Gençler, “anne sütü / emzirme” konulu sağlık eğitimi programlarının kilit paydaşlarıdır. Bu çalışma, genç bireylerin anne sütü ve emzirme algısını değerlendirmek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Tanımlayıcı araştırma türünde olan bu çalışma iki şehirde ve bu şehirlerdeki iki farklı üniversitede yürütülmüştür. Belirlenen üniversitelerden ilkinde müfredatları içerisinde “Anne Sütü ve Emzirme” ile ilişkili bir ders bulunan bir bölüm; diğer üniversitede müfredatları içerisinde aynı kapsamda herhangi bir ders bulunmayan bir bölüm randomizasyonla belirlenmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini, bu iki bölümde öğrenim gören gönüllü 381 katılımcı oluşturmuştur. Veriler, Kişisel Bilgi Formu ve Anne Sütü Algı Ölçeği kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Katılımcıların yaş ortalaması 20,95±1,60’dur, %50,9’u “Anne Sütü ve Emzirme” ile ilişkili ders / eğitim almış, %49,1’i herhangi bir ders / eğitim almamıştır. Katılımcıların ölçek toplam puanı ortalaması 61,82±15,86(min:30, max:150)’dir. Çalışmamızda müfredatları kapsamında anne sütü ve emzirme ile ilişkili ders / eğitim alan Katılımcıların anne sütü algı puanları yüksek bulunmuştur. Kadın katılımcıların erkek öğrencilere göre, anne eğitim düzeyi ortaokul ve üzerinde olan katılımcıların anne eğitim düzeyi ilkokul ve altında olanlara göre, gelir durumunu “yüksek düzey” olarak tanımlayan katılımcıların gelir durumunu “düşük / orta düzey” olarak tanımlayanlara göre anne sütü algı puanları yüksek bulunmuştur (p0,05). Anne sütü ve emzirme ile ilişkili sağlık eğitimleri ve danışmanlık hizmeti yalnızca kadınlar için değil toplumun her kesiminden ve her yaştan bireyleri içine alacak şekilde genişletilmelidir. Background: Premenstrual syndrome affects women’s physical, psychological, and social health negatively. Moreover, it causes behavioral disorders such as anger, crime, and aggression tendencies. However, there is a limited number of studies in the literature which examined the relationship between premenstrual syndrome and crime, aggression, or violence. Objective: The objective of this study was to identify the relationship between premenstrual syndrome and aggression tendencies. Methods: This is a descriptive study. The 774 voluntary adolescent girls studying at a state university in Turkey constituted the sample of the research. Results: The mean age of adolescent girls was 19.05 ± 1.64. The mean age of first menstruation for the participants was 13.35 ± 1.23. It was determined that 58.3% of the participants had a premenstrual syndrome. Pandemic process increase the vulnerability of women to intimate partner violence (IPV). IPV is one of the greatest stress sources a woman can face. This study's purpose to determine effects of the Covid-19 pandemic process on the IPV status and perceived stress levels of women. The population of the descriptive study consisted 834 women working at a state university in Turkey's. 452 women who with intimate partner relationships were included in the sample. Data collection tools were applied via online survey link. The mean age of the women was 30.6 ± 4.20. The The Perceived Stress Scale mean scores of the women were 40.18 ± 3.20. They are not able to cope with stress effectively. It was determined that women participated the study were exposed to more IPV during the pandemic process. It was found that as the frequency of IPV increased, women's perception of stress also increased. Purpose: The aim of the study was to determine the effects of workload on the styles of anger expression and “trait anger” of health professionals working in a COVID‐19 pandemic hospital. Design and Methods: This descriptive study was carried out at a COVID‐19 pandemic hospital in Turkey. The sampling consisted of 493 healthcare professionals. The data were evaluated with the SPSS (23.0) software program. Findings: The study found that the participants who perceived the workload as higher, and could not tolerate the work they performed, were high in “trait anger” levels and their anger was suppressed. Practice Implications: Health institutions should consider the recognition of emotional risks and the planning of interventions as a priority for professionals involved in the care of COVID‐19 infected patients. PurposeGynecological cancers are preventable and treatable diseases in case of early diagnosis. However, lack of knowledge is one of the factors preventing women from benefiting from early