The antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of Allium species plants have been reported in studies. However, no study was found showing the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of Allium scorodoprasum L. ethanolic extract (ASE) in the experimental carrageenan (Carr) induced paw edema mice model. This study aimed to investigate the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects of ASE in Carr-induced paw edema mice model. The polyphenolic compounds of ASE were analyzed with HPLC. A total of 30 male Balb/C mice were randomly divided into Control, Carr, Carr + Diclofenac Sodium, Carr + ASE200, Carr + ASE400, and Carr + ASE600 groups (n=5/group). The mice paw edema was induced by 0.05 ml subplantar injection of 1% Carr. Different groups of mice with Carr-induced paw edema were administered by oral gavage with 10 mg/kg Diclofenac Sodium and 200, 400, and 600 mg/kg ASE, respectively. Orally administered ASE at 400 and 600 mg/kg significantly decreased paw swelling, and serum levels of TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6, AST, ALT, and ALP. ASE also decreased MDA levels and total oxidant status (TOS) but increased total antioxidant status (TAS) in the liver. In addition, ASE decreased paw and liver histopathologic values and neutrophil counts in paw tissues. Amaç: Bu araştırmanın amacı sağlıklı koyunlarda enrofloksasinin farklı dozlardaki (2.5-5 mg/kg) tekrarlayan (günde bir defa, 5 gün) damar içi uygulamasının hematolojik ve biyokimyasal parametrelere etkisini belirlemektir.Gereç ve Yöntem: Araştırmada Akkaraman ırkı 12 adet dişi koyun kullanıldı. Hayvanlar her grupta 6 adet olacak şekilde iki gruba ayrıldı. Enrofloksasin gruplardan birisine 2.5 mg/kg dozda diğerine ise 5 mg/kg dozda damar içi (v. jugularis) yolla günde bir defa 5 gün boyunca uygulandı. Kan örnekleri 0. (Kontrol) ve 120. saatlerde alındı. Hematolojik parametreler (WBC, RBC, HGB, HCT ve PLT) kan hücre sayım cihazında ve biyokimyasal parametreler (AST, ALT, ALP, GGT, kolesterol, trigliserid, albümin, kan üre nitrojen, kreatinin ve total protein) otoanalizör cihazında ölçüldü.Bulgular: Deney grupları arasında hematolojik ve biyokimyasal parametrelerde önemli bir farklılık belirlenemedi.Sonuç: Koyunlarda 2.5 mg/kg ve 5 mg/kg dozlarda damar içi yolla enrofloksasinin tekrarlayan uygulamalarının hematolojik ve biyokimyasal parametrelerde olumsuz bir etkiye yol açmadığı kanaatine varılmıştır. Anahtar kelimeler: Enrofloksasin, Koyun, Hematoloji, Biyokimyasal Parametreler, Aim: The aim of this study is to determine the effects of repeated administration (once a day for five days) of intravenous at different doses (2.5-5 mg/kg) of enrofloxacin on hematological and biochemical parameters in healthy sheep.Materials and Methods: Twelve Akkaraman female sheep were used in this study. The animals were divided into two groups of 6 each. One group was injected intravenously (v. jugularis) with at the dose of 2.5 mg/kg enrofloxacin, and the other was injected intravenously with at the dose of 5 mg/kg enrofloxacin for 5 days. Blood samples were collected at 0 (Control) and 120 hours. Hematological parameters (WBC, RBC, HGB, HCT ve PLT) were determined in a blood cell counter and biochemical parameters (AST, ALT, ALP, GGT, cholesterol, triglyceride, albumin, blood urea nitrogen, creatinine, and total protein) were determined in an autoanalyzer.Results: There was no significant difference in hematological and biochemical parameters between the two groups.Conclusion: It has been shown to results of the study that repeated administration of intravenous at doses of 2.5 mg/kg and 5 mg/kg enrofloxacin in sheep does not cause a negative effect on clinical hematological and biochemical parameters.Keywords: Enrofloxacin, Sheep, Hematology, Biochemical Parameters

