Shot accuracy is very important for success in wheelchair basketball (WB) and basketball games. The kinematics of the ball affects the shot accuracy. The main purposes of this study are to comparethe kinematics of the ball according to the outcomes of WB and basketball players’ shots and comparethe shooting accuracy of WB and basketball players. Male senior athletes (17 basketball, 6 WB) voluntarily participated in the research. Participants made static shots from 6 spots (n=1515) and the analyses were made. The shots were separated into 4 groups. The first group contained the “Clean Shot”s (CS) which the ball goes into the hoop with no or 1 hit to the rim. The second contained all the “Success” shots (S) but CS. The third contained “Missed” shots, the ball hit to the rim. Fourth contained the rest of the missed shots (Air Ball). Reliable and valid 94fifty Smart Sensor Basketball was used in this research. For both WB and basketball players, CS angles were significantly higher than other shots and no significant difference was found between S angles and unsuccessful shots. CS angles of WB players were significantly higher than basketball players. This research showed that the entry angle affects CS for both sports. It is thought that it may raise CS and shooting percentage if coaches train their players by taking entry angles into consideration. Another finding of this study was CS angles of WB players are higher than basketball players. The reason for this may be the more active, hence more improved, upper extremity motor skills of the WB players.

Amaç: Kısa süreli yüksek şiddetli aktiviteler içeren hentbolda fiziksel ve fizyolojik özellikler ile atış hızı parametrelerinde cinsiyet farkı açıkça gösterilmiştir. Bu tür performans parametreleri dışında branşa ait gerçek zamanlı maç verisi elde etmek metodolojik kısıtlılıklar içermektedir. Ancak, son dönemde giyilebilir teknolojilerle kapalı alan takım sporlarında oyuncu yükünü daha detaylı incelemek mümkündür. Bu çalışmanın amacı hentbolda maç sırasında oyuncu yükünü kadın ve erkek oyuncularda pozisyonlara göre karşılaştırmaktır.Yöntem: Çalışmaya hazırlık turnuvasına katılan 2 erkek ve 2 kadın toplam 4 Türkiye Hentbol Süper Lig takımından 42 saha oyuncusu (20 kadın ve 22 erkek) gönüllü olarak katılmıştır. Kaleciler ve toplam oyun süresi 10 dakikanın altında kalan saha oyuncuları analize dahil edilmemiştir. Müsabaka öncesi kişiye tanımlanmış İnersiyal Ölçüm Ünitesi (IMU) sensörleri (OptimEye S5, Catapult Sports, Avustralya) firmanın özel yeleği ile üst gövde arkasına sabitlenmiş ve kalp atım hızı monitörizasyonu için göğüs bandı (Polar T31 Coded, Finlandiya) takılmıştır. Toplanan verilerde sporcu değişimi (yedek bankında geçen süre) ve oyun duraksamaları (aktif oyun süresi) firmanın yazılımıyla (OpenField, Catapult Sports, Avustralya) işaretlenerek filtrelenmiştir.Bulgular: Her iki cinsiyet için aktif oyun süreleri benzer olmasına rağmen oyuncu yükü ve kalp atım hızı yanıtları arasında anlamlı fark bulunmuştur. Kadın hentbolcularda toplam oyuncu yükü ve ortalama oyuncu yükü erkeklere göre daha yüksek iken erkek hentbolcularda pik oyuncu yükü istatistiksel olarak daha yüksek bulunmuştur (265.50±93.06 PL total, 255.80±81.59 PL total; 8.30±1.27 PL/dak, 8.07±1.64 PL/dak). Benzer olarak oyuncu yükü yoğunluk bölgelerinde erkekler kadınlara göre düşük seviye bölgelerde daha az, yüksek seviye bölgelerde daha çok oyuncu yükü eforu göstermiştir. İç yük yanıtları kadın hentbolcuların kalp atım hızı tükenme parametresinde erkeklere göre anlamlı yüksek bulunmuştur.Sonuç: Bu araştırma bulguları hentbol branşındaki çoğu anahtar performans belirteçlerindeki cinsiyet farkının maç sırasında oyuncu yükünde de literatürle uyumlu olarak anlamlı farklılıklar olduğunu göstermiştir. Ancak, daha yüksek sayıda maçın dahil edildiği ve rekabetin daha yüksek olduğu lig düzeyindeki maçlardan toplanacak verilere ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır., Aim: In handball, which demands short-term high-intensity activities, gender differences have been clearly shown in physical and physiological characteristics and throwing velocity parameters. There are limitations in gathering real-time handball specific match data except for these types of performance parameters. However, recently, a more detailed examination of the player load in indoor team sports is possible with wearable technologies. This study aims to compare the position-specific player loads of male and female players during the handball match.Method: The forty-two field players (20 female and 22 male) from four different Turkish Handball Super League teams (2 male's and 2 female's teams) that played in a friendly tournament voluntarily participated in this study. Goalkeepers and field players whose total playing time is less than 10 minutes were not included in the analysis. Before the games, all players suited up a manufacturer-made vest that included Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) sensors (OptimEye S5, Catapult