diagnosis. Increasing women's knowledge of gynecological cancers contributes to improving the health of both women and the community. The purpose of this research study was to determine the affecting factors and knowledge level of Turkish women-related gynecological cancer prevention.Design/methodology/approachThis was a cross-sectional descriptive study and was carried out at a state hospital's outpatient clinic between May and June 2019. The sampling included 496 women who are not diagnosed with gynecological cancer in the individual or in the family. Data were collected using the personal information form and Gynecological Cancer Prevention Information Scale (GCPIS). Data were evaluated using the SPSS 22.0 software program. Frequencies, mean and standard deviation were used for the descriptive variables. For the data that met the parametric conditions, those with two groups were analyzed using independent samplest-tests and those with more than two groups were analyzed usingF-test.FindingsIn this study, the GCPIS total mean score of women was found 16.22 ± 8.21 (min: 0, max: 35). Purpose The prenatal distress level of the pregnant woman is influenced by many variables. Personality characteristics are one of the most important of these variables. Knowing personality characteristics of pregnant women contributes to the personalization of care. The purpose of this paper is to identify the effect of personality characteristics of pregnant women at risk on the prenatal distress level. Design/methodology/approach A total of 438 women who were hospitalized based on a medical diagnosis associated with pregnancy were included in the study. The participants were administered the Personal Information Form, Cervantes Personality Scale and Revised Prenatal Distress Questionnaire. Data were evaluated using the SPSS 22.0 software program. Findings Of the pregnant women, 27.4 percent found their ability to cope with stress insufficient, and one-fifth of them found their social support insufficient. The pregnant women at risk with introverted, neurotic and inconsistent personality were found to have high levels of prenatal distress. Research limitations/implications This study was conducted on a group of Turkish pregnant women and cannot be generalized to other cultures. The data obtained from the research cannot be used to evaluate the psychological and physical disorders of the pregnant woman. Practical implications All health care professionals should evaluate women not only physically but also mentally and emotionally, beginning with the preconceptional period. They should determine the conditions that create distress and identify the personality characteristics that prevent from coping with stress. By using cognitive and behavioral techniques, pregnant women should be trained to gain skills on subjects such as risk perception and stress management, personality characteristics and coping, problem solving, psychological endurance and optimism. Caring initiatives should be personalized in line with personality characteristics of pregnant women. The care offered within this framework will contribute to the strengthening and development of the health of not only the women but also the family and society, and to the reduction of health care costs. Social implications Researchers have determined that pregnant women at risk with introverted, neurotic and inconsistent personality characteristics have higher distress levels. They have determined that these pregnant women find their ability to cope with stress more inadequate. It is vital to cope with stress during pregnancy due to its adverse effects on maternal/fetal/neonatal health. Originality/value The prenatal distress level of the pregnant woman is influenced by many demographic (age, marital status and socioeconomic level), social (marital dissatisfaction, and lack of social support), personal (self-esteem, neuroticism and negative life experiences) and pregnancy-related (experiencing risky pregnancy, and previous pregnancy experiences) variables. The study was conducted in order to determine the relationship between women's perception of support and control during childbirth on fear of birth and mother's satisfaction. This descriptive study was carried out at the postpartum clinics of a state hospital. Seven hundred and twenty-five puerperal women were included in the sample. T test in independent groups and Pearson's correlation test were used in the