Aim/objective: This study examined the relationship between climate change anxiety, intolerance of uncertainty, and future anxiety levels of nursing students. Background: The effects of climate change, an important global problem, on people's emotional and intellectual states are becoming increasingly important. It is important to understand to what extent prospective health professionals, such as nursing students, are affected by such environmental concerns and the possible impact of this level on their professional behaviors to develop an environmentally focused approach to health services. Design: This study was conducted using a descriptive and correlational design. Methods: Students enrolled in the Nursing Undergraduate Program of a university in Turkey in the 2023–2024 academic year participated in the study. The participants were administered a personal information form, climate change anxiety scale, intolerance of uncertainty scale, and future anxiety scale in university students. The data were evaluated using advanced statistical analyses, and relationships were examined. Results: As a result of these analyses, it was determined that there was a significant relationship between future anxiety and climate change anxiety in university students (R = 0.234, p =.000). In addition, there was a substantial relationship between climate change anxiety and intolerance of uncertainty (R = 0.562, p =.000). Conclusions: These findings indicate significant and linear relationships between nursing students' emotional and cognitive states associated with environmental factors such as climate change, uncertainty, and future anxiety. The current study aimed to identify the level of self-efficacy, the level of ambition, and the future anxiety of secondary school students in the city of Hail, And revealing the relationship between the level of self-efficacy and the level of ambition and future anxiety, And to identify the differences between the level of self-efficacy, the level of ambition, and future anxiety according to the variables (grade, specialization), And to identify the differences between the average scores of the high and low self-efficacy groups and the level of ambition on future anxiety, And finally, to identify the extent to which the variables of self-efficacy and the level of ambition contribute to future anxiety among secondary school students in the city of Hail To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive approach was used The study sample consisted of (200) high school students, The researcher used the self-efficacy scale prepared by Nevin Al-Masry (2011),The Ambition Level Scale, prepared by Karima Ayed Mujahid (2018), The Future Anxiety Scale, prepared by Zainab Shukair (2005), The results of the study showed that the degree of self-efficacy and the level of ambition was high, while the degree of future anxiety was moderate and tended to be high, The study also found a statistically negative correlation between self-efficacy, level of ambition and future anxiety, The results also showed that there are no statistically significant differences on the study variables (self-efficacy, level of ambition and future anxiety) according to the variables (grad, specialization). The study also found that there are statistically significant differences between the scores of students with high self-efficacy, level of ambition, and low self-efficacy in favor of high self-efficacy on the scale of future anxiety. AbstractThis study examines the effect of the unemployment anxiety experienced by young adults on their hopelessness through anxiety concerning the future in Türkiye. The study proposes that unemployment influences job hopelessness through future anxiety. Using the survey method, 720 responses were solicited from young adults. A structural equation model was constructed to test the reliability and validity of the measurement, as well as the structural model. The study results showed that unemployment and future anxiety influence hopelessness. Future anxiety (FA), characterized by apprehension about unfavorable changes in the near and distant future, intersects with loneliness and quality of life (QoL). Moreover, it is widely established that aging may influence both loneliness and QoL. Despite acknowledging the impact of FA on QoL, the underlying mechanisms of this relationship are poorly understood. In this study involving 5409 participants (82.12% females), FA, loneliness, and QoL scales were employed to construct a moderated mediation model. FA served as the exogenous variable, QoL as the outcome, and loneliness as the mediator, with age introduced as a moderator. Results showed a direct negative effect of FA on QoL (b=-0.449; p < 0.001) and an indirect effect through loneliness (b=-0.133; p < 0.001). Furthermore, this relationship was negatively moderated by age, suggesting that older individuals, potentially due to greater social connection and support than younger individuals, exhibit a buffering effect, mitigating the impact of future anxiety on their QoL. Abstract Due to the repeated changes in the COVID-19 pandemic, we live in an era of various uncertainties that raise future anxiety and behavioral addiction problems. According to the Protection Motivation Theory (PMT), the present study attempted to explore the impact of COVID-19 intolerance of uncertainty (COVID-19 IU) on internet addiction (IA) among college students and the mediating role of future anxiety (FA) by constructing a mediating model. A questionnaire survey was conducted on 679 Chinese college students and PROCESS 3.5 was utilized to test the hypotheses. The results indicated that the COVID-19 IU was significantly positively correlated with IA and FA, and FA was significantly positively correlated with IA. COVID-19 IU had a significant positive predictive effect on IA; FA played a complementary partial mediating role between COVID-19 IU and IA. The results supported the PMT, which not only enriched our understanding of FA under uncertain life circumstances, but also deepened our understanding of the potential mechanisms of the effects of IA. Finally, discussions and suggestions were presented based on the results.

