Abstract

In this study, AISI 1035 steel was selected as the research object, and a single-pass thermal compression simulation experiment was carried out. Based on the true stress-strain curve obtained from the experiment, the dynamic DMM thermal processing map theory was used to draw the material under different thermal deformation conditions. and the rheological instability map based on the Prasad instability criterion, and the thermal processing map is used to predict the suitable processing interval and rheological instability interval for the thermal deformation process of the material under different process conditions. So as to provide theoretical support for the optimization of the material processing technology.

Abstract

In order to meet the requirements for the quality of steel structure welding projects in severe cold areas, reasonable and effective technical research and welding scheme improvement are carried out for welding in low temperature environments. Based on ABAQUS software to simulate different welding conditions, mainly for welding after traditional flame heating and ceramic sheet heating in low temperature environment, the corresponding temperature field is obtained. Compared with the actual welding results, it is concluded that the weldment welded after heating with ceramic sheet is of better quality, fully verify the accuracy of welding simulation, optimize process design, shorten the time required for practical inspection accumulation.

3. Q345C weld deformation analysis of butt joints

Abstract

Q345C steel is welded under two different pre-welding heating methods of traditional flame heating and ceramic sheet heating. The finite element analysis of the butt joint weldment by ABAQUS software is used to summarize the law of welding deformation and compare the welding quality under different pre-welding heating methods according to the residual stress and deformation trend of the welding joint weld. The results show that the main stress after welding is concentrated in the weld seam and the surrounding area. The residual stress after welding after the heating and welding of the ceramic sheet is significantly less than the residual stress after the traditional flame heating welding, and the welding after the heating of the ceramic sheet can obtain better welding quality.

4. [A case of acute fish gallbladder poisoning with multiple organ dysfunction]

Abstract

Fish bile poisoning may damage human liver and kidney, causing degeneration and necrosis. Can also damage brain cells and heart muscle, resulting in nervous system and cardiovascular system lesions. This paper reports a case of a patient who developed multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS) after oral administration of fish bile with Xiexin folk prescription for eye disease. In January 2020, he went to the poisoning and occupational diseases department of the emergency department of Qilu hospital. After receiving hemoperfusion, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) and symptomatic support treatment, the patient was improved and discharged. CRRT combined with HP is one of the rapid and effective methods for the treatment of acute fish bile poisoning.鱼胆中毒可能损害人体肝脏和肾脏，使其变性坏死；也可损伤脑细胞和心肌，造成神经系统和心血管系统的病变。本文报道一例患者听信偏方口服鱼胆一枚治疗眼疾，后出现多器官功能障碍综合征（MODS），于2020年1月到齐鲁医院急诊科中毒与职业病科就诊，经给予血液灌流、连续性肾脏替代治疗（CRRT）及对症支持治疗后好转出院。对于急性鱼胆中毒，CRRT联合HP可能是快速、有效治疗鱼胆中毒的方法之一。.

5. Feasibility study on straightening process of rotating bending for small and medium-sized shaft and pipe parts

Abstract

Shaft and pipe parts are an important steel product. Due to various factors, their straightness often exceeds the standard, which seriously affects their performance and life. In view of the limitations of the existing straightening processes, this paper proposes a rotating bending straightening process. The two ends of the workpiece are clamped by the fixtures, and the bending and rotation are realized by controlling the movement of the fixtures. In the process, the workpieces undergo multiple reciprocating bending and is finally straightened. The feasibility of the process is verified by numerical simulation and experiments. The deflection of the shaft with an initial deflection of 1 mm is less than 0.1 mm after straightening. This process can improve the straightening efficiency and accuracy, and is suitable for mass straightening.