Sports, Australia) at the posterior side of the upper trunk and also wore a compatible chest band (Polar T31 Coded, Finland) for the monitoring heart rate. In the gathered data, player substitutions (time spent on the bench) and game pauses (active playing time) were filtered by marking with the manufacturer's software (OpenField, Catapult Sports, Australia).Results: Although active playtimes were found to be similar for both genders, there was a significant difference between player load and heart rate responses. Total player load and average player load were higher in female handball players, while peak player load was statistically higher in male handball players (265.50±93.06 PLtotal, 255.80±81.59 PLtotal; 8.30±1.27 PL/min, 8.07±1.64 PL/min, respectively). Similarly, in player load density zones, male players showed less player load effort in low-level zones and more player load effort in high-level zones than females. Internal load responses were found to be significantly higher in the heart rate exhaustion parameter of female handball players in comparison to men.Conclusion: In line with the literature, these research findings showed that the gender difference in most of the key performance indicators in handball showed significant differences in player load during the match. However, further studies are required to gather data from more competitive league-level matches where a higher number of matches are included.

Starting basketball/sports at young ages, participating in practices and games for years improves children in various subjects. Chronic exercise provides a physical and physiological improvement, while also supporting cognitive development significantly. The aim of this study is to apply cognitive tests that we think reflects some cognitive skills to both athlete and sedentary adolescents compare and evaluate these test results. Twenty-two licensed male adolescent basketball players (x̄:15.59 ±.66 age) and 13 sedentary adolescents (x̄: 15.08 ±.76 age, 5 female) who did not exercise in their daily routine participated in the study. All participants were aged between 12 and 18. Three different cognitive skill tests (Mackworth Clock Test, Timewall Test, and Change Detection Test) were applied among the participants via the “Psychology Experiment Building Language Test Battery” on a laptop computer, and the results were recorded. Success in fencing is gained by making quick decisions and acting quickly during the bout. This study aimed to determine the body composition of fencers competing in the U 10-12 age categories and to examine the relationship between the 30-m speed test (30-m ST) and the 7-m repeat lunge ability test (7-m RLAT). Thirty-eight sabre fencers (female: 25 and male: 13) participated in the study. The anthropometric properties of the participants were determined, then the 30-m ST and the 7-m RLAT, a specific test for fencing, were performed. The differences between sexes were evaluated using the Mann-Whitney U test because the data were not distributed normally, and Spearman correlation analysis was performed to determine the relationship between performance tests. When the results of the study were examined, there was no significant difference between the sexes in the physical characteristics and performance tests of the athletes (p>0.05). Also, when all fencers were evaluated together, a significant relationship was found between the 30-m ST and the 7-m RLAT (rs(36)=0.526, p=0.001). Özet: Bu çalışmanın amacı elit ulasal kadın hentbol takımlarında ek saha oyuncusu kuralının bir taktiksel girişim olarak etkilerini araştırmaktır. IHF 2020 kadınlar dünya şampiyonasında oynanan toplam 39 rekabeti yüksek maç notasyon analizi ile incelenmiştir. Takımların kalecilerini kenara alarak azlıkta hücumu tolere ettikleri ya da eşit sayıda hücumu bozarak sayısal çokluk yakaladıkları durumlarda gol, 7-m ve 2-dak kazanma, atış hatası, teknik hata, boş kaleye gol yeme, boş kaleye kaçan atışlar ve değişme hatası parametreleri her 10 dakika için ayrıca kaydedilmiştir. Tüm maçlarda 5&6 ve 7&6 durumları karşılaştırıldığında tüm parametrelerde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark görülmüştür. Kazanan ve kaybeden takımların 5&6 ve 7&6 durumlarında ek saha oyunsuyla oynama sonucu analiz edilen parametreler için anlamlı fark bulunmamıştır. Maçın ilerleyen periyotları karşılaştırıldığında hem 5&6 hem de 7&6 durumlarında elde edilen parametrelerde istatistiksel anlamlı farklılık belirlenmemiştir. Çalışma bulguları bu taktiksel varyasyonun hücumda fazla oyuncuyla oynamaktansa ceza alan takımlarca sayısal eşitliği yakalamak üzere daha çok kullanıldığını ve takımların boş kale ile hücum etme riskine karşın anlamlı bir olumsuzlukla karşılaşmadıklarını göstermiştir. Bu araştırma bulguları kadın hentbolunda ulusal takımlar seviyesinde ek saha oyuncusu kuralına başvuran takımların atak etkinliği artışı sağlamadığı ancak boş kaleyle hücum etme riskinin de olumsuz neticeleri de beraberinde getirmediğini göstermektedir.