Previous research has already examined the relationship between Future Anxiety, a construct recently introduced in Italy, and mental health in young adults, although possible mediating variables in this relationship have so far never been investigated. The present study attempts to fill this gap by exploring the incidence of Future Anxiety on psychological distress (i.e., Stress, Anxiety and Depression) in a group of 302 young Italian adults (18–30 years; M = 21.9; SD = 2.6; 49.0% males; 51.0% females), presenting and evaluating the simultaneous mediating effect of Intolerance of Uncertainty and Non-Pathological Worry. Findings highlighted how Future Anxiety had a positive and significant direct effect on Stress and Depression, but not on Anxiety. In the three serial mediation models proposed, Intolerance of Uncertainty and Non-Pathological Worry mediated the relationship between Future Anxiety and mental health outcomes. The results also confirmed the hypothesized serial mediation effect by highlighting how young adults with greater Future Anxiety experienced more Intolerance of Uncertainty, which positively affected Non-Pathological Worry levels and, in turn, exacerbated psychological distress. Finally, results indicated that female participants experienced more Stress, Anxiety, and Depression in relation to Future Anxiety compared to males. Starting from the review of main references on this subject, the results discussed provide new insights for understanding youth psychological distress. Finally, practical implications for the design of supportive interventions for this study’s target group are proposed.

Abstract Background Through the years, studying negative behaviors of the worldwide population seized the spotlight from many researchers who focused on building scales in order the measure the level of worries, fear and even depression of such stressed individuals. By definition, “Future anxiety” (FA) is fueled by negative thoughts leading to intense fear of unknown future events. The Dark Future scale (DFS) measures the level of anxiety experienced towards the future. Our aim was to examine the psychometric properties of a novel Arabic translation of the DFS. Methods A sample of 684 Arabic-speaking young adults (65.6% women) filled the DFS, TEMPS-M (temperaments) and DASS-8 (psychological distress). Results Confirmatory factor analyses (CFA) supported a unidimensional model of the DFS score, with all 5 items retained. This scale had good reliability. Moreover, concurrent validity demonstrated significant associations between DFS scores and psychological distress, depressive, cyclothymic, irritable and anxious temperament. Scores achieved scalar invariance across gender, with women having greater exposure to anxiety about the future. Conclusion Overall, these findings led to the conclusion that the Arabic DFS is a psychometrically valid tool for the assessment of FA. The DFS is a brief, reliable and easy to apply scale that would help researchers in psychology and psychiatry in assessing anxiety about future.

