The application of the dielectrometric technology in the combination with the resonance method and thermometry has been shown to provide an insight into a variety of factors including the influence of the magnetic field of the permanent magnets on the structure of water and water-containing systems. It was found that the magnetization of both distilled water and «Karachinskaya» mineral water increase their structuredness. Magnetization changes the biological properties of therapeutic peloids by virtue of a change in the structure of water and, accordingly, the structuring of the water fraction of therapeutic muds. The analysis of the results of experimental and theoretical studies gives evidence that variations in the structure of water and water-based systems play an important role in enhancing the effectiveness of the combined treatment with the use of the magnetic field and the natural therapeutic factors. The positive and adaptogenic effects of such treatment appears to be due to such changes in the structure of water and water-containing systems which facilitate communication between the processes in the resonant mode but maintain stability of the cellular structures by limiting the mobility of water dipoles under the influence of non-resonant frequencies.В работе с использованием диэлектрометрии, резонансного метода и термометрии показано влияние различных воздействий, включающих магнитное поле постоянных магнитов, на структуру воды и водосодержащих систем. Установлено, что при омагничивании дистиллированной воды и минеральной воды «Карачинская» происходит увеличение их структурированности. Омагничивание влияет на биологические свойства лечебной грязи через изменение структуры воды и, соответственно, структурированности водной фракции сапропеля. Анализ результатов экспериментальных и клинических исследований позволяет сделать вывод, что изменение структуры воды и водосодержащих систем играет важную роль в повышении эффективности лечения с использованием комплексного воздействия магнитного поля и природных лечебных факторов. При этом положительный адаптогенный эффект комплексного воздействия, вероятно, обусловлен такими изменениями структуры воды и водосодержащих систем, при которых облегчается взаимодействие между процессами в резонансном режиме, но сохраняется стабильность клеточных структур благодаря ограничению подвижности диполей при воздействии нерезонансных частот.

The paper studies theoretical aspects of methods for electrochemical, electromagnetic, magnetic activation of water as a confining liquid for cement systems. The ideas about processes of water structural organization are shown to be the basis for one of possible mechanisms of activating impact. Experimental data for electric conductivity, electric capacity on the example of distilled water treatment by means of magnetic field which confirm the change of water structure have been presented.

A course of silicic sapropel applications compared to calcareous sapropel induced a reversible fall of total lipid concentration in blood serum of intact rats. Sapropels of different kinds and of the same kind but obtained from different depths of the same deposit varied by their ability to correct hepatic function in rats with toxic hepatitis. The highest benefit was registered in application of carbonate sapropels taken from the depth of 1.5-2.5 m.

Effectiveness of applications of saprol and nonuniform constant magnetic field (NUCMF) used alone and in combination was studied on the model of experimental toxic rat hepatitis. NUCMF had no advantages over saprol in correction of hepatic tissue function. However, combination of these two modalities was more effective than each of them. Possible mechanisms of such effect are discussed.

The rats (100 mg/kg, once a day, per os, during 3 days) were administered suspension of benzonal in starch gel before irradiation of 12 Gy. Induced and uninduced rats were irradiated on the following day after stopping benzonal administration and were decapitated at 10, 12, 15 and 21 o'clock during the first and second day after irradiation and also on the fourth day (day of mass death of irradiated rats). It has been established that irradiation changes the dynamics of cytochrome P-450 concentration in microsomal fraction of rat liver. The essential decrease of the content of cytochrome on the second day after irradiation was accompanied by intensification of the process of its inactivation, but stoichiometry between the decrease of P-450 and the increase of cytochrome P-420 was not observed. The high inducing and stabilizing effects of benzonal on cytochrome P-450 and on the liver persisted. In comparison with irradiation the unfavourable effect of benzonal on immunocompetent organs (thymus, spleen) was not found.

The influence of X-irradiation of 12 Gy on the state of biorhythms of microsomal hemoproteins P-450 and b5 of the liver in male rats was studied. The content of these cytochromes was measured at 4, 10, 12, 15 and 21 hours in the course of the first and second days after X-irradiation and also on the fourth day (day of mass death of the irradiated rats). It has been found that disturbance of diurnal rhythms of these cytochromes begins already with third hour after X-irradiation and revealed in expressed depression of their acrophase. The diurnal rhythm of level of cytochrome P-450 is smoothed and takes the character of slowing down process, biorhythm of cytochrome b5 not being traced.

One of the most important concerns of air-hygienic research is the determination of the threshold concentration for the influence of air-contaminating substances. The threshold concentrations are the basis of the air-hygienic norms. The experimental determination of the threshold concentration with chronical influence is expensive and needs a lot of time. A new method of extrapolation of the toxicity values obtained from subacute experiments is described. Different from other methods of extrapolation the biological qualities of the substances as well as the peculiarities of the toxic process are taken into consideration. In addition, evidence on the optimal duration of the chronical experiment can be derived. The extrapolation method described is not applicable to substances with extremely intensive cumulation.