7. [Nursing care of esophagitis dissecans superficialis caused by acute paraquat poisoning]

Abstract

The clinical data of 13 patients with esophageal dissecans superficials (EDS) induced by paraquat (PQ) in Qilu Hospital from March 2016 to April 2019 were analyzed retrospectively. EDS usually occurs on the 3rd to 9th day after taking poison, and the esophageal mucosa is different in size, color and character, in 10 cases of death, 1 case of pharyngeal pain basically disappeared on the 19th day after EDS onset, but died on the 27th day after taking poison, and 9 cases of death survived 5~19th days after taking poison, the overall cure rate was low; The pharyngeal pain symptoms of 3 surviving patients basically disappeared on day 15, 16 and 17 of EDS, and all patients had no discomfort after eating, and were cured gradually.2016年3月至2019年4月山东大学齐鲁医院收治13例口服百草枯（paraquat，PQ）致食管黏膜表层剥脱（esophagitis dissecans superficialis，EDS）患者，对其临床资料进行回顾性分析与总结。EDS一般发生于服毒后的第3~9天，且脱出的食管黏膜大小、颜色、性状不同；13病例经治疗，存活3例、死亡10例，10例死亡患者中有1例咽部疼痛症状于EDS发生后第19天基本消失，但于服毒后第27天死亡，其余9例死亡患者存活时间于服毒后5~19 d，总体治愈率偏低；3例存活患者咽部疼痛症状分别于EDS的第15、16、17天基本消失，进食后均无不适，并逐渐治愈出院。.

Abstract

ARGO-YBJ is a “full coverage” air shower detector consisting of Resistive Plate Chambers(RPCs) at the Yangbajing High Altitude Cosmic Ray Laboratory (Tibet, China) at 4300 m a.s.l. (lat=30.11° N, long=90.53° E). Using the data collected with a carpet of RPCs (1900 m 2 , about 1/3 of the whole ARGO-YBJ detector), the cosmic ray shadowing effect due to the Moon was studied. The 50% angular resolution is found to be ∼1.2° with the Chess-board method and the Moon shadow with a significance of 4.9 σ is found displaced by 0.7° westward and 0.5° northward with respect to the expected position by the equi-zenith angle Method.

Abstract

Bakelite RPCs, assembled according to the ARGO design, have been operated in the high altitude Laboratory of YBJ using dedicated electronics to pick-up the streamer signal. Here we report on the results concerning absorbed current, single counting rate, efficiency and time resolution. Abstract

The observation of the extensive air showers has been carried out since 1990 by Tibet air-shower array to study the origin of the cosmic-rays. In order to investigate the chemical composition around the knee, air-shower core detector was used in two experimental phases aiming to separate light primary elements (proton and helium). In a first phase experiment made in 1996-1999, primary proton and helium spectra were measured using a hybrid detector consisted of Tibet II air-shower array, emulsion chambers, and burst detectors. The result indicated that the fraction of light elements among the all particle spectrum is less than 30%. We performed the second phase experiment in 2002-2005 to measure proton + helium together to confirm the previous result with higher statistics by improving the detection efficiency for the air-shower cores. The P + He spectrum was obtained in a good agreement with previous result by several times higher statistics. The flux of the light elements, together with the all-particle energy spectrum, indicates the dominance of nuclei heavier than helium in the energy range around the knee. We also present the outline of the next phase experiment, which is to measure the heavy elements around the knee, using low threshold air-shower core detector named YAC. (C) 2010 COSPAR. Abstract

The ARGO-YBJ experiment is designed for the detection of Extensive Air Showers (EAS) in the primary energy range 100 GeV–10 TeV. Its full-coverage feature allows to lower the energy threshold about one order of magnitude with respect to sampling EAS detectors. Here the performance of the RPC array is described and the current status of the experiment is presented.

Abstract

The Tibet-III air shower array, consisting of 789 scintillation detectors, has been operating successfully at Yangbajing in Tibet since 1999. Some recent results on gamma-ray observation by the Tibet-III air shower array are introduced and its future prospects of gamma-ray observation will be discussed.

Abstract

Recent results and future prospects of the Tibet air-shower experiment are reported on the all-particle energy spectrum and the chemical composition of cosmic rays around 10 15 eV energy range. The knee of the all-particle energy spectrum has been clearly observed at the energy around 4 ×10 15 eV by Tibet III air-shower array located at Yangbajing, Tibet, China (atmospheric depth 606 g/cm 2 , area 37,000 m 2 ). The energy spectrum of light components (protons and helium) measured by air-shower-core detector exhibits steeper power index than that of direct measurements below 10 14 eV, leading to decreasing fraction of the light component toward the knee. Hence, it is strongly suggested that the origin of the knee is related with the change of the chemical composition of cosmic rays. A new air-shower-core detector called `YAC' is under the preparation for explicit measurement of the heavy component.