This research was carried out to evaluate the grain yield, yield traits and some quality characteristics of 18 bread wheat genotypes in seven different locations in Thrace region using principal component analysis and genotype + genotype × environment interaction (GGE) biplot analysis to determine the genotypes with high yield and desired quality characteristics during the 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 cropping years. The experiments were arranged in a randomized complete block design with four replications. Genotype, environment and genotype × environment interactions were found statistically significant at p≤0.01 level for all investigated traits. Mean values of the genotypes varied between 4841-6807 kg ha-1 for grain yield, 118.6-131.6 days for heading date, 80.4-104.7 cm for plant height, 7.7-10.4 cm for spike length, 16.4-20.3 for number of spikelets per spike, 16.4-20.3 number of grains per spike, 1.49-2.41 g grain weight per spike, 72-77.8 kg hl-1 for test weight and 36.6-45.3 g for thousand kernel weight. Principal component biplot analyzes explained the relationships between the investigated traits and genotypes at a ratio of 60.9%. It was observed that there was a positive and significant relationship between grain yield and test weight, a negative relationship with grain yield and spike length and grain weight per spike. GGE biplot analysis explained 82.65% of the relationship of genotype + genotype x environment for grain yield. According to the GGE biplot analysis two mega environments were determined and Lucilla and Glosa genotypes took place in the biggest mega environment consisted of four environments as superior genotypes.

Kahramanmaraş koşullarında yürütülen bu çalışmada on bir adet makarnalık buğday hattı, Karakılçık yerel çeşidi ile Saragolla, Cesare, Burgos ve Levante ticari çeşitleri materyal olarak kullanılmıştır. Araştırma tesadüf blokları deneme desenine göre dört tekerrürlü olarak 2019-2020 ve 2020-2021 ürün yıllarında yürütülmüştür. Araştırmada bitki boyu, başak uzunluğu, başakçık sayısı, başakta tane sayısı, başakta tane ağırlığı, bin tane ağırlığı, tane verimi, hektolitre ağırlığı, protein oranı ve yaş gluten oranı özellikleri incelenmiştir. Çalışma sonucuna göre ortalama bitki boyu 101.09 cm, başak uzunluğu 7.72 cm, başakçık sayısı 20.41 adet, başakta tane sayısı 62.24 adet, başakta tane ağırlığı 2.60 g, bin tane ağırlığı 42.02 g, tane verimi 583.26 kg da-1, hektolitre ağırlığı 79.55 kg hl-1, protein oranı % 13.08 ve yaş gluten oranı % 24.57 olarak belirlenmiştir. Temel bileşenler analizi (PC1 ve PC2) toplam varyasyonun % 65.5 açıklamıştır. Buna göre, tane verimi ile hektolitre ağırlığı, başakta tane sayısı ve başakta tane ağırlığı arasında pozitif bir ilişki olduğu, başak uzunluğu, başakçık sayısı, bin tane ağırlığı, bitki boyu, protein oranı ve yaş gluten oranı arasında ise negatif bir ilişki olduğu görülmüştür.

In our study, as in previous studies, semi-quantitative histological analysis was performed.1 It was stated that the limitations of our study were that imaging methods, especially invasive methods and hemodynamic measurements, were not used. Doxorubicin (DOX)-induced cardiotoxicity can occur in acute and chronic periods. It is known in the literature that left ventricular systolic dysfunction accompanies DOX-induced ventricular-related acute arrhythmogenic events.2,3 In a recent study, it was found that natriuretic peptide levels predicted late-stage cardiotoxicity due to DOX.4 In our study, the ability of electrocardiography and natriuretic peptide data to predict both acute and chronic cardiotoxicities due to DOX has been already proven in clinical studies in the literature.

