Amelogenezis imperfekta (Aİ), kalıtımsal geçiş gösteren, süt ve daimi dişlerdeki minenin yapısını, miktarını ve bileşimini etkileyen genetik bir mine gelişim anomalisidir. Bu hastalık fenotipik olarak; hipoplastik, hipokalsifiye, hipomatür ve hipomatür-hipoplastik ile beraber gözlenen taurodontizm olmak üzere dört ana tipte sınıflanabilmektedir. Amelogenezis İmperfekta’nın süt ve daimi dişlerde estetik görünüm, fonksiyon, okluzyon, fonasyon ve dişeti sağlığı üzerin- deki olumsuz etkileri, geleneksel diş tedavilerinden daha farklı yaklaşımları gündeme getirmektedir. Bu makalede Amelogenezis imperfekta vakalarında sınıflama, teşhis, ve tedavi kriterlerinin derlenmesi amaçlanmıştır., Amelogenesis imperfecta (AI) is a genetic abnormality of enamel development that shows hereditary transmission and affects the structure, amount and composition of the primary and permanent teeth enamel. Phenotypically this disease can be classified into four main types; hypoplastic, hipocalcified, hipomature and taurodontism observed with hipomature-hypoplastic. Finite element metodu dişhekimliği araştırmalarında son zamanlarda sıkça kullanılmaya başlanan bir yöntemdir. FEM (Finite element metodu) yöntemini kullanırken, üç boyutlu dijital görüntülere sahip olmak çok önemlidir. Bu çalışmada implant destekli ve diş destekli sabit köprü protezlerinde, stres dağılımının üç boyutlu 1/1 dijital görüntüleme yöntemi ile finite element analiz yöntemi kullanılarak karşılaştırılması amaç olarak ele alınmıştır. FEM mühendislik alanında yaygın kullanılan bir stres analiz yöntemidir. Dişhekimliğinde yeni yeni kullanılmaya başlanmıştır. Literatürlerde genellikle statik değişkenlere değinilmiştir. Bu çalışmamızda fakültemize yeni alınan “ICAT” 1/1 dijital görüntüleme cihazıyla ağız ortamı bilgisayara aktarılarak dinamik değişkenlere de bakma imkanı doğacaktır. Bu çalışmamızda 3 ve 5 üyeli implantüstü sabit köprü protezler ile 3 ve 5 üyeli diş destekli sabit köprü protezlerinin üzerine gelen çiğneme kuvvetleri arasındaki farka bakılacaktır. Bu şartları taşıyan tedavileri yapılmış hastaların üç boyutlu 1/1 dijital görüntüleme yöntemi ile kayıtları alınarak çenelerin modelleri elde edilecektir. Bu modeller ağız içinin dinamik yapısını gösterecektir. Modeller bilgisayar ortamında finite element analizi yöntemi ile çiğneme kuvvetlerine maruz bırakılıp aralarındaki farka bakılarak dayanıklılık bakımından kıyaslanacaktır. Finite element analizi yöntemi çok popüler olmasına rağmen, literatürde bu konu ile alakalı yeterli kaynak olmadığından böyle bir çalışmanın gerekliliği düşünülmüştür. Anahtar sözcükler : 1. While using FEM; it is important to have a three dimensional digital imaging. The purpose of this study is to compare stress distribution of cement-retained implant-supported and tooth-supported fixed partial dentures using finite element analysis in a three dimensional digital imaging. FEM stress analysis is a method widely used in engineering. Recently it has begun to used in dentistry. Static variables are usually mentioned in the literature. In this study, intraoral situation is transferred to the computer by a 1/1 dijital imaging device newly received to our faculty, so we can look at the possibilities of dynamic variables. In this study, we will look at the differences between the chewing forces that 3 and 5 unit tooth and implant supported dental prostheses overcome. The dijital records of treated patients will be taken and then the models of the jaws will be obtained. These models show the intraoral dynamic nature. The models will be exposed to the chewing forces in computer by using finite element analysis method after that the resistance of the models will be compared. Purpose: In this study, it is aimed to compare the distribution of stress on anchorage and implants in 3-and-5-member-dental and implant supported zirconia restorations by using finite element analysis.Material and Method: Stress distribution formed in anchorage and implants as a result of chewing forces was analyzed in dental and implant (Astra Tech Microthread Osseo Speed, Sweeden) supported models of zirconia restoration with 5-member placed on the numbers of 43, 44, 45, 46 and 47 and with 3-member placed on the number of 45, 46 and 47. The study was performed through static nonlinear analysis with the three-dimensional finite element analysis method. Results: The highest and the lowest stress were respectively found on the number of 45 and 47 in 3-member dental supported model. The highest and the lowest stress in 5-membered dental-supported model were respectively found on the tooth of number 45 and on the root apex of the implant of number 43. Stress accumulation was observed in the cervical portion of the implant in implant-supported models. Stress accumulation in the tooth-supported model was found less than in implant-supported modelsConclusion: The extreme forces on the dental and implant-supported restorations with increased members can reduce survival rate of restorations in mouth. To prefer dental implants with larger diameter and longer length along with infrastructure like zirconia to design posterior implant-supported restorations can keep restorations in mouth for longer period.

Güney Afrika Cumhuriyetinde Hayvan Hastalıklarında Anaerob'ların Önemi

Background:This study aimed to review the results related to head and jaw disorders in cases of ectodermal dysplasia. The evaluation of ectodermal dysplasia cases was made by clincal examination and examination of the jaw and facial areas radiologically and on cone-beam 3-dimensional dental tomography (CBCT) images. Material and Methods: In the 36 cases evaluated in the study, typical clinical findings of pure hypohidrotic ectodermal displasia (HED) were seen, such as missing teeth, dry skin, hair and nail disorders. CBCT images were obtained from 12 of the 36 cases, aged 1.5- 45 years, and orthodontic analyses were made on these images. Results: The clinical and radiological evaluations determined, hypodontia or oligodontia, breathing problems, sweating problems, a history of fever, sparse hair, saddle nose, skin peeling, hypopigmentation, hyperpigmentation, finger and nail deformities, conical teeth anomalies, abnormal tooth root formation, tooth resorption in the root, gingivitis, history of epilepsy, absent lachrymal canals and vision problems in the cases which included to the study. Conclusions: Ectodermal dysplasia cases have a particular place in dentistry and require a professional, multi- disciplinary approach in respect of the chewing function, orthognathic problems, growth, oral and dental health. It has been understood that with data obtained from modern technologies such as three-dimensional dental tomography and the treatments applied, the quality of life of these cases can be improved.