Abstract

The Tibet-III air shower array, consisting of 533 scintillation detectors, has been operating successfully at Yangbajing in Tibet, China since 1999. Using the dataset collected by this array from 1999 November through 2005 November, we obtained the energy spectrum of $\gamma$-rays from the Crab Nebula, expressed by a power law as $(dJ/dE) = (2.09\pm0.32)\times10^{-12} (E/{\rm 3 TeV})^{-2.96\pm0.14} {\rm cm}^{-2} {\rm s}^{-1} {\rm TeV}^{-1}$ in the energy range of 1.7 to 40 TeV. This result is consistent with other independent $\gamma$-ray observations by imaging air Cherenkov telescopes. In this paper, we carefully checked and tuned the performance of the Tibet-III array using data on the moon's shadow in comparison with a detailed Monte Carlo simulation. The shadow is shifted to the west of the moon's apparent position as an effect of the geomagnetic field, although the extent of this displacement depends on the primary energy positively charged cosmic rays. This finding enables us to estimate the systematic error in determining the primary energy from its shower size. This error is estimated to be less than $\pm$12% in our experiment. This energy scale estimation is the first attempt among cosmic-ray experiments at ground level. The systematic pointing error is also estimated to be smaller than $0\fdg011$. The deficit rate and position of the moon's shadow are shown to be very stable within a statistical error of $\pm$6% year by year. This guarantees the long-term stability of point-like source observation with the Tibet-III array. Abstract

We present an updated all-particle energy spectrum using data collected in the period from 2000 November through 2004 October by Tibet III air-shower array. The energy determination of the air showers is made by fitting the lateral density distribution of the shower particles to the modified NKG function which is optimized by simulation calculation using interaction models of QGSJET01c and SIBYLL2.1 taking into account of the detector configurations. It is shown that the model dependence in the energy determination is not significant, being less than 5% in the absolute flux value, and we obtained the cosmic ray energy spectrum in a wide range over 3 decades between 10(14) eV and 10(17) eV, in which the position of the knee is clearly seen at around 4 PeV. The spectral index is -2.68 +/- 0.02(stat.) below 1PeV, while it is -3.12 +/- 0.01(stat.) above 4 PeV. The various systematic errors are under study now.

Abstract

We are planning to build a large water-Cherenkov-type muon detector array around the Tibet air shower array for Gamma-ray astronomy in the 100 TeV Region. In this paper, we describe the design of the Tibet MD array and details of the Monte Carlo simulation to demonstrate the sensitivity of the Tibet AS+MD array.

Abstract

The Tibet air shower array with effective area 37,000 m 2 located at 4300m in altitude, in Tibet, China, is sensitive to celestial gamma rays with energies above a few TeV. We have a plan to add a large underground muon detector array to it in order to discriminate cosmic gamma rays from cosmic-ray hadrons and to increase its sensitivity by approximately one order of magnitude to cosmic gamma rays in the 100 TeV energy region. The overview of the plan will be briefly described.

Abstract

We searched for steady 100 TeV gamma-ray point sources from −10° to +70° in declination based on six year data obtained from Nov. 1999 to Nov. 2005 by the Tibet air shower array. No new source was found and no significant excess of events could be detected from known TeV sources. We set flux upper limits above 100 TeV on several nearby objects located inside Our Galaxy. All of them are slightly higher than extrapolation from lower energies by a factor of 1 to 20. Our new project named Tibet MD will improve our sensitivity by a factor of ∼10 in this energy region. We would discover ∼10 new sources and be able to measure cutoff energy of known and unknown sources, which might lead to identification of the origin of cosmic rays.

