Oxy Fluoro Borate (OFB) Glasses mixed with Sesquioxide ions (Al3+/Y3+/Sb3+) were synthesized using the traditional melt quenching technique. The properties of the structure of the glasses prepared are investigated by SEM, EDS and XRD methods. Variations in properties like density in glasses allow Nickel/Aluminium/Antimony/Yttrium ions to go through the borate glass matrix with an increase in respective dopant mole fraction. The decrease in the values of different elastic constants with B-O-Ni/Al/Sb/Y bonds and alsoby the function of NiO/Al2O3/Sb2O3/Y2O3 as a modifier and converting a portion of BO3 tetrahedral units into BO4octahedral units indicates the depolymerization in the glass matrix. The I.R. spectra and FTIR spectra show an increment in the occupation of cations Ni2+, Y3+, Sb3+ and Al3+ ions in the octahedral positions of the glass matrix with an enhancement in their molefraction. Creation of NBOs owing to the transformation of BO3 to BO4 units is greater in Al3+ and the smallest in Y3+ with an increment in the sesquioxide concentration at a 1.00 mol% NiO concentration. The dominance of the nickel ions octahedral occupancy in the glasses prepared is revealed by the optical absorption spectra, which may be because of the ligand fields produced by various ions of sesquioxides present within the glass matrix creating NBO and many trapped electrons at the donor centers. Photoluminescence spectra of the prepared glasses show the octahedral occupation of the Ni2+ ions that is indicated by the transitions 3A2g(F) ↔ 3T1g(P) and 3T1g(P) → 3T2g(F). The synthesized glasses exhibit effective luminescence by Nickel ions, and the AlNi and NiAl glass series exhibit superior luminescence properties owing to their highest emission cross-sections compared with the other series of prepared glasses.

Introduction: Peripartum cardiomyopathy (PPCM) is an important cause of maternal mortality and morbidity. But, there is a paucity of prospective data on outcomes and prognostic markers in patients receiving contemporary evidence-based therapy, particularly in developing countries. Methods: This was a single centre, prospective, cohort study on 43 PPCM patients who were followed for 6 months. The primary endpoint was a composite incidence of decompensation related re-hospitalization, all-cause death, and poor recovery (defined as left ventricular ejection fraction, LVEF: 29.6 ml/m2 with 72% accuracy) at presentation but not LVEF, predicts poor outcomes. Presence of both these risk factors at index hospitalization was associated with a significantly lower event free survival compared to patients without these predictors.

BackgroundDuring the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in India, the Ministry of Ayush conducted a community study to provide therapeutic care to patients with asymptomatic, mild, and moderate COVID-19 in home isolation based on the empirical evidence generated on the efficacy of AYUSH-64 in COVID-19.ObjectiveTo document disease characteristics, care-seeking behavior, and outcomes in patients with asymptomatic, mild, or moderate COVID-19 in home isolation who used AYUSH-64 for COVID-19.MethodsCross-sectional analysis of the data generated through a community study conducted in India from 08 May to 31 August 2021 was performed to study the disease characteristics, care-seeking behavior during home isolation, clinical outcomes, adverse events, and the association between various risk factors and clinical recovery during the study period. The data were collected through semi-structured questionnaires, available in electronic data collection format at the baseline, 7, 14, and 21 days. A logistic regression was performed to explore the relationship between relevant variables and clinical recovery.ResultsData from 64,642 participants were analyzed for baseline assessment, and final analysis was done for 49,770 participants. The mean age of the enrolled participants was 38.8 ± 11.7 years, and 8.4% had co-morbidities. AYUSH-64 was utilized as an add-on to the standard care by 58.3% of participants. Comparable clinical outcomes were observed in participants utilizing AYUSH-64 either as a standalone or as an add-on to standard care, in terms of clinical recovery, disease progression, the requirement for oxygen supplementation, hospitalization, ICU admission, and need for ventilator support. Younger age, having no co-morbidities or substance abuse, and having been vaccinated were associated with early clinical recovery than those who were older and not vaccinated.ConclusionsThe study findings suggest that AYUSH-64 use, either standalone or as an adjunct to standard care, in asymptomatic, mild, or moderate COVID-19 is associated with good clinical outcomes. Ayush services and interventions can be effectively integrated into the mainstream public health architecture to serve public health goals.

Right atrial volume/Left atrial volume (RAV/LAV) ratio is a good hemodynamic parameter in acute pulmonary thromboembolism (PTE), whose prognostic ability by 2D echocardiography is not studied to date. We conducted a 27 month, prospective observational study on 55 eligible acute PTE thrombolysed (29: Tenecteplase; 26: Streptokinase) patients. The primary endpoint was a composite of in-hospital death and poor right ventricular reverse remodelling at the time of discharge. The incidence of primary end-point and death were 40% and 7.2% respectively. On regression analysis, RAV/LAV ratio was the only predictor of the primary endpoint, with an optimal cut-off of 3.8 (accuracy 75%).