Antik çağlardan beri bitkiler çeşitli hastalıkların tedavisinde kullanılmaktadırlar. Morus alba da eskiden beri başta diabet olmak üzere karaciğer, dalak, immun sistem ve kardiyovasküler sistem kaynaklı pek çok hastalığın tedavisinde geleneksel olarak kullanılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada Morus albanın yara iyileşmesi üzerindeki etkileri araştırılmıştır. Çalışmada Wistar cinsi erkek ratlarda oluşturulan yara modelinde kontrol, dekspantenol (%2,5 ve %5) ve Morus alba ekstraktı (%2,5 ve %5) uygulanmıştır. Çalışma süresince 3, 6, 9, 12 ve 15. günlerde kaliper ile ölçümler yapılıp 15. Günde ratlar ötanazi edilerek histopatolojik değerlendirmeler yapılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler ışığında Morus Alba ekstraktlarının kontrol ve dekspantenol verilenlere göre daha hızlı yara iyileşmesi hızı sağladığını göstermiştir. Sonuç olarak Morus alba ekstraktının yara iyileşmesinde kullanılabileceği kanaatine varılmıştır., Plants have been used in the treatment of various diseases since ancient times. Morus alba has traditionally been used in the treatment of many diseases originating from the liver, spleen, immune system and cardiovascular system, especially diabetes. In this study, the effects of Morus alba on wound healing were investigated. In the study, dexpanthenol (2.5% and 5%) and Morus alba extract (2.5% and 5%) were applied in the wound model created in male Wistar rats. During the study, measurements were made with calipers on the 3rd, 6th, 9th, 12th and 15th days and the rats were euthanized on the 15th day and histopathological evaluations were made. In the light of the data obtained, it has been shown that Morus Alba extracts provide faster wound healing rate than those given control and dexpanthenol. As a result, it was concluded that Morus alba extract can be used in wound healing.

Drought, especially exposed in grain filling period is one of the factors negatively effects the quality parameters besides limiting the grain yield. This study was carried out to determine drought sensitivity index with drought tolerance efficiency according to the grain yield under rainfed (RF) and irrigated (IR) conditions on 28 offspring populations at F4 stage obtained by 8x8 half diallel cross of eight different bread wheat genotypes (Midas, As-14, Rumeli, Esperia, Gl-14, Krasunia odes’ka, Masaccio and Lucilla). The research was carried out at Lüleburgaz-Kırklareli location in 2017-2018 cropping season and the experiment was arranged in a randomized complete block design with four replications. According to the results, in terms of grain yield a positive heterosis value was found at rainfed conditions, while a negative heterosis value was found at irrigated conditions, and a positive heterobeltiosis was determined at rainfed conditions, while a negative heterobeltiosis value was found at irrigated conditions. The heterosis was found -5.25%, while heterobeltiosis was -10.73% under irrigated conditions. On the other hand, heterosis was found 7.61% under irrigated conditions, while heterobeltiosis was 2.39%. The drought tolerance efficiency (DTE) one of the drought resilience parameters ranked from 62.39% to 83.11%, while drought sensitivity index (DSI) ranged from 0.624 to 1.390. According to the result of this study, it is observed that F4 offspring populations investigated in the study were suitable genotypes under stressed and normal conditions. The F4 offspring populations belong to the Rumeli×Lucilla, Midas×As-14, Midas×Lucilla, G1-14×Masaccio and Masaccio×Lucilla cross combinations were found promising populations., Kuraklık, özellikle tane dolum döneminde gerçekleşen kuraklık buğdayda tane verimini sınırlandırmasının yanı sıra kalite parametrelerini de olumsuz etkileyen önemli faktörlerden