Background/Objectives: Depression and anxiety are prevalent disorders, particularly during emerging adulthood. Uncertainty about the future, exacerbated by unstable times, can lead to heightened future anxiety in this group. This study aimed to examine the complex associations of depression symptoms, future anxiety, and self-efficacy in adults from Poland. Additionally, we investigated age and gender differences in depression symptoms, future anxiety, and self-efficacy. Methods: A cross-sectional online survey study was performed in 2023 in Poland using snowball sampling. A convenience sample of 284 adults participated in this study, ranging in age between 18 and 65 years old (M = 32.18, SD = 11.87), including 95 men (33.45%) and 189 (66.55%) women, and also 157 (55.63%) emerging adults (18–28 years old) and 126 (44.37%) middle-aged adults (29–65 years old). The Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9), Dark Future Scale (DFS-5), and Generalized Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES) were used to measure depression, future anxiety, and self-efficacy, respectively. Results: A 2-way ANOVA showed that both emerging adults and women scored significantly higher in depression symptoms and future anxiety than middle-aged adults and men, respectively. Furthermore, women scored lower in self-efficacy than men. Analyses revealed that there was a positive correlation between depression and future anxiety. Self-efficacy was negatively correlated with depression and future anxiety. Self-efficacy and future anxiety accounted for 48% of depression variance, controlling for age and gender. Future anxiety was found to be a partial mediator of the relationship between self-efficacy and depression. Conclusions: This study significantly advances the understanding of mental health in adults, grounded in social cognitive theories, revealing that low self-efficacy heightens future anxiety, thereby exacerbating depression symptoms in the Polish adult population, independent of age and gender. Emerging adults and women need psychological support to reduce depression and future anxiety. Women, in particular, should be the main focus of interventions to boost self-efficacy. Climate Change is a phenomenon that has been increasingly investigated in the literature from a psychological perspective for its impact on mental health, particularly that of young adults who, already affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, are highly worried about it. Despite this, few studies have been conducted in the Mediterranean region, especially in southern Italy, and little consideration has been given to the role of other variables in the relationship between environmental emotions and mental health. The present study aims to explore the relationship between Climate Change Worry and Depression, Anxiety, and Stress in a sample of 283 Italian young adults (age range 18–25; M = 21.3; SD = 1.7) from Southern Italy (91% from Campania), examining the mediating effect that Intolerance of Uncertainty and Future Anxiety have on the target. At the same time, it endeavors to explore the joint effect of the two mediators in the relationship between Climate Change Worry and Psychological Distress. Findings highlighted that Climate Change Worry had a significant positive effect on Anxiety and Stress levels and positively influenced Intolerance of Uncertainty and Future Anxiety; the latter two also increased the impact of Climate Change Worry on Psychological Distress, acting as vulnerability factors in all parallel mediation models performed and, specifically, in the fully mediated Depression model. Furthermore, the findings of the serial model corroborated the joint effect of the two mediators and highlighted how young adults with higher levels of Climate Change Worry experienced more Intolerance of Uncertainty, which positively influenced Future Anxiety levels and, in turn, exacerbated the Global Psychological Distress. Finally, levels of Psychological Distress, Climate Change Worry, and Future Anxiety were significantly higher in women. To conclude, exploring the indirect pathways through which negative environmental emotions affect Psychological Distress seems to be a fertile research area to study in more depth the impact of the climate crisis on new generations. Technological developments cause anxiety for many individuals in today's conditions. The reasons for this anxiety can be listed as the inability to keep up with and comprehend the advancements, the obligation to learn new things, the fear of losing one's current job, the necessity to step out of the familiar, and the potential negative consequences arising. In this study, the anxiety generated by one of the most significant technological developments, artificial intelligence (AI), on professionals in the service sector has been examined through face-to-face interviews, and findings have been evaluated accordingly. The interviews were conducted with 46 participants in the age range of 22-54. The participants included IT personnel, data analysts, business intelligence experts, computer engineers, software specialists, business analysts, and