This paper describes a method for decomposing a signal into the sum of an oscillatory component and a transient component. The process uses the tunable Q-factor wavelet transform (TQWT): The oscillatory component is modeled as a signal that can be sparsely denoted by high Q-factor TQWT; similarly, the transient component is modeled as a piecewise smooth signal that can be sparsely denoted using low Q-factor TQWT. Since the low and high Q-factor TQWT has low coherence, the morphological component analysis (MCA) can effectively decompose the signal into oscillatory and transient components. The corresponding optimization problem of MCA is resolved by the split augmented Lagrangian shrinkage algorithm (SALSA). The applications of the proposed method to speech, electroencephalo-graph (EEG), and electrocardiograph (ECG) signals are included.

The present work addresses the important need of new materials to improve energy storage materials. The synthesis of MnCo2O4 nanospheres by employing solvothermal method at different incubation times was carried out. The effects of reaction time on structural, morphological, and electrochemical studies were briefly investigated. The X-ray diffraction result unveils the formation of cubic-structured MnCo2O4 nanospheres with Fd3m (2 2 7) space group. The appearance of two Raman peaks at 480 and 662 cm−1 was greatly attributed to the stretching vibration mode of M–O (M = Mn, Co), and substantiates the formation of MnCo2O4. The presence of functional group and characteristics group was analyzed by Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy. The scanning electron microscope image clearly indicated different sizes of nanoparticles due to the effect of solvothermal reaction period. The energy storage behavior of MnCo2O4 nanospheres was studied by employing the cyclic voltammetric and charge–discharge cycles. The results confirmed the pseudocapacitive nature of MnCo2O4 nanoparticles (RF3) with porous, spherical nanostructure with larger radius than others and contribute to better specific capacitance of 252 F g−1 at current density of 1 A g−1 which could be considered as a potential candidate for pseudocapacitive electrode for energy storage devices. Background: The aim of this study was to evaluate the prognostic significance of two-dimensional transthoracic echocardiography right ventricle ejection fraction (2D-TTE-RV-EF) calculated using 2D-TTE and compare the results with conventional RV function parameters such as tricuspid annular plane systolic excursion (TAPSE) and RV fractional area change (RV-FAC) in hospitalized dilated cardiomyopathy (DCMP) patients. Methods: This is a prospective, observational study that includes 122 DCMP patients. RV was modeled as a part of an ellipsoid enabling calculation of RV volume by combining three echo measurements. RVEF is then calculated (2D-TTE-RV-EF). P < 0.05 is considered statistically significant, and multivariate logistic regression analysis was done to determine the predictors of inhospital outcomes. Results: The mean age of study population was 51.2 ± 9.2 years with male: female ratio of 1.8:1. Mean value of LV-EF (Simpson biplane model) and 2D-TTE-RV-EF (ellipsoid model) was 33.6% ± 7.1% and 38.1% ± 11.2%, respectively. About 41 (33.6%) patients experienced inhospital major adverse cardiac events (MACE). In multivariate regression analysis, New York Heart Association class III or IV status, reduced LV-EF, reduced 2D-TTE-RV-EF, and cardiogenic shock at presentation were found to be independent predictors of in MACE. Analysis of receiver operator characteristic curve demonstrated that the optimal cutoff value of 2D-TTE-RV-EF for predicting inhospital MACE was 32.8%. Conclusion: Quantitative assessment of RV function with 2D-TTE-RV-EF improves the risk stratification beyond provided by LV-EF; the prognostic value may be better than that provided by TAPSE and RV-FAC.

Optimal Reactive Power Dispatch (ORPD) plays an important role for the secure and reliable operation of power systems. The main purpose of ORPD is to find the settings of control variables such as voltage rating of generators, reactive power injection of VAr compensators and tap ratios of the tap setting transformers in order to minimize the total active power losses of the network while satisfying a given set of constraints. In this paper, Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) controllers such as Static Var Compensator (SVC), Thyristor Controlled Series Capacitor (TCSC) and Thyristor Controlled Phase Shifting Transformer (TCPST) are considered in addition with the conventional ORPD control variables for additional active power loss minimization. The whole ORPD problem is considered as a non-linear multi-modal optimization problem. Harmony search algorithm is a recent meta-heuristic algorithm which mimics the musician’s improvization process. In this paper, two versions of harmony search algorithm, namely Basic Harmony Search Algorithm (HSA) and Improved Harmony Search Algorithm (IHSA) are applied to solve conventional ORPD, as well as ORPD considering FACTS devices. Studies on the proposed algorithm are carried out on IEEE 14 and 57 bus systems. Comparison of simulation results reveals the effectiveness of proposed algorithms over other well-established population-based optimization techniques.