biridir. Bu araştırma, sekiz farklı ekmeklik buğday genotipinin (Midas, As-14, Rumeli, Esperia, Gl-14, Krasunia odes’ka, Masaccio ve Lucilla) 8 x 8 yarım diallel melezlemesi ile elde edilen 28 adet F4 döl kuşağı popülasyonunun, sulanan (IR) ve yağmura dayalı (RF) koşullar altında tane verimi açısından heterotik etki, kuraklığa toleranslarını saptamak amacıyla yürütülmüştür. Araştırma Lüleburgaz-Kırklareli lokasyonunda 2017-2018 üretim sezonunda tesadüf blokları deneme deseninde 4 tekerrürlü olarak yürütülmüştür. Bulgulara göre, tane verimi bakımından sulanan koşullarda negatif, yağmura dayalı koşullar altında ise pozitif heterosis değeri bulunurken, yağmura dayalı koşullarda pozitif heterobeltiosis, sulanan koşullarda negatif heterobeltiosis değerleri saptanmıştır. Sulanan koşullarda heterosis % -5.25 belirlenirken, heterobeltiosis ise % -10.73 olarak tespit edilmiştir. Diğer taraftan, yağmura dayalı koşullarda heterosis % 7.61, heterobeltiosis ise % 2.39 olarak belirlenmiştir. Kuraklığa direnç göstergelerinden kuraklığa tolerans etkinliği (DTE) % 62.39 ile 83.11 arasında değişim gösterirken, kuraklığa duyarlılık indeksi (DSI) 0.624 ile 1.390 arasında değişmiştir. Bu çalışma sonucuna göre, araştırmada incelenen F4 döl kuşağı popülasyonun normal ve stres koşulları altında tane verimleri bakımından uygun genotipler olduğu gözlenmektedir. Rumeli×Lucilla, Midas×As-14, Midas×Lucilla, G1-14×Masaccio ve Masaccio×Lucilla kombinasyonlara ait F4 döl kuşağı popülasyonlarının, ümitvar popülasyonlar olarak öne çıkmışlardır.

In the study, B28 and Kunduru-1149 durum wheat genotypes were crossed as reciprocal in 2012-2013 cropping season. 13 (B28/Kunduru-1149 and Kunduru-1149/B28) reciprocal crosses were obtained and were used as materials at F5 stage. The cross combinations and the parents were screened with 10 DNA markers to determine alleles of gluten strength (Bx7OE), Yellow rust (Sun104, Xgwm18, Xwgp115 and Xgwm47), stem rust (Sun209 and Sun479), high protein ratio (UHW89), powdery mildew (Xgwm66) and leaf rust (Xgwm130). In the study, the average polymorphism information content (PIC) was calculated as 0.98 and the lowest PIC value was obtained from Xwgp115 marker with 0.96, while the rest of the markers had 0.99 PIC values. Stem rust resistance allele Sr49 was detected in B28/Kunduru-1149_F5_4 (Sun479) and B28/Kunduru-1149_F5_1 (Sun209) genotypes. One of the yellow rust resistance alleles Yr15 (Xgwm18) was detected in B28/Kunduru-1149_F5_2 and B28/Kunduru-1149_F5_3 genotypes, while Yr51 (Sun104) was identified in B28/Kunduru-1149_F5_3, B28/Kunduru-1149_F5_6, B28/Kunduru-1149_F5_7, Kunduru-1149/B28_F5_2 and Kunduru-1149/B28_F5_6 genotypes. A dendrogram was created to determine kinship of the individuals with the parents. The highest genetic similarity was observed between B28 / Kunduru-1149_F5_6 and Kunduru-1149 / B28_F5_2 genotypes with 0.714, while the most diverse ones were Kunduru-1149 and B28/Kunduru_F5_7 with 0.10., Bu çalışmada, B28 ve Kunduru-1149 makarnalık buğday genotipleri 2012-2013 ürün sezonunda resiproklu olarak melezlenmiş ve elde edilen 13 B28/Kunduru-1149-Kunduru-1149/B28 F5 kademesindeki hat materyal olarak kullanılmıştır. Sarı pas dayanıklılık allellerinden Yr15 (Xgwm18) B28/Kunduru-1149_F5_2 ve B28/Kunduru-1149_F5_3 genotiplerinde bulunurken, Yr51 (Sun104) geni B28/Kunduru-1149_F5_3, B28/Kunduru-1149_F5_6, B28/Kunduru-1149_F5_7, Kunduru-1149/B28_F5_2 ve Kunduru-1149/B28_F5_6 genotiplerinde tanımlanmıştır. Ebeveynler ile genotiplerin akrabalıklarını belirlemek için bir dendrogram oluşturulmuştur. En yüksek genetik benzerlik oranı B28 / Kunduru-1149_F5_6 ve Kunduru-1149 / B28_F5_2 genotipleri arasında 0.714 olarak tespit edilirken, birbirlerine en uzak genotipler 0.10 benzerlik oranı ile Kunduru-1149 ve B28/Kunduru_F5_7 olmuştur.