Abstract

We report on the spectral index of cosmic rays around 10 TeV energy region obtained by observation of the Compton-Getting anisotropy due to the terrestrial orbital motion around the Sun with the Tibet III air shower array during the period from 1999 to 2005. The spectral index has turned out to be 2.99 ± 0.54 , which is consistent with 2.74 by the direct energy spectrum measurement. This method is a new approach to measure the spectral index and is complementary to the conventional energy spectrum measurement.

Abstract

The Tibet hybrid experiment composed of emulsion chambers, burst detectors and the Tibet-II air-shower array was done at Yangbajing (4,300m above sea level, 606 g/cm2) in Tibet. For 3-year operation, we have observed 177 γ-families (ΣEγ > 20 TeV) accompanying air showers with the shower size Ne > 2 × 105. Using this data set and a neural network method to select proton and helium induced events, the primary proton and helium energy spectra are deduced between 1015 and 1016eV. The proton spectrum, thus obtained, can be expressed by a single power-law function with a differential index of −3.01±0.11 and −3.05±0.12 based on the QGSJET+HD and SIBYLL+HD models, respectively, which are steeper than that extrapolated from the direct observations of −2.74±0.01 in the energy range below 1014 eV. Our result suggests that the main component responsible for making the knee structure of the all-particle spectrum should be composed of nuclei heavier than helium.

Abstract

Simultaneous observation of gamma-families and their accompanying air showers was performed at Yangbajing (4300 m above sea level) in Tibet with the emulsion chambers and burst detectors which were linked with the Tibet-II air-shower array. For three years operation, we observed 177 gamma-families (Sigma E-gamma > 20 TeV) accompanying air showers with the size N-e > 2 x 10(5). Using this data and the simulation code CORSIKA, we obtained the primary proton spectrum in the energy range of 10(15)-10(16) eV. The slope of the observed spectrum is steeper than that extrapolated smoothly from the lower energy region below 10(14) eV, irrespective of the interaction models assumed in the simulation. The uncertainty of the absolute flux of protons due to the interaction model dependence involved in the simulation codes is at most 30%, which is much weaker than results of other air-shower experiments. Our experiment shows low intensity of light components (proton and helium) independent of the interaction models suggesting that the main component responsible for making the knee structure of the all-particle spectrum is composed of nuclei heavier than helium. This is the first measurement of the differential energy spectra of primary protons by selecting them event by event at the knee energy region.

Abstract

According to many solar observations, the solar activity, during the Solar Cycle 23, is gradually declining to the quiet phase from the high state in 2000–2004. The Tibet air shower array has been continuing the observation of the shadow that cosmic rays make in the direction of the sun or the moon since 1991. We have shown the influence of the magnetic field around the sun, the interplanetary and the geomagnetic fields for the sun shadow at the multi-TeV region. We discuss the variation of the Sun’s shadow with the Gnevyshev gap (GG) in the maximum phase of the Solar Cycle 23. Unfortunately, the bottom in GG corresponds to off-observation period. Nonetheless, we found the anti-correlation between the significance of the Sun’s shadow and the variation of the magnetic field intensity around GG, although the statistical significance is not so high. It is expected that a detailed analysis of the Sun’s shadow will reveal interesting features of the anti-correlation.

A hybrid experiment consisting of emulsion chambers, burst detectors and the Tibet II air-shower array was carried out at Yangbajing (4,300 m a.s.l., 606 g/cm$^2$) in Tibet to obtain the energy spectra of primary protons and heliums. From three-year operation, these energy spectra are deduced between $10^{15}$ and $10^{16}$ eV by triggering the air showers associated with a high energy core and using a neural network method in the primary mass separation. The proton spectrum can be expressed by a single power-law function with a differential index of $-3.01 \pm 0.11$ and $-3.05 \pm 0.12$ based on the QGSJET+HD and SIBYLL+HD models, respectively, which are steeper than that extrapolated from the direct observations of $-2.74 \pm 0.01$ in the energy range below $10^{14}$ eV. The absolute fluxes of protons and heliums are derived within 30% systematic errors depending on the hadronic interaction models used in Monte Carlo simulation. The result of our experiment suggests that the main component responsible for the change of the power index of the all-particle spectrum around $3 \times 10^{15}$ eV, so-called ``knee'', is composed of nuclei heavier than helium. Abstract