MnO doped CaF2–Y2O3–ZnO–B2O3–SiO2 glasses were synthesized. Different physical parameters of these glass materials such as density, molar volume, electronegativity, optical basicity and refractive index were calculated. The glass transition and glass crystallization temperatures of these glasses were measured by DTA analysis. The mechanical properties such as Young’s modulus, Shear modulus, Bulk modulus, Poisson’s ratio and microhardness of these materials were also calculated. Different characterization such as FT-IR, ESR, DC conductivity, optical absorption and photoluminescence were carried out on the prepared glass samples. ESR studies of these glass materials exhibited sextet at lower concentrations of MnO. The optical bandgap, Urbach energy, transition probability and emission cross section of these glass materials were calculated. Semiconducting nature of these glass materials was also observed due to the significant increase in BO3 and MnO6 units with increasing concentration of MnO. Optical absorption studies revealed that the increase in intensity of different octahedral peaks were due to the increase in concentration of MnO. Photoemission occurs around 545 to 567.3 nm suggested that the emission was red-shifted for higher MnO concentration and green-shifted for lower MnO concentration. Abstract This paper concerns the problem of enhanced results on robust finite time passivity for uncertain discrete time Markovian jumping BAM delayed neural networks with leakage delay. By implementing a proper Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional candidate, reciprocally convex combination method, and linear matrix inequality technique, we derive several sufficient conditions for varying the passivity of discrete time BAM neural networks. Further, some sufficient conditions for finite time boundedness and passivity for uncertainties are proposed by employing zero inequalities. Finally, the enhancement of the feasible region of the proposed criteria is shown via numerical examples with simulation to illustrate the applicability and usefulness of the proposed method.

Using Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR), dielectric relaxation studies have been carried out on binary mixtures of amides (N-methylacetamide, N,N-dimethylacetamide) with alcohol (1-butanol, 1-pentanol, 1-hexanol, 1-heptanol, 1-octanol and 1-decanol) for various concentrations over the frequency range from 10 MHz to 10 GHz at 303 K. The Kirkwood correlation factor and excess dielectric constant properties were determined and discussed to yield information on the molecular interactions of the systems. The relaxation time is varies with the chain length of alcohols and substituted amides are observed. The Bruggeman plot shows a deviation from linearity. This deviation was attributed to some sort of molecular interaction which might place between the alcohols and substituted amides. The excess static permittivity and excess inverse relaxation time values vary from negative to positive for all the systems indicating the solute-solvent interaction to exist between alcohol and substituted amides for all the dynamics of the mixture. In the present work, EEG signals of different classes are analysed in tunable-Q wavelet transform (TQWT) framework. The TQWT decomposes the EEG signals into subbands and arrange them into decreasing order of frequency. The nonlinearity of the EEG signals is assessed by computing the centered correntropy (CCE) from the obtained subbands, which is further used as a feature for classifying the different categories of EEG signals. In this work, EEG signals are categorised in two different classification problems. First category is seizure free and seizure (NF-S) classes, and the other one is the normal, seizure free and seizure (ZO-NF-S) classes. Features obtained from the EEG signals of these classes are fed to the input of three different classifiers namely, random forest classifier (RF), multilayer perceptron (MLP) classifier, and logistic regression (LR) classifier. For NF-S classes, we achieved 98.3% classification accuracy with RF classifier for signal length of 1000 samples. The obtained accuracy of classification is 98.2% for ZO-NF-S classes using MLP classifier when features are extracted from signal length of 1000 samples.

Aim: This study was undertaken to assess the differential expression levels of toll-like receptors (TLRs) 2, 3 and 7 in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) isolated from Tharparkar and Crossbred cattle belonging to different regions of India. Materials and Methods: PBMCs were isolated from blood samples of Tharparkar cattle from Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI) farm (n=30); Suratgarh farm (n=61); Jaipur farm (n=8) and cross breed cattle from Jaipur (n=47). The availability and efficient use of the feed resources in India are the primary drivers to maximize productivity of Indian livestock. Feed security is vital to the livestock management, extent of use, conservation and productivity enhancement. Assessment and forecasting of livestock feed resources are most important for effective planning and policy making. In the present study, 40 years of data on crop production, land use pattern, rainfall, its deviation from normal, area under crop and yield of crop were collected and modeled to forecast the likely production of feed resources for the next 20 years. The higher order auto-regressive (AR) models were used to develop efficient forecasting models. Use of climatic variables (actual rainfall and its deviation from normal) in combination with non-climatic factors like area under each crop, yield of crop, lag period etc., increased the efficiency of forecasting models. From the best fitting models, the current total dry matter (DM) availability in India was estimated to be 510.6 million tonnes (mt) comprising of 47.2 mt from concentrates, 319.6 mt from crop residues and 143.8 mt from greens. The availability of DM from dry fodder, green fodder and concentrates is forecasted at 409.4, 135.6 and 61.2 mt, respectively, for 2030.

The ionic conductivity, thermal stability and lithium transference number have been investigated in composite polymer electrolytes (CPE) of poly(vinylidene fluoride - hexafluoropropylene) (PVDF-HFP) incorporating nano fillers of AlO[OH]n or gammaAl2O3, with LiClO4 as salt. The compatibility of the composite polymer electrolyte with lithium metal anode has also been studied. The effect of particle size on the compatibility of Li/ CPE/ Li symmetric cells has also been analyzed.