evaluation of the data. Seventy-six percent of the puerperal women had vaginal birth, 24% had caesarean section. The mother's perception of control and support at birth was moderate (99.04 ± 17.30), the fear of birth was at clinical level in most of them (92.8%), and the satisfaction at vaginal and caesarean births was low. Amaç: Çalışmanın amacı, Sağlık Hizmetleri Meslek Yüksekokulu öğrencilerinin Covid-19 pandemi sürecinde uzaktan eğitim modeline ilişkin görüşlerini ve önerilerini belirlemektir. Gereç ve Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı araştırma tipinde olan bu çalışma, bir devlet üniversitesinin Sağlık Hizmetleri Meslek Yüksekokulu’nda yürütülmüştür. Çevrim içi anket uygulamasına katılan 1000 öğrenci araştırmanın örneklemini oluşturmuştur. Veriler, “Uzaktan Eğitime Dair Öğrenci Görüş ve Önerileri Anketi” ile toplanmıştır. Çalışmadan elde edilen veriler SPSS 22.0 programı ile değerlendirilmiştir. Verilerin analizinde, tanımlayıcı istatistiksel analizler kullanılmıştır.Bulgular: Öğrencilerin yalnızca %21,3’ü uzaktan eğitim modelini, öğrenmeyi sağlama noktasında “etkili” bulmaktadır. Öğrencilerin %85,6’sı uzaktan eğitim sürecinde maddi harcamalarının azalmasını, %81,0’i ders materyallerine sınırsız şekilde ulaşabilmesini, %70,5’i hastalık riskinin azalmasını avantaj olarak nitelendirmiştir. Öğrencilerin %89,0’u klinik uygulama yapamasını ve deneyim kazanamamasını en önemli dezavantaj olarak belirtmiştir. Uzaktan eğitim sürecinin iyileştirilmesi için öğrencilerin %92,6’si derslerin daha fazla materyal ile desteklenmesini, %84,0’ü danışmanlık sistemlerinin aktif şekilde yürütülmesini önermektedir. Sonuç: Günümüzde gerek Covid-19 pandemisi gerekse gelişen teknolojiler sayesinde zaman ve mekandan bağımsız uzaktan eğitim uygulamaları yaygınlaşmıştır. Material and Methods: The descriptive research was performed in a Vocational School of Health Services in a state university. 1000 students who participated in the online survey application formed the sample of the study. The data were collected through the "Student' Views and Suggestions Questionnaire on the Distance Education Model". The data obtained were analyzed in SPSS 22.0. Descriptive statistical analysis was used in the analysis of the data.Results: Only 21.3% of the students found the distance education model "effective". 85.6% of the students described the reduction of their financial expenses in the distance education process, 81.0% of them having unlimited access to the course materials, 70.5% as the reduction of the disease risk as the advantages of the distance education. 89.0% of the students stated that being unable to practice clinical practice is the most important disadvantage of the distance education. In order to improve the distance education process, 92.6% of the students suggested that the courses should be supported with more materials and 84.0% of them suggested that the consultancy systems should be actively carried out.Conclusion: Nowadays, with the impact of both the Covid-19 pandemic and technological developments, the distance education applications independent of time and place have become widespread. Purpose: This study's purpose was to determine the attitudes of students studying in various fields related to health services towards gender roles and intimate partner violence. Design and Methods: The descriptive study sample was composed of 441 volunteer students. The data were collected by the Intimate Partner Violence Attitude Scale‐ Revised (IPVAS‐R) and Gender Roles Attitude Scale (GRAS). Findings: The GRAS and IPVAS‐R mean scores were 114.10 (18.00) and 57.77 (4.45), respectively. A statistically significant negative relationship was found between the IPVAS‐R and GRAS total mean score. Practice Implications: The participants with negative attitudes allowing the violence also had more traditional attitudes towards gender roles. Purpose: The objective of this study is to develop the Sexual Orientation Myths Scale (SOMS) and to specify its validity and reliability. Design and Methods: This is a methodological research. Voluntary participiants studying at a state university in Turkey constituted the samples of the research. Findings: The Cronbach's ? coefficient of the scale is 0.85. In the factor analysis carried out with the remaining 19 items on the scale, a five-factor structure that explained 57.628% of the variance and had a factor loading value of above 0.40 emerged. Factorial model of scale