interns in the field. The study focuses on the sub-dimensions of AI anxiety, such as unemployment, learning, functions, interaction, and reducing human needs. Upon examining the findings, it was determined that the future anxieties of employees regarding AI are moderate. However, it was emphasized that the general cause of anxiety is often the failure to fully grasp technological innovations, and if adaptation and training are pursued, these anxieties will decrease. Thus, it can be said that even though the need for humans may decrease, qualified individuals will not be affected. The most concerning issue for participants is identified as security vulnerabilities. Access to personal data, surveillance, tracking, and location identification are highlighted as the most worrisome aspects. This study aims to identify the level of future anxiety among students of the College of Arts - Sana’a University. It also seeks to examine the nature of the differences in their level of future anxiety based on (gender and academic level variables. Future Anxiety scale (prepared by Fadila Al-Sabaawi) was adopted and applied on a stratified random sample of (200) male and female students. The study results showed that future anxiety among students of Arts and Human Sciences college, Sana’a University was distributed into three levels: the moderate level, with a percentage of (50%), the low level, with a percentage of (45%). The high level, at a rate of (5%). It was also revealed that there were no statistically significant differences in the level of future anxiety among students of the College of Arts - Sana’a University attributed to (gender, academic level) variable. Additionally, there were no differences in the averages of the areas of the scale, suggesting that students of Arts and Human Sciences College - Sana'a University, of both sexes, exhibited anxiety over future at a near-similar average and below average level. The Russian–Ukrainian conflict is affecting mental health even in communities that are not directly involved in the war; added to this is the escalating conflict in the Middle East and its dangerous spread, which brings the war back to the center of the contemporary social and economic horizon. The present study aims to explore the psychological impact of war in a sample of 310 Italian young adults (18–30 years; M = 22.0; SD = 2.6) while exploring the relationship between Fear of War and psychological distress and evaluating the mediating effects of Future Anxiety and Intolerance of Uncertainty in this relation. Findings highlighted how Fear of War positively and significantly affects Stress, Anxiety, and Depression, and, at the same time, how it fuels both Future Anxiety and Intolerance of Uncertainty. These constructs, in addition to positively affecting the mental health outcomes considered, mediate the relationship between Fear of War and youth psychological distress with a significant indirect effect observed in all three mediation models performed. Finally, significantly higher levels of psychological distress, Fear of War, and Future Anxiety are reported in women than in men. The findings are discussed with reference to the recent literature on the psychological impact of war and on contemporary youth psychological distress, indicating the importance of educational policies and targeted interventions aimed at supporting this target in coping with multiple contemporary collective stressors.

Abstract Background Positive thinking is a mental attitude that focuses on positive thoughts and beliefs in order to improve one’s outlook on life and is linked to a variety of positive psychological and health consequences, as well as decreased anxiety and depression. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of an intervention program on positive thinking, resourcefulness skills, and future anxiety among caregivers of children with intellectual disability. A quasi-experimental design was used on 70 caregivers whose children were attending the intellectual education school in Zagazig City. Data were collected through an interview questionnaire sheet composed of sociodemographic datasheet and child characteristics, the Positive Thinking Skills Scale (PTSS), the Resourcefulness Skills Scale (RSS), and the Future Anxiety Scale. Results The mean score of future anxiety was lower at the post-intervention phase compared to pre-intervention among the participants’ caregivers. Otherwise, the mean scores of positive thinking, social resourcefulness, personal resourcefulness, and total resourcefulness were higher at the post-intervention phase compared to pre-intervention among the participants’ caregivers. Positive thinking improved among 60.76%, resourcefulness skills among 19.49%, and future anxiety decreased among 21.30% of the caregivers after the intervention. Conclusion The intervention program was efficient in improving the caregivers’ positive thinking and resourcefulness skills and decreasing their future anxiety. Recommendations A continuous psychosocial training program is recommended to enhance the caregivers’ positive thinking and improve other aspects of psychological adjustment.