Non-resonant micro-Raman spectra from heterostructures of ZnSe on semi-insulating (SI-), n+-, and p+-GaAs using various excitation densities are reported. The effects of the carriers generated by both doping and photo-excitation have been investigated and the results are compared with those from bare GaAs substrates. The scattering from unscreened longitudinal optical phonons and coupled phonon-plasma modes in GaAs are observed in all three types of sample, but with different characteristics. The plasma was found to be electron gas in n+-GaAs but hole gas in SI- and p+-GaAs. Depending on the type of substrate and the density of excitation, the plasma effects induced by doping and photo-excitation in the surface and in the deeper regions are demonstrated. As compared to the case for bare GaAs substrates, the density of photo-carriers generated by a given excitation was significantly enhanced in ZnSe/GaAs heterostructures, demonstrating a longer lifetime and a lower recombination rate of photo-carriers in the latter type of structure. The band diagrams of the ZnSe/GaAs heterojunctions in all three cases were obtained from the Raman spectra. In contrast to the carrier effects, no electric field-induced scattering was observed in forbidden configurations.

Abstract

Within a Collaboration Agreement between INFN and CAS (Chinese Academy of Science), the ARGO-YBJ experiment is completely installed and has been in stable data taking since November 2007 at the YangBaJing Cosmic Ray Laboratory (Tibet, P.R. China, 4300 m a.s.l.). In this paper we report a few selected results in γ -ray Astronomy and Cosmic Ray Physics.

Abstract

The ARGO-YBJ experiment is designed for very high energy gamma-astronomy and cosmic ray researches. Due to the full coverage of a large area (5600 m^2) with resistive plate chambers at a very high altitude (4300 m a.s.l.), the ARGO-YBJ detector is used to search for transient phenomena, such as gamma-ray bursts (GRBs). Because the ARGO-YBJ detector has a large field of view ( about 2 sr) and is operated with a high duty cycle (>90%), it is one of the best ground-based GRB surveying apparatuses. Working at a relatively high energy threshold around a few hundreds of GeV, the ARGO-YBJ detector is operated in searches for high energy GRBs following alarms set by satellite-borne observations at lower energies. In this paper, the sensitivity of the ARGO-YBJ detector for GRB detection is estimated. Upper limits to fluence with 99% confidence level for 30 GRBs inside the field of view from June 2006 to January 2009 are set in the two energy ranges 10 GeV - 100 GeV and 10 GeV-1 TeV.

Abstract

The ARGO-YBJ experiment has two kinds of signals in the shower working mode which allows coverage of the energy region from TeV to PeV region. One is the digital strip pattern, another is so-called ‘big pad’ mode, which is the analog signal counting the pulse height on half of an RPC, proportional to the number of hitting particles. In this paper by using the Monte Carlo simulation method the ARGO-YBJ sensitivity to the cosmic ray composition is discussed, by using the ‘big pad’ signal for measuring the number of particles detected close to the shower core.

Abstract

In ground-based cosmic ray experiments, the equalization of the transit time of signals coming from different parts of the apparatus is of crucial importance for the improvement of the angular resolution and accuracy. In the ARGO-YBJ experiment, this is achieved using the Characteristic Plane Method with conical correction, studied by both Monte Carlo simulation and real data and also checked with manual absolute calibration on a portion of the detector. By introducing conical correction in primary direction reconstruction, the systematics error existing in the off-line calibration with planar fit is successfully removed. Two subsequent construction phases of the detector have been considered: ARGO-42 and ARGO-104. During the calibration of ARGO-104, events with more than 1000 hits and with the core reconstructed inside the carpet were used in order to achieve a good reconstruction of the shower, that is the arrival direction and the core position. The results of the calibration concerning the two configurations, ARGO-42 and ARGO-104, are compared and discussed.