Amaç: Sıçrama yüksekliği anaerobik gücü değerlendirmek için kullanılan saha testlerinden birisidir. Literatürdeki mevcut sıçrama yüksekliği ölçüm yöntemlerinin laboratuvarda maliyetli ekipmanlar gerektirmesi veya hassas ölçüm yapamayan saha testleri kullanması gibi kısıtlılıkları vardır. Bu araştırmanın amacı sıçrama yüksekliğinin ölçümü için taşınabilir, ucuz, kullanımı kolay bir yöntem geliştirmek ve bu yöntemi bilinen yöntemler ile karşılaştırmaktır. Video Hareket Analizi Sistemi (CAM), Lazerli görüntüleme ve ölçüm sistemi (LIDAR, LID), Inersiyal sensörler (IMU), Ultrasonik sensörler (US), kızılötesi sensörler (IR) ve kuvvet sensörü (FSR) ölçüm sistemleri ile yapılan ölçümler referans yöntem olarak kabul edilen fotoelektrik sensörle (PES) yapılan ölçümler ile karşılaştırılmıştır.Yöntem: Araştırmaya sağlıklı 51 erkek gönüllü (23.61±4.62 yaş, 178.46±7.16 cm, 78.55±12.39 kg) katılmıştır. Katılımcılar ölçüm öncesinde içinde sensör sistemlerinin ve kayıt ünitelerinin olduğu bir yelek giymiştir. FSR sensörü koruyucu bir neopren kısım ve velcro bant ile katılımcının ayakkabısı altına yerleştirilmiştir. Son olarak katılımcının vücut kütle merkezine IMU ve aktif işaretçi sabitlenmiştir. Sensörlerin çalışması kontrol edildikten sonra katılımcının elleri belinde sabit olarak 90 s arayla üç kez sıçrama (Counter Movement Jump, CMJ) yapmıştır. PES ile ölçülen en iyi iki şıçrama değerlendirmeye alınmıştır. Sıçramalar yüksek hızda kamerayla tampon tetikleme kullanılarak 2s'lik veri olarak kaydedilmiş ve görüntüler Matlab yazılımı ile işlenmiştir. Farklı yöntemlerle yapılan ölçümler tekrarlayan ölçümlerde ANOVA ile karşılaştırılmıştır. Ölçümlerin referans yöntemler ile uyumunu göstermek için Blant Altman uyum grafiği çizilmiş, Değişim Katsayısı hesaplanmış ve linear regresyon modellemesi yapılarak regresyon formülü gösterilmiştir. Yöntemlerin referans ölçümle korelasyonu iki yönlü, rastgele, tek ölçümde, mutlak uyumu sınıf içi korelasyon ICC (2,1) ile hesaplanmıştır. Ölçümlerin hatalarının değerlendirilmesi için Ölçümün Standart Hatası (SEM) değerleri hesaplanmıştır. Bulgular: US sensöründen alınan sıçrama verileri Doppler etkisi nedeniyle bozulduğu için değerlendirilememiştir. IR sensör verileri LIDAR sensöründen ~500hz hızında gönderilen lazer ışınlarının neden olduğu artefaktlar görülmüş ve işleme alınmamıştır. FSR, CAM, IMU, LID ve PES ölçümleri arasında fark bulunmamıştır (F(3,303)= 2.338, p=.074).