The study aimed to determine the effectiveness of a counseling program based on some positive psychology techniques in developing the positive self and reducing future anxiety among secondary school students in the Jazan region. The quasi-experimental approach was used, and the study sample consisted of (30) high school students who obtained degrees. High scores on the level of future anxiety test and low scores on the positive self scale. The two study tools were the positive self scale prepared by Abdel Khaleq and others (2003), and the future anxiety scale prepared by Al-Mushaykhi (2009). The results resulted in statistically significant differences between the average ranks of the two groups. The experimental and control groups on the positive self and future anxiety scales after applying the counseling program are in favor of the experimental group, and there is a statistically significant difference between the average ranks of the experimental group members’ scores between the two applications: pre and post of the counseling program in the positive self and future anxiety scales in favor of the post measurement, which indicates that The counseling program is effective in developing the positive self and reducing anxiety about the future among the study sample. The results also showed that there are no statistically significant differences between the average ranks of the two applications: post and follow-up for the experimental group on the two scales of the positive self and anxiety about the future, which indicates the continued effect of the counseling program in developing the positive self. The experimental group reduced the level of future anxiety, and the study recommended intensifying and developing guidance programs related to positive self-development. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study aims to analyze the effect of perceived future employability on future anxiety of undergraduate and associate degree students studying healthcare management in Turkish universities. In addition, whether there is a difference between students' perceived future employability and future anxiety levels in the context of demographic variables was also investigated. As a result of the findings, it was determined that perceived future employability has a negative and statistically significant but low effect on future anxiety. The effect of the sub-dimensions of the perceived future employability scale on future anxiety was also examined, and it was found that the dimensions of perceived future communication network, expected reputation of the educational institution and perceived future skills predicted future anxiety negatively and statistically significantly. In the context of demographic variables, a statistically significant difference was found only in the gender variable. Future anxiety of women is higher than that of men. Within the framework of these results, it is possible to say that the perceived future employability levels of undergraduate and associate degree students studying healthcare management in Turkish universities are high, and most of their future concerns are shaped by different factors. The present study aimed to verify the effectiveness of the Bareec program in developing positive thinking among high school students and reducing the level of future anxiety they have. It also aimed to reveal the type of relationship, if any, between positive thinking and future anxiety. And to achieve the goal of study, the descriptive approach was followed using Causal Comparative design. This study was applied to a sample of 60 high school students, divided into two groups (experimental and control) by 30 students for each group. Using the scale of positive thinking of Eslim (2017), and the scale of future anxiety of Abdulaziz (2014), the study reached many results: The presence of statistically significant difference between the average scores of the students who applied the Bareec program in favor of the post measurement on the positive thinking scale, which indicates the effectiveness of the Bareec program in the development of positive thinking for the students of the experimental group, and the absence of statistically significant differences between the average scores of the students on the scale of future anxiety for the experimental group. Also, a negative correlation between positive thinking and future anxiety among students of the experimental group, and based on the results obtained, a set of proposals and recommendations were presented. This study belongs to descriptive studies, and within its framework, the researcher used the sample survey method, besides questionnaire and content analysis were used as tools to collect the required data, and the study was applied to a random sample of (647) individuals from the Egyptian Public through the electronic application. The analytical study was also applied to a sample of the social media platforms of Al-Youm Al-Sabea newspaper and Al-Masry Al-Youm newspaper. The study concluded that there is a statistically significant correlation between the respondents’ exposure to media coverage of the Israeli aggression via the electronic newspapers' social media sites and their level of future anxiety and social fear. Background: Positive thinking is a mental attitude that focuses on positive thoughts and beliefs in order to improve one's outlook on life and is linked to a variety of positive psychological and health consequences, as well as decreased anxiety and depression. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of an intervention program on positive thinking, resourcefulness skills, and future anxiety among caregivers of children with intellectual disability. A quasi-experimental design was used on 70 caregivers whose children were attending the intellectual education school in Zagazig City. Data were collected through an interview questionnaire sheet composed of sociodemographic datasheet and child characteristics, the Positive Thinking Skills Scale (PTSS), the Resourcefulness Skills Scale (RSS), and the Future Anxiety Scale. Results: The mean score of future anxiety was lower at the post-intervention phase compared to pre-intervention among the participants' caregivers. Otherwise, the mean scores of positive thinking, social resourcefulness, personal resourcefulness, and total resourcefulness were higher at the post-intervention phase compared to pre-intervention among the participants' caregivers. Positive thinking improved among 60.76%, resourcefulness skills among 19.49%, and future anxiety decreased among 21.30% of the caregivers after the intervention. Conclusion: The intervention program was efficient in improving the caregivers' positive thinking and resourcefulness skills and decreasing their future anxiety. Recommendations: A continuous psychosocial training program is recommended to enhance the caregivers' positive thinking and improve other aspects of psychological adjustment. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract Objective The aim of the current study is to evaluate the moderating effect of psychological distress variables, depression, anxiety and stress on the relationship between affective temperaments and future anxiety, assessed with the Dark Future scale. Methods Lebanese adults from all districts/governorates of Lebanon participated in this cross-sectional study. The data was collected through a questionnaire including: a section about sociodemographic characteristics, the Dark Future scale (DFS), the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS-8) and the Affective Temperament Scale (TEMPS-M). Results The interaction irritable temperament by psychological distress (p = .007) was significantly associated with dark future; at low levels of psychological distress, more irritable temperament (Beta = 0.16) was significantly associated with more dark future. The interaction anxious temperament by psychological distress (p = .010) was significantly associated with dark future; at low (Beta = 0.34), moderate (Beta = 0.25) and high (Beta = 0.15) levels of psychological distress, more anxious temperament was significantly associated with more dark future. Conclusion The nature of the associations among depression, anxiety and stress, specific temperaments and anxiety towards the future in a sample of Lebanese individuals was clarified. This is especially significant as Lebanese people live in circumstances that promote psychological distress and future anxiety such as dramatic economic and political crises, instability and lack of security in different aspects of life.