was found an excellent fit. Purpose: In the current study, the relationship between internet use, anxiety levels, and quality of life (QOL) of Turkish pregnant women was investigated. Design and Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted 623 pregnant women who were able to access the internet at home, at work, or on mobile phones. Findings: It was determined that internet usage among Turkish pregnants is common (82.7%). Statistically significant negative correlations were determined between the pregnant women’s trait anxiety levels and all the subscales of the QOL questionnaire. WOS: 000415351300004, This research was conducted to determine sexual myths and sexual health knowledge levels of Turkish university students. The research is descriptive research. It was performed between 8 and 12 February 2015 in a state university in Turkey. The study sample consisted of 1379 students. Data were collected using the Personal Information Form, Sexual Myths Scale (SMS) and Sexual Health Knowledge Test (SHKT). Data were analyzed in the SPSS program. The mean age of students was 21.7 +/- 1.27 years. Their first sources for obtaining information about sexuality related issues were as follows: peer/friends (59.1%), internet (42.5%), written materials (31.5%). SMS mean score of the students was 82.21 +/- 17.37. SHKT mean score of the students was 19.94 +/- 6.16. The SMS mean score of the male students was higher than that of the female students. The students living in urban areas had a lower SMS mean score and a higher SHKT mean score than did the students living in the rural areas. The students having well-educated mothers had a lower SMS mean score and a higher SHKT mean score than did the students with low-educated mothers (p < 0.05). There was a statistically significant negative correlation between SMS and SHKT. It is recommended that school-based education programs should be extended and that the peer education model should be integrated into the existing education programs to reduce the number of sexual myths among young people at risk and to increase their sexual health information. more...

Objective: The aim of this study is to develop a valid and reliable measurement tool to determine the knowledge level of women about gynecologic cancer prevention. Methods: This study is of the methodological research type. The number of draft scale items in this study is 50. Women were taken to sample 10 times for each item (500 women) and pre-test was applied to 125 women which was 25% of the sample. The scale was re-applied to the first pre-test group after 3 weeks by test-retest method. The data were collected by using the Personal Information Form and Gynecologic Cancer Prevention Information Scale. The suitability of the data for factor analysis was investigated by the Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin coefficient and by Barlett's test of sphericity. In order to test the construct validity of the scale, exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were performed. Results: Content validity index of the draft scale was 94%. AAmaç: Araştırmanın amacı, Heaman ve Gupton tarafından geliştirilen Gebelikte Risk Algısı Ölçeği (GRAÖ)’nin Türkçe geçerlik ve güvenirliğini belirlemektir.Gereç ve Yöntem: Türkçe ölçek formu, Eylül 2018-Ocak 2019 tarihleri arasında il merkezinde bulunan iki hastaneye başvuran toplam 349 gebeye (164 riskli ve 185 sağlıklı) uygulanmıştır. Riskli gebelik tanısı alarak kliniklerde yatarak tedavi gören kadınlar ve rutin gebelik izlemleri için polikliniğe başvuran kadınlar araştırmanın örneklemini oluşturmuştur. Gebelere Kişisel Bilgi Formu ve GRAÖ Türkçe formu yüze görüşülerek uygulanmıştır. Bulgular: Gebelerin yaş ortalaması 27.65 ± 6.03’dir. Gebelerin %47’si mevcut gebeliklerinde riskli gebelik tanısı almıştır. Mevcut gebeliklerinde “riskli gebelik” tanısı alan kadınların %52.8’inin erken doğum tehditi yaşadığı belirlenmiştir. Madde analizi sonucunda ölçek madde toplam korelasyonlarının r = 0.47 ile 0.67 arasında olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ölçeğin Cronbach alfa katsayısı 0.84'dür. Testi yarılama yöntemi sonucunda Spearman-Brown güvenirlik katsayısı 0.79; Guttman Split-Half 0.79 bulunmuştur. Özdeğeri 1’i aşan, toplam değişkenliğin %57.866’sını açıklayan, faktör yükü 0.40-0.67 arasında olan 9 maddeli 2 faktörlü bir yapı elde edilmiştir. Yapılan doğrulayıcı faktör analizi ile ölçeğin kuramsal ve istatistiksel olarak kabul