Sodyum azid (NaN3) özellikle nokta mutasyon çalışmalarında yoğun olarak kullanılan kimyasal bir mutajendir. Buçalışmada, Finola altı sıralı arpa çeşidi, kimyasal bir mutajen olan sodyum azid ile muamele edilerek 14 adetmutant arpa hattı elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen hatlar arasındaki genetik farklılık, 5 adet basit tekrarlı diziler arasıpolimorfizm (Inter Simple Sequence Repeat, ISSR) markörü yardımıyla belirlenmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre5 ISSR marköründen 24 adet bant elde edilmiş ve bu bantlardan 18 adet polimorfik allel belirlenmiş ve ortalamapolimorfizm oranı %76.33 olarak saptanmıştır. Ortalama allel sayısı 4.8 olup, 6 bant ile UBC-808 en fazla bantüreten primer olurken, en az bant üreten primerler ise 4’er bant ile UBC-820 ve UBC-825 primerleri olmuştur.Kullanılan markörlere ait ortalama polimorfizm bilgi içeriği (PIC) 0.83 olarak hesaplanmış ve PIC değeri 0.78 ile0.86 aralığında değişmiştir. Markör verileri dendrogramda 2 ana grup oluşturmuştur. Birinci kümede Fnl-4, Fnl-8,Fnl-10, Fnl-11 ve Fnl-12 mutantları yer alırken, ikinci kümede ise Finola çeşidi ile birlikte diğer mutant hatlar yeralmaktadır. Temel bileşenler analizi, Finola çeşidi ve mutant hatlardan Fnl-5, Fnl-13 ve Fnl-14 hatlarının birbirinebenzemekle birlikte, bazı alleller bakımından farklı olduklarını ortaya koymuştur. Sodium azide (NaN3) is widely used as a chemical mutagen in mutation studies, especially to induce point mutations. This study was carried out to determine genetic diversity of six-rowed barley cultivar Finola and 14 mutant lines induced by sodium azide mutagenesis agent and identified by using 5 Inter Simple Sequence Repeat (ISSR) markers. According to the results, 24 bands were produced by five ISSR markers, 18 of them were found polymorphic, and the average polymorphism rate was 76.33%. The average allele number was determined as 4.8, and UBC-808 marker had the highest allele number with 6 alleles, while UBC-820 and UBC-825 markers had the lowest allele numbers with 4 alleles. The average polymorphism information content of the markers used in the study was 0.83, and ranked from 0.78 to 0.86. A dendogram was created using marker data, and according to the dendogram, genotypes were divided into two main groups. Fnl-4, Fnl-8, Fnl-10, Fnl-11 and Fnl-12 mutants existed in the first group, while the others including Finola cultivar were in the second group. Based on the principal component analysis (PCA), Finola cultivar and mutant lines Fnl-5, Fnl-13 and Fnl-14 were evaluated as they are similar to Finola although, differed for some alleles