Background/Objective: The Dark Future Scale (DFS) is a selfreport instrument which assesses the tendency to think about the future with anxiety, fear, and uncertainty. Although it has been applied in different populations, instrumental studies are scarce, and there is no validated Spanish version. The aim was therefore to develop a Spanish version of the scale (DFS-S) and to analyze its psychometric properties in a sample of young adults. Method: Participants were 1,019 individuals aged from 18 to 24 years. They completed the DFS-S and the IPIP-BFM-20. Validity evidence based on the internal structure, including measurement invariance across gender, as well as on relationships with personality traits was obtained. Reliability and gender differences in DFS-S scores were also examined. Results: Results supported a single-factor structure, χ2(5) = 10.79, CFI = .999, RMSEA = .034, SRMR = .016, that was invariant across gender. Reliability of test scores was satisfactory (ω = .92). In the correlation analysis, future anxiety showed a strong positive correlation with neuroticism (.42) and a moderate negative correlation with extraversion (-.25). Females scored higher than males on future anxiety. Conclusions: The DFS-S has satisfactory psychometric properties and it is an adequate tool for measuring future anxiety among young adults. Climate Change is a phenomenon that has been increasingly investigated in the literature from a psychological perspective for its impact on mental health, particularly that of young adults who, already affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, are highly worried about it. Despite this, few studies have been conducted in the Mediterranean region, especially in southern Italy, and little consideration has been given to the role of other variables in the relationship between environmental emotions and mental health. The present study aims to explore the relationship between Climate Change Worry and Depression, Anxiety, and Stress in a sample of 283 Italian young adults (age range 18–25; M = 21.3; SD = 1.7) from Southern Italy (91% from Campania), examining the mediating effect that Intolerance of Uncertainty and Future Anxiety have on the target. At the same time, it endeavors to explore the joint effect of the two mediators in the relationship between Climate Change Worry and Psychological Distress. Findings highlighted that Climate Change Worry had a significant positive effect on Anxiety and Stress levels and positively influenced Intolerance of Uncertainty and Future Anxiety; the latter two also increased the impact of Climate Change Worry on Psychological Distress, acting as vulnerability factors in all parallel mediation models performed and, specifically, in the fully mediated Depression model. Furthermore, the findings of the serial model corroborated the joint effect of the two mediators and highlighted how young adults with higher levels of Climate Change Worry experienced more Intolerance of Uncertainty, which positively influenced Future Anxiety levels and, in turn, exacerbated the Global Psychological Distress. Finally, levels of Psychological Distress, Climate Change Worry, and Future Anxiety were significantly higher in women. To conclude, exploring the indirect pathways through which negative environmental emotions affect Psychological Distress seems to be a fertile research area to study in more depth the impact of the climate crisis on new generations.