edilebilir düzeyde uyum gösterdiği bulunmuştur. Sonuç: GRAÖ Türkçe formu, sağlık profesyonelleri tarafından gebelerin “kendisine” ve “bebeğine” yönelik mevcut risk algısının değerlendirilmesinde kullanılabilir., Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the reliability and validity of Turkish form of Perception of Pregnancy Risk Scale that was developed by Heaman ve Gupton.Materials and Methods: The Turkish scale was administered to 349 pregnant women (164 risky and 185 healthy) who were admitted to two hospitals in the city center between September 2018 and January 2019. The sample of the study consisted of women who were hospitalized in clinics with the diagnosis of risky pregnancy and women who applied to outpatient clinic for routine pregnancy follow-up. Personal Information Form and Turkish form of Perception of Pregnancy Risk were applied to pregnant women by interviewing face to face.Results: The mean age of the pregnant women was 27.65 ± 6.03. 47% of the pregnants were diagnosed as risky pregnancy in their current pregnancy. 52.8% of risky pregnants have a diagnosis of preterm birth risk. As a result of item analysis, the total item correlations of the scale were found to be between r = 0.47 and 0.67. Cronbach Alpha coefficient was found 0.84. Spearman-Brown reliability coefficient was 0.79; Guttman Split-Half 0.79. Two factors consisting of 9 items, factor load is between 0.40-0.67, explaining 63.479% of total variability and whose eigen value is over 1 were obtained in factor analysis done with oblimin rotation for construct validity. Factorial model of scales were found theoretically and statistically accepted compliance after confirmatory factor analysis. AIM This study aimed to determine the effects of a postpartum sexual health education programme structured according to Levine's conservation model on postpartum women. METHODS The interventional study was completed with 67 postpartum women. The intervention group was given the postpartum sexual health education programme structured according to Levine's conservation model. The control group received routine discharge training. The data were collected using a personal information form, The Index of Female Sexual Function, Arizona Sexual Experience Scale and Golombok-Rust Inventory of Sexual Satisfaction. RESULTS It has been determined that the decrease in sexual arousal and desire is the first among postpartum sexual problems experienced by women. This study demonstrated that sexual function, sexual satisfaction and sexual response were higher in nonbreastfeeding women, women who had sexual intercourse one to three times a week and women who could talk to health care professionals on sexual matters. After the programme, the intervention group had more adequate sexual function, and they developed a strong, easy and satisfactory sexual response than the control group (p < 0.05). CONCLUSION This programme was effective in increasing the sexual functions and satisfaction of the postpartum women. Aim:This study was aimed out to determine the sexual myths and personal opinions of midwifery and nursing students regarding the assessment of sexual health of individuals under their care.Method: This descriptive research was carried out with 254 students receiving education in the midwifery and nursing department of a state university. Research data was collected using Personal Information Form and Sexual Myths Scale (SMS).Findings: 89,4% of the students regarded assessment of sexual health as a requirement of their profession, while 57,1% were found to make no assessment of individuals’ sexual health, and 69,3% were found to feel uncomfortable while discussing sexual issues. 69,3% of the students deemed themselves partly sufficient as to their knowledge on sexuality, and 59,1% thought that the training on the assessment of sexual education they received during their vocational education was not sufficient. Design and Methods This is an interventional study. Peer educators were asked to perform educational activities for the intervention group. The participants in the control group were not subjected to any interventions. Data collection tools were simultaneously administered to all students in the intervention (n = 646) and control groups (n = 532). Findings The Peer Education Program Pertaining to Sexual Myths applied to the interventon group by peer educators is effective in reducing sexual myths and increasing sexual knowledge