Abstract

Within a Collaboration Agreement between INFN and CAS (Chinese Academy of Science), the ARGO-YBJ experiment is completely installed at the YangBaJing Cosmic Ray Laboratory (4300 m a.s.l., Tibet, P.R. China). ARGO-YBJ is a plane detector, with a total detection area of ∼ 6500 m 2 , made of Resistive Plate Chambers (RPCs) which provide a detailed space-time picture of the charged component of the extensive air showers. At present the detector is completely mounted and the central carpet of 5800 m 2 is operating under a multiplicity trigger N p a d ⩾ 20 , the trigger rate is about 3.5kHz and the data flow is 5MB/s. A 0.5 cm lead converter will be mounted on the detector in summer 2007.

Abstract

The ARGO-YBJ experiment is a large area full coverage detector operating at high mountain altitude (4300 m a.s.l., Tibet, China, ∼6700 m2 active surface). In scaler mode, the particle rate is recorded at fixed time intervals (0.5 s), allowing the achievement of an energy threshold as low as E t h ∼ 1 GeV for the photons. This result, together with the estimate of the effective area as a function of the primary energy, has been obtained using the simulation code CORSIKA6201 for the shower development in the atmosphere and a dedicated and detailed detector simulation, ARGOG, based on GEANT3.21. With this simulation chain, and using the known primary proton and helium spectra, we obtained counting rates consistent with the measured ones, making us confident in the expectation of the detector performance as far as the photon shower detection is concerned, which is of crucial importance to determine the capability of the ARGO-YBJ experiment to detect gamma-ray bursts (GRBs).

Abstract

The ARGO-YBJ detector is an extensive air shower array consisting of a carpet of Resistive Plate Chambers (RPCs). Very high energy (VHE) gamma ray astronomy is the main scientific goal of this Chinese-Italian experiment. High altitude and full coverage ensure a low energy threshold (few hundreds of GeV for primary photons), high duty-cycle and large field of view allow a continuous sky survey in the declination range from −10° to +70°. Also many features of the high energy cosmic rays are studied by ARGO-YBJ exploiting the unprecented shower reconstruction.

Abstract

The Tibet experiment, operating at Yangbajing (4,300 m above sea level), is the lowest energy air shower array and the new high density array constructed in 1996 has sensitivity to $\gamma$-ray air showers at energies as low as 3 TeV. With this new array, the Crab Nebula was observed in multi-TeV $\gamma$-rays and a signal was detected at the 5.5 $\sigma$ level. We also obtained the energy spectrum of $\gamma$-rays in the energy region above 3 TeV which partially overlaps those observed with imaging atmospheric Cherenkov telescopes. This is the first observation of $\gamma$-ray signals from point sources with a conventional air shower array using scintillation detectors.

Abstract

We examined the Sun's shadow by 10 TeV cosmic rays observed with the Tibet air shower array during the period from 1991 through 1997. The results suggest that there is a causal relation between the shadow's movement and the changing inclination of the heliospheric current sheet of the large-scale solar magnetic field. Thus, further observations with higher statistics may provide direct information on the relation between a time variation of the large-scale structure of the solar and interplanetary magnetic fields and the phase of solar activity cycle.

Abstract

The ARGO-YBJ experiment has been designed to decrease the energy threshold of typical Extensive Air Shower arrays by exploiting the high altitute location (Tibet, P. R. of China, 4300 m a.s.l.) and the full coverage.The lower energy limit of the detector (a few GeV) is reached with the single particle technique recording the counting rate at fixed time intervals. We present first results concerning the search for emission from Gamma-Ray Burst in coincidence with satellite detection.

Abstract

The ARGO-YBJ experiment is currently under construction at the Yangbajing Cosmic Ray Laboratory (4300 m a.s.l.).The detector consists of a central carpet, 74 × 78 m2, made of a single layer of Resistive Plate Counters (RPCs), and surrounded by a partially instrumented guard ring for a total instrumented area of about 6700 m2. The digital read-out, performed by means of pick-up electrodes 6.7 × 62 cm2 (strip), allows to measure the charged particle number of small size air showers. The technique of counting the number of fired strips on the ARGO carpet corresponds to operate in the 10÷500 TeV energy region where both direct and indirect measurements on the primary cosmic radiation have been performed. Many composition models have been proposed by different experiments. In this work we discuss the ability of the ARGO detector to discriminate among some models.
