descubre la implantación de la capacidad de las empresas de la industria para gestionar el conocimiento. En este contexto, los resultados parecen indicar una correcta integración de la cadena de suministros de la IA que confirman la efectiva aplicación de la Supply Chain Management. Otras conclusiones obtenidas son la dependencia que ha tenido y tiene la industria alimentaria española de la distribución, intensificada en parte por la expansión de las marcas del distribuidor (MDDs).

Social network addiction in young people has been extensively studied and associated with multiple factors. Among the scales designed to measure this, the 24-item version of the Social Network Addiction Questionnaire (SNAQ) is one of the most widely used. This study analyses the psychometric properties of the Spanish version adapted to undergraduates. The content and construct validity of the scale was explored using the Rasch model and a confirmatory factor analysis. The data categorisation structure, construct dimensionality, model fit, subject and item reliability, Wright Map structure, and differential item functioning (DIF) were specifically analysed. 1,809 students from 24 Spanish universities participated. The results indicate that the SNAQ presents good reliability and dimensionality, and a good model fit; however, elements in need of improvement are appreciated mainly in the proposed Likert scale, in the development of new items that measure the extremes of addiction to social network sites and in the wording of one item. With respect to factor analysis, three factors were obtained that coincide with the original construct. With the improvements that have been observed through validation, the questionnaire could confidently be used to measure the construct in the university population. The instrument fills an important gap in the identification of addictive behaviours in the use of social networks, which could lead to a subsequent intervention involving undergraduates.
