O passado histórico e cultural de uma cidade é o ponto chave do conceito de cidades inteligentes, pois o passado está atrelado a como a cidade é vista e a sua consolidação. Por isso a preservação cultural de estruturas históricas, edifícios e bens culturais é de grande importância. Este artigo apresenta uma metodologia para reconstrução 3D de edifício histórico através de fotogrametria com VANTs (Veículos Aéreos não-Tripulados), de pequeno porte, para posterior reconstrução 3D do Palacete da Babilônia. O objeto de estudo trata-se de uma construção histórica do ano de 1866, situada no Colégio Militar do Rio de Janeiro. Foram utilizados três modelos de mini drones, testando aplicativos de planejamento e execução da missão de voo, uso de softwares diferentes para geração da reconstrução do modelo 3D, ajustes do modelo e a impressão do modelo tridimensional gerado com intuito de preservação da construção histórica.

In this work, a complex impedance spectroscopy study of bismuth vanadate (BiVO4) ceramics with different additions of ZnO (25, 50, and 75 wt %) was performed. BiVO4 (BVO) was synthesized by the reaction method in solid-state and calcined at 500 °C and BVO–ZnO composites were moulded in sintered ceramic pellets at 700 °C. X-ray diffraction (XRD) was used to analyse the crystal structure of BVO and the BVO–ZnO composites; none spurious phase was observed during the synthesis. Analysis by complex impedance spectroscopy (CIS) showed that increasing the concentration of ZnO reveals increased activation energy due to thermo-activated charge transfer for the sample with 25 wt % ZnO. At room temperature, the increase in the ZnO concentration in the BVO matrix maintained a high value for the dielectric constant (e), in the order of 104 at a frequency of 1 Hz. Average normalized change (ANC) was used to identify the temperature at which the available density of trapped charge states vanishes in each sample. The temperature coefficient of capacitance was positive for BVO and negative for composites. The adjustment through the equivalent circuit presented excellent electrical response for the composites, and identified an association with three resistors, each in parallel a constant phase element, showing the influence of grain and grain boundary on the process of thermo-active conduction.

This paper reported the dielectric and structural characterization of composites formed by mixture of BiVO4 and TiO2 and applications in microwave range. The composites were formulated by addition of TiO2 (15, 30, 45 and 60 wt %) in BiVO4. X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) was used in structural characterization. The dielectric properties, temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (τf), dielectric permittivity (e) and dielectric loss (tan δ), were measured and the results confirm that the TiO2 addition improves the thermo-stability of the composites with values varying from −244.03–246.12 ppm.0C−1. In this work, the dielectric and electric properties of the ceramic matrix BiVO4 (BVO) and the effects of the addition of TiO2 were analysed by impedance spectroscopy (IS). The BVO phase was calcined at 773 K and used to prepare the composite ceramic which the titanium oxide was added (15, 30 and 60 wt% TiO2), molded in pellet shape and sintered at 1073 K. These samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The thermo-activated charge transfer process for the ceramics BVO with the respective additions was observed and the electric results were compared with the electric response of equivalent circuit composed of three associations in parallel with R-CPE and represented by the Nyquist diagram. At room temperature and in the frequency range of 1 Hz, the samples presented high relative permittivity, er = 26k to approximately 35k, and a dielectric loss at the order of 10−2 at 1 MHz. The composites presented negative and positive values of the temperature coefficient of capacitance (TCC) along TiO2 composition. Through IS coupled with temperature variation, the activation energies were measured; the values showed decrease with increasing withTiO2 concentration.

CaO is the most used heterogeneous catalyst in transesterification reactions due to its high catalytic activity, low solubility in methanol, non-toxicity, and low cost. One of the greatest disadvantages of using CaO is its predisposition to react with H2O and CO2 present in the atmosphere forming Ca(OH)2 and CaCO3, respectively. Therefore, the objective of this study is to investigate the catalytic capacity of the catalyst derived from calcined chicken eggshells on different days after calcination. The catalyst used was produced under a temperature of 800 °C during a period of 160 minutes. The catalytic solid was characterized on days 1, 2, 3, 4, and 15 after calcination by X-ray fluorescence (XRF), X-ray diffraction (XRD); thermogravimetric analysis (TGA); transmission electron microscopy (TEM); Brunauer, Emmett, and Teller isotherm (BET); and Hammett analysis techniques. The reaction occurred at a temperature of 65 °C, had a molar ratio of 12:1 alcohol/oil, used 6% catalyst, and was carried over a period of 3 hours. In this work, is studied the effects of addition of titanium oxide in the ceramic matrix bismuth vanadate per Impedance Spectroscopy (IS) for the dielectric and electric properties, numerical simulation and applications in the microwave range. The matrix phase was calcined and used to prepare the composite ceramic where forty-five percent titanium oxide was added. Molded in pellet shape and sintered and these samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The samples presented high relative permittivity, negative and positive values of the temperature coefficient of capacitance (TCC) and Through the IS coupled with temperature variation was measured the activation energies where the values decreasing with titanium oxide concentration. The dielectric properties (temperature coefficient of resonant frequency, dielectric permittivity, and dielectric loss) were measured and the results confirm that the titanium oxide addition improving the thermostability of the composites and increased the value of dielectric properties.