Introduction: Although the first COVID-19-related lockdown in the Spring of 2020 has contributed to an increase in mental health problems in many children worldwide, less is known about the longer-term effects of the pandemic on their (future) anxiety. This article examines resilience factors against children's Covidrelatedfut ure anxiety (CRFA). Methods: N = 140 children (48,6% female) in 3rd and 4th grade classrooms in Northern Germany were asked to self-report about their CRFA, their anxiety, and the social climate in their classrooms in September (T1) and December 2020 (T2). Results: Results indicate that 18.6% of the children experienced CRFA "often" in at least one item of the CRFA scale at T1. CRFA was more pronounced in girls and in children from immigrant families. Changes in children's CRFA between T1 and T2 were predicted by changes in their anxiety and changes in classroom climate. Children in classrooms with increasing levels of peer support tended to have decreasing levels of CRFA, whereas their agemates' CRFA in less supportive classrooms tended to increase over time. Discussion: These results suggest that peer and teacher social support may bolster children's resilience against future anxiety in challenging times. The aim of this study was to determine the mediator role of self-esteem in the effect of learned helplessness on future anxiety. In addition, it was aimed to examine whether the mentioned variables varied according to the demographic characteristics of the participants. The sample group of the research consisted of students of the faculty of health sciences of a public university in the 2022-2023 academic year (n=287). This study was designed as a causal screening research, one of the quantitative research methods. The data were collected using the Learned Helplessness Scale, Future Anxiety Scale and Rosenberg's Self-Esteem Scale. The descriptive and crosssectional data were analyzed using the SPSS 22 program. Independent sample t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Post Hoc Tukey test were used in the evaluation of learned helplessness, future anxiety and selfesteem according to demographic characteristics, and in determining the difference between groups. Hayes' Process Macro (Model 4) and bootstrap (5000 bootstrap samples) were used in the mediator variable model. According to the results of the mediation test analysis; when the direct effects were examined, it was found that learned helplessness had a significant and negative effect on self-esteem (ß= -,543), and a significant and positive effect on future anxiety (ß= ,347). When the indirect effects were examined by including self-esteem in the model, the indirect effect of learned helplessness on future anxiety (ß= ,170) was determined to be significant and positive. University students' employment anxiety is affected by economic crises, pandemics, lack of experience, incomplete learning, unemployment rates of the country, the department of study, occupational goals and environmental factors of individuals. This study aims to determine which factors affect university students' employment anxiety and to explore the impact of learning losses experienced during the pandemic on employment anxiety and the coping strategies developed by students. For this reason, qualitative research method was used in the current study. In the research, categories and codes were created using the Maxqda 2022 package program. Research data were collected through two different methods: focus-group interviews and semi-structured interviews. The sample of the study consisted of 16 participants, 9 female and 7 male. As a result, in addition to individual and environmental factors, incomplete learning experienced with the pandemic period affects university students' employment anxiety, and students have developed various ways of coping with them. The third chapter included the field procedures that the researcher followed in completing the thesis requirements, and the researcher used the (experimental) method for its suitability to the nature of the current research. The research community included the students of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, the fourth stage, in the College of Basic Education for the universities (Mosul, AlMustansiriya, Diyala) who numbered (245), while the sample amounted to (20) students from the research community, and the research tools included an anxiety scale. Introduction: Due to the encounter of the research community with information and the discussion of distinguishing true from false information that individuals face during a crisis, this study endeavors to determine the relationship between health literacy and e-health literacy with the acceptance of conspiracy beliefs and anxiety. The future in the face of covid-19 among graduate students of Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz has been conducted.Methods: The population for this correlational survey study of the research was the post-graduate students of Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz in the academic year 2018-2019, which included 362 individuals in the research sample. The instrumentation included a 32-item questionnaire adopted from Duplaga & Grysztar (2021). The data were analyzed using the Pearson correlation coefficient test.Results: Correlation analysis test was used to measure the relationship between the variables. It was found that health literacy and e-health literacy had an inverse relationship with acceptance of conspiracy belief and future anxiety, and increasing health literacy and e-health literacy decreased acceptance of conspiracy belief and anxiety.Conclusion: According to the findings, students with higher health literacy act more intelligently against false and fake information and future anxiety caused by it, as well as conspiracy theories related to the information. Therefore, increasing health literacy and e-health literacy of students can help to fight against the negative consequences and bad effects of health crisis and information diseases.