level. The draft scale consisted of 74 items, and it was applied to 746 university students. Cronbach Alpha coefficient was found 0.91, and the test-retest reliability coefficient was 0.814. Eight factors consisting of 28 items, explaining 65 % of total variability were obtained in the factor analysis done with varimax rotation for the construction of validity. The factorial model of scale was found theoretically and statistically convenient after the confirmatory factor analysis. WOS: 000435060300001, PubMed ID: 29452943, This study assesses the efficacy of simulation-based episiotomy training (SBET) with beef tongue and sponge models in terms of the self confidence of midwifery students while performing episiotomy. Third-year midwifery students from Cumhuriyet University in the fall semesters of 2011 and 2012 were enrolled in the sponge and beef tongue model groups (n = 36 and n = 37, respectively). A checklist was prepared on the required skills for performing episiotomy which can be broken into three main parts, namely preparation, cutting and repairing and completion. According to the checklist, a Liken type questionnaire was developed including 5 items for preparation, 11 items for cutting and repairing, and 6 items for completion. After SBET with the sponge and beef tongue models in our laboratories of Midwifery Department, the students performed episiotomy steps in laboring women in Sivas State Hospital and then they filled in the questionnaire to indicate whether they gained self-confidence in performing episiotomy or not. Although, participants of both groups have successfully completed all the steps of episiotomy, overall, beef tongue model was found to be more successful regarding their self-confidence (p < 0.05), including the skills in performing local anesthesia; choosing needle holder, suture material and scissor for cutting; identifying apex, hymen and skin; using needle holder properly while penetrating into the skin, suturing vaginal mucosa until hymen, knotting, and suturing perineal muscles and skin. WOS: 000328274200081, PubMed ID: 24289624, The current study determines the knowledge of female course attendees of the "Municipality Cultural Center for Women", located in the city center of Sivas, Turkey, and their attitudes regarding gynecological cancer prevention. The participants of the study include 497 women attending one of the two Municipality Cultural Centers situated in the city center of Sivas. In this study, the sample was not selected; all participants were encompassed within the scope of our research. A total of 418 female course attendees who volunteered to participate in the research were identified as the sample. The data were collected during the months March-June 2011, by a questionnaire developed by the researchers. To compare the distribution of the collected data "Anova", "two independent t test examples" and "chi square test" were used. The research indicates that 45.1% of the women had had gynecological examination as a consequence of a physical disorder. The reason for 54.9% of the women to have gynecological examination is to have been scanned to check for gynecological cancer, 51.2% had a pap smear test. Some 34.9% of them had obtained information about cervical cancer, 39.7% via radio, television or internet and 36.3% from a doctor. Bu çalışmanın amacı, yenidoğan tarama testleri eğitiminin annelerin bilgi düzeyleri üzerine etkisini belirlemektir. Araştırma, tek grup ön test – son test araştırmasıdır. Örneklemi postpartum dönemde bulunan 464 kadın oluşturmuştur. Kadınlardan eğitim öncesinde "Kişisel Bilgi Formu" ve "Yenidoğan Tarama Testlerine İlişkin Bilgi Formu"nu doldurmaları istenmiş, ardından "Yenidoğan Tarama Testlerine İlişkin Eğitim Rehberi" doğrultusunda eğitim verilmiş, eğitimi takiben kadınlardan "Yenidoğan Tarama Testlerine İlişkin Bilgi Formu"nu yeniden doldurmaları istenmiştir. Amaç: Bu araştırmanın amacı, üniversite öğrencilerinin cinsellik ve cinsel sağlıkla ilişkili bilgi düzeylerini değerlendirmeyi sağlayacak bir ölçme aracı geliştirmek, geçerlik ve güvenirliğini belirlemektir. Yöntem: Cinsel Sağlık Bilgi Testi'nin geçerlilik ve güvenilirliğini belirlemek amacıyla yapılan metodolojik çalışmada, katılımcıların cinsellikle ilgili konularda bilgi düzeylerini ölçmek amacıyla 59 sorudan oluşan çoktan seçmeli test oluşturulmuştur. Uzman görüşü yoluyla testin kapsam geçerliliği değerlendirilmiştir. Uzmanların önerileri çerçevesinde