We present a numerical investigation of the propagation and the switching of ultra-short pulses (100 fs) in a two-core nonlinear coupler of photonic crystal fibers constructed with periodically modulated the non-linearity fiber (PMNL-PFC). Our simulations are taking into account different amplitude and frequency modulations of the PMNL-PFC. A coupler for coupling whose length is Lc = 1.8 cm, the transmission characteristics, the compression factor, the crosstalk (Xtalk) and extinction ratio (Xratio) levels of the first order solitons were studied for low to high pump energies considering 2Lc. By an analysis on the reference channel (channel 2), it is observed that at low modulation frequencies an increase occurs in the switching power increasing transmission efficiency. For high modulation frequencies, the transmitted energy efficiency loses. The switching pulses are stronger for low frequency and high amplitude modulation. The Xtalk is a function of the measurement made on the secondary channel (channel 1). It was observed that this unwanted high-frequency energy increases to lessen the measure of the amplitude modulation. In summary, we have demonstrated that introduction of a non-linearity profile takes the periodically modulated PMNL-PFC to strong variations at transmission efficiency, Xtalk, Xratio a function of frequency and modulation amplitude and the input power.

We present a numerical investigation of all-optical logical gates based in a Michelson interferometer (MI) of micro structured fibers, also known as photonic crystal fibers (PCF). We considered an ultra-short pulse propagating along the system in three distinct regimes of pump power. We determine several relevant quantities to characterize the system performance such as transmission, extinction ratio and crosstalk as a function of the dephasing added to one of the Bragg gratings of the Michelson interferometer (MI). High-order effects, such as third-order dispersion, intrapulse Raman scattering and self-steepening were included in the nonlinear generalized Schrodinger equation governing the pulse propagation. Our results show that the proposed device can be used to obtain all-optical XOR, OR and NOT logic gates.

This paper investigated the microwave dielectric properties through the Hakki-Coleman method of BiVO4 ceramic matrix, obtained by the solid-state reaction method, using 8, 16, 24 and 32 wt% of CaTiO3. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) was used for the structural characterisation of the crystalline phases present in ceramic before the sinterisation process. The thermal-stability in microwave range was measured in all dielectric samples, and the temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (τf) was found varying from −244.03 ppm °C−1 to −2.7 ppm °C−1. The CaTiO3 addition reduced the value of the dielectric permittivity (e’) close to 25% of the BiVO4 values, keeping the dielectric loss (tan δ) around 10−3. The experimental and numerical simulated values of the dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) results show the agreement of the input impedance, return loss, bandwidth and radiation patterns. Moreover, all antennae features realised gain above 5dBi. In antenna results, the CaTiO3 addition increased the bandwidth, compared to BiVO4 DRA, that presented bandwidth around 34 MHz.

Com o objetivo de verifi car a possibilidade do uso de farinhas extrusadas de trigo e soja para produtos cárneos, lácteos e de panifi cação, foram estudados os efeitos de parâmetros do processo de extrusão na absorção de água (AA) e na absorção de gordura (AG) destas farinhas. As farinhas mistas cruas, com 10 e 20% de soja, foram extrusadas, individualmente, em duas umidades (26 e 29%), cinco temperaturas do canhão (TC; 110, 120, 130, 140 e 150ºC) e quatro velocidades de rotação de parafuso (VRP; taxa de compressão de 3:1; 120, 150, 180 e 210rpm). Os resultados mostraram que a AA e a AG aumentaram, em alguns casos, até certo ponto com o aumento da VRP e TC em duas umidades e duas proporções de soja estudadas. Os valores mais altos da AA e AG foram verifi cados em VRP maiores para as TC mais baixas, porém em VRP menores para as TC mais altas. O aumento de umidade resultou em aumento da AA, mas não afetou tanto a AG. O teor maior de soja resultou em redução de AA e AG. As farinhas de trigo-soja (90:10 e 80:20) extrusadas tiveram AA e AG maiores do que as de trigo crua e de mista crua, indicando a possibilidade de seus usos em produtos cárneos, requeijão cremoso, patê, molho, sopa, “donut†e outros, embora as outras propriedades funcionais, tais como propriedades emulsificantes e propriedades de pasta, devem ser também consideradas.

A mistura de trigo e soja apresenta um efeito complementar mútuo de aminoácidos, além de oferecer boas propriedades funcionais. Apesar disso, a utilização da soja tem sido limitada por seu sabor de feijão cru ("beany flavor"), o qual é melhorado pelo processo de extrusão. Com o objetivo de otimizar o processo de extrusão para obtenção de uma farinha de trigo e soja (80:20) pré-cozida para sopa cremosa semi-pronta, foram estudados os efeitos de umidade da mistura, temperatura de barril (TB) e velocidade de rotação de parafuso (VRP, Nº3) do extrusor nas características sensoriais das sopas cremosas preparadas. A mistura foi extrusada em duas umidades, 5 TB e 4 VRP, totalizando 40 tratamentos. Os resultados indicam que as sopas cremosas mostraram melhores impressões globais com o aumento da VRP até 180 rpm em TB mais baixas; porém, em TB mais altas, esta foi reduzida para 150 rpm. A aparência e o sabor melhoraram à medida que se aumentava a TB até certo ponto. Entretanto, a textura piorou com o aumento da TB. A sopa cremosa preparada com a farinha mista com 26% de umidade e extrusada a 180 rpm e 120ºC, apresentou a melhor textura, sendo a mais preferida pela equipe massal de provadores não-treinados.

This work aimed to study the effects of substrate and mechanical scarification on the germination of S. oleracea seeds. Germination (% G), emergence rate (ER), leaf area (cm2), root length (cm), leaf dry mass (g) and root dry mass (g) were also determined. Non-scarified seeds sown in vermiculite germinated faster and showed higher germination (65%), as well as greater root length (16.55 cm), leaf dry mass (5.07 g) and root dry mass (12.41 g), when compared to the scarified seeds.