The aim of this research is to re-describe the devastating earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş on 06 February 2023 in a new situation outside of their daily lives for earthquake victims, their concerns about the future, their changing living conditions, in short, the social effects of the disaster. In the research, the experiences of the earthquake victims during the earthquake, the damage and losses, the rescue and aid activities, and the dimensions of the eco-psycho-social problems they experienced after the earthquake were tried to be understood from their perspective. In addition, the meaning attributed by the earthquake victims to the disaster they experienced was tried to be revealed. The study was carried out using the observation and flexible qualitative interview technique of 20 participants in Mersin KYK Dormitory and Mersin Karaduvar neighborhood, where they were placed 25 days after the earthquakes, which had a devastating effect in terms of loss of life and property. On 4 August 2020, an explosion shook Beirut, killing more than 200 people and leaving thousands injured or homeless. This study examined mental health of university students through a cross-sectional online survey between December 2020 and January 2021. The questionnaire consisted of the WHO-5, sense of coherence (SoC), future anxiety, self-developed subjective symptoms of mental strain (SSMS), and items assessing proximity to explosion, extent of injury and house damage. Gender, study level and social status were used as sociodemographic characteristics. Of 1042 participants, 30.8% were at 0–7 km from explosion; 38.1% reported physical injuries; and 12.4% saw their home damaged. Two third (60.3%) reported ≥3 SSMS, and 73.4% reported low well-being. Students with low well-being were more often female and master students (p < 0.001). Females were more often affected by ≥3 SSMS (p < 0.001). Regression analysis with low well-being as dependent variable revealed significant associations with study level (OR: 2.30–2.94), future anxiety (OR: 2.72–4.34) and SoC (OR: 1.81–5.61). For ≥3 SSMS, females (OR: 3.09), moderate/very close distance (OR: 2.13–4.98), injury/death of family member or friend (OR: 2.07–2.06), house damage (OR: 1.72) future anxiety (OR: 1.97–3.11) and SoC (1.79–2.88) were significant predictors. Preventive mental health strategies that strengthen SoC and outlook on future could protect against SSMS and low well-being following major trauma. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Anxiety is present in every stage of human life, but it mostly manifests itself in youth. It is possible to talk about anxiety in being a student, which is one of the most important processes of the youth period. It can be said that especially during the university period, students experience future anxiety. In this study, it was aimed to examine the future anxieties of associate degree students. In the research, the interview technique was preferred within the scope of the qualitative research method. In the research, an interview form with 11 questions was used to determine the demographic-personal characteristics of the students such as age, gender, grade point average, personality type, and the anxiety of finding a job, the difficulties encountered during the education, future planning, the reason for choosing the department, and the future anxiety of the students. Data were collected from 15 students enrolled in Aksaray University Medical Documentation and Secretarial Program. The obtained data were subjected to descriptive and content analysis. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that the concepts of employment anxiety, anxiety about not being appointed, exam stress, difficulty of the courses, inability to adapt, economic problems, hopelessness, life difficulty, wrong choice, number of graduates and dislike of the department were the factors associated with students' future anxiety. The current study aimed to identify the partial contribution regarding the best learning method in predicting the stress of the students enrolled in the preparatory course of the Islamic University of Madinah. The descriptive approach was used (predictive) through the application of the Learning Styles Scale (Biggs al., 2001) and the future anxiety scale (Zainab Shukair, 2005) against a random sample of 184 students from the preparatory year in Islamic University of Madinah.The results concluded that the preferred learning style according to the participants of this study is deep learning, with an mild level of future anxiety, In addition, it is possible to predict the of future anxiety by knowing the preferred learning style of the student. Furthermore, the results show that the method of deep learning is the most capable of predicting the of future anxiety.