testte yer alan sorularda düzeltmeler yapılmıştır. Test, bir devlet üniversitesinde okuyan 113 öğrenciye uygulanmıştır. Verilerin analizi SPSS 14 programında yapılmıştır. İstatistiksel analizde madde güçlük indeski, madde ayırt edicilik indeksi ve Cronbach alfa güvenilirlik katsayısı hesaplanmıştır. Bulgular: Yapılan analizler doğrultusunda güvenilirlik katsayısı 0.88 olan 40 sorudan oluşan testin son hali elde edilmiştir. Method: In this methodological study a questionnaire composed of 59 multiple choice questions, regarding issues related to individuals' sexuality, was composed. Validity of question content was reviewed by an expert. Recommended corrections were made and questions determined to be unsuitable were excluded according to the expert's opinion resulting in 40 approved questions. The questionnaire was distributed to students (n=113) at Cumhuriyet University. Data was evaluated with the SPSS 14 package program. Correlation of item difficulty and item discrimination values were calculated in the statistical analysis. Cronbach alpha reliability was calculated in order to determine the internal consistency of questions in the questionnaire. Results: The Cronbach alpha reliability coefficient was found to be 0.88. Amaç: Çalışma, yenidoğan tarama testlerine ilişkin annelerin görüşlerini belirlemek ve tarama programlarına katılma durumlarını saptamak amacıyla planlandı. Yöntem: Araştırma, tanımlayıcı araştırma türündedir. Örneklemi Kasım 2015 - Mart 2016 tarihleri arasında bir üniversite hastanesinin postpartum kliniklerinde yatan 398 kadın oluşturdu. Kadınlara araştırmanın amacı açıklandı, sözel onam alındı, onam veren kadınlara veri toplama araçları uygulandı. Kadınlar ile taburculuk sonrası tekrar görüşüldü ve taburculuk sonrası yenidoğan tarama testlerini yaptırmak üzere yeniden sağlık kuruluşuna başvurup başvurmadıkları belirlendi. Veriler SPSS 22.0 paket programı kullanarak değerlendirildi. Bulgular: Annelerin %52'sinin 26-35 yaşlar arasında olduğu, %48,7'sinin ilkokul ve altında eğitim düzeyine sahip olduğu, %11,6'sının birinci dereceden akraba evliliği yaptığı belirlendi. Annelerin %51,4'ünün yenidoğan tarama testlerine yönelik bilgilerini kısmen yeterli bulduğu, %66,3'ünün sağlık personelinden bilgi almak istediği saptandı. Annelerin % 54,8'inin bazı hastalıkların anne ya da baba aracılığı ile bebeğe geçebileceğini, %56'sının kalıtsal geçişli hastalıkların ortaya çıkmasında akraba evliliğinin etkili olduğunu, %51,3'ünün bu hastalıkların bebekte geri dönüşsüz beyin hasarına %42'sinin fiziksel büyüme ve gelişme geriliğine yol açtığını, %48'inin bebeğin topuğundan alınacak iki damla kan ile tanı konulabildiğini bildiği saptandı. Annelerin %46,7'si topuk kanı ile beslenme arasındaki ilişkiye, %48,2'si topuk kanı alınması için en uygun zamana, %58,5'i erken tanı ve tedavinin hastalığın ilerlemesini engelleyip engellemediğine ilişkin kararsız olduğunu belirtti. Postpartum taburculuk sonrası annelerin 219'una ulaşılabildi. Annelerin %48,4'ü postpartum 1 haftadan sonra sağlık kuruluşuna başvurduklarını, %65,8'i yenidoğan tarama testinin ebeler tarafından gerçekleştirildiğini, %77,6'sı işleme ilişkin bilgilendirildiğini belirtti. Sonuç: Tarama programlarının başarısında annelerin katılımı ve farkındalığı önemlidir. Bu araştırmanın amacı, el yıkama ve paraziter hastalıklar eğitiminin okul çocuklarının bilgi ve davranışları üzerine etkisini belirlemektir. Ebeler ve perinatal kliniklerde çalışan hemşireler, perinatal hasta güvenliğinin sağlanmasında sağlık bakımı veren ekibin önemli birer üyesi olarak kabul edilmektedir. Araştırmanın amacı, perinatal kliniklerde çalışan ebe ve hemşirelerin perinatal hasta güvenliği kavramına ilişkin görüş ve uygulamalarını belirlemektir. Araştırma tanımlayıcı araştırma tipinde olup veriler araştırmacılar tarafından oluşturulan anket formları aracılığı ile toplanmıştır. 15 Haziran- 01 Eylül 2013 tarihleri arasında perinatal kliniklerde görev yapan ve çalışmaya katılmayı kabul eden 273 ebe ve hemşire araştırmanın örneklemini oluşturmuştur. Katılımcıların yaş ortalamasının 32.7±7.5 olduğu, perinatal hasta güvenliği kavramını bildiğini ifade edenlerin %66.3’ünün bilgilerini yeterli bulduğu, ebelerin %33.1’inin, hemşirelerin %24’ünün perinatal alana özgü hiçbir kurs / sertifikasyon programına katılmadığı belirlenmiştir. Bağlanma, anne ve bebek arasında oluşan; fiziksel, sosyal, emosyonel boyutları olan çok önemli bir süreçtir. Bir bebek sahibi olmak düşüncesi ile başlayan, gebelik sırasında artarak süren ve doğum sonu ilk saatler içinde optimal düzeye ulaşan bu süreç, etkili iletişim, etkileşim ve desteklerle güçlendirilebilmektedir. Araştırma tanımlayıcı tipte bir çalışmadır. Çalışmanın amacı, doğum sonrası ilk 24 saat içinde bulunan kadınların (n=300) anne - bebek bağlanmasına ilişkin görüşlerini incelemektir. Veriler araştırmacılar tarafından oluşturulan anket formları aracılığı ile toplanmış ve frekans dağılımı ve ki-kare testi kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Kadınların yaş ortalamasının 26,7+ 6,3 olduğu, yalnızca 1/3'ünün bağlanma kavramına ilişkin bilgi aldığı, bağlanma kavramına ilişkin bilgi alanların önemli bölümünün bilgi kaynağını ebelerin oluştuğu saptanmıştır. Kadınların bebeklerine karşı olumlu duygular besleme durumu ile iyi eş ilişkisi, gebeliğin planlı olması, olumlu aile içi ilişkilerde bulunma, bebeğini ilk 30 dakika içinde kucağına alma, ilk 30 dakika içinde emzirmiş olma, emzirmenin önemine inanma durumları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ilişki bulunmuştur. Etkili bağlanma için annelerin yenidoğan ile ten tene temasının sağlanması, erken ve sık emzirmeye özendirilmesi gerekmektedir. The bonding process, starting with the idea of having a baby, increasing during pregnancy and reaching an optimal level in the first hours of the postpartum period, can be strengthened with effective communication, interaction and supports. This study is a descriptive study. The purpose of the study is to examine the opinions on mother - infant bonding of women within the first 24 hours postpartum (n= 300). Data were collected using a questionnaire developed by the researchers and frequency distribution and chi-square tests were used. for analysis. The average age of the women was 26.7+6.3. Of the participants, 1/3 had received information on the concept of bonding, a significant portion of the knowledge resource was through the education of midwives. The positive feelings of mothers for their babies were found to have statistically significant relationships with positive partner relationships, planned pregnancies, positive family relations, holding the baby within the first 30 minutes, breastfeeding within the first 30 minutes, and believing in the importance of breastfeeding. For efficient bonding, the mother should have skin contact with the newborn and frequent breastfeeding sholud be encouraged. Bu çalışmanın amacı, yenidoğana uygulanan ağrılı işlemlerin ebeveyn - bebek bağlanmasına etkisini belirlemektir. Örneklemi, Kasım 2015 - Mart 2016 tarihleri arasında bir üniversite hastanesinde bebeği yatan 354 ebeveyn (177 anne, 177 baba) oluşturdu. Ebeveynlere araştırmanın amacı açıklandı, sözel onam alındı. Daha sonra ebeveynlerden Ebeveyn Ağrı Değerlendirme Formu’nu, annelerden Maternal Bağlanma Ölçeği’ni (MBÖ), babalardan ise Baba – Bebek Bağlanma Ölçeği’ni (B-BBÖ) doldurmaları istendi. Bebeklerin %70,6’sının hastanede yatış süresi 0-1 hafta arasındadır. Bebeklere uygulanan ağrılı işlemler ebeveynler tarafından damar yolu açma (%100), kan alma (%68,4), enjeksiyon uygulaması (%62,1) olarak sıralanmıştır. Ebeveynlerin %74’ü bebeğin ağlamasını ağrıya verilen bir tepki olarak değerlendirmiştir. Ebeveynlerin %72,3’ü sakinleştirici sesler çıkarmanın, %61,6’sı emzirmenin bebeğin ağrı hissini azaltmada etkili olacağını düşünmektedir. Annelerin MBÖ’nden aldıkları toplam puan ortalamalarının 83,5±8,7; babaların B-BBÖ toplam puan ortalamasının 55,6±10,2 olduğu bulunmuştur. The sample is consisted of 354 parents whose babies are at newborn clinics of a university hospital between November 2015-March 2016 dates. Parents were informed about the purpose of the study, verbal consent was taken. After that, from parents Parental Pain Assessment Form, from mothers Maternal Attachment Inventory (MAI), from fathers Postnatal Paternal-Infant Attachment Questionnaire (PPAQ) were asked to fill out. Painful processes applied to infants in newborn clinics are listed by parents as establishing vascular access, bloodletting, application of injection. 74% of parents’ thought that baby's crying, 60.5% of them wrinkling the forehead were reactions to the pain. 72.3% of parents’ think that making calming sounds, 61.6% of them breastfeeding would be effective in reducing baby's pain sensation. The total average score mothers took from MAI was found to be 83.5±8.7 and the total average score fathers took from PPAQ was found to be 55.6±10.2.
